Alecto really wasn’t one for leaving things last minute. She hated the rushed feeling and she certainly didn’t enjoy the lack of sleep. Yet here she was, staring down the last few inches of her parchment, pulling her hair for some sort of information she might have missed, something to add to the document. <b>”You know I don’t normally. But it’s been a busy week.”</b> It was true. Amycus seemed particularly needy this week. It seemed like every time she sat down, he needed something. Advice about a girl, help with his potions assignment. Really, it was slightly annoying, especially since her brother was quiet suave and very smart. She didn’t understand <i>why</i> he’d been acting like that.

As the words came from her friend’s mouth, Alecto’s eyes drifted back up to gaze at the beautiful blonde from her parchment where they’d fallen, taking her back into her thoughts of the essay. <b>”Insomnia is never pleasant.”</b> She stated simply, sitting up a little as she added a line hurriedly, recalling that unicorn hairs were an ingredient in a potion that helped sleep. Returning to brushing the feather across her face, she looked at her friend. <b>”Have you tried anything for it?”</b> She asked, sliding her fingers through her soft, dark hair and giving the roots a little pull to keep herself stimulated. She really could have handled some of Cissa’s insomnia at this point. She was just ready to crawl into bed and go to sleep.

Narcissa was one of the few left sitting in the common room when she began to feel tired, her life really had been looking up over the past couple of days and she was in the best mood she’d been in for a while, however she was scared that the bubble would burst and life would go back to the way it used to be and she really didn’t want that to happen, not now.

She heaved herself off of the large, black leather couch that was opposite the crackling fire and headed for her dormitory; which she shared with one of her best friends Alecto Carrow and two other girls she didn’t deign to know the names of. She walked up the stairs and opened the door to find Alecto still awake and another girl tucked up in bed. She moved over to her bed, which was the one situated nearest Alecto.

“What are you doing awake so late, ‘Lecto?” she whispered quietly

If there was a woman on the face of the earth that didn't melt from head to toe at Evan Rosier's puppy dog eyes, she was probably blind and deaf and dead. She had to be all three because a blind woman could still hear that lush voice and even if she was blind and deaf, she would still be able to feel his touch, feel his soft, seductive kisses along her neck, enticing her. So thus, she would have to be blind, deaf and dead because Alecto was convinced that Evan Rosier's puppy dog eyes could restart a dead heart and raise the dead.Yes, those eyes were that good. Alecto let him pull her in, chalking it up to mostly those puppy dog eyes. Unable to help herself, Alecto's hand wandered over his bare chest, letting her legs tangle in his. "Mr. Rosier, you are quiet the charmer aren't you?" She said, lips perking and shaking her head. It was warm under these blankets with him. Once again in a very short period of time, Alecto was naked, only almost completely this time, in his bed, body tangled in his. Most nights she would have just snuck away but she wasn't ready to tonight. She was perfectly content with staying in these arms and indulging a bit for a while longer. Her eyes had been trailing over his chest, following her hand as it explored the all too familiar expanse when he addressed her, drawing her attention, lifting her eyes to meet his. She nodded. "Amycus would be all too happy to make his feelings on our arrangement clear should he find out about it." She said, lips curling in a small smile. Amycus was part of the thrill. Here his sister was, crawling in bed with a friend of his an the boy was oblivious. Of course Alecto would fend off her brother should he find out through a fault of her own but he was a nice threat to have to help encourage Evan to keep their deeds to himself. Letting her fingers drift over his plush, oh-so-kissable lips, Alecto's lips perked. "Because I am a lady Mr. Rosier. And I do not take kindly to being thought of as anything less." She said in her sultry tone, eyes drifting up to meet his, seeing if this answer delighted him. But of course, it was only a tidbit of her reasoning. Just the tip of the iceberg.

