MCR UNIFORMS PT. 3 — WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ??

hello all!! i have another update for you on the mcr uniform buttons, but unfortunately i am kind of at a loss for a larger theory here. this is mostly going to be an infodump of things i’ve found.

the good news is… i’ve figured out gerard’s buttons! after much confusion as to if it was a chapel, guns, or a mystery object, a new clear photo confirmed that they are in fact CROWNS!!

this is the closest reference i can find. not that i believe the era of the crown matters for the lore, but it does appear to line up the closest with a tudor period crown. the interesting thing, however, is that crowns are used in ENGLISH military uniforms.

in part 2, i talked about how ray’s uniform had ties to european military attire, and this seems to potentially confirm it. i say “potentially” because it’s only 2/4 members. frank and mikey both have standard AMERICAN eagle prints on the buttons.

noticeably, though, it’s just the eagle. there are many variations of us eagle button crests as i searched, but none of them were JUST the eagle. this does appear to be referencing america in some way still, because the eagle’s head is pointed to the left, which is how it is always shown. something i find interesting about the actual american image, though, is what the eagle has in its talons. the olive branch on the left symbolizes peace, and the arrows on the right symbolize the country’s willingness to defend itself. we’ve already seen arrows in official black parade promo, whether it be in the flag of draag, or og album art with pepe shot in the back. (they both have 3 arrows in them, btw. JUST LIKE THE AMERICAN BUTTON.)

the olive branch substitute would be the wheat, obviously, and what does wheat symbolize? REBIRTH AND RESURRECTION. there might be something to say about both of the items in question being missing from the crest, but that is for later thought. my thoughts right now are… why are we using both distinctly american AND european military buttons?? the eagle is america’s whole symbol next to the stars and stripes, and they wouldn’t be caught DEAD using a crown in anything official because of the whole “no monarchs” thing. hence why it’s distinctly european.

i would say the buttons don’t matter like i’m analyzing them to and that’s it’s just an easter egg per member (i.e. ray having a lyre for a guitar/musician/medic reference and gerard having a crown because he’s the “leader”) but i’m stuck on frank and mikey. why are their buttons the SAME, then?? i’m convinced that these uniforms have deeper meaning, but i am just unsure of what exactly this information means.

overall, i have many loose thoughts that i cannot tie up into a perfect theory. but maybe someone else can go further with this info. best of luck

My "theories" about the lltbp are not really as interesting as going to the show and experiencing it firsthand as live music and theater to be honest. Speaking of I feel like maybe Frank saw him in another prophetic vision a few years ago and Ray said "oh that would be so cool in the show" so they put him on the swarm tour vending truck and forgot about him for a while and Gerard said "Actually I think a guy on fire running across the stage would really break up the piece a little bit. Striking, terrifying, absurd, and dreamlike at the same time." and Mikey knew a guy. And now we're free to experience the man on fire running across the stage during Mama any way we wish

Ya know what would be really fucking dope? If y'all could actually label whether or not the bags of chips use sunflower oil. Or even better yet, discontinue the shit all together. My fiancé is allergic to any sunflower byproducts, and it's always a bummer not being able to share chips with her (amongst many other foods)
