Legends of S.H.I.E.L.D
1K posts
She/her. Dedicated to my love for DC's best and craziest show: Legends of Tomorrow, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Supergirl (didn't see that coming when it premiered). Sometimes sideblog for Arrowverse and maybe Lucifer.

Been seeing people say that we have to make Twitter completely unprofitable now that Elon owns it, and that's completely true. We need to do that. But we're not going to do that by just being so fucking annoying that no one else wants to be on Twitter. We have to be calculated, coordinated, and so fucking annoying that no brands want to be on Twitter. This must mark the resurgence of The Brand Wars. So if you're on Twitter, you must be completely insufferable to brands. Every brand account you find, comment "SILENCE BRAND" on their posts, block them, tell everyone you know to block them, and move on to the next one. This includes the brands you like. I don't care if Wendy's Twitter is funny; block them. If all the funny popular brand Twitter accounts lose even a quarter of their following in a decently short period of time, they will freak out, and they will blame Musk. If every time you see a sponsored post you immediately block the account that sponsored it, that's money that Twitter can't make off of you anymore, and that's money that Musk loses. We can do this, but we have to do it together, so let's show the world just how powerful a social media community can be and show them that billionaires have no place in that community.

Can't believe you are working on a third installment already and how behind on my reading I am.
I'm so proud of you for how far you've come. I love Unnatural Affairs and will definitely catch up on what I have missed.
If you haven't read it yet, it's an original novel written by my very talented friend. If you were a Carmilla/Buffy/Scooby-Doo fan, you will love it. Oh, and did I mention there is a really adorable, slow burn wlw ship there?
Hey everyone!
Just an update for all of my writings, since it’s been awhile! Work was super busy and crazy there for awhile, and I just was so exhausted that it seemed like a chore to even attempt to write. And I want to love it when I do, so I didn’t want those negative feelings to seep into my stories. I am feeling much better now and I hope to get some balls rolling here soon!
Unnatural Affairs 3 is coming along very slowly, but I just got some huge inspiration recently, so I’m hoping the pace starts picking up now! I’m on chapter 4 currently, but I usually like to have 10 chapters backlogged just in case. Since it’s the last one, I want to make sure I’ve got all the threads tied up accordingly.
I’m working on a second story! It’s set in the same world as UA but takes place after the third book, so that should be really fun! But I gotta finish book 3 first, haha!
I also have an idea for a fairytale inspired story. I only have the character ideas right now, but no defined plot as of now, so I’m gonna work on that slowly.
Anyway, that’s everything! I hope to be posting sooner rather than later!

international friends: here’s the deal. South African scientists have been tracking the COVID genome and keeping an eye out for mutations. Most places in the world aren’t doing so. When we announce a new variant, it’s not necessarily from South Africa, we just publicised the fact that we detected it here. And yet, because we’re a country in the Global South, it doesn’t matter that our scientists are incredible and are doing the world a service by tracking and reporting these things, because our ordinary citizens are being blacklisted because of it and being prevented from entering other countries and placed on red lists for no reason

This is so cool, thank you for tagging me @i-prefer-the-fictional-world I was wondering what had happened.
I am actually surprised that BBC is promoting the show and actually doing something fun.

Do you support minor self diagnosis?
I started cracking my knuckles in fifth grade. My parents asked me why, and I told them it made the pain go away. My parents told me that I was too young for my joints to hurt, and that I would ruin them if I kept cracking them.
By the time was fourteen or fifteen and entering high school, I hadn’t stopped cracking my knuckles. The hurt more, and the relief was more. I was convinced that I had arthritis.
My parents told me that I was too young to have arthritis.
Fast forward thirty seven years when my joints take a dive and I cannot even get out of bed on some days. I take chemo therapy pills twice a week, and I have two injections of chemotherapy ever four months. I have to take two medications every day just to manage the pain the chemotherapy doesn’t cover.
This at least allows me to get out of bed and on most days it allows me to go to school. It doesn’t make the pain go away, and on bad days I want to cry it gets so bad.
The diagnosis? Early Onset Rheumatoid Arthritis.
It went unchecked for twenty five years, my immune system eating away at my joints like a buffet even though I wanted to go to the doctor from day one.
If I had gone to the doctor and I had been wrong - they found nothing - well, we would have been out a few bucks for the doctor’s visit. If I was right - and I was right - I would have been treated for 20 years.
If I had gone to the doctor on my insistence that I had arthritis at fifteen, I would not be in pain today. This would have been treated twenty years go.
Do I support minor self diagnosis?
Yes. Absolutely.
I would rather a minor self diagnose and be wrong than a minor ignore their body and suffer for 20 years like me. No one is harmed by listening to a minor and taking their concerns seriously. But that minor might be harmed for the rest of their life you ignore them.
My choice is always to listen to the minors about their bodies.

Retweeting for my writer friends. @korra-the-red-lion @sapphictv @i-prefer-the-fictional-world @queenofwoldrans
I'm volunteering for a literary journal right now and there's two things I think you all should know.
1. Most people that submit to literary journals are cis white men. We know this because our journal has an anonymous survey about demographics for people that submit.
2. Most things that get submitted to the creative non fiction section are on the level of middle school "What I did over the summer" essays.
I cannot see the demographics of the people whose essays I'm reading, but guys, if you are wondering if you should submit your work to a literary journal or not, I promise you that just in terms of statistics there are a lot of mediocre cis white men and people in general confidently submitting weird crap that isn't literature to literature magazines. Do it. Submit your work. Please. If you want there to be more diversity in literature, be the diversity. Do it. Do it do it do it.

Damn, GC might have been the only reason why I was still on Tumblr.
All good things...
We love coming up with new features to make your experience on Tumblr more visceral; when they don’t work out that way, we remove them to make space for new features. Unfortunately, group chats haven’t lived up to our expectations, so we’ll be removing them from Tumblr this month.
Some of you have really leaned into group chats, discussing the merits of various sourdough proofing times, sharing your WIPs with new audiences, and exchanging complicated fan theories on the provenance of Croki.
The majority of you, however, have preferred to have these interactions elsewhere. And so, as we get ready to remove the group chat feature from Tumblr, it’s time to take these conversations to your reblog chains, your replies, and your messages. We’ll leave your chats up until September 22 at 6pm EST. After that, well, the weird will continue to be your oyster.
