Tips and Pointers for crafting a Winning Resume
Recruiters are reporting larger quantities of poorly written resumes than ever before, despite the great amount of resources available on the subject. If you are looking to make a positive impact and encourage interviews, consider the following important tips to crafting killer resumes.
1. Format Your Resume Carefully and “Do the Hiring Managers” Work for Them
No matter how cunningly crafted your resume will not be read in depth during the first cut. You must consider that your resume will receive only about 25 seconds and make the scanning process as easy as you possibly can. If your resume is more than two-pages long, hard to read or not well-organized, the scanning process will be that much harder.
Here are some things you can do to make scanning easier.
–           Apply logical formats, clear headings, wide margins and an easy to read font.
–           Use Boldface and Italic typefaces to guide the reader’s eye to important points.
–           Use bullets to present other key points in a list, accomplishments for example.
2. Identify Accomplishments not Just Job Descriptions
Hiring managers, and those in technical fields more than any other will be looking for candidates who can provide solutions and satisfy specific needs. Therefore, you will grab attention if you can show how you have done this in the past. Include a list of specific solutions you have provided to solve specific needs.
–           Consider the difference between expressing what you did in a specific position as opposed to what your work was.
–           Include a line or two of your job description and then some of the accomplishments you made.
–           For each of these points express the benefit you provided in each situation.
–           Accomplishments should be things attained by your direct involvement not what others did.
–           Avoid using generic descriptions of the jobs or positions you have held.
3: What’s the most common mistake on resumes?
A: Making general and vague claims and using extensive industry lingo that does not clearly market the candidate. Think of a resume as a marketing document selling a prospective employee on the value of your professional contributions.
Therefore you should:
–           Draw attention to specific achievements that paint a descriptive portrayal of your marketability.
–           As much as possible quantify your achievements in terms the hiring manager can appreciate. Think percentages, growth rates, and numbers of employees and, of course, dollars.
–           You can do this by asking yourself, what would have happened had I not done X? That is the value of your accomplishment.
4. Cater Your Resume for the Industry
Some industries like design and advertising professional will want to include plenty of creativity when assembling a resume. But this same level of creative license is not extended to those in the mechanical engineering field and anything but clear and crisp format will be quickly placed in the “no-call-back” pile.
So, check and re-check your resume to ensure that it has been properly suited to the industry it will be addressing. Make sure there are no errors, the typeface is clear and the format impeccable. Here are some great tips on how to make your job application look professional
5. Replace your Objective with a “Career Summary”
Career Summary is a spot where you are supposed to provide a description of your professional personality and direction. Most of these begin to meld into the same insipid spiels like, “seeking new challenges in X position where my skills of A,B and C can be used to increasing profit margins”
Don’t underestimate the importance of catching your potential employer’s eye with something original that expresses how you will be a major asset to the goals and direction of the company.
6. Network. Network. Network.
For unemployed candidates, your resume crafting and distributions should be a full-time job. In today’s professional field, the vast majority of mid-level to senior-level positions will be filled through networking. This means you need to be making strong connections with everyone around you who is in a position to share insights.

Tips to Make the Right Career Move
Tips to Make the Right Career Move
It’s not unusual to become bored or tired of working in the same place year after year. It may lead you in another direction career-wise when this happens. This is when you’ll want to take some time and find the right move.
How can you make sure that you’ll be making the right choice in your new career? Before you make any major decisions, you’ll want to know these 7 easy to follow tips for considering your next career choice.
1. Prepare Emotionally And Practically
Before you make any major decisions, you’ll want to be emotionally prepared. Maybe you just had a bad day at the office or you’re just burned out and need to take a break. Are you committed to changing the direction of your career? Will you be able to apply for a new job and accept the terms that are offered? Give it some serious thought.
2. Consider Your Goals
Take the time to evaluate your goals. This is a critical step that many people don’t consider when they seek a new job.
● What type of job are you seeking? ● What are your skills and experience? ● What interests you? ● What do you feel that you identify with?
When you have the answers to these questions you’ll be able to identify what you’re looking for to a job recruiter or potential employers.
3. Research
Now that you’ve identified what you’re looking for, you can determine what organizations fit your needs and desires. This can help you to fine-tune your resume to match your job-seeking goals. You can further evaluate your skills and goals.
Research the job market and determine what jobs interest you. Sign up with a recruitment agency and fill out the evaluations that will help you to evaluate what you’re seeking so that you’ll have a more in-depth idea of what you’re looking for. Read market updates and salary information on the jobs that you’re interested in. Sign-up for all job alerts that may be of interest to you and check back often.
4. Networking
Check your connections. Do you know someone who works there? This allows you to tap into the hidden job market. It gives you the inside track. Many jobs aren’t advertised outside of the company. The more networking you do, the more likely you are to get the job of your dreams. Everyone knows someone. Whether it’s past, present, or potential future co-workers you know someone that knows about a job that is going to become available. Get the word out. Attend events, use sites like LinkedIn to expand your portfolio and social circle.
5. Continue Learning
Read the news. Read everything you can get your hands on in the industry of interest. The more you know the more you become valuable.
There’s always something to learn and as Dr. Seuss said, “The more you read, the more you’ll know. The more you learn, the further you’ll go.”.
Make learning something that you do daily. Stay up on the industry news and make your competitors worry because you’re up to date and they’re not.
6. Take Your Time On Your CV
Of course, this is only common sense, however, many people don’t take the time to do it right. A good CV shows off your skills and can give a potential employer the information that may make or break the opportunity for you to get hired. Tailor your CV for each and every job that you apply for and exclude irrelevant information from your resume. Show off those skills and why a potential employer should pick you out of the candidate pool. Sell yourself by giving the right information on your CV.
7. Consider Interim Jobs
If you’re not sure where to go, consider an interim job until you know what you want. This could be an opportunity to learn something new. It could lead you to your dream job. Management positions offer you a valuable opportunity to know more about the company that you’re working for. They set you into a new environment and utilize other skill sets that may have not known you have. They also increase your skill sets and help you to improve your knowledge and lend your experience to a different company.

A Concise Guide to Getting Great Sleep
A Concise Guide to Getting Great Sleep
Better sleep can be easily achieved if you know what you’re doing and have a good insight into the process of how your body sleeps. Here are some tips to do so.
1. Establish a regular sleep and waking schedules.
Yes, that weekend sleep in can be absolutely wonderful, but think of the bigger picture. Experts say that irregular sleeping schedules can diminish the efficacy of our circadian rhythms. Better sleep the same 6 to 8 hours every night and improve the quality of your sleep.
2. Allow yourself to take a nap if you’re tired.
If you are feeling tired, take a good nap. This can be very beneficial to topping off your sleep-o-meter. But, never sleep for longer than 45 minutes and half-an-hour is actually best.
3. Adjust to a healthier lifestyle regarding your substance use.
Sleep experts all agree that drinking, smoking, stress and unhealthy diets all reduce the quality of sleep you enjoy. Consider some lifestyle changes.
4. Create a caffeine cut-off time
As your day gets closer to bedtime consider stopping all caffeine intake. According to the world’s sleep society, it takes a full 6 hours for caffeine to leave the body and this can hamper sleep habits. Remember that teas, sodas and chocolates can also contain caffeine.
5. Change up your bedtime snack.
A snack before bed is alright, but you will want to consider avoiding spicy and greasy foods as well as very sugary snacks.
6. Watch your workout routine.
It is important to exercise and regular physical activity can even help you sleep better. But, if your workout routines are too close to your bedtime, you may have a hard time getting to sleep.
7. Use comfortable, inviting bedding.
If your sheets are threadbare and the comforter no longer comforting, you should change them out. Moreover if your mattress is old and no longer supportive get a new one! Check out these Simmons Beautyrest reviews. Your bed is where you will spend almost a third of your life so take some time to improve your conditions.

Emigrating to Australia in 2020
Updated for 2020
Emigrate to Australia
Given the Global Political climate towards immigration as a whole, it is always surprising the Australian Government still has a very open door policy for individuals, families, and businesses seriously considering emigrating to Australia.
It won’t stay this way forever and leading think tanks predict sweeping changes to Australian Immigration over the next few short years as Australia starts to focus more on creating opportunities for Australians than for those thinking about emigrating to Australia.
Already some changes have started to happen with even the most in demand of occupation codes such as Nurses and Skilled Trades. Right now though, you too could seize the opportunity of a lifetime and emigrate to Australia because as one of the most dynamic and progressive economies in the World their population is still incredibly low in numbers when compared to most other developed nations.

In order to continue economic growth and the right development of society, Australia needs to attract and retain the right talent via its overseas emigration program.
Australia Immigration Visas
Australia offers several immigration pathway solutions for permanent residency, based squarely on economic demand. Highly skilled workers are still actively sought after in 2020 and an immigration points system is deployed to filter those looking to emigrate to Australia.
This is called the General Skilled Migration Program, although there are other visas besides Australian Skilled migration such as investor visas which we also cover in this article.

