MILA’S
Tumblr media
Ranked as one of the best Carenderias in Angeles City, Pampanga, MILA’s has been popular ever since it was established back in 1989. They were originally famous for their Tokwa’t Baboy, but now they’re known for their delicious and tasty crispy Sisig.
Tumblr media
MILA’s is very spacious and has a lot of space for indoor and outdoor dining. It is a popular place for families to dine and it tends to grow crowded during weekends and holidays.
MILA’s offers various budget friendly dishes to their menu but the top dishes that makes their customers come back for more are the following:
 Tokwa’t Baboy
Tumblr media
This is where it all started. When a family member introduced this dish to owner Reuben Gomez, he decided to give this a try and serve it to his customers. The tofu is fried perfectly; crispy on the outside and soft at its center. The taste of the pig ears is balanced with the saltiness of their homemade sauce and the freshness of the celery.
Sizzling Sisig
Tumblr media
What makes MILA’s Sisig so special and something to come back to is the pig’s head is boiled, fried until golden, diced, then seasoned perfectly. MILA’s take on the classic Sisig is refreshing and something different and unique in the taste of the Kapampangans. Highly recommended!
 BBQ Tocino
Tumblr media
It is a dish where the home-made tocino is skewered and grilled. MILA’s has found a new way of enjoying it! The charring caramelizes the outside and at the same time infuses a smoky flavor. This dish is best enjoyed with spiced vinegar on the side.
We think that MILA’s is a great representation of the cuisine of Pampanga, Although they put their own twists, their food is still familiar and comfortable to the taste buds of the Kapampangans. Not to mention, the food here is affordable, but totally worth it! We really recommend giving this place a try!

SUSIE’S
Tumblr media
Pampanga is known as the Culinary Capital of the Philippines. As a visitor of this province one mut never forget to go on a food trip to taste the different dishes offered by this province. Being known as the culinary capital, having notable restaurants is a given but Susie’s Cuisine is one that has been in business for a long time and is still one of the best. Susie’s Cuisine is located along MacArthur Highway, San Fernando, Pampanga. They had humble beginnings, starting out as a small carinderia now they have fourteen branches in different provinces. Susie’s is known for their snacks or merienda kind of menu. They are best known for their Pancit Luglug and kakanin.
Tumblr media
What makes their Pancit Luglug or also known as Palabok so special? Their atsuete based sauce is made perfectly, not too salty, but not too bland either. Another quality of the food is their generous serving. They are not frugal in their sauce and toppings. The hard-boiled egg was not too small either it was a perfect addition to the already delicious combination of the Palabok.
Tumblr media
After a big meal a dessert is certainly the thing to satisfy one’s sweet tooth. The best kakanin to eat is the tibok tibok and mochi. The tibok tibok can be compared to maja blanca but susie’s tibok tibok is better in every way. The gelatin like dessert is made of carabao milk making it a trademark Filipino dish topped with latik to emphasize the taste even more.
The mocha dessert was inspired from a japanese sweet snack.  It is made from sticky rice with mungo beans fillings adding a health factor to the snack. To make it even better, you dip it to a thick coconut milk based dip.
Tumblr media
Filled with culture and amazing dishes, Susie’s truly is the best merienda place for any Filipino. It is also at a affordable price. If you’re alone you can eat at Php. 60 to Php. 80 and if you’re with family and friends, you can enjoy a meal at Php. 480 to Php. 900. When you finish eating, you can also get a pasalubong to take home at the pasalubong corner to be able to bring the Susie’s experience at home.
It’s no doubt that Susie’s Cuisine is a beloved eatery here to the Kapampangans. Their foods and delicacies are affordable as they are delicious. There are numerous branches spread throughout the province, so drop by and get a taste of their delicacies soon!
