The word dad had a double emotional feeling attached to it for Leo. On one hand, it filled him with excitment and joy, on the other, it was the most terrifying word out there. Right now, Leo however could only associate it with good. Him and the love of his life were going to become dads and Leo couldnt even think about anything bad at the moment. It was all rainbows, butterflies and roses. Nice smelling roses. Their dream was coming true. Or were they getting ahead of them selfes? who knew? what was for sure was that right now in the moment, no one cared either. Leo looked at his husband, both teary eyed and he just smiled the widest smile at Isaiah.
" Four more days" he repeated. Leo was unable to be still, constantly shifting where he was sitting " but baby.... how... how is it going to work, do we like have to go somethere to like and office to... you know... in a cup?" he asked all flustered not sure which words to use about it. He hadnt really thought about that part.
Being in Isaiahs arms was Leos favorite place to be. thats where he felt safe, comfortable and oh so loved. He never got enough of being in Isaiahs arms. his warm embrace, leo could feel himself melting. " Tonight baby? we dont even have coveres aaand may i add.... its gonna be a while till the baby even starts crawling after its born, we have like months to take care of that" Leo pointed out giggling, but deep down he was melting at how adorable and protective his husband was. " ooo yes paint samples are fuuun" Leo agreed then thought for a bit " a theme? hm.... oo how about like a forest with those cute baby animals, you know the once with the big eyes, the like innocent looking baby animals" he said, all wheels in his heads turning fast " OOOOO and we can do the walls green, thats like a gender neutral color cause we dont know the sex and we can paint the celing like blue with couds" He suggested with excitement " yeah Sky and Violet, they need to know but i dont think we should tell anyone else yet, cuz i mean... we have no idea how long this will all take from right now and i really dont want to jinx anything" he said realistically. Ideally they would have a baby in 9 months but they knew the risks, sometimes it didnt take the fist times, sometimes it was time consuming and exspensive as hell. " oh my god yes, Aid is gonna be the most excited i bet, and so happy, i can already imagine him fist pumping" Leo said giggling
Isaiah could barely keep it together. The moment he said the words—they were going to be dads—he watched Leo crumble in the most beautiful way. Tears filled his husband’s eyes, and Isaiah’s own vision blurred instantly. This was it. This was the moment he'd dreamt of for so long—not just being a father, but becoming one with Leo. And now, sitting there, witnessing the love of his life light up with disbelief and overwhelming joy, Isaiah felt like his heart had never beat louder or fuller. Leo's words hit Isaiah like a warm wave. He smiled, eyes wet, his chest shaking with a soft, joyful laugh. Seeing Leo shift from confusion and fear to radiant, glowing happiness made Isaiah feel like he could finally breathe again. He had wanted this so deeply, so completely. And now it was real. It was happening.
Leo’s excitement was contagious. He listened as his husband did the math out loud and Isaiah let out a soft laugh, one hand still cupping Leo’s face, the other resting over his heart like he was trying to hold in the emotion threatening to pour out. “Yeah,” Isaiah finally whispered, his voice thick with tears, “just four more days, baby. Our whole world is going to change for the better."
Isaiah held Leo close, heart full, eyes still glassy with emotion, and he just listened—really listened—as Leo started rattling off his excitement. Isaiah couldn’t stop grinning as he nodded along with every word, his arms still wrapped around Leo’s waist. “Yes, yes, all of it,” he said, his voice thick with joy. “We’re gonna babyproof everything. Like, everything—I’m putting those outlet covers on tonight just to feel useful.” He laughed, wiping another stray tear off his cheek with the heel of his hand. “And we’re picking out paint samples. Oh my God, what color should the nursery be? Wait—do we go with a theme?” He leaned back just enough to look at Leo’s glowing face, completely swept up in the shared vision of their future. “And we have to tell Violet ,” Isaiah added, suddenly lighting up even more. “She's going to be so excited. Can you imagine Ayiden's reaction already too? He's gonna do a little fist pump in the air - I bet"

Leo felt really uncomfortable not being able to read his husband. Leo wasnt the best people reader, but Isaiah, Leo had learned to read him pretty well, at least to the extent of hints of what was going on with him. He wasn't as good as isaah was at reading Lee but Leo did want to believe he could read his husband. Now, however, he couldnt and it had to be because Isaiah was trying to figure out how to be strong for Leo while he was broken himself, right? This wasn't a match, it couldnt be, or else he would be jumping with joy, right? Leo´s mind was working overtime trying to figure this out. He just could not put it together. Leo was lost and it was uncomfortable, he was becoming more scared and sad with every second.
Until Isaiah confirmed what Leo had doubted would happen today. Seeing his husbands' teary eyes brought tears to his own as he processed what his husband was saying. They were going to be dads? They had a surrogate? They really had a surrogate, they were going to become dads. " we are going to have a baby my love" he told Isaiah, He could barely believe it, but Isaiah didnt lie and he said so. " We are starting our own little family, zaya" Leo could not contain his happyness right now. As he was overcoming the doubt and hesitation, he was realizing this was happening, this really was happening and he was so happy. He listened carefullly as his husband read and told him what was next and that is could all start, the ball could start rolling as soon as next week " wow, baby can you believe it, next week... its thursday.... thats like 3 to 4ish days baby, any time after like 4 days" he said trying to grasp how soon they could really start the process. Leo looked isaiah in the eyes again with the biggest, most genuine smile " baby, our family is really starting" he repeated with a giggle. he was so happy he couldnt contain it. he felt his husbands gentle touch on his chin. It was something so welcme to Leo, it was a touch that grounded him, comforted him, made him feel oh so loved, but this time it felt as there was even more behind it. Leo felt Isaiahs lips on his and kissed back , softly and deeply. Leos head followed as Isaiah pulled back, he didnt like that isaiah stopped the kiss, but as soon as isaiah started kissing him all over, Leo couldnt help but to break out in giggles and laughter. The joy was unbelievable. Seeing the glow from Isaiah brough Loe even more joy, he wasnt sure how to handle it, he looked at the love of his life with the widest smile and tears falling down his face " I love you to baby, so so much, more than life itself" he told him, his eyes not leaving Isiaahs face.
