As a tone indicator, I'm saying this entirely in good faith and lighthearted! From what I've seen, a lot of the people who are focused on shipping Les Amis/take a lot of liberties with their characters are just teenagers that are fans of the musical experimenting with their interests and sexuality; I really don't think it's the end of the world, and maybe we should show some grace and understanding.

As someone who has been in this fandom for a decade, I've seen folks grow out of it and move on to understanding them on a deeper level, and it's something that happens in every fandom. I was even like that when I was a young teenager in this space. I'm even still learning new things upon rereading now!

Yes, it's a little frustrating when there's a lot of other interesting parts of the story/characters that are being missed out on, but at the end of the day, it's really not harming anyone. If a high schooler wants to project onto their favorite guy and it helps them learn something about themself, who are we to stop them?

I think we as a fandom have forgotten about Chasing a Ghost, it was the best fanfic I had read back in the day and it was very popular, but it's nowhere to be found now, and the author dissapeared too 😭

I think this is an unpopular one, but this fandom treats artists really badly. And it's a shame because there is a lot of talent in this fandom and people don't appreciate it enough.

Anyways, if you see a fanart you like, reblog it, don't just like it. Likes do nothing on tumblr. And pls don't leave bad comments in the tags. If you don't have anything good to say just say nothing, fanarts are made for fun and for free. Be grateful to artists.
