And uh, close the door, would ya? “ Placing both his feet flat to the ground, he scoots up to his desk, straightening out his back, resting his elbows atop the desk, lacing his fingers together. She’s gotten his curiosity sparked. Since when did they allow employees’ wives on the premises? Either way, something about this may spell trouble.         “ I don’t know if I have an answer for your questions,               but I’ll give it a shot. What’s goin’ on? “

   She had followed the steps they had given the moment she stopped hearing from him. Calls were left unreturned, or were answered with recited protocol.

 Lisa supposes it is pure LUCK that has gotten her so far, something she takes into account as she shuts the door behind her, crossing the space between them to take a seat on the other side of the desk. She had to give herself a bit of credit at least – a few false documents, a pretty smile, and harmless WHITE LIES got her to this man’s door. Now all she needed to do was make sure she GOT OUT as easily as she got in.

     The CASUAL tone in his voice is one that catches her off guard, brows raising for a brief moment. He was not exactly what she pictured when she thought of Murkoff executives - though she should not be surprised. Lisa lingers in the doorway, hesitating. 

           “ I was told to speak with you, your assistant told me you were free.               My name is Lisa Park, I just had a few questions.”

Miles Upshur

     The response is not entirely what he’d been anticipating. It’s enough to turn the cheap smile into a jaw-clenching frown as the reality of it sets in – Miles has been coasting by on the promise of revenge, struggling to face each day with only the notion that he’d end every last soul responsible for Mount Massive (the whistleblower included) to fuel him, and the asshole had never even brought up his name. Park stole his life, his sanity, the remnants of his livelihood, even his goddamn car, and not once had he mentioned the recipient of that fucking email to his beloved wife.

     “Oh, I’ve got something important for him alright, but it’s nothing you can relay. I want to talk to him myself. See, he owes me for something, and he has to pay up in person. I’ve been trying to settle this for ages, and I just fucking want–” his head on a fucking pike. Stop. Breathe. If she can get a message to him, it means she knows where he is. Or at least how to contact him. There’s still a chance he can get to Waylon through Lisa, but giving in to baser instincts won’t do him any good. Miles tamps down the frothing anger as best he can, schooling his features back into a more impassive mask. Maybe if he explains himself, she’ll have a little sympathy and will cough up the information he so desperately needs.

     “How much do you known about Mount Massive?” he asks tightly, remaining fingers curling into tense fists at his sides. “About what your husband did to get himself committed?”

     “Did he tell you about the email?”

Her own jaw clenches, posture stiffening as Miles speaks. What was passive annoyance quickly changes to CAUTIOUS LISTENING, weight shifting foot as eyes narrow on his features, quick glances at his posture. Waylon had told her once there was a chance of this, of someone out for blood finding their way to her doorstep. A part of her warned to take a forgiving side, she knew little of what happened up on the mountain, only that it CHANGED WAYLON. Still, cheeks flush and quick words are peppered with quick gestures, arms uncrossing as she speaks.

“One. I get it. There was some fucked-up shit that happened up there, but I’m going to have to ask you to watch your tone, Mr. Upshur. I am not going to have you standing here threatening my family.” Common sense tells her she is an idiot for thinking she can go toe-to-toe with whoever the Hell he is. Empathy works better than aggression, but if her track record had anything to say, it was that she erred on the side of RECKLESSNESS.

“There was a lot of NDA’s he signed when he got the job at Murkoff.” Sharp tone softens - if only just so. Murkoff had taken a lot from them, and from what it seemed, it had taken more from the man searching for her husband “Can I trust you not to go postal if I let you in the house? He’s not here now, if that’s what you’re wondering.”

Fallout: NV

  -  There is little doubt in my mind that Lisa would be allied with the FOLLOWERS OF THE        APOCALYPSE.  She would be one of the many Followers tasked with education in the       Mojave Outpost, going out to local settlements in order to show them how to make the       best of the soil they have.  -  Originating from lands East of the Colorado, she is no stranger to the Legion. While they      have tempered the lands, their militant nature and use of slaves make the NCR the lesser      of two evils in her opinion.    -  Her primary weapon is an assault carbine, though she will use any weapon given to her.  -  Tentative Companion Perk ( Teacher’s Pet ): Magazines last twice as long and while      travelling, organic crafting sources ( plants, animals, etc) are highlighted upon zoom in.   -  Lisa would advise on the side of an Independent Vegas, without House or any other     outside influence.
