"Oh. You're not? Huh." Levi squinted at Beaumont as if the man was speaking an entirely different language and he was struggling to keep up. Sure, in this metaphor he was a tourist with a small pocket dictionary that helped him translate, but even then he wasn't doing a great job.
"We don't need to buy cars for photoshoots, but I want to. Why is there someone that tells me, the guy in charge, whether I'm allowed to spend our money?" He wafted his hands, huffing and pouting like a spoilt child being told he was getting nothing but socks for Christmas. "Either way, if that's not what you are here for, what are you here for?" @beaumontmonroe
Tumblr media
"is that... no, mr jackson. i'm not your cfo, i'm your financial analyst and advisor. and i would... advise you to familiarise yourself with your cfo. they control your purse. or the magazine's purse, at least." beau explained, trying not to let his face betray his emotions. this guy was the editor-in-chief? god...
"and i could tell the cfo that but i doubt they'd go for it. we don't need to buy cars for raunchy photoshoots. we rent cars for that. or, i assume you do, most photoshoots do that." beau told him, placing down the paper on the desk in front of him where it was clear levi didn't care. "and i wouldn't know if you've done petrolheads before, that is a suggestion for your creative director."

The man was self-aware, at least, it was pretty foolish of him to have walked straight into another individual (who was stood still). The remarks were charming, though Levi's bravado meant he tried to keep a rather subdued, bemused visage.
"Yep. I'm perfectly fine." As they spoke, Levi was slowly starting to forget who he was. As if, in this moment, he could be absolutely anyone but Levi Jackson to the man before him. It wasn't that he'd never been offered an opportunity to be someone else before, but something about this time felt different.
"Oh, heading in?" He cleared his throat, glancing up to the establishment again, pretending as if he'd only just noticed its existence (despite being stood directly outside). "No, no... um. I don't really know what this is, to be honest, but I also have nowhere else to be, so..." @rxshingpxlse
Tumblr media
"I wasn't looking where I was going and I am just an idiot. I know they say you shouldn't text and drive, but apparently you shouldn't text and walk either." it was something that he would keep in the back of his mind when it happened again, because it probably was going to happen again and there was nothing he could do about it.
"I'm glad you are okay, it looks like you remained in the same spot and didn't really get bothered by me running into you." He laughed a bit as he looked at Levi and then lost his train of thought. That jawline was out of this world and he was snapped back into reality. "Were you heading in? I just got done volunteering here but I don't mind showing you around if you want. or were you on your way somewhere else?" @levijxcksxn

"Another round of shots? Now someone's getting comfortable." Levi grinned, his phone buzzed obtrusively, vibrating in his light-blue denim jeans. It was likely his step-mother, frustrated that he'd done absolutely nothing in regards to executorial decisions for the magazine she used to love (but willingly abandoned, mind). He fidgeted in his seat.
"And yeah, sure, I get paid the big bucks to look pretty and to look like I make big decisions. Pretty damn attractive, huh?" The remark was playful, light-hearted, and definitely not to be taken seriously. He got up and headed for the bar, this time he glanced back at Noah, as a visual indication that he should follow.
"And what do you do, mystery man?" @rxshingpxlse
Tumblr media
"I guess that I'm not going to argue with that. It wouldn't be right to tell anyone what they should or shouldn't be doing with their money. While I may find it kind of odd, I'm not going to complain that I'm getting free drinks out of this." He said. He watched the wink but then decided to just ignore it. "Well then let's get another round and maybe some shots since it's on you?" He asked Levi as he raised an eyebrow slightly. He couldn't help but laugh when Levi mentioned that he ran it and it was used with air quotes. "Ah so you're the guy who just gets paid the big bucks to do nothing?" Noah questioned while he looked at the other. @levijxcksxn

