This will definitely expand as I flesh out Huntercorp Jess more.
Jess’s mother is the CEO of Lifeline Contracting, a company that has a variety of physicians for anyone’s contracting needs, particularly jobs that hold a lot of danger to ensure that medical care is started immediately. Growing up, Jessica felt a lot of pressure to meet her parents expectations. Being a top doctor in their company was the only option she had ever seen for herself and she was punished from a young age for bringing any grades home that weren't perfection, because they could have been. All of her free time was spent studying and at church as her mother is a devout catholic and made sure her children were too. Volunteering and charity galas filled nearly every weekend and Jessica really can't remember a time where her mother's company wasn't thriving.
When Huntercorp started to gain traction, Clarissa Moore saw opportunity for another company to contract her doctors to. As a result, Jessica was sent on a mission with Sam and Dean Winchester to prove the handiness of having a trained doctor with aggressive wound care and surgical training there to start early intervention on hunting related injuries. Her first case alongside the Winchesters led to her early intervention saving Sam Winchester's life after a brutal wendigo attack. The younger Winchester found himself rather smitten with her, and his interest led John Winchester to take the take solidifying the ties between the two major companies to the next level.
A mutually beneficial agreement was made. Nurses and doctors that are paid by Lifeline Contracting are trained as agents in Huntercorp. They have to prove they can take care of themselves during hunts because they are there on the scene to bridge the gap of care between an on the job injury and the hospital. Helping with the monster killing part isn't their primary function, but they are all trained to assist as getting results is the most important part of a job. To solidify the connection of Huntercorp and Lifeline Contracting, and as a sign of good faith for what would become future conglomeration of the two companies, Jessica Moore and Sam Winchester are set to be married.
While Jessica was a little iffy on the concept of arranged marriage, and pretty upset that her parents seemed to think she was nothing more than a bargaining chip, she finds Sam to be an absolute dreamboat. She falls in love with him almost instantly. She is a well-mannered, gracious woman with a brilliant mind and no intention on her life not meaning something through saving others. While she can be a bit on the shy side, she will comment on those not following God’s will, especially when it comes to sexual promiscuity, as Jessica still held her virginity when she and Sam were set up for marriage. Particularly, she is pretty vocal about Heidi and Mick, as the two do not even try to hide their relationship as it goes on and the office affair is downright despicable to her.
Jessica is very keen on keeping Huntercorp’s reputation clean. Cameron Ambrose acts as her mole for office gossip to ensure that nobody is behaving in any way that will get themselves or others killed or put the company in a bad light. At some point before their big, extravagant wedding, Sam is able to convince her to have sex. Turns out? She loves it! And it becomes a pretty regular thing for them, after they had avoided acting on the growing, palpable sexual tension between them. It is pretty noticeable around the office that she’s a lot less uptight and judgmental.

This will likely continue to expand with further development. This verse is closed to @azrahel and my Mick Davies on @bleakfated. Other than that it is fair game to other characters. Jessica is resurrected in late season 10 by Metatron.
Seasons 10/11
Before Metatron was broken out of Heaven, he convinced one of the angels that were still partial to his side to resurrect souls that had been important to the Winchesters. Metatron had a sinking feeling that the Winchesters and Castiel would come back for him and he wanted to have some leverage. Naturally, Jess became one of those souls as she was one that Ash had taught to break out of her section of Heaven and was often found in Ash’s Heaven that only consisted of The Roadhouse. The souls being yanked out of Heaven hadn’t gone unnoticed and the angel was quickly killed for their crimes against the new order of Heaven. Around this same time, with the help of Bobby, Metatron is taken back to Earth and loses his grace, thus losing any potential to use those he resurrected against them because he no longer had any allies.
Jessica woke up at her headstone in San Francisco. Terrified of what this meant, she quickly worked on fleeing the city in the off chance that anyone she had known in her human life would see her, especially her parents or sister. Little did she know that her parents now lived in Palo Alto and her sister was attending Stanford Law School. She bummed a ride off of a guy to Concord, at which point she ran off while he was inside a gas station. Having no idea how many years had passed since her death, Jessica was terrified of the potential of being brought back by demons to be used against Sam. She found her way to a Catholic church in hopes that she could remain safe there. The taunting of the demon inside of Tyson Brady had come back to her in waves. As he pulled the knife out of his chest, unbothered, he had let her know that she didn’t stand a chance against him without salt, iron, or a devil’s trap.
