Currently writing up a more accurate map of Gallifrey, considering the current one is a bit dodgy and not very descriptive. I am using knowledge from every part of the shows universe, extended of otherwise, if anyone has any knowledge they would like to contribute, please please please reblog with that!!!

The og map of gallifrey we all know and hate Olyesti-a north east city near the patrex academy (source: The Eight doctors) Riff city and pydros near the prydonian academy and the prydonian wall (source: rough guide of gallifrey) Mocra (Capitol-inghrast)/cadon (capitol-shadonai) and other countries on gallifrey (I know weird how they only appeared once right? esp considering the house of lungbarrow is IN Cadon, and dvora too) (Source: Various comics-don't know the names sorry!!! I didn't keep a good record when I started this list) The Biomes of each area->Literally everywhere. I mean in the show we see that Mocra has both deserts, forest and jungle (Source:five doctors, yet they obvs don't call it Mocra there, but might do in the Novelisation??? ) Gua shen living in the mountains on the continent of Wild endeavour near the sea ocean of Poon. Very helpful random VNA. Considering the land that borders it is completely covered in mountains. Thankfully someone mentions them being near the Dvora academy or I'd be totally lost. Very funny how Romana is most likely got some cat DNA in her though. Okay this list is really long and mostly doesn't have sources so repeats are okay if it allows me to properly cite ts.

So first, let's clear a common misconception: no, President Abraham Lincoln did not love Black people nor see them as human equals. At best he was centrist about it (though, even his implication that 'exceptional' Black men ought to vote got him assassinated).

The "freeing of slaves" after the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 was meant to kneecap the economic and military powers of the seceded South. Lettuce stop making a white savior figure out of Lincoln, or thinking that my people's shackles were unchained via anything other than desperate war strategy and extreme violence. Think on that, for a moment.

But not everyone in Confederate territory would immediately be free. Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was made effective in 1863, it could not be implemented in places still under Confederate control. As a result, in the westernmost Confederate state of Texas, enslaved people would not be free until much later. Freedom finally came on June 19, 1865, when some 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state, were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as "Juneteenth," by the newly freed people in Texas.

Consider going through the Smithsonian website to learn about Juneteenth! Recognize why it's an actual day of freedom, versus July 4th and the independence of a select few.

i feel like im a bad influence on the academy era fandom because i kinda just draw koschei and theta looking like the most boring guys ever . and i suppose some people probably look at my art and think "this isnt interesting enough/they dont look alien enough/the fashion is too human/they should be wearing robes" .

when i think of all that, i feel bad. but then again, this is all i draw, and it makes me happy to interact with other fans. sharing my art is a way to find other ae artists (it does work), and so i don't think i will stop posting. but nonetheless, the awareness is there.

It has been abundantly clear to me that the pro-Palestine movement's antisemitism, anti-Israelis-as-people sentiment, glorification of violence, and all the other components of the shit stew that I'm currently too angry to articulate, were going to lead to extreme violence, including against Jews in diaspora. I have been telling y'all for over a year and a half to collect your fucking people and you will not do it. I have been trying to educate gently and with nuance and provide a voice that is neither "there's no antisemitism in the movement" nor "antizionism is antisemitism." And yet somehow for either the message does not get through or frankly many of you just do not give a shit. Setting Jews in Colorado on fire will not free Palestine and frankly you are really stupid if you think it will, and also you and I are different because as a general principle I think setting people on fire is bad and you don't.

Anyway I could not be more fucking over it. Your movement is cooked as hell and is also not in any sense "leftist" or "radical." It's actually reactionary as fuck. I’ve had this headcanon that I forget isn’t Fanon, that Academy era Thoschei was quite role reversed from canon best enemies.

What I mean is that Theta would be the one skipping classes, not studying in favor of running through the red grass. Koschei would be the one dutifully attending lectures, always make time to study, except when he needed to keep an eye on Theta. He was a role model student, who was slowly allowing himself to loosen up and have fun.