Some applicants choose to emigrate via an employer sponsored visa although these opportunities are some 83% fewer in 2020 than the past three years.

This means whilst Australia is open to immigration it’s only open to those who can demonstrate they have the skills currently in demand.

How Much Does it Cost to Live in Australia
Day to day living costs in Australia are comparable with most other developed countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States although, much like these other countries where you live in Australia impacts the financial bottom line of your monthly costs.
The major cities of Melbourne, Sydney and Perth will be among the most expensive for costs like housing leisure and food whilst more rural or suburban areas will tend to be cheaper.

No doubt property rentals will be the largest monthly expense yet do still expect much more ‘bang’ for your buck. Utilities are slightly cheaper, and fuel prices are definitely less than the UK, probably more comparable to the United States.
Do anticipate all in monthly living costs in Australia of around $2,700 and a single person income of around $50,000 AUD is probably needed to live comfortably in most areas of the country.
Emigrating to Australia is for many people a lifelong ambition, they’ve usually had the idea for many years never seeming to find the right time or set of life circumstances to make the step towards making their dreams and ambitions a reality.

Even now we’ve seen a marked increase in the number of red flagged occupations for Australia with lots of rumours about which occupations are next. *A red flagged occupation is one that’s been highlighted for possible removal from the Australia occupations in demand lists.
Secure Your Visa and Emigrate to Australia
It’s important we work closely with you to understand what kind of Australian visa you need because there’s lots to choose from covering work, residence, family and business migration. Our recommendation is to always attempt an application in the highest category of Australian Migration suitability.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
The best way to describe Australian Immigration is like a pyramid. At the very top of the Australian Visa pyramid sits the 189 visa. this being the most heavyweight visa in that it allows its holders to live and work anywhere in Australia from day one.
Closely behind the 189 and just one tier down is the 190 visa class, which still offers the same benefits and the 189 except that you’d be expected to live and work in a particular state for two years. After this time you are free to live and work anywhere in Australia just like the 189.
Don’t worry though, we often hear clients asking whether they get a choice of which State or Territory they get to reside in and the answer is yes, of course! You get to choose the State as much as they get to choose you, all subject to Australian Immigration criteria.
Check Your Eligibility with our Free Visa Assessment
We always undertake a very detailed case assessment and free consultation to examine your eligibility for the most appropriate type of Australia visa for your needs. We explain the process, answer any questions you have on the different Australian Immigration pathways and offer you our expert advice and recommendations.
Australia Migration Process, apply to emigrate to Australia
Every year the Australian Department of Home Affairs issue over 190,000 skilled visas (Permanent Residence) from around 500,000 applications. For every one of those 500,000 applications there are another ten in the pipeline still preparing their case so that’s 5,000,000 people at any one time getting their documents in order.
If we go even further there’s another 10 people for everyone in the process who are seriously considering whether or not they should start their emigration to Australia project so that’s a huge 50,000,000 (50 million) globally considering whether or not it’s the right time to be immigrating to Australia.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
That’s a huge number, almost twice the current population of Australia!
For many people emigrating to Australia remains an elusive dream that’s never realized. Don’t be one of them. Take our online visa assessment today for a personalized assessment of your visa chances, costs, charges and everything you need to know unique to your own individual circumstances.

We do need to be clear though, it’s not all rosy and emigrating to Australia can often go wrong without the right planning. Securing visa is only the start and Lets Go Global are pleased to be able to assist with shipping, jobs, accommodation, bank accounts and of course the unique circumstances involving moving to Australia with children.
Is Emigration to Australia Worth It?
This is a very personal question and the answer depends as much on your circumstances immediately prior to your emigration to Australia as it does on what it is you’re actually searching for down under.
Over the years we must’ve carried out almost 100,000 free consultations with people from all over the World looking for a better life and dreaming of a successful emigration to Australia.
We find that clients from Europe cite motivating factors such as better work / life balance, more time with the family, the great outdoors lifestyle and the weather. Conversely clients from South Africa may fear for their own safety and feel that by lodging an emigration to Australia application they’ll be better protecting their loved ones.
There are many articles about people who’ve returned from Australia although in reality this is driven by homesickness and many eventually find themselves going back again at a later date although this can prove challenging because the resident return visahas some caveats that need to be satisfied before Australia Immigration will even entertain the request.

Check out how old is too old for Australian Immigration Do you score 65 points on the Skilled Migration Points test? Does your partner fit the criteria above even if you don’t? Have you previously been a permanent resident of Australia? Do you have a job offer in Australia? Would you be prepared to live and work in regional Australia? Are you married to or in a relationship with an Australian Citizen? Are you in a same sex relationship with an Australian? Have you considered studying in Australia?

Calculate Australian Emigration Points
Any successful skilled migration requires the applicant to demonstrate 65 points on the Australian Points System Matrix
Emigrate to Australia Age Points Age 18 – 24 = 25 points Age 25 – 32 = 30 points Age 33 – 39 = 25 points Age 40 – 44 = 15 points
Those aged 45 or over are no longer eligible to move to Australia under the skilled migration stream. Older applicants may be eligible to secure an employer sponsored TSS visa although this visa will always remain temporary. A TSS Employer Sponsored Visa cannot be converted to Permanent Residency after an applicant exceeds the maximum age limit of 45.
Emigrate to Australia Points for Marital Status Australia award points based on Marital Status, with 10 points awarded to single applicants (without a spouse or partner
Points for STEM Qualifications Australia Award 10 points for qualifications in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths
Emigrate to Australia Points System for Qualifications PHD = 20 points Degree = 15 points Trade Qualification = 10 points
Australian Emigration Points for Work Experience 3 to 5 years experience in the last 10 years = 5 points 5 to 8 years experience in the last 10 years = 10 points 8 years + experience in the last 10 years = 15 points
Emigration points for work experience are calculated as the number of years post qualification experience. For example, an Accountant will be able to claim work experience points for every year of work after achieving Chartered Accountant status.
The only exception to the work experience post qualification rule is trades such as electricians, welders, carpenters, plumbers and mechanics because for those in the skilled trades, time spent during training can count towards overall work experience points.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Emigrate to Australia Points for English Language Good = 20 points Medium = 10 points Basic = 0 points
Emigrate to Australia Points for Partners English Language If you have a partner who has at least an average English test mark then you’ll gain an extra 5 points on the emigrate to Australia matrix.
Holding a passport from an English speaking country does not ‘prove’ English ability from a points perspective. There are no English points added for being a citizen of any particular country and these points can only be added after taking an approved English exam such as IELTS or the Cambridge English test.
Emigrate to Australia Points for 190 State Nomination The 190 State Nomination Visa brings with it an extra 5 points at time of invitation to apply.
Australia award 15 points for the 491 Regional Visa
Partner Skills Points to Emigrate to Australia If your partner has a skills set on either the MLTSSL or the STSOL then provided they are aged under 45 they too can complete a skills assessment for Australia. Remember, if the lead applicant is scoring enough points in their own right there’s no absolute requirement for a Partner Skills Assessment. If however you’re coming up short for immigration points a Partner Skills Assessment can add a further 10 to your overall total.
Confused? Don’t be, simply take our online visa assessment and let us do the hard work in working out the very best and most viable Australian Immigration Pathway for you as the first step in making your emigration to Australia dreams come true.
How do I go about emigrating to Australia in 2020?
Emigrating to Australia on the Skilled Migration stream:
Skilled Migration is by far the most popular route for emigrating to Australia as it gives the holder and their partners or families Permanent resident status from the very start.
Permanent Residency is much the same as Citizenship and is actually designed to lead to Citizenship or Dual Nationality after four years.
Only one member of a couple need to secure the Australian Permanent residency Visa and all the rights and privileges that come with PR are automatically applied to partners and family units.
vimeo
Top Ten Benefits of Australian Permanent Residency
1. Only one lead applicant needed 2. PR leads to full citizenship or dual nationality after four years 3. You are free to enter and leave Australia without needing any further visas 4. Australian Permanent Residents can access financial services in the same way as full citizens 5. Holders of Australian Permanent Residency can apply for mortgages 6. New Australian Permanent residents have a clean credit history 7. Children can access education without financial contribution 8. Medicare is available to all Australian permanent residents 9. Two years after emigrating to Australia Permanent residents can sponsor other family members 10. Australian Permanent Residents can be eligible for a Residents Return Visa if they have to leave for an extended period
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Check Your Eligibility with our Free Visa Assessment
Under the Skilled Migration program most applicants will end up emigrating to Australia on either a 189 or 190 visa class with the rest ending up on the 491.
Some would say these visas are the most sought after visas in the Southern Hemisphere and we’d be inclined to agree. No other country apart from Canada has the same type of visa program to attract applicants with the corrects skills into the country. Receiving a 189, 190 or 491 visa is a privilege many never achieve without the right guidance, support and motivation.
How long does an Australian Skilled Migration Visa take?
Officially we have to say that your application (once submitted via the Expression of Interest platform) can take anything up to two years.
However, getting your application ready for the EOI system takes around six to eight months depending on how quickly you can source the required documentation to support and prove your occupation and secure your all-important positive skills assessment.
Usually, we find clients are called forward for their Permanent Residency Visas within six to nine months of being submitted into the Expression of Interest program.
Check Your Eligibility with our Free Visa Assessment
Remember not to submit an expression of interest without having first received a positive skills assessment as this will lead to your application being rendered invalid and in the worst case scenario could be viewed as migration fraud, with serious time penalties being applied before you can resubmit your application.
What is a Skills Assessment for Emigrating to Australia?
Many potential applicants seriously considering emigrating to Australia have never even heard of the skills assessment. It’s easy to get caught up in working out the technicalities of Australian Immigration policy and for many, it simply never figures on the radar.
Securing a positive skills assessment is the first stage in any Australian emigration project and it requires that your occupation experience and related qualifications be benchmarked against a number of pre-determined factors. Essentially the skills assessment board is looking to see that your skills and education for your nominated occupation at least match those that an Australian Citizen in a similar role would possess.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Every occupation on the Australian in demand list has its own Skills Assessment body and applicants from all over the world must first identify which skills assessment body is the right one, and follow their documentation rules to the letter. There is little or no option for those unwilling or unable to satisfy the requirements of the Skills Assessment boards.
Emigration to Australia 2019
Skills Assessments usually take between eight and twenty weeks depending on assessment body and cost between $400 and $1800 AUD. Some skills assessments cost significantly more especially if you’re a Doctor or Lawyer but on the whole, the above guidelines apply, with skilled trades such as electricians being around $1800 AUD and Nurses or Teachers being less than $1000 AUD.