If that were the case, she needed a vessel to steal some holy water in and maybe something iron to protect herself, because she was still far too close for comfort to where it was most likely others would recognize her. She stole a water bottle off of a bike chained up outside of a coffee shop and quietly took some holy water from another church. It was at this moment that an unknown woman appeared not too far from Jessica. Azrael, the angel of death, was investigating why souls had been taken from Heaven. At first, Jessica immediately assumed danger and the idea of dying again with the potential of being intercepted on her way back to Heaven terrified her almost as much as being used as a bargaining chip against Sam. When the angel assured her that she didn’t mean her any harm, Jessica relaxed enough for little bits of her personality to shine through and Azrael took a quick liking to her.
After this, Azrael assured Jess that she would help her get on her feet… but this turned into a rather strong friendship. Hunting came pretty easily with an angel by her side, but Jessica honed up her self-defense skills and knowledge of the supernatural. Azrael would often need to return to Heaven or solve other crises and this left Jessica with some time to integrate herself into the hunting community. Sometimes with other hunters, she would give her main alias name Vanessa, but she became more comfortable with some of them to give her her first name alone. Sporadically, she would spend some time at The Crossroads and became pretty friendly with Teddy and Cam, sometimes taking cases with them when Azrael was away on business. They were a few of the hunters that she had grown to trust, but she still wouldn’t let on to anyone about her true identity other than Azzie who had obviously figured it out on her own.
Nightmares had plagued her since the moment she had first been brought back, mostly about her death and demons at first, but they quickly developed into ones about Sam. Were they no longer compatible because of how much they had both changed since 2005? Would he not want her as a memory of not being able to escape the hunting life for one that was normal? Had he met someone else, maybe a hunter that was way more badass than she could ever dream to be? Even the thought of him having met someone else and being ready to drop them for Jess made her feel sick to her stomach. Ultimately, all of these thoughts messed with her head enough to believe that leaving Sam in the dark about her resurrection would be what was best for both of them, so whenever she did go to The Crossroads, she made sure to message Cam or Teddy to see who had been around.
Season 12
About two years after Azrael and Jessica had become friends, they were on a case when they met Mick Davies. Mick had picked up hunting in the American fashion after he had not returned to the British Men of Letters compound where he knew they would kill him for breaking the code. He was a bit clumsy as a hunter, after being part of the brains of the operation of the BMOL for so long, so Azrael and Jessica were already in town when he had gotten there. The man was rather terrified of getting caught, because he knew they would have other members on the case of finding him to make sure he met his demise. Azrael and Jessica took a liking to him and promised to help keep him safe from what little of his story he was willing to share at first. After a month of being on the road together, Azrael was made aware of the carnage that took place when American hunters had stormed the compound.
If the agents weren’t killed, they fled back to England. Doctor Hess was confirmed among the dead. It was at this time that Mick felt comfortable enough to use the key that he had to unlock all Men of Letters bunker. He knew where all of them were located because he had brought out the information on the defunct chapter as they set their eyes on the Winchesters from overseas. They settled in to the bunker in Missoula, Montana. Mick and Jessica developed a playfully friendly bond and the three were all pretty honest with each other. Jess had told Mick about who she was and that she was resurrected and Mick had let her know that it seemed that Eileen Leahy and Sam had some sort of romantic bond at least starting to form. This was something he quickly came to regret, because it only solidified Jessica’s decision to not tell Sam about her further. Mick had grown to like the Winchesters and would often try to prod Jessica into changing her mind, because he believed that Sam deserved to know.
Season 13+
The tranquility of having a real home base only lasted for a few moments, however. A few weeks after settling in the Men of Letters bunker, Arthur Ketch picked the same bunker to regroup himself. He had found out from Doctor Hess before her death that she had gotten information on Mick from Crowley. He was paling around with an archangel, Azrael, the angel of death. Completely separate from the organization himself because they demanded he returned, he had started hunting under the alias Alexander after he had been resurrected from getting killed by the Winchesters with his resurrection seal. It became apparent that the bunker was lived in and he quietly made his way to the garage and made some noise, attracting the attention of Azrael and Mick. Rather effortlessly, he lit a match and trapped Azrael in the ring of holy oil he had made.
