Deadeye Roxy from Fnaf: Secret of the Mimic

Being one of the newest original characters comes with some upsides, but also a few downsides. One of those being a lack of variants, even if they get popular and feature prominently. That was the case for Roxanne, until this game gave her two. And neither of them are broken up or merch-exclusive!

A lot of fans who looked at the "deadeye Roxy hat" assume that she was originally a cowgirl before switching to her Glamrock appearance. And while I'm not convinced, I will say it would've been great. Edwin did several questionable(at best) things, but that doesn't reflect in the characters he designed; look at her outfit. The fact that Fazbear Ent made Foxy a pirate in the Pizzaplex and gave her nothing is a crime

My name is Kai (they/he). I’m a disabled, bisexual trans singer-songwriter who loves animals and everything emo, as anyone who’s ever seen my blog can attest to. Unfortunately, I also struggle with a whole bunch of chronic illnesses, including MCAS, POTS, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

I’ve been out of work since November of 2023 when my illness got so bad that I could barely breathe or stand up anymore. I went on short-term disability leave from my job and was let go afterwards due to my disability. I’ve been trying to find a job ever since that I can reasonably do without hurting myself again, and at this point, I’ve run out of unemployment pay. I’ve lost all of my savings trying (and failing) to get out of all the medical debt I incurred trying to get my latest diagnosis.

I’m hoping that I’m able to get back on my feet soon with the little bit of money I’m making from pet-sitting and Instacart (P.S. always tip your shoppers well!) so that I can move out of my parents’ house and move in with my girlfriend, and hopefully both of us can achieve our transition goals and have the life we’ve been working for.

HELP SHIRA SURVIVE A TRANSMISOGYNIST ATTEMPTED MURDER

Shira is a Turkish trans woman who was the victim of attempted murder by a man on the street who realized she was transfemme. After he stabbed her, dozens of people walked by her on the sidewalk until a teenager stopped and helped her.

Shira is now in the hospital in critical condition. She’s undergone emergency surgery and will need multiple operations and long-term care to recover—physically and emotionally.

Shira has no close family nearby, is not accepted by public organizations in Turkey because she is trans, and she’s unable to work while she heals. Her friends are raising funds to cover her medical bills, therapy, and basic living expenses during this painful time.

As of me posting this, the fundraiser has €125 out of a €12k goal. If you can’t give anything to help a trans woman survive a horrific attack, please at least reblog this, set it on your queue, whatever you need to do to make sure others can see and help. Thank you.

Blazing Saddles (Film Review)

After my last experience with a work of satire being a depressing disappointment (coughpostal2paradiselostcough), it was very nice to finally watch this classic film in full and see social satire done right!

Bart and Jim disguise themselves in some goofy KKK uniforms

The film centers around a black man named Bart, who starts the story as a downtrodden railway worker, having to deal with all sorts of abuse from the local racists. Eventually, though, a corrupt politician named Headly Lamarr decides to make Bart the town sheriff, expecting it to ruin the town so he can steal the land.

Bart and Jim's friendship is delightful!

Things to do initially go quite poorly for the Sheriff, as the town is full of racist idiots. But over time, things start to shape up for Bart - he befriends a nice fellow at his office named Jim (played by Gene Wilder!) and as the villainous Headly launches various schemes to take down the Sheriff, they all end up backfiring. First he sends a big fellow named Mongo whom the Sheriff outsmarts, and then he tries to get a lady named Lili to seduce and trick the Sheriff, but she only ends being super sweet on him instead!

Lili is super sweet on the Sheriff but doesn't get to see him for the rest of the movie after they meet. I hope she gets a happy ending of her own too, poor gal.

At his last straw, Headly decides to just go to war - he rounds up all kinds of unwholesome characters ranging from western outlaws to nazis, in hopes of having them destroy the town themselves. Thankfully, The Sheriff works together with both the townsfolk and the railway workers, and they defeat the army of baddies with some clever tricks!

In the movies final act, the 4th wall is obliterated and things descend into mayhem as characters run in and out of the film itself, wreaking havoc all over Warner Bros studios. When all the chaos is settled, we get to see a happy ending for the Sheriff and his pal Jim. Hooray!

Now, for folks not familiar with the films legacy, it is one of those classic comedies that shithead conservatives like to tout as something from "the good ol' days when things weren't so P.C. hurk a durk durk!" - seeming to completely miss the point that the satire of this film works because it is mocking people like themselves - stupid racist bigots. It's a good example of well-done satire that punches up, instead of punching down (or punching everyone). And that is why it's so fun! The humor also goes beyond satire and also includes a great mix of slapstick and absurdist humor as well, delivering lots of great laughs, especially every time the Sheriff outsmarts a baddie with his Loony Toons antics. :)

If you can handle all the slurs in the film (context matters, kids!), Blazing Saddles is a lot of fun and highly recommended! You can find dvd copies of it pretty easily as well as online downloads if you know where to look.

being a black artist is tough because you'll slowly notice a lot of people and artists tend to have a Eurocentric lean towards their characters or the art they draw.

the same blue eyed light haired fair skinned OCS and characters over n over again. when they do draw black characters it's either a commission, they do it poorly (whitewashing), or absolutely refuses to draw us or learn.

there's so much antiblackness everywhere. it's frustrating.

Things just transpired in my house hold that are equal parts offensive and hilarious… Here goes.

So my roommate, Dale, has a gf who does not live with us, but she’s here all the time. So Sunday when my gf was her we were on the couch and we kissed (scandalous, I know) and she saw it, and I’m pretty sure that’s the first time she’s seen us be affectionate, that’s neither here nor there.

So today she tells Dale she’s “uncomfortable” here and wants him to move out because she thinks me and my lady are going to hit on her or something, she doesn’t like living with lesbians, cause it’s not “normal”, so now I’m pissed. Then, Dale goes, “well you don’t live here, so it shouldn’t be a problem, just stop coming over”…things escalated and Dale is trying to break up with her, but she won’t leave our house….she locked herself in Dales room.

So, Dale barges in my room wearing a bathrobe and goes, “call every lesbian you know, we’re smoking this bitch out!” Then turns around and whips his robe like a cape…

And that’s the story of how there are 8 lesbians climbing through the window of Dales room…

The villager submission list for Project Special K has about ninety-something characters in it, which is nice. And it's not that hard to write data files for them — technically half the process can be automated, I'm just doing it by hand because I'm like that.

Thing is, I'm not sure how to get texture sets for them all, even if it's only colors with flat normals and roughness.

(I swear to god I will destroy anyone who dares suggest I use generative bullshit.)