What are the rules for emigrating to Australia under the skilled visa class?
In general there are many rules, procedures and regulations that will be specific to each individual’s application although as a starting point these are the three golden rules for emigrating to Australia on the 189, 190 or 491 visa class:
1. Be aged under 45. Remember that it takes at least a year from start to finish for the whole process and your age is taken at the end of the process and not before.
2. Score 65 points on the Australian Immigration points matrix. It can be tricky to accurately compile your total points so do contact us for a full assessment, there are many ways to give yourself a points boost and whilst these aren’t in any way secret, they are often overlooked by those calculating their own points.

If you can identify an occupation on this list then you’re part of the way there although lots of other caveats apply it’s still a great feeling to know that your occupation is in high demand in Australia.
I have 65 Points and an Occupation on the MLTSSL or STSOL List, what’s the first step if i’m emigrating to Australia
Because in this instance we’re looking at the 189 and 190 Permanent Residency Visa Class of skilled migration to Australia then, with a minimum of 65 points and an occupation on either the Medium Long Term Strategic Skills List or the Short Term Skilled occupation List the first step step, as detailed above (scroll up if you missed it) is to secure a positive skills assessment.
Expression of Interest to Emigrate to Australia
With a positive skills assessment secured, it’s now time to lodge the all-important Expression of Interest directly with the Australian Department of Home Affairs EOI Portal which can be found here
Most individuals and families emigrating to Australia are familiar with the phrase ‘EOI’ or ‘Expression of Interest System’. Essentially it’s a fancy way of describing a large database of canditates all looking to emigrate to Australia form every corner of the World. All these other candidates are competing for the same permanent residency visa allocations so it’s important to make your application as strong as possible.
Even if IELTS wasn’t required as part if skills assessment we recommend that you sit the exam at this stage, for any extra points will always boost your total.
At the end of the EOI you’ll find out your total points and the Visas you’re eligible to apply for. In reality though, whilst it may show the 189 and the 190 you’ll likely have to make individual and unique applications to every State or Territory from whom you would wish to secure a Nomination.
Western Australia State Nomination Requirements South Australia State Nomination Program Northern Territory State Nomination Requirements New South Wales Program Queensland State Skilled Migration
Be prepared! Each of these individual State or Territory applications is a full and standalone Australian immigration process and you’ll be required to make financial declarations backed up with certified proof. Each individual Australian State or Territory also wants to find out ‘why’ you are choosing their State.

How long will I wait at Expression of Interest stage before I can secure my visa and start actually emigrating to Australia?
It can take between a few days and two years to receive an invitation to apply for a 189 visa. On average it takes between three to nine months for those who tick the right boxes in terms of having both high points and occupations in more demand than others.
Australia has set ‘invitation rounds’ which are designated dates each month when invitations are issued. Currently, there is only one invitation round on either the 10th / 11th / 12th of the month.
190 state nominations don’t fall subject to the invitation round requirements and can happen at any time.
Emigrating to Australia after receiving an Invitation to Apply
Once an invitation to apply is received and accepted no further changes can be made to the EOI and your age and occupation are ‘locked in’. This means even if your age then tips over the 45 years threshold or your occupation is removed from the list your application witll continue regardless of these immigration changes or milestones.
Think of receiving an invitation to apply to emigrate to Australia as approval in principle. From this stage you need to supply another mountain of paperwork along with Police Checks and Medicals.
How much does a good Australian migration agent cost?
We’ve seen various pricing levels around the world but as a general rule between $3,000 and $6,000 AUD are the benchmarks for a Skilled Migration Visa. Charges in excess of this are common and we would caution against paying anything less than this to any agent. Prices are set for a reason and every case takes a considerable amount of time, effort and resources.
How much money am I required to bring as landing money when I enter Australia for the first time?
You are not required to have any specific ‘show money’ amount although to have a reasonably comfortable “transition” experience the more the better. Here at Lets Go Global, we recommend at least three to six months expenses in liquid form i.e. cash or card.
We have loans and debts, does this impact our application for emigrating to Australia? What would happen if we leave these debts behind? Also will it affect our credit rating in Australia or cause any trouble getting a mortgage once we get there?
Your credit rating is not checked for your migration application so it will not negatively impact your Australian visa application. Your credit score starts over in Australia and even with previous bankruptcy it shouldn’t pose too much of an issue.
After Government fees for the visa, what other costs are there after receiving permanent residency via Skilled migration?
Medicals, police checks & postage should bring the Australian Skilled Migration costs and charges to an end.