When Mick rushed at him, he rendered him unconscious and tied him up to watch the show as he strapped Azrael to a chair with straps etched with angel depowering and suppressing sigils. For a few moments, he considered killing both of them, but it didn’t really seem fitting. He wanted Mick to suffer for being a weak point in their plans against the Winchesters. Instead, he decided that archangel grace was something that would come in handy in a lot of ways. For a few painstaking hours, he removed Azrael’s grace with grace extracting syringes. The rest of the grace was extracted through a cut to the throat into a vial. This was a very painful process and the tortured screams of Azrael were enough fuel for Mick to break free of the binds placed on him. The two men fought it out for a long while, leaving the bunker in a state of disrepair. Eventually, Mick lost the fight and Ketch left the bunker after telling Mick that he hoped he enjoyed the rest of his pathetic existence.
Jessica was not home this night and instead had been staying in a motel in Smith Center to spend a few days at The Crossroads to unwind and catch up with some of her hunter friends. When she returned home, she immediately knew something was wrong when she saw a ring of soot left in the garage of the bunker. Gun drawn, she made her way inside the bunker screaming for Azrael and Mick. The scene she was met with only further twisted her stomach as the bunker was in a complete state of disarray. Shattered glass, knocked over bookcases, and broken chairs were scattered everywhere. A rather beaten up Mick left his bedroom to meet her, telling her to stop screaming because Azrael needed her rest. He did too, but he told Jess about all that had happened when she was gone. Distraught, Jess tried to pick up what she could while Mick worked on adding a secondary lock to the bunker’s entrances.
When Azrael and Mick both felt well enough to travel, they set their sights on the bunker in Roswell, New Mexico. This bunker became their primary place of residence, but they would stay at the Missoula bunker as well when they were more northern. Mick and Azrael got a lot closer in the time that Azrael was human and with a lot of goading form Jess, they began dating. What she hadn’t thought about was that she would become the third wheel. It didn’t bother her, most of the time, but sometimes it made her heart ache for Sam. Mick had since stopped pushing her toward telling Sam after a particularly large blow-up by Jess. Her visits to The Crossroads became a bit more frequent and she hooked up with some hunters from time to time, usually one night stands apart from Cameron Ambrose. They entered a friends with benefits sort of relationship and he would sometimes stay at the bunker after a case before heading back to Smith Center.
The three remained a trio, hunting and taking time off between the two bunkers, both with secondary locking systems and more updated technology for nearly a year without incident. Mick and Jess helped Azzie adjust to a human life and they were all a little more cautious with the cases they took. During this time, Mick helped Jess learn how to document accurate information about the supernatural on a website for hunters, complete with the vast amount of information the British Men of Letters had compiled. However, this all came to an end when Dean Winchester himself knocked on the bunker. He and Ketch had witnessed humans being lined up for slaughter by the angels in the apocalypse world and as a sign of good faith Ketch had given him Azrael’s grace and told him where to find her. The three were at the Missoula bunker at the time, but with the secondary lock, Dean was unable to get inside.
Jolted into action by the sound of banging on the door, Mick and Azzie answered it with their guns drawn. Jessica was about to join in investigating the disturbance when she heard Mick say Dean’s name. That made her run back to her room and quietly shut the door. Azrael was given back her grace and agreed to help fight in the apocalypse world, because the humans deserved peace from the onslaught of misery the angels were inflicting on that world. The mere thought of angels lining up humans for slaughter infuriated her. Mick agreed to help as well and they traveled back to the main bunker in Kansas. Jess on the other hand was completely torn on what to do, but she eventually joined in on this fight as well when apocalypse Michael was brought to their universe.

**partially adapted from lore, subject to change and growth*This information applies to verses In On The Ruse & Those Angel Eyes
Born a seraphim in the ranks of Zachariah and Castiel, Semyaza was not one to mess with in her time as a loyal soldier. However, she grew increasingly irritated with her father and how her siblings blindly follow some of his questionable actions. Eventually, she fell from Heaven due to her fraternization with humanity. She gathered a band of fallen angels and they called the Watchers. Azza’s fall from grace only increased her fascination with humans and procreation and she convinced the other angels in her following to procreate with humans. Many nephilim were born, especially under the male vessels that Semyaza plowed through. In addition to this, she taught the nephilim and humanity alike the art of war, ready to watch chaos unfold across her father’s supposed most sacred creation.
