i think some of my biggest disdain for the prescense of ai on the web is as follows

the internet is not actually someplace i go to <consume funny content> i like going online because i can connect with real people, and i see the slow march of ai polluting the social well of actual humans using the internet

(additionally the steady erosion of webpages made by real people being replaced by ai generated fake advertisement websites)

reduction of genuine connection, the commodification and sanitization of interaction: its use to automatically moderate and hide anything that could be potentially pornographic or controversial

the futhering of a surveillance police state, ai drastically cut down on the information that authority needs to manually comb through

the increased automation of targetting/profiling minorities, in particular, across a racial context

things i do not think ai does:

poisons the soul

"steals" "intellectual property"

cause environmental damage that is any more significant than what capitalist mega corporations are already doing

I'm getting really fucking tired of queer non black artists using the excuse of "I don't want to get scrutinized for drawing black characters harmfully so I choose to not depict them at all" like you guys just sound racist as fuck considering that there are so many tutorials and black artist making guides on what to avoid by a simple Google search

you people are CHOOSING white comfortability over showing solidarity with black artists. I'm not saying that if you don't draw black people properly you're evil, but rather how I find it wayyy more offensive to avoid us all together.
