bringing in the cavalry / ft. @sikeun … "he would be pretty easy to spot, though," eunsik notes, glancing at the crowd forming outside. "he's got these awful face tattoos. i'm talking real ugly. one of them's supposedly a barbed arrow that runs across his cheeks and mouth, but it's a little botched. you'll know when you see it."
in the years of working for aegis - even before that; soyeon had heard her fair share of stories. they almost sounded like fairytales, the obvious bad guys being fought by the hero of the story, maybe saving a princess along the way. rarely had she expected these stories to be so close to reality. smoke escaped her lips as she played with the filter of her cigarette between her fingers - the orange tip already bent in shape as it rolled in between fingertips.
standing with eunsik, agent operator, she leaned against the wall and listened to him intently. the queue to the club was growing, and soyeon could just wonder why. "you enjoy clubs?", she asked - just small talk. "always thought the loud music was pretty distracting. but I guess that's the whole point. being distracted from boring life to dance around a bit.", a soft chuckle escaped her, shaking her head. "maybe we should do that sometime as well?", she pondered, after all it sounded a bit more pleasant than roughing up some questionable individual.
soyeon knew that she didn't exactly look threatening, and that she had to work with the element of surprise on her side. "alright, horrible tattoo on face.", soyeon confirmed, a brow raising in curiosity.
"wait, a barbed, botched arrow - that's just... unfortunate. how can you botch a straight line?", the agent wondered out loud, motioning with her head towards the line of the club, the faint sound of music reverberating in the alley. her cigarette butt hit the floor, quickly stomped out by her boot.
"looks like him, doesn't it?"
what looked like the suspect - at least someone who looked like they had a face smeared with something slightly resembling a tattoo - was close to the queue, talking to some people. "shall we go in?"

task: agents' fine clothing
agent ghost likes to dress casual and comfy. when she is out on missions, she will make sure to cover herself in any equipment necessary, so she prefers clothing which makes her move easily. she likes soft fabrics and practical clothing – on her days off she tries to stay comfy. soyeon is definitely not the type to wear dresses or put on heels, and tries to wear either black or white clothing ( but mostly black ), maybe a bit of color on a special occasion.

water cooler conversations @ikxros eyeing the cigarette in her hand, his smile transforms into a grin. and a cheeky one, at that. “i forgot my pack in my room…” he trails off, knowing exactly how she was going to react. this would be the fifth cigarette he bummed off her this week, if his mental tally was anything to go by. “i promise i’ll buy you a pack next time i go out. can i have one, pretty please?”
soyeon didn't really feel like she had any particular evening routine - sometimes she would be up working late, sometimes she would be dozing off in her room from the early evening. however, some things just stuck to her. one good habit and one bad habit: brushing her teeth and having a smoke. and as the day came to an end, she had found herself in the smoking area, as usual. lost in her thoughts, she was pondering about upgrading her equipment sometime soon, maybe even choosing some new weapons. she would have to talk to agent vulcan...
the sound of someone approaching pulled her out of her thoughts, eyes landing onto leather loafers first. it didn't take her much more to figure out who was approaching her, as it had become a common occurrence over the past few years. soyeon wasn't one to talk much, as she considered her own small talk to be uncomfortable; in a sense that she would later question if what she had said was appropriate or if it was just boring. however, thankfully, she had gotten used to the presence of agent Ikaros.
"yujin. good evening.", she greeted him, her gaze finally moving up to his face. of course, there would be a mischievous grin on his lips. she couldn't help but pulling one herself, shaking her head lightly in disbelief. "I am starting to think that you do not actually own any pack yourself." the field agent spoke as she fished a pack of cigarettes out of the pocket of her hoodie, flicking the top part open to offer yujin one. "might be good on you, stuff is unhealthy anyway.", soyeon added on before she took another drag, exhaling the smoke through her lips shortly after.
"you look so proper today, any special guests at the lounge tonight?", soyeon asked, brow arching slightly as she eyed the other; knowing that he could look like a completely different person if he wanted to. "or any drama happening that you witnessed? I sometimes wonder if you get to experience some sort of rich-people drama every day.", she said, genuinely curious. "gossip in exchange for cigarettes, please."