" We need to celebrate" he then told Isaiah, " oooh and i need to tell Sky, and we need to how, we need to make the nursery and babyproof and.." le was speaking fast with so much joy and excitment
Isaiah had read a lot of emails in his life—contracts, offers, rejections, schedules—but none like this. As he sat there, eyes scanning every word with focused precision, his husband’s gaze weighed on him. Isaiah could feel Leo watching him, analyzing every twitch of his face, every breath. And for once, Isaiah didn’t offer the usual calm, collected response right away. His face was unreadable—not because he was hiding anything, but because he was overwhelmed. Inside, Isaiah’s heart was racing. He had read the words three times already just to be sure. Confirmed. Match found. Moving forward. Words that carried the weight of a thousand prayers. His eyes welled up, not from sadness but from the uncontainable mix of joy and disbelief.
“We have a surrogate. We’re going to be dads,” Isaiah repeated, almost in awe of his own words. “Me and you.” His thumb brushed across Leo’s knuckles, and he let out a soft, disbelieving laugh. “This is really happening.” When Leo looked up at him through his tears and called it the biggest honor of his life, Isaiah felt his heart tighten in the best way. “It’s ours, baby,” he said softly. “It doesn’t matter how—we made this happen together.” At Leo’s final question, Isaiah turned his eyes back to the screen, glancing over the details once more. “Yeah,” he said, voice steadier now. “The next step is a video call with the agency and the surrogate. It says it could be as soon as next week. Then contracts, screenings… everything starts moving quickly from here.” His eyes returned to Leo’s. “We’re really doing this. Our family is finally starting.”
Isaiah couldn’t stop smiling now, the kind of smile that aches in the best way. The tears in Leo’s eyes mirrored his own, and he felt the sheer force of everything they’d hoped for, everything they’d worked toward, rushing to the surface. Overcome, Isaiah gently brought his hands up to Leo’s face, cupping his cheeks with such care, as though holding something fragile and infinitely precious. Then, without hesitation, Isaiah leaned in and pressed his lips to Leo’s—slow, deep, and filled with every ounce of love in his body. He pulled back only to kiss him again, this time on the cheek, and then again just beside it. And again. And again. He kissed over Leo’s cheeks, his nose, his temples, his forehead, everywhere he could reach, giddy and overwhelmed and in awe of the moment. His breath caught on a laugh as he buried his face against Leo’s neck for a second before pulling back to look at him, his eyes glowing. “Ahh, I love you so fucking much."

Leo watched his husband carefully as he read the email. For some reason, Leo couldnt read him now, he wasnt sure if it was good or bad news from the look on Isaiahs face. It felt like an hour of reading tho Isaiah was a quick reader, a man of many talents, one of being good at sorting through what's not important in long texts. Something Leo was bad at, he read everything from a-z and he was kind of a slow reader as well.
He was shaking and holding his breath as his husband read the mail.. A tear? Leo noticed a tear and immediately connected that to bad news, but the longer he looked at the tears welling up in his husbands eyes...the more uncertain he got. Isaiah didnt look sad, his eyes didnt give him that feeling. Leo felt his husband's forehead touch his and leo bit his own lip. What did that letter really say? Then he heard his husband speak and he couldnt believe his ears " w-what?" he asked, had his husband said it was successful? that they had a surrogate? or were his ears fooling him?
Leo felt Isaiahs hold on to his hands, lacing their fingers and Leo couldnt help but smile, now sure that he had heard right as his husband spoke again. Leo noticed how isaiahs expression changed and how his whole body language changed, he wasnt as collected as usual, he was more raw, his emotions on his sleeve. He seemed happy and relieved and like he was on cloud nine, Leo felt the same way. This had to be the best day of their lives so far after their wedding day. Leo couldnt help but let the tears fall. This had been their dream and now they could move to the next step towards this dream of theirs. Soon, if things worked out, they would have a tiny little human, their little baby. Whose it was didnt matter to him, he just wanted a family with his husband. " wow" he replied, " i cant believe it" he then added, a hint of laughter and a lot of joy hidden in his voice. " yeah, its really happening and its happening fast. We are going to be dads Isaiah, me and you, we are going to be dads for real," he said as his voice broke and tears fell. It was hard to believe this was really happening. " i so agree baby, it will be the biggest honor of my life to raise your kid" he said looking him in the eyes trough the tears " does it say whats next? or when it will happen or anything?" Leo wondered, his forehead still against his husbands, eyes locked on Isaiahs.
Isaiah scanned the email with practiced efficiency, eyes flickering over paragraph after paragraph of formalities and well-structured pleasantries—three long blocks of polished nothing. Then the words that mattered struck him like lightning: Successful. His breath hitched. His heartbeat stumbled and then surged with a rhythm unfamiliar to him, heavy and urgent. They had been matched. A surrogate had agreed to carry their child. Their child. He couldn’t stop the tears from gathering in his eyes, couldn’t hide the tremble in his chest as he looked at his husband, Leo. The man he had chosen again and again, now staring back at him with hope mirrored in his gaze. His forehead gently pressed to Leo’s. One tear traced a slow, glistening path down his cheek as he whispered, voice unsteady but certain, “We’ve been successful. We have a surrogate we’ve been matched with.”
His fingers found Leo’s, trembling, lacing together like they’d done a thousand times before, but never like this. This was different. These were not the hands of men just in love—they were the hands of fathers-to-be. Happy tears blurred Isaiah’s vision as his mask slipped entirely. The cool, composed exterior he always wore gave way to the raw, radiant truth of a dream blooming into life. “Fuck,” he said on an exhale, laughter and tears tangled in his voice, “we’re gonna be dads for real, huh? It all got so real so fast.” He gripped Leo’s hand tighter, grounding himself in the moment. “I couldn’t think of a greater honor in my life than to raise your children.”

Leo watched as his husband slowly as he, for what felt like hours, woke up and gathered what was going on. Leo didnt have too many words at the moment, he was kind of frozen with fear and hope and joy and so many other emotions. Listening to his husbands rough morning voice was something Leo loved tho, he found is so hot.
The fear was not hiding in Leos eyes, it was clear as day. Leo was terrified. As soon as Isaiahs eyes caught his, leo didnt look away. Leo found so much comfort in looking in his husband eyes. " i havnt looked" leo confirmes. Voice shakey, eyes locked on Isaiahs. Leo followed his husbands lead and sat by him eyes still not leaving isaiahs face. Leo was relieved once he felt his husband take his phone and he rested his hand on top of isaiahs who had his on his leg. It felt comforting, in a way told him that no matter what was in the email, they would be okay. " together, always," leo confirmed and took a deep breath " what does it say?" He asked, assuming his husband had opened it, leos eyes still locked on his face.
