Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Night — We want to start off by thanking everyone for their time that they had at Legatum. As you may have noticed, the main has been dropping in activity. We have decided that for the time being, Legatum will be going on a hiatus until further notice. This is in no way completely closing Legatum, in fact, we strongly encourage our members to continue interacting by posting memes or doing replies and we’ll even be posting mini events and tasks during this period, however we will not be posting any activity checks until we come back fully. In turn, we will also be closing our submit box indefinitely and will not be accepting any new members into the group. We hope you all understand, and we hope to keep you all for as long as we can. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to ask us.

We currently do not have a hiatus list anywhere on the main due to not wanting any of our players feel uncomfortable when it comes to their hiatus. We do keep of who is on hiatus and who is not separately. As of right now, there are quite a few who on full hiatus and semi-hiatus but we would rather keep that private! We currently have a ton of open characters that we are just dying to see on our dash!

It had been three days since you barely escaped the clutches of a fiery death. Three days since the Zabini Estate burned to the ground. Three days since you last heard from the Minister of Magic regarding the matter. That is, until today. A statement, with an official letterhead and seal, posts on every bulletin board across the country. As you walk along the usual path to work, you slow to join in on the small group of people congregating around the parchment.

Greetings, all:

After a thorough investigation, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement has concluded that the incident regarding the Fiendfyre during the gala was a mere practical joke and had no malicious intent as speculated. While the investigation continues on finding out who exactly cast the Fiendfyre, the Minister of Magic would like to assure everyone that this was not an attack.

The Minister of Magic would like to commend the brave Aurors who tactfully suppressed the Fiendfyre for long enough that the gala attendants could evacuate, as well as extend his condolences to those few who became injured or who had perished during the ordeal. The Minister of Magic would also like to formally express his sincerities to Madam Zabini who had opened up their home for the gala only for the estate to be destroyed by a terrible prank.

All of the money raised by the silent auction will be reimbursed to the winners of the prizes out of the Ministry’s own funds, while the money originally raised will still go towards the families affected by the previous attacks. Thank you all for your understanding.

IN REGARDS TO ACCEPTANCES — Due to the schedules of the admins, we have been struggling for a while to get acceptances posted on time. We talked it over and decided that it would be best to move the acceptance date! Starting now, our submit will now close on Sundays at 11:59 PM and acceptances will be posted on Mondays at 8:00 PM EST. ZAHRA ( she/her ) IS ACCEPTED FOR THE ROLE OF TARQUIN MCTAVISH ( he/him & cismale ) ! Strumming away on a guitar somehow made the time pass easier and it seemed as if the only time he could ever make sense of what he was feeling- of the anger and the hatred and the mind numbing pain he felt- was when he wrote it in a song. We were all completely blown away by the application and every unsuspected turn that it held, particularly the idea of music and how that’s connected with them. KAI ( she/her ) IS ACCEPTED FOR THE ROLE OF MEENAKSHI FAWLEY ( she/her & cisgender ) ! No, Meenakshi was not an idle girl who settled for the meager, and she never would be. She would work for what she wanted, no matter the cost. It was obvious at how much thought you put in about Meenakshi and this was everything that we expected and so much more. You created a solid character who we are all absolutely in love with. We hope that they get exactly what they want -- no matter the cost.

LOLA ( she/her ) IS ACCEPTED FOR THE ROLE OF GWENOG JONES ( she/her & gender tbd ) ! You either loved her or hated Gwenog Jones but you couldn’t disrespect her. The backstory that you wrote about their family was absolutely beautiful. The sheer pressure that more than likely was placed on their shoulders, with their parents losing everything and all of their hopes were on Gwenog must have been rough but we absolutely love it. ERIN ( she/her ) IS ACCEPTED FOR THE ROLE OF GRETA CATCHLOVE ( she/her/hers & ciswoman ) ! Much like the recipes she loves, magic simply takes following the instructions and executing steps well. There is so much potential in this application when it comes to Greta and we can see so much growth for Greta to have in the roleplay which is exactly what we want to see. Often she really tries to keep her mouth shut, but then her self-control slips and the question is out before she can even realize it happening. We absolutely loved how you wrote about the conflict between their parents and the loneliness they felt as a young child who just wanted someone to be there for them. Due to the admins’ busy schedules, none of us had time to review the applications and we won’t get the chance until tomorrow.
