buddy this jeff skinner agenda is top notch! I do need the other universe tho. I need a peek between the gaps (pretty please) (although trying to imagine what he’s missing is almost more heartbreaking than having it)

MY AGENDA she is ready and roaring and my friends have not stopped sending me jeff posts since july 1st. this is my stanley cup frankly

writing that fic was honestly like a battle between my characterization demons because jeff is trying so bad to (re)connect with him and connor is just an injured tired guy who has suffered ten thousand lifetimes. and jeff has learned all of this back there but now he’s here and they r so similar but also so very different. and jeff remembers every single detail he’d brought back w him but obviously mcdavo wouldn’t notice jeff remembering until it was just too weird and then he would keep not noticing bc he has other stuff on his mind than his winger trying 2 aggressively befriend him.

and all that is to say that jeff suffers more than any of us will ever know. and that he knows davo’s coffee order, how to calm a knee spasm, the way con’s bedhead looks in the morning, the passcode to his house (though he won’t ever use it in this timeline, not now), and the taste of his mom’s cooking over christmastime. in that order

dhdhfg the question is do I even have free time…. life has been chaotic but I guess my relationship w writing is that I either need to be overcome w an urgent enough emotion to create smth or I need enough inner peace in my free time that I can segment it into free time 2.0 and writing time. it’s very hard to stumble upon the latter unfortunately for me

And when I woke up I started thinking what if one of the players was holding him on their lap, playing with him, and started asking him hockey questions, like his opinions on strategies. And jo is surprised and ask why they care and the player is surprised that Joe is surprised and says *we traded for you because you're great at hockey, why wouldn't we want your ideas?" And jo is finally allowed to be both wanton and fucking good at his job
