Oh hello this is so nuts 🤩

hey guys i think im having a manic episode or smth worse #idk #idc so i wanna just point out a few things i noticed about unos awakening design. besides the fact that he's looking a lot like heitaros. which i kept repeating in loop since it was posted.

ill add close ups for my yapping

first off all: the ominous eyes markings moved places AND changed colors again. is this like those characters who express their emotions thru their eyes colors but in his case its his marking placement or smth LMAO

theyre also inconsistent in size but yeah lets ignore that im sure these artists are underpaid

so i shall bring this back

also besides the eye shinies his look seems so. dead. he doesnt look in pain or desesperate, he just looks. tired. about to give up. ouchie. and his eyebags are SO much bigger now

the neck markings looks like theyre about to close on his neck, as if strangling him, keeping him sealed or something

also his sword, which i assume its muramasa and not blood wolf, is completely cracked and also completely demonic or whatever the hell is that LMAO

this is such a sad detail if you think abuot it for. 2 seconds. thats his last memory of reina and its being destroyed, being corrupted by something he likely has no control over

oh hey it looks like they actually canonized his top surgery scars thats great. and it also has became an eye

genuinely why is his awakening design so OMINOUS if theyre not giving lore to it. i need more dawg.

either seals or protection papers? the contaniment has breached long time ago brother hes on a whole ass new universe LMAO

jokes aside. i wonder where i saw this before. hmm.

i really like this concept if you seem this in a pov on him putting this on himself. like, imagine him passing around another village and overhearing the villagers talking about protecting yourself from bad spirits and he just. tried to do it the best he could hoping this would get rid of the voices on his head or his blood thirst urge

tho. it looks a LOT like dio's claw arm thing something whatever but dio's arm is VERY colorful while uno's went from blue to. pure black? with a very tiny bit of blue showing.

also i wonder where i saw that black hand aswell...

oh yeah I ALSO drew that. look at the white bangs dawg im crying theyre watching me.

anyway thats all i think. i also think its funny how uno became a canonically chronically sandals-with-socks wearer lol boy is comfy asf thanks god he ditched those ugly ass shoes #youdidnthearthatfromme

idk if i told the full story on here but i signed up for a research study where they were testing a new opioid, and it was supposed to be up to 5 injections increasing the dose to see what people could tolerate

i got the first dose and almost immediately fainted. they had to call in a whole medical team and it was a huge fucking deal

i was kicked out of the study and got a phone call later where they were supposed to tell me what the drug was, so i could avoid it in the future. they told me it was saline water. a placebo. i fainted from the placebo effect.

anyway, it's been a few months and i just got an email from the same department asking me to be a research participant in a new study: testing the effects of open-label placebo.

open label placebo is when the subjects and the researchers all know it's a placebo. they're testing the power of my mind. my power to imagine anything.

i like to think that they chose me for this specifically based on their past experience with me. "get the guy who fainted like a little bitch boy from saline water." anyway i just submitted all my info and i'm looking forward to getting started.

The most important writing lesson I ever learned was not in a screenwriting class, but a fiction class.

This was senior year of college.  Most of us had already been accepted into grad school of some sort. We felt powerful, we felt talented, and most of all, we felt artistic.

It was the advanced fiction workshop, and we did an entire round of workshops with everyone’s best stories, their most advanced work, their most polished pieces. It was very technical and, most of all, very artistic.

IE: They were boring pieces of pretentious crap.

Now the teacher was either a genius OR was tired of our shit, and decided to give us a challenge.  Flash fiction, he said. Write something as quickly as possible.  Make it stupid.  Make it not mean a thing, just be a quick little blast of words. 

And, of course, we all got stupid.  Little one and two pages of prose without the barriers that it must be good. Little flashes of characters, little bits of scenarios.

And they were electric.  All of them. So interesting, so vivid, not held back by the need to write important things or artistic things. 

One sticks in my mind even today.  The guys original piece was a thinky, thoughtful piece relating the breaking up of threesomes to volcanoes and uncontrolled eruptions that was just annoying to read. But his flash fiction was this three page bit about a homeless man who stole a truck full of coca cola and had to bribe people to drink the soda so he could return the cans to recycling so he could afford one night with the prostitute he loved.

It was funny, it was heartfelt, and it was so, so, so well written.

And just that one little bit of advice, the write something short and stupid, changed a ton of people’s writing styles for the better.

It was amazing. So go.  Go write something small.  Go write something that’s not artistic.  Go write something stupid. Go have fun.

Thought about the comic artists story and the meaning of the Light in the dark. She says she was using a small flashlight that barely light up the path, only to realize in the daylight there was a much easier path.

Then I started thinking about how Cheng Xiaoshi was about to hop into a picture from several years back, into a person who had nothing to do with him until several days ago. He was almost willing to hijack someone's whole life just to have a 'chance' to save Lu Guang.

Then it hit me. Lu Guang has only ever been confirmed to have taken control of his own body, his own point of view. And throughout the series we see Cheng Xiaoshi wanting more information, more points of view, to know the WHOLE story only to have Lu Guang tell him to not worry about the details and focus solely on the mission.

A very narrow field of vision, if you will. And he always kind of seems reluctant to look at multiple points of view. Lu Guang's biggest flaw is his narrow point of view. Missing subtle cues and hints that could lead to a better outcome. If Cheng Xiaoshi were the one to go back in time to fix things he would definitely make a mess of the timeline (because taking over someone's life for years on end would cause such drastic changes that you may never be able to return to your timeline or... perhaps... yourself) BUT I think he has the potential to really be able to put the pieces together. And Qiao Ling being able to see people's memories and feelings can help them truly understand the motives for actions. They all need to work together to do this. She's always tried to be the voice of reason and I honestly think she wouldn't take Lu Guang's side as often if she knew how stubborn he could truly be.

So needing more light, more points of view, more options could go a long way. Another thing I'm not sure Lu Guang thought about is that if he is running out of pictures, he can just take MORE pictures. Capture MORE moments from the timeline. It's such a small change he wouldn't even have to sweat so hard about it. I think there is hope threaded throughout the story of link click. And I want to have faith that we will get a good ending.
