UT Fankids Week 2022

Ahhh potential comic spoilers I guess (and maybe future movie spoilers? Who knows, it’s only a theory based on the comics)

For the whole eyes glowing blue thing I have no fucking clue, it makes less sense the more I think about it.

but, Patrick Mulligan is the host for the Toxin symbiote in the comics, (the toxin symbiote being a biproduct of Carnage) and in the movie, Patrick mulli-my-eyes-glow-gan was just attacked by Carnage and lived. So I’m assuming mulligan is gonna use Fire to fight fire? (Not actual fire, symbiotes can’t stand it)

( I’m personally Still really sad that Lasher isn’t gonna be included, but I also understand that having the whole venom spawn crew would cost like 5 million dollars in cgi.)

(And Riot [Top middle] and Phage [Bottom right] have already been confirmed dead. And maybe Agony [Top right] might also be dead, so that leaves Lasher [Bottom left] and Scream [Top Left] leftover, then again this is in a movie universe, so these two just might not exist. Which leaves me with very little hope for the venom spawn crew, but who knows, maybe they’ll find a way, for the money.)

Okay okay okay so I just saw Venom: Let There Be Carnage- and I have a lot to say. 

This post will contain spoilers and so read at your own risk and/or delight. 

So. We have a fellow monster/alien fucker in the house- and her name is Francis. 

In the comics I remembered that Carnage was basically born due to having a taste of Eddie Brock’s blood- so that happened. Epic shit. 

Watching the break up scene was both wince inducing while also being hilarious. Both of them said and did a lot of things they regretted. The usual, “GET OUT OF MY HOUSE. GET. OUT. I’M DONE WITH YOU.” with the smashing of things. They were both being toxic to the other- and I think they needed to let it all out in one go. Was it the best way? No. But it made them later see eye to eye a bit better. They are a mirror of each other, after all. Truly a match. They still need to work on their relationship- even after the movie ends. It’s going to be a constant thing- for them to grow together. One thing I wish that had happened was after Venom tossed out Eddie’s new TV, and the man below had threatened to call the police- I desperately wanted Eddie to poke his head out and say, “I’m sorry… My uh.. Other and I are having a dispute.” But they aren’t there yet. I hope we eventually get there.

In addition, I will agree with Cletus on one thing- Eddie probably should have done a bit better on his journalism. Especially at supposedly being the word of the people and getting people’s stories out there. Yeah, he didn’t want people to sob over Cletus. But it was still important to showcase what abuse does to people. Not saying that, “Oh the people deserved to die.” Never. But abuse is not okay. No one just becomes a killer out of no where. Or at least, very very rarely. Anyways-

The cathedral scene will always be a huge standpoint for Eddie and Venom. The way they let Anne go- tears in their eyes as they let her fall into Dan’s arms. To how they fully accepted that they are a match- that Venom does not exist without either of them. They complete the other. 

That Dan and Anne now complete each other. 

Can we also talk about the scene where Eddie and Venom go to the beach together? With Venom saying that he loves Eddie- and how Eddie is struck for a moment. But he smiles. He is delighted to hear that…. Venom loves him. Venom doesn’t just deal with him. Venom doesn’t stick with him because they are the only match. Venom left and came back because… he truly loves him. Eddie obviously fears love after what happened- but he doesn’t fear Venom. 

I’ll be honest. When Venom said he has things kept form Eddie- I was desperate to hear Venom mention that he is going to spawn. That Sleeper was going to happen. But I guess that is too soon. 

One last thing. This is what I feel like is going to happen in the next movie with Venom. So, we saw that the cop’s eyes opened with bright blue eyes. I need to do a deep dive to see what this could mean. But he obviously wishes to fight monsters. This will set him up to gun for Venom- possibly not knowing that Eddie is a part of that ‘monster’. Shriek is most likely not dead. We did not see a body- and she would be a delightful character to come toward Venom with a vengeance. She loved Cletus- and Venom ate his head. She couldn’t have cared less if Venom just ate Carnage- but also her lover? That will come back to haunt the both of them. I am so excited to see what will happen next- especially since Peter Parker will be included in this! Can we please have Peter call Venom “Mr. Venom”? And more gay raves. I want Venom to drag Eddie to a gay rave/bar to meet his new friends. Also- hearing Carnage call Venom Father was weird- oop.

Bold of you to assume Fireheart is actually smart. The dudes cunning, but he’s average. Fireheart’s great at improvising, Greystripe swears that the dude could improvise himself out of a fire, however school smarts is mostly owned by Ravenpaw.

They commonly have study sessions, but Greystripe always manages to start some big conversation/argument about a certain topic. Video game antagonists, boss fights, sports, or just random stuff. And nobody ever puts them back on track. Ravenpaw is actually participates the most in the talks and arguements and has only lost once.

Greystripe would be really bad at school and fireheart would give him all the answers