The widespread destruction of the unbridled nephilim, along with the humans becoming increasingly more inclined to start wars angered God. Azza’s sons Hiwa and Hiya were known to each consume thousands of animals every day. To put an end to all of this, God ordered Gabriel to spark a civil war among the nephilim to ensure destruction of the species without God or his angels having to get their hands dirty. Michael is tasked with making sure each of the angels in The Watchers met their own judgment day, after seeing their sons and daughters slain. The Watchers were all sentenced to being torture in Hellfire.
Any angel that sought to help them escape or evade was threatened with the same fate. However, Gabriel, felt partial to Azza and warned her of the incoming punishment under the stipulation that she better behave because he would not risk himself for her again. With a bit of help, Azza was able to fake her own death and escape, evading God and her siblings’ watchful eyes. After the nephilim were all dead and the angels were cast out, God created the Great Flood to wipe out all humans that had been tainted by The Watchers. Afraid to procreate once more and draw attention to herself, Azza took residence in a woman vessel so she could continue to play among the humans, under her own assumption that a female vessel could not fall pregnant.
Semyaza eventually was able to reunite with former co-leader of The Watchers, Azazel, who was now a Knight of Hell along with the other members of The Watchers from their penance in Hell. She became instrumental in his plan to get Sam Winchester back into hunting and off of the soft path he had chosen for himself. At this point, Azza had been inside the same female vessel for millennia, so letting her go proved to be a bit more difficult than she had assumed. Jessica Moore, however, was a rather devout Catholic, and said yes without too much convincing that an angel needed her help on God’s orders. However, somewhere along the way of getting Sam to fall in love with the girl, the fallen angel grew to care for the boy, given how much love and affection poured out of him for her mortal alias Jessica Moore. Such softness was something she had never experienced in all of her years among the mortals.
She almost backed out of the plan altogether because she couldn’t bring herself to hurt Sam in such a way, even though she could see there wasn’t a way out of the mess she’d made. Brady, however, nearly torched her wings as he forced her to continue along with the plan. Heartbroken herself, Semyaza tried to move on while keeping Jessica Moore as a vessel, with darkly died hair in hopes of evading any sort of recognition. Often, she checked in on Sam and is likely responsible for at least a couple of his moments of unexplained luck. She is always careful to keep herself in the shadows and stopped checking in when Castiel and the others showed their interest in Sam, afraid of what Heaven may do to her evading her punishment after all of these years. Azza also wants Sam to live with his happy memories of his time with Jessica Moore, but perhaps selfishly, does not want to watch his face twist in hate and disgust for her.

follows Jessica's journey through the first season and most of the second as a ghost
Jess said no to the reaper because she was in a panic as she watched Sam nearly get himself burned up with her. She didn’t know what’s going to happen but all she was thinking about was how hard Sam’s going to feel the guilt over her death and that he had no idea that it was Brady that had killed her. While she had seen firsthand that Dean would be there to protect Sam, but she didn’t know him, so she couldn’t fully trust him, especially after Sam was so secretive about his family. A part of her worried about them becoming alienated from each other with the fallout of her death because Dean had taken Sam out of town after all.
Sam and Jess’s apartment building was almost completely burned up. With almost none of her possessions surviving the fire, her spirit attached instead to a necklace that Sam had gotten her for her birthday that year. She had accidentally left it at her parent’s home last time she had visited them. Her father had meant to drive it out to her, but he hadn’t gotten around to it. This left the ghost of Jess to silently watch her family learn of her death and start grieving as they planned her funeral in San Francisco.
The boys spent a week in Palo Alto after Jessica’s death. Her father went to Stanford in search of some of her artwork and if anything had been salvageable from the fire. He gave the necklace to Sam, with a tearful speech about how Jess would have wanted him to have it. He also let Sam know that he was there for him and offered him a place to stay if he needed it. Many of the people that had known Jess on campus had made the drive to San Francisco to attend her funeral.