Emigrating to Australia as a Spouse or Partner of an Australia Citizen?
This is one of the loveliest visa types we get to assist with! In today’s world, an ever increasing number of individuals are finding love across international boundaries. Some are already married to Australian Citizens, some are in a serious relationship and others are engaged to be married.
In all instances the process is very long, arduous, complicated and frustrating although Lets Go Global have a 100% success rate with these visa types.
Emigrate to Australia on a Partner Visa
When looking at emigrating to Australia on a Partner Visa its important to remember the Golden Rules:
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
1. We need to prove the relationship if you’re not married. This means we need to supply evidence such as messages, emails, photos, airline ticket stubs, sworn statements from family and friends and joint finances in terms of bank statements. We also need to prove that you’ve been cohabiting for at least a year or evidence and document the reasons why you haven’t. This list is by no means exhaustive but if you don’t keep a scrapbook or memories box then you’ll need to work hard from now.
Why so much information? Well, we’re looking to demonstrate through evidence that you are jointly dependent on each other emotionally, physically and financially.
2. Marriage and Engagement is always more straightforward providing (and we hate to say this) the relationship is genuine.
3. Immigration are increasingly monitoring Social Media accounts from applicants in this category.
Emigrating to Australia in a same sex relationship
Let’s Go Global are pleased to work with LGBTQI clients and those in same sex relationships as both defacto and same sex marriage are both recognized and are weighted the same as heterosexual relationships with zero discrimination during the immigration process.
Investor Visas and emigrating to Australia to start a business
We find most people get confused about emigrating to Australia on an investor visa. Property prices across the world have increased so significantly in the past decade that many people can hit the criteria for an investor visa.
However, these visas are aimed at true investors and you’ll be expected to document and prove your investment history in either equity, debt, businesses, private equity or funds portfolio.
Three Tiers of Australian Immigration Investor Visas The Australia Investor Visa has three tiers, each with a corresponding set of benefits.
The entry-level Investor Visa for Australia is known as the Investor Stream and requires the holder to make a designated investment of $1.5million AUD into Australia. In return for this investment holders are entitled to live and work in Australia for a period of up to four years on a Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) Visa; also known as subclass 188. After two years (and provided the holder has complied with all requirements) clients can then apply for full Permanent residency and eventual Citizenship via the subclass 888 visa.
The investor visa stream ($1.5millionAUD) requires an element of State nomination whilst the next stage visa below can be nominated by State or territory or directly by the Australian Government via Austrade
Emigrating to Australia on a mid-range investor visa, called the Significant Investor Visa will require you to invest at least $5million AUD into designated investments and in return holders of this visa are awarded the same rights and privileges as the Investor Visa but are allowed to convert their Visa to full Australian permanent residency after two years.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
The top tier Australia Investment Visa is known as the Premium Investor Visa and requires a designated investment of $15million AUD. This is of course the best visa for those wishing to kick start their emigration to Australia as it affords the holder the right to convert their initial temporary visa into full Permanent Residency after only 12 months. Put simply, a $15million AUD investment effectively buys your Permanent Residency and Citizenship in Australia.
Finally, the Entrepreneur Visa for Australia is sometimes more relevant and brings the same benefits as all the 188 visa classes although qualification criteria is very stringent and requires a demonstrable funding agreement from a third party (such as but not limited to a private equity or seed capital agreement for at least $200,000AUD. Holders must be nominated by a State or Territory and the visa lasts for an initial four years, convertible into Permanent residency after two years.
Emigrating to Australia on a Resident Return Visa
You may have heard the term ‘Flip Flop Migration’ and it’s nothing to do with choice of footwear… A flip flop migrant is one who emigrates to Australia and then returns to their home country a while later.
These same people then often emigrate to Australia a second time and use the Resident Return Visa to do so. However, as you would expect with anything to do with Australian Immigration, it has some caveats that need to be satisfied before Australia will even entertain a resident return visa application.
The main criteria is that you lived in Australia for two years on Permanent Residency before leaving for an extended period of time. You’ll still need to state why you left for such a long period and if you didn’t live in Australia as a Permanent resident for a cumulative period of two years then you’ll need to specify and document the reasons for this. Some reasons will be valid whilst some will lead to your visa being refused. If in doubt contact us by taking our online visa assessment for further information.
Emigrating to Australia with a job offer
The new Australian employer sponsored visa is also known as the Temporary Skills Shortage Visa (TSS Visa) and was designed to bring some much needed stability to the employer sponsored visa system by limiting the amount of people converting from a work visa into Permanent Residency.
vimeo
LGG World from Let's Go! Global on Vimeo.
Can I Convert A TSS Visa into Permanent Residency? Yes, if an occupation is on the MLTSSL then your TSS Visa can convert into Permanent residency after three years. If an occupation is on the STSOL only then this can never convert into Permanent Residency.
What is the Age Limit For Emigrating to Australia on a TSS Visa?
There is no age limit for a TSS Visa.
What is the Age Limit For Converting a TSS Visa to Permanent Residency? Its possible to convert a TSSvisa over into full Permanent Residency status providing the applicant is aged under 45 at the time of conversion
What if my Occupation drops off the MLTSSL List while I’m on a TSS visa? Can I still apply for Permanent Residency? Yes, any occupation changes are locked in and protected from further amendment when your TSS visa is granted.
What are the Downsides when Emigrating to Australia on a TSS Visa?
There are many pitfalls to be wary of when looking at the TSS visa as a way to Emigrate to Australia. Many applicants end up falling foul of oppressive TSS visa conditions which ultimately see their emigration plans placed into severe jeopardy, usually once they’re actually in Australia.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Here at Lets Go Global we always recommend if your end goal is emigrating to Australia then avoid the TSS route, especially of you’re emigrating to Australia with a family.
If you’re serious about emigrating to Australia the 189 and the 190 visa class affords the most sought after rights and privileges to you and your family and best of all, no one apart from yourselves have any say over your stay in Australia. You’re not in anyone’s pocket and no employer can threaten your visa status.
Whilst emigrating to Australia on a TSS Visa seems like the ideal options there are many pitfalls to take into consideration.
At first glance TSS visas can seem like they’re:
-Cheaper than a permanent residency visa pathway -Quicker than securing a PR visa -At first glance applicants can experience security thinking they have a job to go to on arrival -Paid flights and accommodation can’t be bad, can it?
Cheaper than an Australian permanent residency visa pathway? A TSS visa can delay your costs in the short term, though you never own the right to control your own destiny. Your visa is owned by your employer and they ‘own’ your destiny in Australia.
If for whatever reason the employment doesn’t work out you only have 90 days to find another employer before you risk being an overstayer.
If you do end up converting the visa and emigrating to Australia permanently then these same visa costs will catch up eventually. So with a TSS visa you’re simply kicking the cost into the long grass and placing yourself at the mercy of an employer in the meantime.
Quicker than securing a PR visa? There is no time saving by having a TSS Visa as applicants still need to go through the Skills Assessment process.
Ask yourself if it’s such a great role!
Australian Employers must be able to prove the role has been advertised for six months and that no Australian resident is willing or able to be appointed.
Unless therefore a role is highly skilled or specialized then perhaps it isn’t that great…
Emigrating to Australia on a ‘Golden Ticket’
Golden Ticket emigration to Australia is a thing of the past. True costs of flights and accommodation are almost always deducted from an employees package and the accommodation provided is often very sub standard.
You Must Pay For Education on a TSS Visa Only those with full Permanent residency receive access to free education for children. Everyone else must pay a fee which varies between $3,000 and $18,000 per individual State and Territory.
Restrictions on Property Ownership with a TSS Visa Unless you’re emigrating to Australia on a 189 or 190 visa you’ll be subject to the Foreign Investment Review Board rules while on your TSS or temporary visa. This means you’ll be restricted from purchasing property or end up paying exponentially more for it.

Do I need a job offer when emigrating to Australia under the Skilled Migration program?
Those going for the 189 Visa do not need a job offer though most start the recruitment process at the same time as lodging their expression of interest.
Those on the 190 Visa sometimes need a job offer for territories such as Western Australia and a few others based on local State requirements as opposed to General Government Legislation. This news often comes as a shock to potential applicants as Western Australia for example requires you to secure your job offer within 30 days for receiving your offer.
For more information on whether you need a job offer when emigrating to Australia contact us today by taking an online visa assessment, we’d be delighted to assist. Remember, all our emigrating to Australia initial consultations are free of charge.

Education in Australia for Children
Once you emigrate to Australia on skilled migration you’ll also receive education for your little people free of any contribution up until the age of 18, and the public school system in Australia is excellent. Private and International Schools in Australia are also available, many with World Class facilities.
At the lower end of the scale, private school tuition costs around AU$16,000 per year, rising to around $50,000 AUD per year for the top schools, much in line with most other countries.
We help many families emigrate to Australia and one of the most common questions we receive from parents and children alike is, What is a typical school day in Australia?
Every parent wants their little people to be as prepared as possible for their new Australian school start and everyone is curious as to what might be different and exciting about school in Australia.
The school year in Australia starts at the end of January instead of She traditional September start found in many other parts of the World.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
When looking at education in Australia every school is a little different however there are many similarities that most Australian schools share:
Australian school students start school between 8.30 and 9am depending on the school. Children wake up and have breakfast at home before school. Very few schools have breakfast able to be purchased on premises, nearly all students have breakfast at home.
Australian schools have set times in the morning during which children are allowed to arrive. The Australian school system is designed for students to attend school near to their house whenever possible. In most areas, this will mean that many students are within a couple of kilometres of their school. If you have chosen a private school to attend then you might be further from your school, in a public school in most areas it will mean you are not too far away.
Many students at school in Australia simply walk to and from classes. Younger students might walk with their parents, neighbours or with older students, older students will walk by themselves or with friends from their street. Others will ride their bicycle. If you are riding you bike to school you will need to be wearing a bike helmet, which are compulsory in Australia whenever you are riding your bicycle.
Some schools have “early morning care” which is a child care service for parents who have to start work earlier than school drop off time. This is a separate service that parents must apply for and pay for, usually on a set regular basis. Each before school child care service is different but most start from 7am to provide care for working parents and shift workers. These services offer breakfast, before school games, sometimes some sports will be played and will ensure your child is at school at the correct time. These facilities are usually inside the school grounds which makes this process all the more convenient.