As Leo waited for his husband to sart reading their mail, He held his breath, it wasnt on purpose; he didnt even notise he did. Leo was beyond nervous. He looked at his husband looking at his phone, leo looked at the phone for a split second before looking back at Isaiah, more of a ' arnt you going to open it and read it' kind of gesture. Leo didnt know what to do if they didnt have a matc. Leo was always doubting, thinking he wasnt good enough, he didnt want to be ahinder for isaiah to have kids. He needed this to work out, so badly.
Isaiah stirred slowly at first, the world dragging him back from the thick fog of sleep. He felt the familiar weight of Leo curling up against him, the tremble in his husband’s body something he couldn’t ignore even in half-consciousness. The urgency in Leo’s voice pulled him faster into awareness. “Mmm—baby?” Isaiah blinked his eyes open, voice rough with sleep. He instantly turned towards him. The bedside clock glowed faintly—just past eight. Too early for this tone. Leo’s whisper wasn’t just a nudge; it was full of nerves, panic coiled beneath each syllable. “What’s wrong?”
His eyes adjusted, and now he could see it—Leo’s expression, barely holding together, his lip caught between his teeth, eyes wide and glassy. Isaiah’s heart beat once, hard. He sat up halfway, hand moving to cradle the back of Leo’s neck, thumb brushing gently just below the hairline. “Is everything alright? Are you okay?"
His gaze shifted down to Leo's phone. That’s when Isaiah saw the subject line on the email. His heart gave a small jolt. “Oh…” Isaiah exhaled, slowly, eyes flicking to Leo’s. He didn’t need to ask why Leo hadn’t opened it. He felt the same weight pressing in now. “You haven’t looked yet.” Isaiah sat up fully now, back against the headboard, gently coaxing Leo up beside him. He took the phone carefully, not rushing. His other hand stayed firmly on Leo’s leg, grounding him. “Okay,” he said, voice soft but firm. “We’re doing it together. Just like we said.” With that, he opened the email. The moment of truth. Time to find out if they had a match or not.

Baby time? - Isaiah and Leo
Leo had been a big ball of nerves since their last appointment with their fertility doctor. They had narrowd it down to 3 possible women to hopefully carry their child if everything went according to plan. Leo prayed that one of them. Their doctor had reached out to the women and now they just needed to hear from their doctor and see if they were a match, if they were willing to do this still. Leo had not slept much lately, at all. Waiting for the email from their doctor was killing him.
Lately Leo had not taken many shifts at the fire department; he was still desk-bound and he hated it so much. However, he had not been cleared for duty and it was making Leo slowly lose interest in showing up at all. This morning Leo had called in sick after another sleepless night. At 6 am he had gone out for a run, at 7 am he had decided it was time to turn around and head back home. right before 8, leo stood outside his and Isaiahs house planning on sneaking in and back to bed to cuddle his husband while he slept, his husband who had come in late last night after a long shift and passed out by Leos side.
Leo opened the door too their house as he looked at his e-mail. There it was, an email from their doctor, cc-ed to Isaiah. Leo could feel his heart skip a beat. he didn't dare open it, he was too scared and worried and he needed to open it with Isaiah too, they were in this together. Leo slowly made his way to their bedroom and crawled up in bed cuddling up to Isaiah " Baby, baby wake up, you need to wake up right now" he whispered, trying to stay calm but he was shaking bed, so was his voice. " Isaiah" he bit his lip

" that is true, this do be a reunion of a sort" leo agreed as he prepared himself a cup as well. He wasn't as smiley today as he usually was. It weighed heavily on him how he had not reached out to his best friend after everything went down. He knew she didn't mind, she understood, but Leo was still frustrated with himself; he knew Skylar only made him feel better. Sometimes Leo felt as he was only out to sabotage for himself. That he didn't feel like he deserved to be happy. He was working on eliminating that state of mind, but it was hard. Her giggle earned a small smile from Leo. " I know you don't think I'm a bad person, and I didn't mean to shut you out, I´m not happy that I did tho, I don't understand wy I did it. It just, it sucks. " he said with frustration at himself. " yeah that's right, we are finally together again. " he took a deep breath and a small sip of his hot chocolate. He looked at their hands for a second then squeezed back " thank you. I need the push" he admitted. Leo just smirked as Skylar seemed to not be biting on what he was putting down there, but as she picked it up, Leo couldn't help but laugh. " yeah, in bed" he chuckled lightly, tho there was a hint of pain on his face as well. He did struggle with being intimate after everything went down and it brought back all the horrible nightmares of his past. Him and Isaiah sure wee working through it, but it took way to much time if you asked Leo. Leo only got frustrated and mad at himself thinking about it. A lot of things about himself frustrated him lately. " don't you ever use cuffs in bed?2 he asked, trying to just keep it light and fun. " do you have those with the pink fluff maybe?" he chuckled
at his words, skylar couldn’t help smiling at her best friend. "maybe we are going all out, what else can we do? this is a reunion, we deserve to have a nice hot chocolate," she smiled, a giggle falling from her lips. at his words, a soft smile tugged the corners of her lips. "it’s not your fault, sometimes we shut people out without even meaning to," she said softly, "i don’t think you’re a bad person for that, leo," she assured, "sometimes we do it without thinking about it," she promised, a soft smile on her lips. "i mean it’s not a science so we don’t really know, what we know is that we are now together," she smiled, her hand reaching to squeeze his. "okay, i’ll bother you next time." the thought of being walked out of somewhere in cuffs made the blonde shake her head, that wasn’t going to happen. she would be so ashamed. at his last words, the girl’s eyes opened wide. "oh my god, leo?" she chuckled, "he might put you in handcuffs? why would he…" then the girl felt her cheeks burning, "oh, you mean in bed?"

" whipped cream AND marshmallows? we are going all out today I hear" he said with a soft giggle. Leo was realizing how much he really had missed his friend and he promised himself he would never close her out like this ever again. It wasn't good for anyone. Leo looked at their hands as she took his then he looked up at her. " I know you will always be here for me, that's the thing. Why do I close you out when you are here to help me no matter what? do you get me?" he asked, wondering if he made sense " I mean... if I had just let you, maybe I would have gotten out of this deep valley much sooner," he then stated and bit his lip. But what really mattered was that things were getting better. " yeah, things will only get better from here, but please do me a favor... if I don't call or reach out for some time, can you give me a push? I need you. i just don't realize it in the moment, if that makes sense. " he stated.
