One of my most boomer thoughts is companies shouldn’t message me on WhatsApp when they have my number. The email you send is fine. The text you send me with the number you have is fine. Why are you messaging me on WhatsApp I hate it!

I realised Tracking every aspect of my life (books read, hobbies done, steps completed etc) was in fact ruining my peace and making me feel unproductive every moment I was awake (and sometimes stopping me from sleeping) since I gave up properly updating Apps For Everything I have just. Done things. Cos they’re my hobbies or responsibilities or whatever. Without as much paralysing inability to START.

Anyway this is a ramble but basically to say I’ve read 3 books since giving up on a reading goal, nearly finished a new crocheted cardigan and I’m alive to exist not to meticulously plan and track my life.

not me having to channel the anger management strategies I learned at 10 before 9:30am on a Monday morning cos everyone is FUCKING ANNOYING

i do feel unstoppable now though, time to buy yarn for a new cardigan >:)

i finished the cardigan i started crocheting when i moved into the flat yippeee. only problem is i have put weight on since i started it so it's a bit small

yesterday’s childhood reread was Multiple Choice by Janet Tashjian, not sure if anyone else has read this book but it’s up there with are you there god? It’s me, Margaret in terms of how much it impacted me as a 9-13 year old. My boyfriend thinks it’s strange to be reading middle grade books that I have read more times than I can count but it’s really grounded me back to Who I Am in a way I can’t really explain.

I totally forgot that are you there god? it’s me, Margaret has a movie now! I’m kinda scared to watch it because that book is so ingrained in my soul idk if I could watch it on a screen. That story lives in my mind!!

i've spent my evening bullying people on mtg:a with a comical amount of chocobos.

i don't really ever get that 'carrying the mental load of the household' between me and my partner if anything he has more of it but TELL ME WHY we only ever have ice cubes when I refill it or remind him to refill the tray when he's going to use the last couple (even though we both know I use ice for my coffee every morning) also tell me why i opened the freezer to a singular ice cube :(