Electricians Wanted In Australia
Electricians Wanted In Australia First published in 2016 this article was updated in 2017, 2018 and now for 2019.
As long as you have your NVQ III / City & Guilds equivalent, the South African (if that’s where you’re from) Red Seal or North American and European equivalents you are an electrician wanted in Australia.
By being one of the select electricians wanted in Australia you are among the top level of potential skilled migrants looking to emigrate and, provided we can assess your skills, you have a great chance of being able to live and work in Australia without restriction on a 189 or 190 Permanent Residency Visa.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Sponsored electrician jobs in Australia Some electricians wanted in Australia are able to secure TSS employer sponsored visasalthough these are certainly not as popular as they once were.
They are no longer as popular mainly due to the increased hurdles an employer has to jump over to sponsor an electrician to Australia in 2019. These days an electrical employer must turn over their tax returns, have advertised the electricians job for a considerable period of time and sometimes even lodge an amount of money for your eventual repatriation in addition to making a specified investment into the Australian ‘Skilling’ Fund.
Australia electrician jobs We find that most electrical employers will ask for your visas to be granted first before they’ll offer you the electrician job in Australia.
Finding Australia electrician jobs after your Skills Assessment and Australia Visa tends to be an easy process. People just like you, with differing backgrounds, skills and experience are all electricians wanted in Australia. Our internal electrician jobs service will start work on your behalf before we are even halfway through the immigration procedures.
Electrician work in Australia Making speculative job applications for electricial work in Australia before you’ve started the process is usually a fruitless and pointless task. Most potential employers will look at your skills and say ‘great, what visa do you have?’
For an example of the most recent electrician jobs in Australia check out our up to date job board. It’s important to note that electrician jobs in Australia for UK citizens are the same opportunities as electrician jobs in Australia for foreigners so it’s very important that you a) realize there is competition from all over the world and b) make sure you search for both during your online research.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
As you can see given the amount of regulation surrounding employer sponsored visas in 2017 / 2018 it is unlikely you’ll find an employer sponsored job as an electrician. If you do, it’s rare they will pay for flights and accommodation.
And this isn’t a bad thing! Here’s why…
On an employer sponsored visa you are always ‘temporary’. This means that should your employment not work out you only have 60 days to find another electrician sponsor or risk being classed as an over stayer. Additionally, if you are moving with a family you will likely have to make a significant contribution to healthcare and education for your children.
In most instances you will still need to do an electrician skills assessment for your TSS visa to get your OTSR and eventual A Grade license.
Permanent residency Visas are by far the most appealing option for Electricians wanted in Australia.
They take a lot more effort but the rewards come back tenfold. Let’s Go! Global have a specialist electrical account manager whose role is to secure your Australia Visa and your Electrical License in Australia.
We have a % success rate with the electricians we work with and leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of your migration. After all, with electricians wanted in Australia we have the flexibility to push forwards with the application until it results in a successful outcome for you and your family.
vimeo
As an electrician on permanent residency your visa is as permanent as you want to make it. PR lasts initially for five years and during that time if you spend four years in Australia you can apply for a Dual Passport. If you don’t spend four years in country it is possible to extend your PR status for a further 5 years leading to Citizenship and Dual Nationality in this time.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Most importantly though, you remain in control of your own Australian destiny and are not tied to an employer in any way, shape or form. If a job doesn’t work out you are free to leave and find other work. And after your Australian A Grade electrical license is granted you will be free to set up your own business or go self employed as a contractor.
Examples of Electricians Wanted in Australia for Emigration Domestic electrician Commercial electrician Industrial electrician Offshore electrician Electrical technician Electrical engineer
Australia Electrician Salary electrician in Australia wages are strong and continue to be driven by supply and demand factors i.e. your job is still on the MLTSSL Australian ‘in demand’ list representing a shortage of electricians in Australia with the right skills.
Yes, we see many people complaining about life in Australia as an electrician although we very much doubt they went through the right process to get there. In all likelihood they’ll be working as unqualified electricians even though they may technically have all their certificates from their home country.
If an electrician moves to Australia without a Skills Assessment and Offshore Technical Skills Record they’ll find it hard to secure their eventual A Grade License down under.
The average salary for an electrician in Australia varies from State to State and we find that typically Perth in Western Australia offers the best wages for electricians although the following States employ the most skilled electrical tradies:
New South Wales: 32.2% Queensland: 19.7% Victoria: 12.1%
Electricians featured heavily in our recent Australia Tradies earnings list with Western Australia Electricians pulling in around $98 an hour on average. Victoria electricians coin around $88 per hour also which is still an increase for many. It’s also important to remember that these are average rates including the earnings of trainees and unqualified electricians.
Australia Electrical Training All electricians wanted in Australia initially emigrate on a Provisional Electrical License which we will secure based on your Skills Assessment and OTSR Certificate. When you eventually move to Australia we will help you get quickly established to work towards your A Grade Certificate.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
This Certificate requires that you complete modules for the Australian Context and whilst for some people it can take up to a year the majority fly through the required stages and have it granted in a far quicker timeframe.
For more information about emigrating as one of Let’s Go! Global electricians wanted in Australia take our free visa assessment as the first stage for a no nonsense explanation of your eligibility and the process, complete with anticipated costs and timeframes.

Same Sex Australia Visa
Same Sex Australia Visa
Obviously here at Lets Go Global we’re totally biased towards Australia being a superb place to live and work.
However, whilst this lovely Continent can be so progressive in many amazing ways, there are still aspects of society and Government that can, at times, be disappointingly backwards.
We were thrilled then, to see Australia finally vote to sanction same sex marriage in a long overdue move in November 2017. We remain unsure as to quite why it warranted a referendum although with a 79.5% turnout and 61.6% vote in favor the matter was been unequivocally concluded.
Whilst the legislation has yet to be enshrined into Law we expect this to happen certainly before the end of 2017 and the partner and skilled migrating experts at Lets Go Global are already examining the impact on our current and future same sex couples Immigrating to Australia on either temporary or Permanent Australia visas.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
As soon as the legislation is enshrined into law then Australian Immigration will have to follow suit and we look forward to seeing the benefits this is going to bring for same sex couples moving to Australia.
Prior to the vote recognizing same sex marriage in Australia couples migrating permanently had only two options; the De facto Same Sex Partner Visa Australia and Independent Skilled Migration based on the non-Australian partner being able to secure their own Permanent Residency visa.
However, this is clearly set to change for the better in a matter of weeks with more same sex Australia visa pathways coming online.
Same Sex Australia Visa Pathways
De facto same sex Australia Visa The De facto same sex Australia visa is often referred to as the same sex Australian partner visa although they remain one and the same.
Same sex couples pursuing the de facto relationship visa need to demonstrate beyond all reasonable doubt that they’ve been in a de facto relationship with an Australian Citizen or eligible Permanent Resident for at least one calendar year prior to date of application.
In terms of Australian Immigration a couple is classed as being in a same sex relationship if: They are not married to each other Are not related to each other Have a genuine shared commitment to a joint life at the exclusion of others They are in a genuine and continuing relationship They are cohabiting or do not live apart on a permanent basis.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Of course there are sometimes genuine reasons why a couple can’t or don’t cohabit and this can be taken into account provided the separation is temporary, and the couple have lived together at some point since the start of the relationship.
Do bear in mind though, that same sex partners who don’t live together will be required to provide much more evidence in support of their same sex de facto visa application.
If you’re currently in Australia and looking to apply for a same sex partner visa there are certain ways around the 12 month rule depending on where the Australian half of your partnership is based.
Certain States and Territories such as Queensland, Victoria and ACT allow same sex couples to formally register their relationship. Should you be able to register your same sex relationship in one of these States then only one eligible partner needs to have resided in the State for six months.
Applicants will be required to produce the following evidence for a same sex Australian Partner Visa
1. documented and signed history of the relationship showing how it stared and evolved. 2. details of how the couple support each other financially, emotionally and physically 3. the couple’s future plans for the relationship 4. joint financial aspects of the relationship 5. joint tenancy agreements, title deeds or mortgage statements 6. joint bills and liabilities 7. correspondence addressed to the couple at the address 8. roles and responsibilities around any children in the household 9. invitations received or issued as couple 10. social media 11. holidays and ticket stubs 12. sworn statements by family and friends of the couple 13. any mention of each other in wills
Migrating to Australia with a same sex partner via Skilled Migration
Prior to the referendum recognizing same sex marriage in Australia the only route for same sex couples looking to emigrate was the de facto visa outlined above.
However, many same sex couples were unable to satisfy all the criteria for the partner visa and in this instance the only option would have been skilled migration by the non-Australian partner independently of their relationship on either a 189, 190 visa (among other temporary visa pathways).
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Same sex migration to Australia on a Prospective Marriage Visa
As soon as same sex marriage legislation is passed into law then the Prospective Marriage Visa becomes a viable pathway solution to many couples.
The prospective marriage visa is an initial temporary visa class designed to lead to a full spouse visa after marriage. It’s available to people outside Australia who intend to marry their Australian partner within nine months of entering Australia.
It will be available to those over 18 that have met their Australian partner in person since they both turned 18 and obviously they should be known to their sponsor with no legal impediment to the forthcoming marriage.
Same Sex Spouse Partner Visa As soon as same sex marriage is written into the statute books in Australia then spouse visas also become a reality. Those married in Australia on a Prospective marriage visa will obviously qualify although crucially, by recognizing same sex marriage in Australia then formal marriage in other countries must be recognized by default.
The same sex spouse visa will be very similar to the de facto partner visa in that it;s valid for an initial two years allowing you to live and work in Australia without restriction. After this initial two year period you’ll be able to apply for full permanent residency as long as the relationship is ongoing.
Same Sex Spouse Partner Visa Two Year Exclusions There are instances where the initial two year temporary visa can be forgone and full Permanent Residency can be granted from day one.
If you’ve been in the relationship with your spouse for at least five years at the time of application or You’ve been in a relationship for two years where there are dependent children of the relationship
You will be eligible for Permanent Residency from day one.
If you’re in a relationship and seriously considering applying for a same sex Australia Visa take our online assessment today for more information.

