Leviathan Myth will reopen soon!

It's been a long journey, but Leviathan Myth is coming back on March 31st!

What We've Been Up To For those not in the know, LM originally opened in 2008. It's changed hands a few times, but a large majority of the code has gone unaltered since then. As you can imagine, much of the site was horribly out of date. We had been slowly refactoring old code since taking over in 2018, but we weren't moving fast enough to outrun the phasing out of old versions of PHP. The site finally became too outdated to function, and we were forced to close it down and revamp the whole thing.

The bad news is, not much is going to seem different since all the work we've been doing has been in the back-end. The good news is, everything will be exactly where you've left it! All of your dragons, eggs, items, etc. will be in the exact same state as the day LM closed.

Not ready to return to the game yet? No problem! All existing accounts will be locked so you can simply login and unlock your account and dragons when you're ready to play.

Goodies for New and Returning Players Here's a few things we'll be doing to celebrate LM's return: 1. We will be sending out free items to those who were active on LM in the week prior to the shutdown. These will be sent out before the site is reopened. 2. We will also be sending out free items to anyone who logs on in the first week of the reopening. These will be sent out on April 7th. 3. Both seasonal dragon breeds (Skeletal and Mistletoe) will be available in the Dragon's Nest until May 1st. 4. All crown dragon breeds (Imperial, Quetzalcoatl, Wyvern, and Ryujin) will be discounted to 2 crowns instead of 3 until May 1st. 5. As scheduled, our April event will start on April 1st and run all month long. For those of you who are returning, you might notice we have some new riddles this year (courtesy of Omosky)!

Meet Nox, A skeletal dragon owned by Echo :) Skeletal dragons were available in the month of October, and have left the site the for year. This doesn’t mean you can’t get a cool seasonal dragon though, as we have Mistletoe dragons coming up next month!

Ice-cream Cones and Eggs

Here’s some news catch-up for you guys today! In July we release a cool new color to help with the heat. Say hello to Vanilla!

Also in July we made some changes to how eggs work. Now eggs no longer just disappear when they die, whether it be from lack of care or lack of heat. There is now a section in which eggs that have died go, where they will stay for 72 hours (three days) and can be revived for a fee. Reviving a dead egg resets it’s age to 0, and it’s temperature to 70.

In addition to this we’ve implemented a system to “abandon” you eggs, where you give them to Sephora to care for. Note, abandoning an egg does NOT send it to the dead eggs table, and cannot be undone.

Dragon of the week x2!

We’re back for dragon of the week! Minor change to the prizes for DOTW, due to how difficult it is to catch whale sharks the prize will now be the same % worth of food, but it may be multiple items!

The rng speaketh, and it spoke that both dragons are owned by the same person >_> So our dragons this week are cared for by Aze! The first is a thunder dragon that doesn’t have a name quite yet, but she’s still pretty!

And our second is a pretty water named Skype!

This week we have a couple of news items for you guys. On Tuesday we released a new marking called Tiger!  In addition to this we have BABY WATER DRAGONS! :D More baby breeds are on the way so stay tuned for your favorite!