After that, Jess realized that she was chained to the necklace, silently on the road alongside Sam and Dean. She tried to talk to Sam, move objects… anything to get him to notice her but she continued to fall short. Her frustration ebbed and flowed, but she never quite reached the point where her rage was enough for her presence to finally be seen. Desperately, she wished that she had simply went along with the reaper. There was no way for her to soothe Sam’s guilt. She instead got to stay silently beside him firsthand, watching him grieve and feel guilt about her.
She was not always there to see the horrors of all of the monsters the brothers are initially chasing down as it is all dependent on whether Sam has the necklace on him or not. Notably, she was there for the Bloody Mary case, watching as Sam’s guilt manifested in the mirror. She was not present for anything in the house in Lawrence, but she did hear Sam’s confession that he had seen her death before it happened. Jess received some ghostly advice from some of the ghosts in the asylum in Rockford. This started her on the path of hopefully soon being able to get Sam to set her soul free before she toes the line of becoming vengeful in any capacity.
It still was a long while before she could get herself to move anything or be seen by Sam. She was with Sam for the case with Cassie and the haunted painting. Horrified, she was left in the impala when the crash that eventually led to John’s death happened. She was pretty upset to hear what John had said about Sam and tried like hell to make her presence known to comfort him, but again this was to no avail. She remained, watching some of the cases they worked until they met Madison.
Jessica did feel for the woman, but it was hard to be there watching Sam finally let himself move on past a little bit of a kiss. Luckily, she was able to move freely around the apartment and did not see their intimacy, but she did hear it. In the motel room after he killed Madison, Jessica was finally able to make her ghost visible… terrible timing. The pain that she was stuck watching and had been unable to help him with anything while he moved on from her had finally pushed her over the edge. Her first sentence to him was a tearful plea.
“Sam… I need your help.”
sidebar about her reaction to watching Sam & certain characters:
Lori Sorenson - she’s jealous as hell, primarily because seeing Sam kiss someone else for the first time, no matter how brief really got her stomach churning especially because she’s right there with him and he has no idea. she’s also a bit more of a simple, reserved girl and jess wonders if that’s what he would have preferred in her.
Meg 1.0 first encounter - boy how do you not see that she’s weirdly attaching to you so early?? i don’t trust her?? how did she end up at the bus station with you and why was she so insistent on ‘come to california with me uwu’ like girl back up. at least he got his head on straight to stick to his guns about finding dean, despite her insistence.
John - she doesn’t know what to think. she’s upset that he didn’t show up when Dean was dying. Happy to see that he and Sam worked out some of their issues over John’s mistakes. Angry as hell to hear that he told Dean to kill Sam if he became evil. He should know that Sam is not capable of that. If John had still been alive she might have become vengeful in that moment.
Sarah Blake - no dean she’s so hot and badass wtf and i’m right here. no, i’m not okay with it
Ellen, Jo, & Ash - heart eyes, HEART EYES
Gordon Walker - come on boys just kill this motherfucker. seems like a monster to me.

Info is likely to expand, follows Jess being resurrected in late season 4 by Heaven
**Split into seasonal timeframes because this is longer than I anticipated.**
LATE SEASON 4
Jess found herself alive in a field in Falls Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She didn’t have much time to think about her surroundings before a man appeared before her. A man that claimed to be an angel named Zachariah. He claimed that Sam needed her, that Heaven wanted to make good on what the demons jerking him around had done to her… that he was sorry nobody had stepped in to protect her. While her faith in God and any force of good had been severely shaken with her death and what she had seen in Heaven, a piece of her was still hopeful and believed him. With Bobby’s property warded from Heaven’s eyes, he says he can’t help her find Sam exactly, but they had been following the Winchester’s movements and they know Bobby Singer lived somewhere in this town and he would be able to help her find him.
If he were being honest, Heaven hadn’t bothered too much with finding Bobby’s place. Intervening with the Winchesters hadn’t really deemed necessary so far apart from them trying to protect Anna Milton from them. However, they were not going to place all of their faith in Hell for breaking all of the seals and they had decided that Jess would be a great token of leverage over Sam at the very least in the upcoming war that the Winchesters were still in the dark about. As quickly as the angel had appeared, he was gone with what Jess would later recognize was a foreboding word that he would keep in touch. It didn’t take long at Phillips Avenue Diner for Jess to find out that Bobby owned a salvage yard on the outskirts of the city. She bummed a ride off of one of the guys in the diner and was a bit jarred by the tests she was subject to, especially when she told him who she was.
