i needed to have this thread. i needed it to be here, too. i needed everyone to see this is a mistake we have made over and over and over.

ok one more mitch thought today: I love that he's 93 again. the symmetry of it all with london is nice but mostly I love that his 16 era was his toronto era. he didn't take the 16 elsewhere, it can kind of live forever in the 1634 era. and by going back to 93 he's taking a little piece of home with him. doug gilmour has said he would have told the leafs to let mitch wear 93, and now that he's gone back to it he's kind of reviving that little bit of childhood leafs love. it's nothing groundbreaking but it took me from sad about the 16 era being over to kind of happy about the change.
