Religious belief:  Doesn’t really believe in anything. Sins:  lust / greed / gluttony / sloth / pride / envy / wrath Virtues: chastity / charity / diligence / humility / kindness / patience / justice Primary goals in life: Travel the world and take odd bounty hunter jobs, but really he wants to get his lover back and stop running into her clones. Languages known: English other than that pretty much guesses at other people’s languages. Secrets: Sol was one of the first scientist to work on the Gear project along with two other partners in which it all went wrong and he became the very first Gear to be created. Other Gears call him ‘Father’. Quirks:  Very afloof and lazy about every thing he does. Savvies: Looks lazy but can easily outsmart anyone who tries to outsmart him.

Height: 5′9″ Weight: 158lbs Scars/birthmarks: He has his Gear mark hidden under his head band but other than that he has no other known scars. Abilities/powers:  Sol is stated to be a genius practitioner of Magic Arts outside of his natural flame magic. This is evidenced by his creation of the Sacred Treasures, each being a powerful magical amplification device imbued with a different element and having a special quality. Restrictions:  Sol does have a time limit on how long he can use his Gear powers, leaving him a little weak after words but still able to fight.

“Oh, but I have explained about what it would do, help enhance the magiteks, the empire has been having problems, haven’t they? You need to learn how to take some help without complaining.” The empire was in dire need of help, it was falling apart and they hoped to become as big as an empire as Solheim was before them? Ah, dreams would remain dreams if they couldn’t finish off this project. It may take some sick measures, but it would be worth it in the end, right? When their empire is thriving rather than falling.

And it would all be thanks to Ardyn. The man who suggested such sick acts to enhance the magitek, it could be done however, he was sure of it.

“Am I so?” It was more than just luck that made Verstael like Ardyn, it was his ideas mostly, the once kind man overwhelmed by the knowledge Ardyn had given to him, this man didn’t trust him? Well, Ardyn wouldn’t blame him, he was, even if an annoyance to Ardyn for most part, a smart man to not trust so easily… the rest of Niflheim on the other hand however, they were much too naive. Ardyn was able to work his web around him easily, making them his to command. “I do hope through time you’ll begin to trust me, Frederick.”

Shit, guy had a point. The economy wasn’t doing as well due to the climate that was for sure and making these soldiers would help with winning the war against the Lucians but at what price? These new borns would have to suffer at the hands of foreign people killing them left and right, it just wasn’t fair and didn’t seem right from the beginning, but thanks to Fredrick being the only PHD they could find in Niflhiem, it made sense for him to stay.

Still....everything felt off the moment this Ardyn guy walked into the picture. Nothing seemed right about him.

Fredrick wanted to make that clear to Verstael but he was having none of it, which in turn only made him even more frustrated with the whole project.