Once we’ve identified that you have the right skills and qualifications to Immigrate to Australia from the United States using your occupation code we then need to make sure we hit the minimum points based criteria for making the move.
How Many Points Do I Need to Move to Australia from the United States
The Australian Immigration points system is made up of a number of factors, and you’ll need to identify a minimum of 65 points to make a successful permanent residency application.
In order to accurately confirm your eligibility to move to Australia from the United States we invite you to speak directly with one of our experts in your occupation code.
Take our free visa assessment and one of our consultants will be in touch within 24 hrs to schedule your initial free consultation.
How to move to Australia from the United States: Stage Two
Now that you’ve identified a desirable occupation along with 65 Australian Immigration points the fun really begins (!).
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
At this stage we need to secure what is known as a positive Skills Assessment.
A skills assessment is not a test per se (although it is for Electricians and some skilled trades), it refers to a third party body, tied to the Australian Department of Home Affairs whose role is to say that you are who you say you are, that you have the right skills, experience and qualifications to move under your occupation code.
Every skills assessment body is different with their own set of criteria and this is often the most challenging aspect of making a successful Permanent residency application.
Let’s Go! Global have a number of occupation specialists in place who really understand the nuances of each and every occupation on the list.
Rest assured, they can talk your professional language and interpret the rules and guidelines in order to match your skills and experience to the required standards.
Expression of Interest to Move to Australia from the United States: Stage Three
After (and only after) securing a positive skills assessment can we move forward and make what is known as an ‘expression of interest’ or ‘EOI’.
At this stage we are indicating to the Australian Government your intention to move to Australia from the United States.
Move to Australia from the United States: Stage Four
From this EOI your application is then selected to formally apply for your Australian Permanent Residency Visa, at which point we must liaise extensively with the Department of Immigration.
Once your Australian PR Visa has been granted you’ll usually have up to 12 months to activate your visa, which is done by simply passing through Australia’s borders, be it for a holiday, interviews or your emigration.
vimeo
How long does it take to move to Australia from the United States?
When you move to Australia from the United States the first visa on a skilled migration stream will usually be classed as Permanent Residency, affording you many of the same rights and privileges as an Australian Citizen. After four years living in country we can then convert your PR status to full Australian Citizenship and Dual Nationality.
Because your PR status can ultimately lead to full Citizenship the whole process can take a while from start to finish and whilst we must say officially that it can take up to two years, we find that having a one year timeframe is usually sufficient planning.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
If I Move to Australia from the United States can I keep my Citizenship?
Generally speaking yes, Australia places no restrictions on dual nationality. Some US Citizens renounce their American Citizenship when they receive Australian Passports, leading to greater financial freedom away from the increasingly global reach of the IRS.
If you are seriously considering a move to Australia simply take our online visa assessment for a free in depth consultation with one of our experts.

Take our Free Quick Assessment to assess your chances of successfully migrating to Australia as a Nurse
The current Lets Go Global internal record for a Nurse Emigrating to Australia to receive a formal invitation to apply was three days after submitting an Expression of Interest.
Obviously this was due to a number of external factors such as Australian Immigration points, experience, specialization, occupation ceiling caps and the Immigration algorithm.
Nursing in Australia
Many thousands of qualified nurses make the move to Australia for a variety of reasons, the most popular of which being that Australia has one of the best healthcare services in the World. Would then, a nurse salary Australia differ between those employed in the Public or Private Sector as with nursing salaries elsewhere in the World?
The Australian approach to medicine is to mix state and private care in a system of universal medical cover, called Medicare which means the differences then between public and private nursing salaries in Australia are not as significant as in other countries such as the UK, USA and Canada.
Quality of healthcare aside however, the other main reason nurses from all over the World migrate to Australia is for the Nursing Salary. As highlighted above the average salary for Nurses is among one of the highest in the Country in terms of technical health professions.
In addition to having one of the best healthcare systems in the World with consistently good salaries for Nurses Australia is also a draw from those in the medical and nursing professions for myriad other personal reasons ranging from weather, lifestyle, work life balance, exposure to new techniques, world class CPD, promotion prospects and even, occasionally, for the potential of love.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
What’s required then, when moving to Australia to secure a nurses salary?
By far the most popular way for nurses to move to Australia from all over the World is through the Skilled Migration program. The increased nurses salary in Australia is directly indicative of their general place around the top of the most sought after occupations in Australian Immigration.
In order to transfer your nursing skills to Australia through migration on a Permanent Residency Visa you’ll first need to make sure of your overall eligibility to emigrate and secure a Skills Assessment from ANMAC (Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council).
After you’ve secured a positive Skills Assessment you’ll be required to submit an Expression of Interest to the Department of Immigration.
As well as submitting your Expression of Interest it’s now the time to prepare your AHPRA application to become a registered Nurse in Australia.
From this point its over to the Dept. of Immigration to call you forward and invite you to formally apply for the final stage in the process, your permanent residency 189 or 190 subclass.
After receiving your invitation to apply the Australian Government fees fall due, and afterwards a huge amount of documents are required in addition to your Police Checks and Medical assessments.

