☬   Grinning as she leaned back against one of the rocks, twitting away had some wood, she listened to his answer and took in the sights of his old village. There was a lot more children running around than before. Those they had seen as children back when they first met had children of their own now. Only a few elders left in the village from those days. “It makes enough sense,” Eyes back on the small carving in her hand, a child’s gift for one of birthdays coming up, she kept doing it all by hand, despite having magic to do better for her.   Hearing his question back to her the thought in mind came that she had expected him to come here alone. When he had asked her to join him, she found herself unable to say no. Even if the group would split up for a small break, she would be okay traveling still, waiting for them all to rest and return. If he hadn’t asked, she’d still be hunting down the two they were looking for, split between the anger and loneliness of it. “I ╾ Yes,” She answered honestly. “I wasn’t expecting you to ask, but I suppose out of everyone, leaving you was the hardest to accept.” Blowing the carvings off the design, she lowered it and glanced over to him. Thinking out loud on what she felt had become a habit as of late, hoping he would understand it was the only way she could see if those feelings felt right. Still coming to terms with a relationship that was building between them, it was hard to tell, but from everything she learned before he came into her life this was the most intriguing thing yet.

ᚦ  Hearing her answer, Caleb’s head tilted as he leaned back against the tree that he was sat against. “I asked for the same reason... I don’t think I’d have coped very well with you by my side.” He admitted, his tone of voice almost bashful in nature. Which was odd coming from such a burly and huge man like him who rarely came across as bashful.

Scanning his eyes over the villege around them, Caleb never imaged himself sitting comfortably within this community again. Especially since the last time he had been here, most still shunned him for what he became. If it hadn’t been for Ziencora, things would still be the same. He would still be alone in his cabin within the woods, struggling to control the urge to kill and feed on any living thing near him. 

Sighing gently, Caleb stretched his legs out before glancing over towards Ziencora again, smiling when he caught a good glance of what she was making for one of the local kids birthdays. “Ewan will love that.” He then commented, smoothly changing the subject but still showing just how comfortable he actually was with what he had just admitted.

"It's the same but different... if that makes any sense." He spoke up, placing the bird feather he used as a bookmark between his book pages before closing it over. "Did you expect to come back here with only myself?" He then questioned, his head tilting as he scanned his eyes over her features. He had mentioned coming back to his homeland and expected it to be alone, despite how close he and Ziencora had grown and despite them revealing their feelings towards one another. She had been travelling with Drako, Crowa and Alacard longer than she had with him and never expected her to part ways with them. Even if it was only for a while before they all met up again.
