Farm History

Lemos Farm was built in 1942 but is more different today compared to when Frank Lemos first moved from San Francisco near half moon bay. Back in the ’40s, a gentleman owed Lemos money, but he gave him a cow instead. That cow had a calf, so Frank decided to buy a few more cows. This leads him to buy some land for the cows, and this is how Lemos Farm was born.

The painted house

OI' Paint is Lemos family's horse statue out front of Lemos Farm greeting all who travel the 92 with a welcoming gesture as they drive into Half Moon Bay. Lemo's originally started painting horses in three different themes -  Christmas, Halloween and  January to August, but over the last 15 years Ol’ Paint has changed its theme every month to reflect different seasons and holidays.

Over these years, Ol’ Paint has been painted more than 230 times to bring joy to all people who travel to Lemos Farm near half moon bay

Animals