As she made sure to tell him is husband hadn't come to see her for anything more serious than a hot chocolate, the boy smiled " okay good, yeah you in handcuffs... that would be the end of the world" he said chuckling as he handed her the cup " I do think I made a crime tho.... so he might have to put me in handcuffs" he joked
the blonde smiled at leo’s suggestion. “i feel like i want some whipped cream with it,” she said confidently, her grin growing. “oh, and marshmallows too,” she added, practically beaming. she had really missed her best friend. “leo,” skylar started, reaching for his hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. “you don’t have to say sorry. i know it’s hard—well, i can imagine. but you don’t have to worry, i’ll be here no matter what.” her voice was soft but certain, letting him know she wasn’t going anywhere. “you don’t have to call if you’re not ready, but just know i’ll always be on the other side of the line.” skylar promised. “i’m glad you see that,” she added, squeezing his hand again. “that’s the first step, and it only gets better from here.” at his concern, she laughed. “oh, he only came to grab a hot chocolate with one of his co-workers. i don’t get into trouble, so you don’t have to worry about me. i wasn’t dragged out of my café in handcuffs or anything,” she teased, winking at him.

Leos feelings often confused him, Leo didnt get why he felt the way he did a lot of the time. Sure he knew the root cause, so did Isaiah. However, Leo didn't get why he couldn't just be over and done with that all now that his father was behind bars. Why was everything so scary and hard still? Leo had Isaiah, his husband, who would move mountains for him if he only asked for it, yet Leo was sitting here second-guessing and scared of life. Leo didn't want to be, he just wanted to live a happy life with his husband and hopefully kids soon too.
Tears were starting to fall and then he heard his husbands words. Isaiah was always so calm, so cool and collected. He had this soothing effect on Leo without even trying. Just the way Isaiah said his name brought him comfort and he wiped his eyes " Im not alone, we are in this together" Leo repeated after him, the faintest of smiles appearing back on his face.
Leo looked his husband in the eyes as he spoke, it was true, raising a kid, or kids was a two-person thing, at least in their case. It was something Leo longed for, to have a family with Isaiah, and even tho he knew Isaiah would always be there, to share everything, the good, the bad, the hard thing, It was good to hear it and be reassured. " yeah, we can do it together. "Feeling his hands on his face felt good, it grounded him. Isiahs words earned him a giggle " you do have blue lights, I remember," he said and bit his lip. Thinking about it, about Isaiahs words, Leo was at ease, realizing again what he deep down knew. This was what they wanted, this was what they longed for and together it would be alright. They could do it together.
Feeling Isaiah's forehead against his and listening to his words got Leo smiling big " in this together, forever and always" he bit his lip and looked his husband in the eyes with so much love.
Leos mind was at all the escapes they had done at the fire station, all the fun and all the romance they had shared there. Leo wasn't as much for doing anything at the police station, but they sure had. " we don't do that at work, no baby, never" he said with a smirk on his face as he bit his bottom lip softly.
" yeah you better remember" Leo told his husband, humor and a hint of laughter in his voice. Leo fund his husbands whispers so hot and the glimpse in his eyes, he really was driving Leo insane. " yeah no, please don't, the fire station has so many good spots, and I still haven't shown you all, I found a new one I think you will love" he said with the smallest smirk. Leo really loved how no matter what, Isaiah always showed him warmth and affection, no matter what they were talking about or doing. It was a constant reminder that Leo needed and cherished.
With Isaiah, Leo felt safe, he felt loved, he felt like nothing in the world mattered except them two, what they had and what they made out of their lives. Leo knew that no matter what would happen in life, Isaiah would always be there, to catch him if he fell, to laugh with him, to grow together. Thats what life was all about in leos eyes. He also knew that when Leo started putting up walls, pushing his love away thinking he was protecting Isaiah when he was only isolating himself, Isaiah wouldnt let him, he would bring those walls strait down and pull him into a warm hug or kiss reminding Leo that they were in this thing called life, together.
Leo kissed back as he felt his husbands lips, however as isaiah pulled away the slightest, Leo lifted his head a little as to follow and continue the kiss. Once Isaiah whispered tho, leo maintained the slightest space between them to hear his words " ours" Leo then repeated, like a promise right back to Isaiah. Leo knew he could trust and believe his husbands words, they were true, it was a fact.
Leo took a deep breath of satisfaction as he felt Isaiah working on making Leo comfortable on the couch. Leo couldnt help but smile as he adjusted himself in the process. If there was one thing Leo could always count on, it was Isaiah always making sure Leo felt comfortable and safe with him, no matter what, and Leo loved that about Isaiah. Leo looked his husband up and down as he hovered over him, then his eyes met Isaiahs and he could not help the smile. The look on his husbands face was priceless, the love coated with playfulness, he always felt like a teenager in his husbands presence and he loved it.
" all ours"he repeated as if he was high, high on love. Leos hands moved round Isaiahs back as he listened to his husbands words and all they carried. Leo didnt take his eyes off of his husband for a second. Everything he said, the way he spoke, his movements and what they carried, it all told Leo so much more than words could say. The love Leo felt through his actions, through the tone of his words, through his look, it was everything to Leo.
The man let out a long satisfied breath as he felt Isaiahs warm, familiar hands squeeze his ass in to position. Leo knew what this indicted, he knew what came next and his body did too, feeling his husbands hands on his ass always made Leo so comfortable, so relaxed which also made Isaiahs next mission way more easy. Every single muscle was ready for what was to come, relaxed to let him in. " baby its all yours, please take it, please dont make me wait any longer" leo begged of his husband " you always take so good care, the best. I want you babe, oh how my ass wants you." he whispered, Leos hands finding their way down Isaiahs back and too his ass, as he squeezed it he softly pushed, hinting to his husband that he could not wait a second longer. He was relaxed and more than ready to receive, tho at the same time, he was so hard. The urge he had for his husband, it amazed Leo how their sex life still was so active after all this time together, that the spark, the excitement, the need, it didnt fade like a lot of people said it would. Leo had never felt that between him and his husband, it felt as if they were in an endless honeymoon state according to the stories he had heard.
