OUR FESTIVAL’S LINEUP

for this event, the theme is summer and music! it is up to you what you would like to write and how to decipher this prompt!

it can be inspired by a summer-like song, a song that takes place in a summer setting, takes place in a summer festival, and many others! once again, you have the creative freedom to write what you want! your work just needs to incorporate both summer and music!

SUBMISSIONS WILL BE TAKEN STARTING FROM NOW TO THE FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER [9/1-9/7]. this is to ensure everyone has time to release their work!

OUR FESTIVAL’S GUIDELINES

to participate in this event, you must be a member of k-films! slots are still open, so if interested, make sure to check out our pinned post and our rules for all of our applicants!

to our k-film members, all questions would be preferably asked in our discord server! an overview of event details can be found there, so please make sure to look over it! if you don’t have current access to the server, please dm either us, @miumura, or @himewonu for the link!

as stated previously, submissions will not be taken no later than september 7th. anything submitted after that will not be put on our masterlist for this event specifically.

as always, make sure to follow our guidelines of what is required for your works. so, include genre, warnings, pairing, word count, etc. at the top of your work.

any kind of work will be accepted! this means that a written fic and a short smau/text fic will be accepted! as well as sfw or nsfw topics will also be accepted as long as they fit our guidelines. for written works, any word count is accepted as long as you surpass 400 words! there is no maximum wc afterwards!

hi. by the looks of my layout, i believe it is pretty obvious that i am a briize and as a briize, if you are supporting riize or keeping up with them and engaging with their official content, i am begging all of you to STOP IMMEDIATELY.

please please please please please BOYCOTT RIIZE. do not support any of their future content, releases, albums, etc.

this is not hate towards the boys but to SM Entertainment themselves who have failed to protect seunghan as a person and as their artist.

I’m going to speak candidly for a moment.

I’ve been on an unofficial hiatus, specifically, since the event of the Taeil situation, as it brought back some negative memories. A teacher of mine was arrested for the sexual abuse of minors, I was close to this man, he was my mentor for around 3 years. For some reason I can’t fully explain, the taeil situation opened the wound I’ll never really heal from.

And now, with the seunghan situation, I’ve lost almost all motivation to continue writing in the kpop space. To see a young man, who didn’t do anything wrong, receive more hate than an actual abuser, makes me sick. To see that fans are more upset about someone dating as a teen, than a man abusing women, makes me disappointed in my own fandom.

I don’t know if I will return, but I need to take a break. I’m heartbroken for seunghan, and I no longer feel right involving him in my smau.

I hope I can return in time. I hope all my followers are doing well, and that you all take the time and care you deserve.
