i think things were done a little unfairly here. you guys posted the app an hour before it was meant to be posted, so people got to apply before. you said you were going to decline apps that were sent before the actual time, which is okay, but you didn't bother to delete the post that had the app or change the app link, so people who saw the link previously could just sit on the app page until the correct time and fill it out then just submit when it was. that seems very unfair to the people who had to wait for a post (only to see it was a reblog since you guys didn't delete it), so they missed out on the face they really wanted. i know there isn't anything you guys can do about it now, but this could have been handled better, admins.

we completely understand the concern, and we want to clarify again that the early post was an honest mistake caused by a timezone mismatch in tumblr's queue system - something we didn't anticipate, as our team is spread across different timezones.

as soon as we noticed, we set the form post to private and reached out to everyone who applied early, asking them to resubmit after the official time: 11PM KST / 10AM EST. we also issued an announcement to explain the mix-up, and continued to reiterate it in replies to any questions that followed.

we also updated the form to include a secondary faceclaim option, giving everyone a better chance to be accepted in case their first pick gets taken.

the post currently visible was reblogged exactly at the official time. and to keep everything fair, no early applications were accepted — only those submitted at or after the proper opening time were counted.

this was never about unfair advantage -just an honest scheduling hiccup we did our best to correct immediately.

we’re truly sorry if your first choice faceclaim was taken because of the mix-up — we know that can be disappointing. but the bar’s still open and full of flavor! 🍋 you’re more than welcome to check the updated masterlist and send in a new app with another muse — we’d love to have you with us.