Isaiah listened to Leo’s words, understanding the weight they carried. He always knew Leo's emotional struggles, even when Leo couldn’t put them into words. He saw past the walls, past the frustration, to the heart of the matter. He felt every uncertainty, every worry, and in the quiet spaces between Leo's thoughts, Isaiah was always there—ready to listen, ready to support, even when Leo couldn’t find the words. Isaiah was patient, and he recognized the deep care Leo had for him, even in moments of self-doubt. He didn't need Leo to say everything perfectly to understand; his partner’s body language spoke volumes. And Isaiah was a keen reader of those unspoken words.
When Leo expressed his fears—his worries about being there for their future child, about not being able to handle the weight of responsibility—Isaiah's heart ached. He didn’t see Leo as broken, never would. To him, Leo was strong, despite how Leo might see himself. Isaiah admired him endlessly, loved him for his vulnerabilities, and was committed to lifting him up, always. "Leo," Isaiah said softly, his voice steady yet filled with tenderness, "you're not alone in this. I'm right here. Whatever comes, we face it together. You’re not broken, not in my eyes. You’re my strength, my heart."
Isaiah looked at Leo with deep understanding, his voice calm but firm as he spoke. "Raising a kid is a two-person thing, Leo," he said, his hand gently cupping Leo's face. "If any issues arise, we handle them together. You don’t have to carry that weight alone. If you have a panic attack, I’m one call away, and I’ll come racing. Don’t forget, I’ve got blue lights too, baby. I’ll always be there, no matter what."
He leaned in, his forehead resting against Leo's as he spoke again, softer this time. "We’re in this together, every step of the way."
Isaiah raised an eyebrow at Leo, a playful smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He leaned back slightly, eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh? Is that so?" he teased, his voice light and knowing. "We don’t do that at work, huh?" He let the words hang in the air for a moment, letting Leo's hesitation settle between them.
Isaiah knew exactly what Leo was getting at, the playful contradiction in his husband's words. He couldn't help but find it endearing how Leo tried to act all serious about the “no work rule,” when they both knew damn well how many times they’d found their own little escapes.
"Guess I’ll just have to remember that for next time," Isaiah continued, his tone low, but the humor still in his eyes. He leaned in a little closer, his voice dropping to a whisper, "but I won't. The fire station has good facilities to to get to know your husband better." The playful spark in his eyes was unmistakable, but there was also that warmth, that quiet affection. No matter the teasing, he always made sure Leo knew how much he cherished those moments with him.
And when the intensity shifted from fear to desire, Isaiah felt that pull just as strongly. He knew how much Leo needed him in those moments—how much they needed each other. When Leo asked for him, when his partner longed for his touch, Isaiah was always ready to answer. With a smile, with a kiss, with all of himself.
Isaiah understood that their love was their refuge, their safe space. And as they moved together, both physically and emotionally, Isaiah reaffirmed everything he’d always known about Leo—that despite the doubts, despite the struggles, he was loved, he was valued, and together, they could conquer anything.
The love they shared was deep, beyond words, beyond moments of uncertainty. It was always clear in the way they held each other, in the way they cared. And no matter how much Leo tried to doubt, Isaiah would always be there to remind him that he was everything Isaiah needed, too. Nothing would ever change that.
Isaiah looked down at Leo with a warm, teasing smile, his eyes glinting with affection. He leaned in slowly, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to his husband's lips before pulling back just enough to whisper, "Our moment. Our life. Our forever."
The words held a tenderness, a promise that felt as real as the connection between them. He gently laid Leo back against the couch, making sure he was comfortable, his hands soft but confident as he adjusted the cushions around him. Isaiah hovered over him just for a moment, his presence filling the space between them as his eyes held Leo’s with a playful, loving gaze.
"This moment right here, this is ours," Isaiah murmured, his voice calm and steady, yet with a light undertone that said so much more. He smiled down at Leo, the warmth in his eyes unwavering, his affection clear. He reached underneath his husband to squeeze his ass and get him into the right position - all ready for him. "This ass, however, it's all mine and I'm gonna take such good care of it."

" Memorable? what on earth is that supposed to mean?" he asked jokingly even tho he was half serious, he wasn't sure he knew what his friend actually meant by it. not that it would make him live him any less. " oh you can picture that huh?" he said with a smirk, watching his friend closely and just chuckling. " he's mine tho, hands off. you cant do anything more than imagine... tho I do prefer you don't actually" he then added, laughing at this point. It was funny to him, that Jessie was picturing it, but could he blame him? no.
" yeah, i think most of us know that feeling" Leo agreed, they had both been injured on the job and had to recover and sit out. It was never fun. " I know right? i´m way more useful on the ground with you, plus its way more fun. " he stated. He wanted to be back with his team, to save lives, to help everyone out. He felt like it had been forever since he was at work last, and it had been quite some time. He also knew that the doctor and his bosses were tight not to let him go back into it fully yet, he was still struggling mentally, seeing his father's face every now and then and his body wasn't back to 100%. Leo did not want to put anyone in danger.
" awesome," he said with a smile " but is Isaiah cals you cuz he doesn't believe me, we are at your place watching something over a beer okay? He worries too much" leo stated. " but no I don't really have any ideas, i´m up for literally anything that's outside my apartment," he told Jesse. He loved his house and he loved his man but he had a real itch to do something with his friend
" thanks, im glad to be back on my feet and back here, you don't even know" Leo chuckled. It was really nice to be back even tho he wasn't back to normal work. At least he was around his second family again, he had missed them all so much, especially Jesse. " wait.... are you saying I'm loud?" he asked jokingly. Leo knew very well that everyone usually knew where he was at the station, in this group of people Leo was constantly joking and having fun. " yeah, that was the only good thing about being stuck recovering, Isaiah really did spoil me. My favorite thing was him cooking dinner and dancing around shirtless, bro, that's some next-level shit" he said with a chuckle at the thought of it, he could picture it so easily. " yeah its no joke but hey i´m not stuck at home anymore. Speaking off, wanna go out and do something after work?" he wondered.
" yeah i know you always got my back just like I always got yours" Leo smiled with pride, it was nice having friends like that. It was precious and Leo really appreciated it. " thanks man, its so good to be back. They want me at the desk, but I'm thinking ill stay with you guys and when you get a call ill just clean or something, I do not wanna sit at the desk" he stated.

