If you think about it, it's kind of hilarious that Mulder, an FBI agent just goes around telling people "yeah there are aliens but the government is hiding them." My brother in Christ you are the government.

one of my favorite things that the x-files does is when mulder and scully are apart, and one of them has these musings or inner monologues, and then it is revealed in the end that all those thoughts are actually addressed to the other.

like, OF COURSE, they're addressing each other even though they're not physically together. because who else are they supposed to tell those things to? they've been best friends since s01e03. it makes sense. shouldn't be that surprising, but, boy, does it hit so good every single time.
