It's seems my trust in your behavior was painfully misplaced. Do you always throw temper tantrums unprompted?

Before anything else, I'd like to inform you that finger sandwiches are not meant to be eaten with utensils of any sort. It is a finger food. Was the name not indicator enough for you, Pencil? Perhaps your training wasn't as extensive as you'd like everyone to believe it was.

(I'll forgive you for having the bone density of a romantic poet when you become one. At the moment, you appear to be a stuttering fool on the edge of a nervous breakdown. And I doubt that I would ever be needing your help with anything as you can hardly function on your own.)

I do take back my compliments of you being sweet. It seems as though you need to work on a few things, one of those being your temper, and perhaps maturing a bit before being truly considered an adult. I'm glad that you'll have plenty of time to figure it all out.

And Pigeon, if you're really going to wish ill on my belongings, at least admit to it. If you feel the need to be callous, don't be a coward as well. It's shameful.

I do hope you find the platform to your liking. It is, after all, a fine space for dialogue—polite dialogue, ideally. Respectful conversation. One hopes.

That said, I am of course delighted (as any gracious gentleman would be) to extend a civil welcome to you. Because some of us were taught to shake hands upon introduction, not merely smirk like a back-alley card player and call their fellow guest “kid.”

(For your information: I am seventeen. And three-quarters.)

You’ll be pleased to know that my wrist has healed beautifully since your last arrival. Remarkable, isn’t it, how the body recovers from a fall down the stairs when startled by an unexpected voice in the parlour?

It is lovely to hear that you've healed from your injury. Perhaps you should work on your habit of falling down stairs when one attempts to speak with you. It could get rather embarrassing as you seem to be quite fragile. And I'd hate for you to break anything else.

You're really so kind as to warn me, Pike! You can be almost helpful and I'm glad that you have that in you. Although, I suppose that perhaps you should avoid the west wing staircase as well, we wouldn't want another incident to happen now, would we? Your wrist has only now been mended.