" yeah Violet needs to make this official so I can meet the two of ten, the girl sounds so adorable and he sounds like a good fit but I can't tell without knowing him, well actually I can cuz you approve and you read people like children books, you know the one where each page is like so think you and hard, like almost from a cardboard... you know what I mean?" he said trying to explain but had no idea what they were called " the once that have like huge letters and very few words" he then stated trying to explain how good he felt Isaiah was at reading people. " but oh my god, can you imagining Aid a big brother? that's just the cutest thing ever. i want that for him, I think he would be a really good big brother" Leo then added
" no, it really does give me super powers, once its off my mind cant focus on whats important, but those things are clear as a day when I'm out on a call. Once I leave the fire station I feel like... like...." Leo wasn't sure how to explain it. e didn't wanna say broken, or that he was a pace of shit, but he often felt like that. He often felt like a bad husband because of all the setbacks and extra trouble he put on Isaiah, and at times, feeling like such a failure of a husband really pulled him down. He didn't know how to express it, he knew Isaiah didn't see it like that, and those were the days Leo put up his walls an hid in bed all day, lying that he had a terrible headache or that he just didn't feel good. That kind of was true, he felt terrible emotionally. He had voiced this once at therapy, but he had decided never to do that again, it just made him feel even worse about it. The therapist had only kept saying his emotions were valid and that he just needed to find a way to talk to Isaiah about it. That only frustrated him even more with himself. " that's just temporary and then they go home and.... " leo was starting to breathe a bit unevenly, trying not to lose his cool but the water was fighting his eyes "What if I just.... what if our kid needs us and I just freeze? that if he needs us and I can't get out of the bed in the morning? what if I'm out with our kid, and randomly have a panic attack? what if.... what if" leo felt his mind spiraling and he couldn't put his words into sentences, it was all bundling up into a mess. He quickly looked away, he couldn't look at Isaiah when he was like this. Isaiah didn't deserve all this second-guessing. " I'm sorry" he then whispered.
" im not okay with it. I don't want you to have to ask and look for approval every time. Its so frustrating" Leo admitted but he knew Isaiah had enough patience for the both of them and that made everything so much easier. Leo took a deep breath " I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean to get so.... frustrated. its not your fault. " you are so loving and caring and respectful and.... all the good things baby. I really do appreciate you, you know that right?" he asked biting his lip. If square one was what they needed, which it was, leo was going to put in so much effort to move up fast. Leo might not like to be in control, but he lived having a voice and be herd, even tho it might not be 100% verbally, Isaiah got his body language so well mapped down.
After saying Isaiah hadnt, Leo douted himself, Isaiah most likely had, Isaiah always complimented him for everything. but in the moment Leo couldn't remember so no was the answer he was rolling with. Isaiah had gotten Leo in the mood right now, he wanted nothing more than his husband. " yeah Zaya, I want you to make love to me please" the young man begged his husband
Leo longed for his husband's touch, his husband's warmth and love. He could never get enough of it. Isaiah made him feel like the most important human alive. He made him feel safe and adored. Leo knew that with Isaiah everything was more than okay, he knew his man would read his signs when Leo couldn't get out the words. His man might not run out of turning buildings with people over his shoulder, but his man saved many lives every single day, Leo being one of them. The police job was far from easy, Leo knew that, he knew the toll it could take on his husband, both physically, mentally and emotionally. But his ban was so strong and leo had promised to always e there for him no matter what he needed, he would do everything he could to support him.
Isaiah had the man breathing unevenly from pleasure as he tried his best keep cool. " how?" Leo didn't feel like his brain was working properly at the moment, his mind kept going to what Isaiah was doing and how amazing it felt. Leo couldn't help but pull ever so slightly on his husband's curls motioning him to come meet his face. the purring had only made him want his husband's love even more. " your patrol car would be so freaking hot, but I am not about to get you in trouble, ever. Thats work, we don't do things there." he said... before his mind drifted to the countless of times they had snuck off at work to have sex. In the shower, in the broom closet... pretty much everywhere they wouldn't get caught... or less likely at least " okay.... never mind, I take that back.... but no not your patrol car" he chuckled a the thought " i´m impatient today, I want you right here, right now" he told him softly. " I want your love baby" he expressed
Feeling his husbands hand on his dick and feeling his body move so their faces met in a soft and sweet kiss got Leo smiling, he really did know all of leos signals. Feeling Isaiahs nose brush against him earned Isaiah an even bigger smile. " oh baby, that wont be a problem, its just you and I in this world, and our moment" he stated, Leo always did get lost in their love making. All his worries washed away.
" oh baby, your not the only one, I need you so bad, I need you all wrapped up in me. "
Isaiah loved that his husband wanted to protect his best friend too. Violet and Leo being close made his heart happy because those two people were the ones that kept him from sinking time and time again. "Reign's got the cutest little girl. She's a little bit younger than Ayd is." Isaiah could remember Reign bringing his daughter to work one time. He'd gave the little girl a cupcake there to make a good impression. Nala seemed appreciative and had smiled so widely back at him.
He could see his husband's mind spiral as he started to think about the future that might happened between him. He seemed to be questioning if was fit for fatherhood which seemed bizarre to Isaiah. Isaiah got to witness first hand how his husband was around Violet's kid when he stopped over for a sleepover here. He was so playful, endearing and creative without even having to think about it all. "Once you take the uniform off you are the exact same person, babe. The uniform doesn't give you superhero powers. That's all on you." Clark Kent was still Superman - even when he wasn't clocked in. Isaiah knew the reasons why his husband was questioning all this. Isaiah and Leo's childhoods were different. He grow up with loving parents and a big brother that he admired and worshiped. Leo, on the other hand, had a dreadful experience. His parents were horrible. The experience that he went through shaped him into the person he was. "What makes you think you aren't? I see you around all our friends kids. I see you making them smile, comforting them, loving them."
Isaiah reached out for his husbands hands as Leo told him that he knew he loved him and wouldn't do anything to hurt him. That was right. He wouldn't dream of rushing Leo into do anything with him. Conversations were important. It was a starting point between them. "I'm okay with picking up from square one again as long as you are. You know I wouldn't do anything without you telling me it's alright." Leo's consent was the most important thing in this relationship. Isaiah knew his husband hadn't always had the option to give it out which is why he always checked and then double checked.
Isaiah furrowed his eyebrows because he should've told his husband just how great he looked from this angle countless times in the past. Those other times were missed opportunities and he wouldn't make the same mistake again. His husband deserved to be complimented. Feeling the other's hips buck up to meet his mouth meant whatever he was doing was working. "You want me to make love to you?"
