Becca pointed out to me that in an early episode of Gravity Falls, The Legend of the Gobblewonker, Stan has a licence plate with “Stanley Mobile” on it. (“STNLYMBL”)

Which is rather strange, considering Stan’s full name is Stanford.

I’ve seen theories, or perhaps just headcanons, floating around that Stan is a twin. Stan must have (or must have had) a sibling who is Dipper and Mabel’s grandmother or grandfather. Twins often run in the family, and “Stanley” and “Stanford” sounds like a cute pair of names for twin boys.

I don’t know if those idea are substantiated or not. I don’t know if the family will ever be touched on or if they’re significant at all, but it seems like a pretty weird error to make for the animator to confuse “Stanley” with “Stanford”

was at a tattoo convention today and i saw a guy with a spider-man tattoo so i walked up and went ‘oh dude is that spider-man? badass! i love spider-man!’ and then looked down and realized i was wearing my shirt that says I LOVE SPIDER-MAN in big black letters. i’m a parody of myself

It was his 3rd appearance tho at the very least. Homecoming came out between infinity war and civil war, and homecoming DID feature more friendly neighborhood spiderman stuff, but I do appreciate that people wanted more of that.

No Way Home basically fully reset Peter’s kit. He’s only got a suit he’s sewn himself and his phone.

So hopefully more friendly neighborhood spiderman in the future

I think my main problem with MCU spiderman was that he got too big too quickly. Spider-Man is best when he's street-level. Bro should be catching bank robbers and stopping traffic accidents. But the MCU had him in space fighting Thanos by his second appearance? That's too much too fast. You gotta build up. You gotta have your Shocker, your Mysterio, your Rhino, your Goblin. You slowly build up the threats and Spider-Man's fame. But being an avenger means he's always dealing with world-ending threats. This is why he's maybe the least suited for movies, and the most suited for comics and tv shows.
