okay we're going through ep 1 now, and definitely found some stuff

the building is Royal Mint Court, which was designed by James Johnson and finished after his death by everyone's favourite architect, thats right, it's Robert Smirke! there's no way thats an accident

we tried emailing the accounts from the first talker (you never know) but they dont exist, so that door is closed

also, alice says that Chester, norris and augustus started talking about a year ago, which would have been 2021, around the time the events of TMA had finished- is this anything? the fact that there's not really a reason that the program should have text-to-speech adds to this? are jon and martin tied to the eye still and therefore cursed to read statements in a different universe? or more likely the web (the web, the internet?), since jon's connection to the eye was severed?

okay, so, we are on to something!

after last time, we decided to check the logo (we know your game, mr sims ) and cryo immediately spotted the funky symbols in the backround and got very excited

i saw them and went huh, zodiac signs

but we found that theyre alchemical symbols, and then we see that the rest of the logo doesnt match the UK civil service logo, and instead is just the squared circle, flipped upside down, the symbol for the philosopher's stone. also, the other symbols on the inside are for mercury- transcending death, sulphur- the soul, and salt- the body.

so we've got a running theme of immortality, again. who or what is trying to transcend death?

the red lion, which we originally assumed was just from the UK civil service logo, represents life force, and unicorn blood is just a thing in alchemy to do with eternal life.

also, not sure if we're overanalysing so far, but snakes are connected with mercury, like in episode 2, it mentions the snake tattoo looking spooky.

we were also checking the names, and 'Khalid' comes from arabic origins and means immortal, or everlasting, which essentially convinced us that the alchemical symbols arent just random!

so, this is a documentation of our thoughts and theories on the magnus protocol, so we started a blog especially for it