Sex with Leo had a deeper meaning to Isaiah. He could remember wanting to bring the hot firefighter home with him that first night their paths crossed when he watched him saving somebody else life. Isaiah could remember watching the scene from his patrol car, practically drooling, eyes focused on the man looking like an action hero with fire blazing behind him and another man thrown over his shoulder before placing him down. He looked so strong and brave. Leo didn't always see himself like that but Isaiah did all the time.
He continued going down as his husband to him all hot and heavy. "How'd you want it this time?" That conversation was one of the most important between them and he always asked to make sure he wouldn't accidentally do something that might trigger his husband. His husband's hand clenching between his curls had him purring. Isaiah was big on having his husbands hands guiding him slightly. "Here? Upstairs? In the backseat of my patrol car?"
He let his hand take over from his mouth for a couple of seconds as he leaned up slightly to kiss his husband again. His nose brushed against Leo's showering him with his love and patience and kindness. "I want us to make love and I want you to not be able to stop thinking about it. I want just the thought of it to get you like all like this." His thumb swiped over the other's member as he watched his chest rise and fall.
"I need you."

" hot chocolate it is. but which topping are we going for today? i think we got whipped cream or vanilla ice cream... we probably have some marshmallows laying around as well." Leo suggested. " yeah, they take forever. Im mostly just sad about how I haven't been in the mood to be around people, you especially. Like I miss you so much but at the same time I cant pick up the phone and call you. " I... i think i´m at the point where I'm ready to get back to my normal life... if that makes any sense, I cant mope around home all day anymore. its not doing me any good. " I would like it if we hung out more" he then admitted. " he did? what did he want?" Leo wondered.
leo was so happy when sky agreed to meet up. It sure had been a while. After everything that happened, leo was finally back on his feet and wanted to see his friend. Socialisin hadnt really been easy mental state of mind after the incedent. Isaiah was all he could take. Now however, Leo felt ready. "I have missed you too, oh how i have missed you" he said and hugged back before letting her in "yeah ofcause we can go iside, im not going out there" he chuckled. " lets make some hit chocolate" he suggested. " im okay, the wounds are healing nicely, the physical at least. Emotion side of things are going slower but ill get there. Zaya is a big help" he said smiling as he mentioned him. " im sorry i havnt been up to hanging out" he then appologiced, he felt really bad about it because he knew sky was always there for him.

skylar knocked on the king's door, her arms wrapped tightly around herself as the cold air bit at her skin. even with her jacket on, the chill had her shivering. she’d told romeo she’d be home later since leo had asked her to come over. when the door opened, a smile spread across her face. "oh my god, i’ve missed you so much," she said, rushing to hug him. “can we go inside? i think i’m going to freeze out here,” she added with a soft chuckle. "how are you? isaiah told me the other day you’re starting to feel better," she said, her voice warm and filled with care as she stepped inside. @leohunter2020

" Well if he wants to be a part of Violets and aidens lives, he better treat them right or he will have both me and you to answer to and that will never end well for him" Leo said protectively. Those two were really important to Leo, especially because they were so important to his husband. Tho ofcause with time and getting to know them, they were to him as well even if Isaiah wouldn't be in the picture. " if he's family oriented like it sounds like then yeah, that might work out." he said only wanting the best for them. " he sounds like a guy who would treat them right." If Isaih was okay with him, then Leo for sure was to. Isaiah was the best people reader Leo knew, that much was for sure.
" well, being a firefighter has nothing to do with it baby, you know how it is, you put on the uniform and you are on the clock, you're in this role. once the uniform is off, it's different," he said cause that's how he really felt. When Leo put on the uniform, he was brave, he felt like he could do anything, but without it, Leo felt broken inside. Even tho Isaiah was putting the pieces together, one by one. The more Leo thought about the whole adoption and surrogate process, the more afraid he got. The more worried he became of how much digging into Isaiahs and leos pasts they would do. If they went to the point of asking bout leos past, which they would, Leo felt like they would say Leo was unstable and that his background was too horrible to bring a child into. It didn't take long til Leo was biting his tongue so hard that he could taste the blood, he was in a totally different world than Isaiah, all the what ifs. He then mumbled " I don't think its as easy as that, to put our trust in te universe....I got trust issues and you really want kids, you re made to be a father" Leo said as his mind drifted to the what-if of the scenario where Leo would leave Isaiah so Isaiah could have kids and just the thought made leo feel like somebody had a knife in his chest and was twisting it. It was getting harder to breath.
" yeah, i know you would never get mad at me for it, but I do, I get mad at myself. I want you to get everything you want. I don't wanna be back at square one. This sucks. I hate him so bad Isaiah, Hate is a really strong word and I don't wanna use it but I hate him. I hate the effect he has had on us. Letting go is so hard. I just wanna be able to do what we did before but out of nowhere my body just freezes, my mind just.... I know you wont hurt me " he stated " you will never hurt me, you love me" he spoke out loud, it was true and Leo knew that. he took a deep breath "Thank you for being you baby, I love you" he eventually said trying to push all the frustration away.
" how about right now?" leo asked with he biggest of smiles. Oh how much he loved looking. Sometimes when they were out, Leo wanted nothing more than to go home and just be, with him, look, play, enjoy, have fun. the dirty didn't always have to have something to do with it. " its mine and only mine" he then stated and kissed him softly before pulling away with a smile
Feeling his husband start to go down on him was so amazing, Leo didnt notice but for a while he held his breath as his head tilted back more and he melted into the couch, It felt heavenly. Leo let out a loud moan as he put a hand in Isaiahs curls " fuck Zaya,I don't think I will last long" he admitted, it felt too good and as Isaiah pleasured him, all his worries and frustrations, it all just disappeared into thin air, the only thing that existed in his head was him, Isiaah and this amazing feeling. Leos eyes opened and he met his husbands look. Leo couldn't help but just give him the biggest yet most lazy smile ever, he was in too much pleasure to put in the effort. However, he could feel the tentio build up already. How was Zaya able to get him going so fast, and get him to the highs so quickly. Leo felt like he was an inexperienced teenager. But it was just the effect his extremely hot husband had on him.
