     were reign not paying attention a hand would SMACK against his back & force him ( with surprising strength ) into crouching. next to him would be cale, who is in the middle of one of his many ESCAPE PLANS, none of which have come to fruition so far. but this. this could be it. he holds a pale finger to his lips & looks icily at the older teenager — as if there will be HELL to pay if reign dares to speak.      they are hidden in the hallway behind a trash bin. footsteps draw near: those of a nurse who may look kind & innocent .  .  .  but cale KNOWS is up to the same nefarious plot as every other ward employee. as the nurse draws closer, cale pulls out a knife. a small one used for regular dining. as long as it is sharp he can make good use of it.
