Uma equipe de arqueologia da Bahia encontrou um vasilhame cerâmico que pode ser a urna de uma sepultura tupi-guarani pré-colonial, correspondente ao período de 1500 a 1530 no Brasil.
O artefato foi descoberto durante escavações na avenida Sete de Setembro, em Salvador. O material foi encontrado próximo ao relógio de São Pedro pela equipe de arqueologia que trabalha na requalificação da via e também da Praça Castro Alves.
A descoberta, um vasilhame com tampa de cerâmica, continha em seu interior um corpo sepultado. Há indícios de que os restos mortais sejam de um homem, provavelmente um índio tupi-guarani, que pode ter vivido em Salvador entre os séculos XIV e XVI.