Age Limit To Emigrate To Australia in 2019
Age limit to Emigrate to Australia
This article has been updated for 2019
Some of the most common questions about Australian Immigration are around age limits to emigrate to Australia
What is the age limit to emigrate to Australia
The age limit to Emigrate to Australia is 45 years old. If you are aged over 45 the only way to emigrate permanently is by investment or marriage.
I too old to immigrate to Australia
If you are near to being aged 45 years it will be difficult to emigrate to Australia. The process takes a minimum one year from start to finish and your age is taken at the end of the process and not the start.
Put simply, if you are considering emigrating to Australia in 2019 time is never on your side!
We always recommend the process be started as soon as eligibility to emigrate is established. Remember, there is an age limit to emigrate to Australia and the rules are applied without exception in all cases.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Am I Too Old To Emigrate To Australia?
The answer is you’re unlikely to ever be too old to emigrate to Australia, although for the most popular visa routes it becomes increasingly difficult the older you get and Skilled Visas stop at 45.
Let’s Go! Global have extensive experience in preparing successful skilled visa applications for clients aged between 40 and 45 years old. Take our free assessment today to enquire about visa opportunities that are right for you if you are within this age range.
vimeo
Am I too old for a 189 visa?
The age limit for the 189 Visa class is 45. This is a hard and fast rule with no exceptions, and whilst you can immigrate on this class of Permanent Residency up until the 45 years cut off point remember that at age 40 you will only be scoring 15 age points.
One factor often overlooked is that age is taken at the end of the process when you are called forward from SkillSelect for your visa and not at the date you begin the process.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Officially you should allow up to two years for this process to complete although in reality it can happen much sooner depending on a number of factors such as points score and occupation.
Why is the age limit for Immigrating to Australia set at 45
The most recent set of changes came into force on the 1st July 2017 and reduced the maximum age for immigrating to Australia on the Skilled Migration 189, 190 and 489 streams to 45 years of age where it was previously 50.
Am I too old for a 190 visa?
45 years old is the cut off point for the 190 Permanent Residency visa class.
I’m between 40 and 44 years and don’t have enough points for Australia
There are plenty of ways in which to boost your overall points total; one way is to take the IELTS exam. IELTS is an English test (and if English is your first language you’ll have a distinct advantage). Scoring above average on IELTS with give you a boost of 10 points whilst scoring even higher will give you an extra 20 points on your SkillSelect expression of interest.
To put it into perspective 20 points is the same number awarded to holders of a PHD and IELTS is certainly far easier than writing a thesis!
Applying for a 190 visa over the 189 subclass will give your application a further 5 extra points and it is always useful to consider the 489 visa class which will add 10 points to your application. We have a handy guide for calculating your emigration points.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Employer Sponsored Visa Over 45
There is still an age limit to emigrate to Australia in this visa category and it isn’t possible except in some very exclusive niche education and research occupations. The general criteria for immigrating to Australia on a TSS employer sponsored visa is that you must a) have an occupation on one of the current Skilled Occupation lists and b) be under 45 years old; the age limit to emigrate to Australia.
Emigrate to Australia Over 45
With the above age limit to emigrate to Australia it is still possible, although you must consider different visa pathway solutions and at this stage it’s important to note the increased costs and challenges associated with emigrating to Australia over 45.
Whilst we hear regularly that ‘50 is the new 60’ Australian Immigration has yet to catch up! Attempting the migration process is going to require significant amounts of resolve, determination and will require you to be open to different methods of moving to Australia.
Immigrating to Australia Over 45
If one of your children has emigrated to Australia and holds either Permanent Residency (2 years) or Australian Citizenship you can apply for a Parent Visa as long as you pass the all-important balance of family test.
Australia Balance of Family Test This test is designed to show that the ‘balance’ of your children live in Australia, so for example:
One child, immigrated to Australia over two years ago: Pass the balance of family test Two children, one emigrated the other didn’t: Pass the balance of family test Three children, one emigrated two didn’t: Fail the balance of family test
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
If your family are estranged the balance of family test still applies.
If you have remarried and your new partner has children you would be unlikely to pass the balance of family test because all children (even from previous relationships) are counted.
Parent Visa for Australia
Provided you pass the balance of family test you may be able to apply for the Contributory Parent Visa Class, although note here the associated costs which are significant. The visa is completed relatively quickly although you will require around $40,000 AUD each. For further details on Contributory Parent Visas take our free visa assessment or head over the Department of Home Affairs.
The non-Contributory parent visa is significantly cheaper although not a recommended route as it can take over a decade to receive your visas.
New Parent Visas to Australia in 2019
After much debate 2019 will finally see the implementation of a new class of parent visas, lasting either three or five years and prices at $5,000 AUD and $10,000 AUD respectively. These parent visas will be renewable once, for a further five years at $5,000, giving a total stay in Australia of fifteen years for a fee of $15,000.
The demand for this visa is expected to be extremely high so if you are seriously considering this visa type do take our free visa assessment today so we can work out your eligibility with a free consultation.
These new initiatives for 2019 are part of the Australian Governments ongoing migration policy adaptations.
Australia Retirement Visa There is no longer an Australian Retirement Visa.
Study in Australia aged over 45
This route is still an open pathway to stay in Australia. Either one or both of you can elect to undertake a period of Study in Australia during which time the other is free to live and work without restriction. The student visa holder can also work part time and during holidays if they choose.
After the student visa has finished, this can (depending on the original course) be switched for a Post Study Work Visa which is valid for an extra two years.
Investment Visa Australia for over 45 and Business Visas
This is always an option providing you are actually an Investor with a track record in business or investments (simply selling your home won’t class you as an investor). The investment required is high, and your funds must remain committed for a long period of time.
Can I Start a Company and Sponsor Myself The Dept. of Immigration noticed a spike in these types of visa applications and moved quickly to close the loophole rendering this pathway defunct.
2019 sees the launch of a new and innovative visa from South Australia designed to attract bright entrepreneurs to set up their new businesses in the State. Industry and Skills Minister David Pisoni said the scheme is expected to attract up to 30 entrepreneurs in its first year and 100 the following year.
He said the program will focus less on the finances of the applicant.
“Importantly, unlike previous visa classes in this area, the new visa arrangement does not require applicants to demonstrate a minimum funding of AU$200,000 for approval,” he said.
“The success of their application will ultimately rest upon the quality of their startup and idea, and the soundness of their business plan.”
For specialist advice on how you fit within or around the age limit to emigrate to Australia start by taking our fee online visa assessment. We don’t charge for our initial consultations and they give us a way of assessing your case against existing immigration legislation, and to examine different move to Australia pathways with you.

Emigrate to Australia as a Carpenter in 2019
First published in 2016 this article has been dusted down to cover all aspects to emigrating to Australia as a Carpenter in 2019

As a Carpenter or Joiner you’re in the very top tier of skills in demand down under and providing you can meet the criteria to emigrate you stand a good chance of securing a Permanent Residency Visa on either a 189 or 190 subclass.
As a quick guide in order to Emigrate to Australia as a Carpenter or Joiner in 2019 you’ll need to be able to score at least 65 points on the Australian Immigration Points test and also go through the Skills Assessment process for Carpenters or Joiners.
Calculate Your Points to Emigrate to Australia as a Carpenter

Carpenter Jobs in Australia & Jobs in Australia for Joiners
Carpenters and joiners migrating to Australia have good, solid employment prospects provided they’ve tackled the immigration process in the right way. You are currently in demand by employers right across Australia with an average potential of around $83 AUD an hour.
The best time to start the initial carpenter Australia job search is after your OTSR at the same time we lodge your Expression of Interest. This gives plenty of time to familiarize yourself with doing Skype and phone based interviews and to practice your interview skills with an Australian twist.
In the current climate it is unlikely that carpenters or joiners will receive the golden ticket of an employer sponsored TSS visa whilst being based offshore (i.e. currently in a country other than Australia).
If you’re a carpenter or joiner with a criminal record you may still have options to emigrate to Australia.
We can offer the best advice as to how to proceed with your Australia Visa application although we do need you to be completely transparent from the start. Remember, we work for you, not for Immigration and everything you tell us is covered by our rigorous client confidentiality.

How Hard Is It To Move To Australia in 2019
How hard is it to move to Australia Difficulty is estimated at 8/10 for most visa applicants
First Published in 2016 this article has been updated for 2019 / 2020 Australia Immigration Season
A frequently asked question online is ‘how hard is it to move to Australia’. We figure it’s more a general question asked by people seriously considering immigrating to Australia in the near future.
At Let’s Go! Global we pride ourselves in our straight talking yet friendly approach to client communication so we’re going to give it to you straight up.
If you’re an American looking to emigrate to Australia check our Australian Immigration Guide For United States Citizens
Is it hard to move to Australia?
Yes, it can be hard, it can be complex, it can be frustrating and it can be emotional. Over 70% of people attempting the Australian Immigration process themselves either give up, or fail.
Unfortunately failure often results in a time delay penalty meaning you are prevented from lodging a further Australian Immigration application for a period of time. Within this imposed penalty timeframe your occupation could drop off the Occupation Lists rendering you unsuitable for migration. If you are approaching a critical age you may well lose crucial Australian migration points while you wait out your penalty.
When is the best time to emigrate to Australia
We must also consider timing. Moving to Australia is by no means guaranteed. It is not about you choosing to immigrate to Australia, it’s about Australia choosing you! There is no free for all, no open door policy and the ultimate decision to grant your Visa rests with the Australian Department of Immigration. You have no sway or control over your allocated caseworker.
Our recommendation is to start the visa application process as soon as you have confirmed your eligibility to emigrate. We cannot emphasize this enough; if you are lucky enough to be eligible to emigrate to Australia you must start the application process now.
How hard is it to move to Australia with no qualifications Straight talking answer? Unless you have significant experience in your occupation, profession or Skilled Trade it is virtually impossible to move to Australia with no qualifications unless you happen to be the partner of an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and emigrate on an Australian Partner Visa.
Alternatively you could be a former resident looking to return again to live in Australia Permanently although if this is the case you need to act fast in lodging your Resident Return Visa.
How hard is it to move to Australia over 50? Most Australia Visa subclasses close when you reach your 45th Birthday. You will have to look at other routes such as studying in Australia. There are no exceptions to this rule when looking at Skilled Migration and there is no Australia Retirement Visa. There is however the Australia Investor Visa to consider.
What’s the hardest part about moving to Australia Making the decision to emigrate to Australia is the easy part and who wouldn’t want to emigrate to one of the most liveable and desirable places on the planet! The hard part starts with your Skills Assessment.
Skills Assessment is the first stage in your Australian Immigration application and the first roadblock ahead of your ultimate successful application. You cannot move onto the next stage of your visa application without first having your skills assessed by a third-party Australian entity specialised in your occupation code. For many it is not a test, rather a technical and complex bundle of paperwork designed to substantiate every single aspect of your career and occupation to date.
To the uninitiated a ‘skills assessment’ sounds straightforward, after all, you’ve been in your occupation for years right?
Wrong. Skills Assessment is one of the most technically baffling process you will undertake. It is achievable with the right patience and tenacity although the frustrating thing is that Australian Skills Assessment authorities give very little bespoke advice and guideline over and above their published instructions.
Remember, in Australia Skills Assessment authorities are profit making entities, when you fail a Skills Assessment they make even more money by your reassessment.
Is it hard to do an Expression of Interest for Australia We rank the expression of interest difficulty at 7/10
Once you’ve received your successful Skills Assessment it’s time to complete your Expression of Interest (“EOI”). Your EOI is designed to present you and your skills to the Australian Government. Both the Government and individual States and Territories will then assess the standard of your EOI against all the other candidates in the pool.
If your application is completed correctly and in the best way you could be selected to make a formal application for a Permanent Visa or your application may languish in the EOI pool for anything up to 2 years.
Don’t be tempted to artificially increase your Australian Immigration points here. You will be uncovered at the next stage and your application will be disqualified.
How hard is an Australian Visa application By the final stage of your application you will be an ‘old hand’ at the complexities of Australian Migration! The next stage including Police Checks, Medicals and yet more documentation should be relatively straightforward. This is actually the easiest part of the moving to Australia process!
Let’s Go Global Have a 100% Success Rate and amazing Reviews with Most Occupation Codes Classes and retain regulated MARA agents for your peace of mind and protection.

