I reblog pictures and quotes...instead of posting up any of my creations...because I suppose I should just let the pictures do the talking of their thousand words. Also, I gather quotes made by other people, because, afterall, people should know that we’re no different from one another. In thought. In experience. In human instinct.
My tumblr will tell you more than I express in real life (duh). These words - I wish people can hear. These quotes - I deem true. These pictures - People/Concepts/Places I am or I adore.

This generation’s dating scene is absolutely ridiculous. It’s driven by ego, pride and being emotionless. It’s not simple as I’m attracted to you, you’re attracted to me, lets date. It’s far more complicated than that. There is too much choice and there is very little respect. Why have 1 girl when you can have all 20? We’re just a culture of instant gratification lovers and love to obsess over the need for validation from strangers. We’re extremely good at begin greedy because nothing fulfils us anymore - everything we want is at our convenience - the art of pursuing someone is officially dead. It’s like we’re fooled into thinking perfection is attainable when it’s simply not - no matter how unrealistic our expectations of a person are, we will always be hugely disappointed when our standards aren’t met. There will always be someone out there whose prettier or funnier but even they will never satisfy. ‘The grass always seems greener on the other side. But who the hell told you to look for greener grass?’

My goal isn’t to make people feel beautiful. It’s to make them realize that feeling beautiful doesn’t mean jack shit. Beauty fades. Beauty is not reliable. Beauty is subjective and fluctuating. You take up the space you want and say “I might not think I’m beautiful. Hell, I might be ugly to some people, but I still deserve to be here, to be loved, to do what I want.” I don’t think I’m beautiful at all, but I try not to stop that from getting in the way of living my life. That’s a much more powerful thought than “I’m beautiful too.” Don’t be afraid to be ugly and stop holding yourself to impossible standards in public. Ignore the male gaze. Ignore all gazes. Focus on yourself and what you’re trying to accomplish.
