Puerto Rico Rebuilding Project
Hello family!, In September 2017 a powerful Category 4 storm(Hurricane Maria), struck Puerto Rico. The strongest storm to make landfall in Puerto Rico in 85 years, Hurricane Maria caused extensive damage to properties worth $91.61 billion and claimed the lives of over 2,000 people. Though over a year has passed, the island continues to struggle to recover.
We, the students of Soka University of America’s Alternative Spring Break (ASB) are committed to supporting the rebuilding efforts of Puerto Rico during our spring break in March. We would appreciate your financial support in making it possible for our team to travel to the island to help out with hurricane relief.