Accounting Immigration 2019
Accounting Immigration 2019
Originally published in 2016 this article has been updated in 2017, 2018 and now to be relevant in 2019
There is still demand from the Australian Immigration 2019 program for Chartered Financial and Management Accountants.
It’s not an easy process and the Accountant Occupation Code has been repeatedly flagged for removal from the Skilled Occupations List.
The Accounting Immigration 2019 codes are red flagged for removal due to myriad contributing factors:
Competition is high for Accountants moving to Australia under any of the Permanent Residency Immigration Visas.
Combine this with a recent strong accounting immigration program over the past few years, as well as a slight drop in domestic demand and the reasons for the Accountant 2019 Red Flag become evident.
It is difficult to state with any degree of certainty how long the Accountant Code will remain on the Skilled Occupations List so if you’re a Chartered Financial or Management Accountant seriously considering immigrating to Australia our best practice advice is to start the migration process immediately.
Take Our Quick Visa Assessment For More Information & To Check Your Eligibility
The occupation has been under review for some time and should it disappear from the SOL it is unlikely we’ll see its re-inclusion anytime soon. Make no mistake, once the occupation is removed immigration for Accountants to Australia will be highly unlikely and require many more convoluted, expensive and time consuming migration pathways.
Accounting Immigration 2019
Even though the future of Accounting Immigration 2019 to Australia appears to be bleak it’s not all doom and gloom. There are still Accountants being granted 189 and 190 Permanent Residency Visas and we do see this trend continuing.
We will need to work both quickly and efficiently on your behalf and prioritize your case through to Skills Assessment and beyond. A good case will usually take a year from start to finish although if we expedite this with your full support we can have your Permanent Residency Visas granted in six to eight months from the moment we engage (often sooner).
Take Our Quick Visa Assessment For More Information & To Check Your Eligibility
Demand is still strong for both the 189 and 190 Visa classes, with Accountants being called forward for their visas every few weeks.

Is ACCA Recognized in Australia
Yes, of course. The ACCA is one of the most recognizable qualifications globally and holders of the ACCA and in fact all Chartered Financial Accountancy Examinations are recognized in Australia and for migration purposes.
Is CIMA Recognized in Australia
Yes, holders of the full Chartered Institute of Management Accounting Qualification are eligible to use this Certificate to immigrate to Australia. Candidates must have passed the Professional levels of CIMA and hold Chartered Status.
Accountant Immigration Australia 2019 without a Degree
If you don’t have an undergraduate Bachelor degree you’ll be awarded this status by the Accountant Skills Assessment body once they’ve reviewed all your paperwork. International qualifications such as CIMA and ACCA are accepted Worldwide as being beyond undergraduate degree status so it makes sense that those who hold Chartered Status can be ‘technically’ awarded a degree for Australian Immigration purposes.
With no undergraduate degree and Chartered status you’ll be awarded degree status for Migration which gives you an extra 15 points on your overall Immigration Points total.
Accountants Immigration Points Requirement
Accounting Australia is one of the very few specific occupation codes where the Australian Department of Immigration has made a public statement that the overall points requirement is far and above the 65 point minimum for Immigration generally.
Accountants immigrating to Australia 2019 are unlikely to be called forward out of the Expression of Interest pool unless they’re scoring a total in excess of 65 points.
Australia Immigration Requirement for Accountants 2019
Competition for Accounting Immigration places is fierce right across Australia in 2019, with many States placing extra caveats on Migration. Western Australia for example is very keen to attract Qualified Accountants via the 190 Visa class although stipulates that, before the visa can be granted a potential applicant must secure a firm written job offer. Sounds easy? Remember, you’ve only got 28 days in which to secure this employment after notification. Needless to say this is quite an undertaking!
Other States have less caveats in place though, so when thinking about the 190 Visa class it’s important to keep your options as wide as possible, encompassing as many States in Australia as you feel comfortable with.
Australia Points Requirement for Accountants Whereas most occupations and applicants must score a minimum of 60 points, the Dept. of Immigration has publicly stated that it’s highly unlikely for an Accountant to be called forward from Expression of Interest stage unless they have a minimum of 65 points on the Migration Points System.
There are a number of ways in which Accountants can increase their overall points score. Please take our online visa assessment for more information. It’ll really help us if you can be as full as possible on your answers so we can make best use of your consultation.
Accountant Immigration 2019 Skills Assessment As well as scoring a minimum of 65 points everyone immigrating under an Accountant code will need to secure a positive Skills Assessment.
Don’t panic! This isn’t a test of your Accountancy skills, you will have done enough exams in your life not to have to take one for Australian Immigration.
As part of your Accounting Skills Assessment you will however be required to take an English test.
English Language Requirement Whilst there is no requirement to take a formal Accountancy exam for your migration you do need to take an English test. If English is your first language you may find this a little odd, although if you’re from a part of the World which doesn’t use English as ‘lingua franca’ you’ll no doubt be used to these type of tests.
Whilst sitting an English test may not be everyone’s first choice for an afternoon of fun, it does come with some serious and significant immigration benefits. For example, should you score ‘above average’ in your English test you’ll be awarded an extra 10 immigration points towards the 65 needed for Accountants. We find that most Chartered Accountants return a score of ‘Superior English’ for which they’re awarded 20 extra Australian Immigration points towards the 65 they need.
IELTS or Cambridge English Exam for Australia Immigration As an Accountant you must either take the IELTS Academic test or the Cambridge English Advanced test. We have a dedicated test tutor who we can call upon should you feel the need for some extra tuition although we do find our Accountants score highly in this element of their Skills Assessment.
We find that Accountant clients tend to score better on the Cambridge Advanced English test rather than IELTS Academic although do take a look at some past papers and choose the one that feels best suited to your own English skills and abilities.

Expression of Interest for Accountants Australia It is vitally important that you list out all of your relevant experience and qualifications in your EOI. We are looking to maximize points at this stage, and with it, your visa options. The status of Accounting Immigration 2019 means we need to build out the very best ‘competition-busting’ EOI.
If you score 60 for a 189 Visa then you will be scoring 65 for a 190 visa class
If you score 60 for a 190 visa then you’ll be looking at the 489 because the points boost will take you to the all-important 65 migration point level.
EOI Invitation for Accountants Australia 2019 Accounting Applicants are selected from the EOI pool regularly with invitation rounds happening every month. Do allow at least a few months for your application to gather traction although if you are scoring 65 points for either the 189, 190 or 489 visa classes we would expect a relatively quick EOI Invitation.
Accounting Immigration 2019 Australia Occupation Ceiling Limits Occupational Ceiling limits impact the overall points score required by Accountants Immigrating to Australia and the higher the ceiling limit the lower the resulting points score required for an invitation to apply.
2018 saw some major fluctuations in ceiling limits for hopeful accountants planning on emigrating down under and at one point Skills Select reported an 89% increase in the limit. However, this was then later readjusted downwards again.
Accounting Jobs in Australia Our dedicated Accounting Australia specialists will work closely with you during the immigration process. Our current advice is to wait until you at least have a positive Skills Assessment before embarking on the Accounting Job search in Australia. As soon as this assessment has been marked successful and your EOI lodged the job search needs to begin in earnest, especially given that Western Australia requires a firm written offer of employment before a 190 WA State Sponsored Visa can be issued.
Australian Immigration for Accountants is not without its challenges. Australia has been a very popular destination for Accounting Skilled Migration over the years and based on traditional supply and demand principles the competition for spaces has increased exponentially. Even a few years ago it would be unheard of for an occupation to be singled out for a higher points score than the rest of the Australian Immigration program, but with the 65 point minimum now in place for Accountants it fast became a reality.
With the red flag firmly in place for Accounting Immigration 2019 for Australia we have no doubt that the occupation will eventually close to new immigration applications and remain closed for potentially many, many years.
We have a 100% success rate with Australian Immigration for Accountants and will work with you to expedite the process as much as possible. We are still taking on new Accountant clients and expect to do so at least until the end of 2019, at which point we will review our policy in line with legislation and due process.