open starter location: aegis int. training grounds open to: anyone
the training dummy basically towered over her — when she had first joined aegis, it was hard to get it to merely budge. the humanoid structure had broad shoulders and a blank face, a face that soyeon had been hitting over and over, her hand feeling rather sore. she had wanted to learn a more direct approach; however she wasn't sure if she had made any progress - as the faceless human just stood there, devoid of opinion and thoughts.
turning on her heels, she quietly moved towards a corner of the training room, sitting down. towel hanging from her shoulders, soyeon took a sip of water, eyes scanning the room. she hadn't really expected another presence anytime soon, but her hand moved up into a wave.
"have you ever thought of a name?", the words left her mouth before she could think more of it. "you know, the dummy, you think it got a name?", soyeon wondered out loud, resting her chin onto the fist of her hand, hunched over in her position. "it gets punched every day and doesn't even have a name, what a terrible fate, no?"

date: saturday 10am location: kitchen nook / headquarters with: @eyesoneve
sometimes, she didn't know what to do with herself on the weekends. they were supposed for resting, but soyeon liked to keep her mind occupied, so more often than not, the rest days were washed away by training, reading or even checking e-mails. on this particular saturday morning, soyeon had found herself wandering around with her favorite cup - nothing special, she just liked that it was slightly bigger than the usual ones - her feet automatically bringing her towards the closest kitchen corner from the sleeping quarters. she had just finished smoking a cigarette, hoping to wash off the smell of her hands at the sink and refill her cup with freshly brewed coffee. she needed this, as she could feel a slight pain pulsating around her eye area. she was way too aware of the bruise that stretched over the side of her face, it felt embarrassing, a sign that she lacked awareness on her last mission.
what she didn't expect seeing in the small kitchen, was the psychological analyst. soyeon could feel her body tensing up, hoping she could just turn around and leave again, but that would be weird. after all, choi yeseul hadn't really done anything bad. soyeon just didn't want to hear it. sometimes she'd lay in bed, trying to sleep, and choi yeseul would invade her thoughts, talking about something obvious - that maybe was true, maybe not - soyeon shook her head. god damn it. that was why she usually tried to avoid the other.
"good morning.", she announced her presence, placing her cup down onto the counter. the kitchen nook suddenly felt smaller than ever. soyeon tried to peek over to see whatever yeseul might be doing. "not leaving the headquarters today?", she tried her best at smalltalk - the best she could do with how she somehow started to feel frustrated by the situation she had found herself in. "I need some coffee.", she added on sheepishly, her lips pressing together, trying to not let her feelings show.

