A Midsummer Night’s Dream- Gwendoline Christie as Titania
This was such an interesting production of Midsummer…I was able to see it while it was streaming during lockdown, and it was a ton of fun! They re-worked the show a bit, and so instead of Oberon using the flower on his wife…Titania uses it on her husband, and Oberon falls in love with Bottom!
The dress she wears in the show is absolutely stunning. I love that shade of green on her and the embroidered flowers are beautiful, especially in how they are offsetting the one shoulder top. And it’s really cool how the go from being embroidered on the bodice, to hanging at the waist, like a belt. And the volume of the skirt and train really emphasizes her height and makes her so regal and powerful.