" i dont think you ever have told me that, my love" he said and soon after he felt himself buckle his hips a little more towards Isaiah, he didn't mean to but it just happened. Isaahs words sure boosted Leos confidence he spread his legs further apart giving Isaia have better access " I wanna make love" he then whispered, a moan following his words. " fuck baby that feels amazing" he then told Isaiah trying to make sure he would keep that up
Leo loved his husband so much, he always knew just the right words that Leo needed to hear right in the moment. Leo struggled a lot, with a lot. Isaiah assured him on facts Leo knew, reminding him... it always gave Leo a warm feeling of support, love and comfort. " yeah, i know your not going anywhere. Ever. Its you and me against the world" Leo said with a smile
" yeah? thats good... i bet they are getting to know each other really well" Leo smirked. " but that's cute, i´m happy for her. I just hope he is the right one for her, that he wont hurt her. Cuz if he does, he has you and me to answer to" Leo pointed out. Violet was important to Leo, especially because she was so important to Isaiah. Leo was not going to let anyone hurt her " do you approve of him? is he a good guy? like good for her?" Leo asked wanting to make sure. He trusted isaiahs opinion, plus Isaiah knew him a little, Leo not at all. " With kids in the mix, I bet its way more complicated, but still. I really hope it works out."
Leo was thankful that Isaiah was willing to get it started and figure out the first step with Leo silent by him. Leo was really stressing about it. and being able to just be there and if he felt like it or had something to ask he could. " yeah, I just hope I can handle it no matter who our connection will end up being" Leo really wanted to be able to handle anyone, male or female tho he knew it could get hard at some point. Leo really felt that he was doing better and felt strongly about being able to do it all and handle it all. At the same time he was hesitant and worried about failing, about someone saying they couldn't have kids. That they didn't think Leo was fit for it.
" i dont like fight or flight mode. My brain knows your safe, you wont hurt me. I just don't get it." Leo said with frustration at himself, tho Isaiahs words really did help him feel a bit better " yeah? yeah, I am doing better" he said as the frustration started to turn into pride. He was there, okay with being shirtless and that was big progress for sure. " i´m sorry baby, i´ll try to stop, I promise.... it just happens tho... please don't be mad at me." He said and softly kissed him, Leo then lifted his hands for Isaiah to be able to slip the shirt off easily. Leo secretly loved the slow mode, well, It wasn't that much of a secret. Isaiah of cause knew Leo liked it. Leo liked the fast pace as well, it just depended on the moment. These slow moments however, they were filled with so much love and care and Leo couldn't get enough of it.
" okay fine, but only if i get to admire my husbands extremely amazing body afterwards" he said with dreamy eyes. Leo really adored his husbands muscular body. Not that he wouldn't if he wasn't that fit, but oh how Leo loved his muscles and six pack and perfect v-line, so defined, so flawless. Leo let his hand rest over Isaiahs heart as long as he let him, the beating of his heart felt calming even tho it was beating fast.
Leos eyes watched carefully as he removed his shirt and followed it as it hit the floor, then all he could see was his extremely hot husband right in front of him and he could feel himself getting really excited. His mind went to all the things they could do together and all the feelings he could get out of it. His hand moved to Isaiahs chest and that along with his thoughts was enough to get him rock solid. He shifted a little as he was sitting there just staring at his husband. He didn't get how people said that with time in a relationship, sex could go stale. Leo disagreed. Sex and any sexy time with Isaiah was full of excitement, joy and loads of fun.
Leo watched with confusion as his husband put the couch cushion on the floor. Why was he doing that? it wasn't in the way, they had had sex on the couch plenty of times without them being in the way and having to be moved. Seeing Isaiah move to the cushion, and feeling him move Leo to more of a sitting normal position, Leo realized what was happening and Isaiahs words soon confirmed it all " Zaya" Leo smiled and did as he said. He unzipped his jeans who had become oh so extremely tight in the last few seconds. He whipped it out just as his husband had asked him to. He repositioned himself a little getting comfortable, biting his lower lip and taking a deep breath.

feeling his husbands arms around him and the warmth zayas hugs gave him, leo let out a big breath of comfort and his whole body relaxed. " no, im not rediculouse. You havnt tried your hugs. You dont know how amazing and warm they are. Plus you had a really long shift and i wanted my man. This is our day" he argued. "I missed you the most. You have tomorrow off right?" He asked just to make sure. Leo just had the need to be with him right now
"I do? I mean yeah, yeah of cause i do" he said with a chuckle "i did not mess my fancy dinner up four times before getting it right... nope, that wasnt me. Not at all" he laughed softly " but i promise these are good" he tried to assure him " proud of me? I realky think you should look at the food before you say that" he huckled lightly looking him in the eyes, not breaking eyecontact for even a second. " thanks babe, i really try to just make the most of it. Life is now" he said with the biggest smile. To him it were the small things in life that mattered, and these days leo just wanted to make every moment with his husband count.
" yeah i agree. It have been 3 amazing years by your side. I love getting to call you my husband and wake up by your side most nights and do everything with you. Sure we have had some setbacks through these years but i think it only makes us stronger together" he admitted and bit his lower lip. " thank you for always being there for me. No matter what, big or small"
Leo noticed isaiah lean in and so he med him in the middle, kissing back slowly. He had no plans of letting isaiah pull away any time soon. It was too nice. He kept his arms around his man just kissing him softly
Leo was finishing setting up candles, yeah it might be a fire hazard, but the battery once didn't hit the same and in Leo made sure to place them in safe spots. Three years, there amazing yet challenging years had passed and it was something to celebrate. Leo then made a fire in the fireplace and set up their dinner. It might not be a 5 star meal, but Leo had worked hard and he knew his husband would appreciate it.
" ZAYAAAA" Leo said as soon as he heard his voice and got up on his feet running to his husband to give him a kiss and a hug " you see, my oven wasn't home. I just really wanted a hug and to see my favorite man in the world. I missed you so much. " he admitted

Leo had planned the whole day out with things they loved and some other surprices. Leo couldnt believe it had been 3 years today sinse their big day. Leo wanted to celebrate everything they had accomplised as well as everything that was to come, especially now that they were planing on big things.
With isaiah finishing his shift, leo had gotten everything at home ready, he had pulled out all the comfy blankets and pillows, he had prepared a meal even... sure it was only grilled chese, but hey, he had cooked without burning down the house and leo was proud. Now he had told isaiah to hurry home and fix the oven problem they didnt have, so now he just waited for him to arrive