Completely sated, Alecto turned slightly amused eyes to the younger man, a small smile curling across her lips. She slid her knickers into place and looked at him, leaning back a little to look at him, her long dark hair falling back off her shoulders. She had to admit, Evan Rosier looked dashing by moonlight. "Now why would I stay longer when we've already had our fun?" She asked with that teasing, amused tone of hers. She allowed her eyes to run over him for a brief moment before going to the indicated dresser and lowering herself to the floor, reaching under it, completely aware she was giving Evan a view worth enjoying. Standing up, Alecto dusted off the fabric in her arms and tossed it to the bed and looking at her very limited amounts of clothing. "Any idea where the rest of it is?" She said, lips perking in a half cocked smile, giving him a once over before returning to her search. There was a reason she couldn't stay, a reason she wouldn't curl up in his arms and allowed herself to relish in the warmth of his arms and that comforting feeling of falling asleep in a man's arms. It was very simply because he was not hers to sleep with, to cuddle and she was not his. Running her fingers through her hair, she couldn't help but steal a third glance at him, letting this one linger as she crawled back on the bed. "Merlin it's cold." She mused, tucking under the blanket, pressing her cold toes against him.

Alecto Carrow was not a promiscuous woman. Not by a long shot. She was unapproachable, unattainable and for the most part, unfriendly but promiscuous? No. Most people who found out about her indiscretion would have been completely shocked. The male population probably would have given Evan Rosier a high five or a pat on the back and asked him how he did it.  Joshua Nott would have bought him all the fire whiskey he could drink to get his secret from him since he had a thing for unattainable bitches but in all honesty, Alecto had gone to Evan. At the time he'd been more promiscuous than he was now but he served his purpose and he served it well. Tonight for instance, Alecto found herself in the boys dormitory and she'd been none too quiet about what happened in the bed but thankfully silencing spells kept the other boys' attention away from her and Evan. Once they'd finished, Alecto looked down at him, lips perking in a small smile as she lowered herself to kiss his forehead in gratitude before sliding off him carefully and looking around the dark space for her clothes.

Alecto looked up at the sound of approaching footsteps. Curiosity perked in her expression and she tilted her head tot he side, brushing the end of the feather quill in her fingers across her lips. When the familiar face of Narcissa Black appeared, Alecto's lips curled into a small smile, "Good Evening Cissa." She said, returning to the parchment in front of her and adding another line as it came to her. Taking a moment, she watched Cissa cross the room and settle in bed. Blowing on the flimsy feather a little, Alecto sighed some. "Just finishing up this essay for Slughorn." She replied simply, measuring it and sighing some. If neatness didn't require her to keep her writing neat and uniform, she would have increased the size of her letters for the next few lines to meet requirements. That, however, work irk the girl and she'd just end up re-writing the whole assignment. "What are you doing awake Dearest?" She asked, looking up and giving the blonde her full, undivided attention for the first time since she walked in.

Alecto sighed and twisted her fingers through her dark hair, tugging at the roots a little for stimulation. The candle light by which she was doing her essay for Potions flickered. Honestly, the dim light was doing nothing to help Alecto stay awake in the late hours of the night. Even the common room was mostly empty which was saying a great deal seeing as this was the Slytherin Common Room and the house of snakes tended to be night owls. But mostly didn't include Joshua Nott who was all too happily snogging some fifth year girl, tugging at her heartstrings and likely telling her that she was the only one for him. Really, the manner in which that man conducted himself was purely disgusting. It didn't matter how respectable the name Nott was, Joshua disgusted Alecto. Pure, plain and simple. 

Licking her lips, Alecto looked around her dormitory. Two of the four beds were empty. The other had one of her classmates tucked away, snoring lightly. Alecto's eyes lingered on the girl for a moment before she turned back to her essay. She still had six inches to go. She'd been too straightforward about the uses of unicorn hairs in potions and was wracking her brain for a nice closer for the assignment so that she would meet the requirements. So far, all she'd done was recap the uses over again and added in bits about the magical qualities. Still it wasn't enough and Alecto's lack of sleep was starting to catch up with her.
