it’s just all so stupid bc the ppl that get mad when you “‘make everything about race” seem to not understand that it literally..is all about race, you are more likely to have asthma and allergies and breathing problems if u live close to large populations of black people bc during segregation and redlining less diverse sexed trees were planted in the areas made up of predominantly black and brown people, black people have higher rates of plant related allergies and higher rates death from asthma bc young male trees were planted in addition to poor conditions regarding pollution, redlined areas get worse treatment structurally, if u live in a city u are more likely to die from lung cancer bc of segregation, and ppl act like im just saying stuff and making shit up and it’s like no dude statistically that is the truth, it should bother u that u get the short end of the stick simply bc some government official didn’t want black ppl to have “good” stuff

And it makes sense that from what I'm hearing is that Palestinians, especially those in Gaza, are frustrated by the wishy washiness of the icj's interim ruling and rightfully so when the main request to suspend all military operations against Gaza was never implemented. Not the first time Palestinians have to watch people in power twist themselves into pretzels over whether Palestinians are worthy of life or not. I get there are other measures and this is not a complete loss, but it can't be a win either.

i know palestine will be free in my lifetime. i know palestine will be free in my lifetime. i know i will see the day palestine is free and i will see her shake the dust of occupation from her heels. i know the old people and children of her history will return to their ancestral homes, their houses, their valleys, their olive groves, not to to set their roots down again because their roots have always been there, will always be there, but to grow again, bear fruit for harvest, and never be cut down again. i know palestine will be free. i grieve for palestine and dream of palestinian joy.

The disabled community fucking NEEDS to rally for Palestine. Israel is creating millions more of us. They are permanently disabling people, robbing them of their ability, their agency, and giving no support. Disabled Palestinians are dying not just from violence but from neglect due to lack of resources, which is violence itself. We have to support these people, people who haven't even been able to come to terms with the fact that their limbs are missing, they're severely traumatized, they can't move without pain, they've been so focused on just surviving. There cannot be a single Palestinian left without physical and/or mental trauma. And there are absolutely no resources being given to them, they're being actively withheld.

Please give anything you can offer. Money, coping mechanisms, resources, information, emotional support, e-sims, you could probably even donate any disability aids you don't use anymore to refugees in your home country. I know a lot of us are unable to protest right now. Sharing information is also extremely important. There ARE things we can do. Protesting is only one aspect of activism. Sending emails, making phone calls, directly supporting Palestinians in one of the ways I said above.

Just like covid is a mass disabling event, a genocide is a mass disabling event. Please do not forget this and remember, you CAN make a difference.

(BTW this is not one of those "you should care about them because they're like us!" things, everyone should care about Palestinians because they're human beings. The point of this post is to discuss what we as disabled people can do to support people who are suddenly disabled without help. Becoming disabled is not easy even with support and healthcare.)

Once again recommending donations to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund. Not only is it a credible organization, you can donate any amount, so even if you don’t have much money, you can still contribute what you can towards humanitarian aid in Gaza. It takes donations via credit, PayPal, and mailed checks.

saw a poll on here where one of the categories was “I have over 300 hours in a single video game” and people were picking it and saying “I have way more than 300 hours!!” but they were all talking about games like ffxiv or overwatch where there’s a prolonged play element. that’s just not impressive to me. you’re SUPPOSED to have 300 hours in those games. what game do you have over 300 hours in that you absolutely should not be able to have 300 hours in? mine is the ace attorney trilogy