At the time, the Winchesters were on their way back to Bobby’s after finding out that they had a half brother named Adam Milligan. Her reunion with Sam wasn’t quite what she expected. Something seemed off and she wasn’t sure what, but she plastered a signature smile on her face. Still a bit perturbed by how thoroughly she had been vetted, she kept the meeting with the brief meeting about the angel to herself, instead talking about her time in Heaven knowing Ash, who had given her more information about Bobby during all of their talks. When Dean has a dream about meeting Castiel at a certain location, Jessica is left behind at Bobby’s, because despite the peaceful context of Dean’s dream his warning about the potential of other’s listening even in Dean’s mind was rather ominous and Sam wasn’t letting his freshly resurrected college girlfriend out where there was a higher risk for something happening to her.
So, Jessica remained at Bobby’s. She helped him clean up a bit and made a few nice homecooked meals for them both before Bobby gets the call from Dean about how he had found out about Sam’s addiction to demon blood, facilitated by Ruby. Perturbed by this information, she and Sam had a fight through the panic room door. He was having some weird sexual, blood-drinking relationship with a demon to make himself stronger? A bit of her anger was selfish and a bit more fueled by jealousy. She was upset that he would even think to trust, let alone have a relationship with a demon when one had taken her away from him. Jessica told him that he wasn’t remotely close to the person that she had known at Stanford and she was not interested in sticking around while he begged for blood and probably begged to see her. All but demanding a pair of keys for one of the okay cars at the salvage yard, she left with a bit of money in her pocket from Bobby.
SEASON 5
For two weeks, Jess was holed up in a motel room in Red Cloud, Nebraska. What was she supposed to do? Starting a normal life didn’t feel like an option because she couldn’t imagine living simply while her family was still grieving her loss, because there was no way she was telling them and bringing them into the dark underbelly of reality. It was at this point that Dean asked Castiel to find Jessica to ward her, like he had just done for the Winchesters to protect her from the rise of Lucifer. A terrified Jessica was backed into the corner of her motel room, tearfully begging for her life after Castiel appeared and placed his hand on her, sending a jolt of pain through her ribs. He explained that he was an angel sent by Dean to protect her from angels, now that Lucifer was roaming around. Castiel also gave her a phone with his and Sam’s number programmed in it, attached with a promise that he would help her with whatever she needed.
After a couple more days, Jess ultimately decided that she was going to learn how to hunt. Knowing about the supernatural and how awful her death had been, she couldn’t fathom not trying to save others from fates similar to hers. She went to the local library and started researching strange deaths. It was easy to start with one involving animal attacks where the bodies seemed to be drained of blood. In the know of the supernatural now, it seemed like an obvious red flag for vampires and from what she could find about them, decapitation seemed to be the most reliable kill method. She traveled a few states over to Galena, Illinois. Long story short, despite her stealing a blade from a sporting goods store, she was in over her head with no formal training in combat. However, with a stroke of luck, she was saved by a hunter named Charlotte Perrin. The prosperous hunter took Jessica in under her wing, giving her training in fighting, a few needed weapons, and a small journal detailing information of what to look for in headlines for certain monsters and what their weaknesses were.
Jessica remained with Charlotte and/or her small network of hunters that she had gathered since her own story in to the supernatural began. Throughout this time period, Jessica tried to deal with nightmares about her death, fire, Sam, and visits from Zachariah in her dreams that were met with hostility. until she had called Dean just to check in on him and Sam. Close friends of the Winchesters had just died in an attempt to kill Lucifer. It has been about six months since Jess had last seen Sam at this point. The elder Winchester still hadn’t told Sam that he had given Jessica the phone and that they were in sporadic contact, partially at Jess’s request. She had still torn up about everything with Sam and wasn’t ready to forgive him yet and Dean wanted to respect her healing time, but the guilt of keeping her a secret from his brother was weighing on him, especially when he reconnected with his brother after three months. The information of the boys grieving their friends Ellen and Jo Harvelle, however, was enough for her to say goodbye to Charlotte, but not without an insistence of a parting gift of ten grand and Jess’s promise to tell the Winchesters she sent them their best.
