Day In The Life Of A Zeek:

12 pm: wake up

1 pm: edge myself to garma zabi's funeral portrait

2 pm: put on gay costume

3 pm: begin doomed reconnaissance mission using experimental miltech

4 pm - 12 am: have disgusting greasy sex with all my comrades while pretending to work on our objective

1 am: return to flagship expecting (HOPING!) char will discipline me. instead he merely gives me a look that sends a shiver up my spine.

2 am: i am not a religious man. but trapped now within my cockpit, sweating, staring into the cold vacuum, i begin seeking forgiveness. why, i do not know. something inside me tells me im never going to see the light of supreme commander gihren's face again.

3 am: white devil spotted. char's voice over comms. something in the tone of his voice says to me it will be okay. i begin what i know is a doomed fight. we had a good run. im ready, now. to die for his sake

CEK-077 Beguir-Pente

Almost single-handedly responsible their reputation for high-performance machines, Grassley Defense Systems' Beguir line of Mobile Suits was nearly always at the cutting edge of weapons technology.

Specifically developed to counter Mobile Suits that made use of the GUND-format, their advanced technology and construction were essential to carry out their intended function. By A.S. 122, their most advanced production anti-GUND machine was undoubtedly the CEK-077 Beguir-Pente.

Designed as a successor to the CEK-040 Beguir-Beu, the Beguir-Pente incorporated and improved on many of the systems utilized in the design. Featuring improved Non-Kinetic Effectors and extensive uparmoring compared to its predecessor, the machine was far more durable than previous Grassley designs while still maintaining the high-mobility the company was known for.

In addition to live-combat, the Beguir-Pente was also used in civilian training contexts, with several units being in possession of the Asticassia School of Technology's Grassley House.

The unit - as standard - was armed with a dual-sensor Beam Rifle, the additional targeting systems providing it with nearly unmatched accuracy at mid-to-long range. For melee engagements, it was also armed with a beam saber.

The Non-Kinetic Shield which housed many systems for the Effectors was also equipped with the "Antidote"-system. This advanced electronic warfare suite was capable of weakening, and in some cases outright disabling machines that made use of the GUND pilot-interface system.

The CEK-077 Beguir-Pente was designed by Kanetake Ebikawa for the 2022 anime Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch From Mercury.

Zeon mobile suits fall into a few categories;

there is the Goobly, which looks like some kind of dieselpunk knight and kicks so much ass.

There is the Graugloo, a meaner looking Goobly to show that things have gotten serious.

There is the Beelzeljuice, a newtype-use machine which is either the dumbest thing ever or the coolest thing ever and they make like like two of em.

There is the Looy and the Hylooy, aquatic mobile suits which took up half of and two thirds of Zeon’s budget respectively.

Then there is the Big Zam. This is not a mobile suit.

If it was Amuro with the RX-78-2 or G3, I think he would be pretty quickly overwhelmed. The Chimera corps. consists of 31 pilots in cutting-edge mobile suits.

No matter how powerful of a Newtype you are, 31 of the best of the best of Zeon's pilots is still a hell of a challenge. I think the Alex evens the scales a bit, but not by much. The extra armor would allow him to survive longer and maybe get a few more kills but I think Amuro's going down swinging.

One of my favouritist things to come out of High-Streamer is the concept that Amuro Ray does Not Think she's a newtype and is generally pretty sceptical that they exist at all. Literally everyone she interacts with is like 'oh my god is that the newtype pilot from the One Year War' and Amuro's like 'I am not a newtype' and everyone always laughs it off like she's joking but she isn't.

Being seen as a newtype by the federation got Amuro put under house arrest for 7 years and then when she joined the military again it kept her in low-level positions where she couldn't inact any valuable change. Being a newtype allowed her to form the deepest human connection possible with another person and then she accidentally killed her and Amuro's response to that is to pretend it never happened- that she was hallucinating- and not think too hard about it.

Precognisance? That's just me understanding warfare. Insight into people's emotions? I'm just good at reading faces. Psycommu? Anyone can use it.

FASCINATED by this concept. Genuinely like it a whole lot. Really contradicts Char's feelings on the Whole of Everything and I do enjoy when they foil.