soyeon could - in fact - believe that real had to get rid of all that stuff. her eyes laid upon what seemed like a mountain of clothing and miscellaneous little bits and bobs. the agent could feel a slight itching underneath her skin as she thought about having to organize all of that; she liked to keep her surrounds organized for the sake of not having to clean and organize for too long. "no, l can't believe it. what could be of more importance?", soyeon stated, expression unfazed. she had been leaning against the wall, watching over her friend seemingly go under in clothes, finally pushing herself off to make her way closer towards the mountain that she hoped she wouldn't have to climb. she eyed the dress that had been held up, brows raising slightly as her imagination ran wild. "who were you trying to seduce with that anyways...? i'm sure it takes less...", she cut herself short, knowing that an alluring real was a bullet proof method of extracting information out of anyone.
soyeon listened, shaking her head lightly. "me? your clothes? in your dreams.", she had let out a chuckle - eyes rolling back. "aren't you scared i'd look way hotter than you?", she joked, finally moving in to help her friend with putting away the clothes, knees resting on a pile of dresses as she started putting accessories on a pile. soon enough, her butt was on the floor as she turned to watch the other point out the dress on the wall. "look...", soyeon started, but her head had started moving from side to side before she could even really think about it. she had been amused by the entire situation and it, if it was even possible, made her grow fonder of the other. you would never know what would happen next with her, bringing a lot of joy to her day-to-day life.
as she was about to reject the idea, she suddenly blurted out: "ah, fuck it, right?", quickly on her feet again, she stepped through little piles of things as she made her way towards the mini dress. rather quickly, the shirt and pants she had been wearing came off, unceremoniously also becoming part of 'the mountain' as she tried to squeeze herself into the dress. "i feel like i am going to suffocate. how do you feel comfortable, like, ever? i don't get it.", soyeon grunted, her hands tugging on the hems of the dress, trying to pull it down over her thighs. "i feel like a sausage.", unamused, she did a little twirl, showing off the outfit. "you should try my outfit, maybe you just have never experienced something comfortable?", she said with a hint of sarcasm, stepping closer to her friend, turning around to show off the bow in the back. "do you already know what to wear for your next thing?"
𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 : internal storage room at aegis international. 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 : 09:41 am. 𝐖𝐇𝐎 : work wife soyeon ( @leavenomess ) 𝐅𝐈𝐓 : x.
"can you believe they're making me get rid of all this stuff?" real's voice echoed out from behind a large pile of clothing, all in various colors and styles. it was one of many fabric mountains scattered throughout the large storage room, meant to hold things deemed necessary for certain missions. apparently, real's ever growing collection of revealing outfits, elegant wigs and pricey accessories were not on that list. "they said i have to make room for 'other things of greater importance'. i get it but ... " she pauses to hold up a little black dress that left decidedly little to the imagination. "oof, that was a good one. oh! and this one," she retrieves a red floor length beaded gown with a slit that reaches the upper thigh. exciting memories were attached to each of these pieces, but at least they were going to a good cause. her head pops over the clothing pile at her friend — nay, platonic soulmate, soyeon. they had been in the agency for roughly the same amount of time, and a lot had transpired in those six long years. a level of trust that she'd built with no one else had developed between them, and soyeon was always someone she trusted to have her back in and out of the field. "i'm gonna be donating a lot of it, but i'm making you take something too!," she beams an electric smile at the other, the sloped tips of her fingers gently grazing her sides playfully. a dramatic gasp springs forth from real, as she approaches a burgundy mini dress hung up on the wall. it was somewhat more modest than her usual choices in the field and had a two tiered flared skirt with a large bow tying the ensemble together in the back. "yeonnie! you would look hot in this!" she sings, fanning herself in rhythm with her words.

hi everyone! i’m sumi and i’m bringing you park soyeon aka ghost! her original skeleton is shadowstrike - she’s a professional at stealth and subterfuge. i really cannot wait to get started with plotting with all of you, so i’ll probably reach out to you via dms soon! i’m also open to plot via discord, if you’d like to exchange usernames we can totally do that.
i have a short profile and bio linked in the pinned post, however i’d like to add onto them as time passes and i figure out more things about soyeon. under the read more is a quick summary about her. as mentioned, i hope we can plot soon! 🖤
quick summary:
soyeon grew up with her father in a modest way of living
she never had much and grew up a bit rough and tomboyish
after finishing high school, she didn't have the funds to go to university, so she immediately started a job as a security guard
working the graveyard shift often, she got to liking the quiet and being aware of her surroundings
later on, she changed her job to become a body guard, working her way up and learning martial arts - becoming the security guard of a rather well known female celebrity
she got discovered by aegis through an incident that threatened the life of the celebrity, which soyeon quickly prevented from happening
she has joined aegis about 6 years ago and has been working there ever since
some little plot ideas:
work is boring (sometimes) : just two work buddies who like to hang out with each other at all times possible - you can't be working 8 hours a day and completely focus anyway, right? their friendship is fueled on coffee and gossip.
the flesh is weak : even though soyeon has a generally grumpy demeanor and isn't much of someone who plays into 'interaction games', she gets oddly weak with you. any silly idea and any unnecessary activity, she's up for it. she just won't get tired of seeing your face.
personal vendetta : there's someone out there who is just annoying enough, someone who has done something to your muse that just didn't sit right, maybe it is someone who annoyed soyeon herself - either way, you set out in a little stalking mission, just to scare them a little.
secret penpals : who keeps leaving letters in the books at aegis?
the round : what's the obsidian lounge for if it's not for looking fancy and having a drink? just that soyeon never looks fancy and doesn't drink ; however, you gotta have fun sometimes, right? late night talks and too many cigarettes.