She showed up at Bobby’s and she and Sam talked for a long time, she apologized for what she had said. It had been weighing heavy on her mind. She knew Sam’s heart and could see that it had been in the right place, even if all of his senses should have been telling him better than to trust a demon’s intentions. Being the reason that Lucifer was freed from the cage seemed like punishment enough. The pair slowly let themselves reconnect and she tried to soothe over the conflict between the two brothers about the fact that she and Dean had still communicated from time to time. After this, she remained beside them through everything, both of the boys a bit impressed with the hunter that Charlotte had already molded her into. Her propensity to hold information back from Sam bit her in the ass once again when they came face to face with the demon inside of Tyson Brady, now the Horseman’s stable boy. The sight of Brady alone caused Jessica to get physically ill, let alone his goading, and the conversation of why she would have let him continue to believe Azazel had killed her wasn’t easy either.
Then, about six months after she and Sam were reunited he had decided that he needed to be the one to say yes to Lucifer because he was convinced in his strength to trap the devil back in the cage. This mission, was of course, suicide for Sam and despite Jessica’s pleas he insisted that he needed to do what was right for the world, that without him doing this the whole world would be thrown into an apocalypse through the fight of Lucifer and Michael. A tearful Jess left the boys and Bobby while they’re still planning out the attack. She traveled to The Crossroads, a newly opened hunter bar in Smith Center, Kansas where she quickly befriended the co-owners Teddy Bristol and Cameron Ambrose, though Cam was always quick to say that Teddy was the true owner – he had just put some of the money up. After a visit from Dean at the bar confirmed that Sam had pulled off the stunt, she encouraged him to go to Lisa, that she would be okay on her own. Cameron stayed with her to drink after he had closed down the bar and the two drunkenly hooked up, the first of a budding friends with benefit relationship.
SEASON 6+
Jessica and Dean continued their sporadic contact throughout his time with Lisa, the two often communicating about how they could maybe spring Sam from the cage, but Jess all but gave up after a couple of months. Using her money from Charlotte and tips from sporadic nights of helping Cam and Teddy cover the bar, she continued to hunt. Every so often, she was in contact with Bobby, but he kept her at an arm’s length after the resurrected Sam had started poking his head around. Bobby could tell something wasn’t right with him, despite testing him in all of the ways he could imagine. About eight months after Sam had died, Jess had slept with Sidney Carmichael for the first time. What first was meant to be a one night stand developed into something more, when waking him up from her nightmares led her to open up to him. She and Sidney hunted together some, but Jess also took cases of her own or helped out when any of the hunters she had met needed an extra pair of hands.
However, when she got the news from Dean that Sam was alive she dropped everything to meet up with them to only be met with another reunion that didn’t feel right. For a bit, he tried to play along like he knew he ought to, but it wasn’t more than a week or two before Jessica caught him making out with some girl outside of a bar while she was helping Dean with some research. He explained that he couldn’t get over how he’d abandoned him in his last moments and continually lied to his face, and had since admitted to her more significant relationships since his supposed passing. Without a soul, he hoped that the sting would keep her away from him so he would be unbridled to do whatever he pleased. It worked, of course, after Jessica had gotten some harsh words of her own in about not even trying to find her when he found himself alive again. She returned to The Crossroads and Cam held her while she cried on the back porch, despite her protests.
She remained hunting, bouncing between hunting partners. At this point in time, Jessica was an established hunter of her own. Her relationship with Sidney was a bit rocky because she had dropped everything so quickly to see Sam, but they rekindled a couple of times. Sam called Jess when he gets his soul back and Jess had already gotten a warning from Dean that it was best to not talk about Sam’s time when he was soulless because he didn’t remember any of it and breaking down the wall to those memories would send him into a torturous tailspin with the memories of Lucifer and Michael in the cage. When she reunited with Sam this time, it felt very reminiscent of when she had met up with him after Ellen and Jo’s death. After this, she remains by Sam’s side, a little over two and a half years after she was resurrected. Jess keeps close contact with her hunter friends, especially Cam, Teddy, and Charlotte.
I may add further season information here later, but this is the primary footing of her rollercoaster ride before getting into a stable place with Sam.