A queer venue. Huh. Levi had never really been inside one. Not really.
Well, that was probably, in part, a lie. Levi had been physically present in a queer space (and even that was probably an overstatement, too many narcotics and alcohol in his system) before, but he hadn't really explored what it was like to be authentically yourself within one--
An unexpected weight fell into him and then, rather comically, bounced straight back onto the ground. Levi's lips quivered as he held back a laugh, though he was also a little bewildered by what exactly had just transpired. He had been standing still in the same place for a rather long time, after all.
"Hey, uh, it's fine.. I'm... I'm fine." He really was unscathed, clearly the handsome, clumsier fellow was far more buoyant. "How're you? You good?" A mild, amused smile followed. @rxshingpxlse

Starter for: Gabriel & Levi @levijxcksxn Location: Outside Queer Spot
Whenever Gabriel wasn't busy hovering over the coffee shop, he liked to give back to the community. While he made monthly donations to Queer Spot, he also made sure to spend a couple days a month at least helping out. He had finished up with what he was working on that day and he was walking outside, phone in hand. He was so busy looking at his phone that he bumped into someone and he was pushed back onto the ground with his phone falling next to him. He muttered to himself, but when he looked up he saw one of the most beautiful men he had ever seen. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" He said as he got himself off the ground and then brushed off his pants before rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "I should've been looking, are you okay though?"

"I do, in fact, have cash to burn. Don't say that like you're surprised, and you should take it as a compliment that I wanna spend it on you. You seem interesting. Is that enough of a reason?" A wink followed. Levi towed the line with his sexuality. Never saying what he actually meant. In summary, he liked the look of Noah. Would he admit that directly? Not yet. Give him a few more drinks.
"Uh, the Jackson name is pretty big. Publishing is our thing. I run Lepor magazine, although... "run"..." He used air-quotes. "...is pretty subjective." @rxshingpxlse
Tumblr media
"You have cash to burn? And you want to spend it on some random guy at the bar? What's your angle? Are you trying to just buy some friends or something?" He asked. Noah couldn't really determine what was going on with this guy but he was ruthless and not willing to give up no matter how many times Noah tried. "Ding ding ding. I have not heard of you, why would I have heard of you before?" He asked Levi. Levi then raised his glass and Noah reluctantly stuck his up as well so that it would clink with the other gentleman's before taking a sip. @levijxcksxn

Warren was like, "No guys in Hollywood have chest hair — show that shit off. Show off that Texas chest hair, love!" That is what makes Warren so special. He's got a wicked sense of humor. He's got a classic sense of style but loves to give it some sexiness and modern edge. [x]

"I've got cash to burn." Levi remarked as he came back, a drink in each hand. He set one down for Noah and then sat across from the dark-haired individual, already swigging from his own.
"First things first, names. I'm Levi Jackson. You might have heard of me." Levi's head tilted, as he examined Noah's visage closely. "Or you haven't. Either way, I'm your one-way ticket to having a whale of a time tonight." He winked, raising his glass up between them to toast. "Cheers."
Tumblr media
"If you don't appreciate that, then you're not going to like what else I have to say so you might just want to beat it now." He said to Levi. "Well yeah, why not? You're offering to buy drinks and I'm never going to really turn that down. I like when people buy me free drinks." He said as he laughed a bit and then shrugged his shoulders while finally looking over at the other. "Oh gosh." Noah shook his head as he put it into his hand. This was going to be a long night and now he considered going home. @levijxcksxn

Levi didn't care for a sensible use of the magazine's money. In fact, he didn't care much for the magazine at all. Surely, someone out there, probably someone that knew Levi was a person, would know that Levi was not the person to appoint financial responsibility.
He'd usually pay someone else to do this bit.
So landing on a car as an investment was less of a "thought" for Lepor, and more of a thought for himself. He didn't care if the magazine didn't want the car. He didn't want the magazine.
And now, for whatever reason, he'd been appointed a new financial analyst, likely a job done by his step-mother.
"A CFO? Is that not what you are?" He didn't take the document, glancing between it and Beau. "And hey, you tell this "CFO" that we can use it for some raunchy photoshoots or something. Category is: petrolhead. We haven't done that before, have we?" @beaumontmonroe

beau was enjoying his new job, which was a surprise to him. he'd expected certain concessions when he'd taken the job as a financial analyst for lepor magazine - less hours, less pay, and different from what he was used to. he'd downgraded from a financial consultant, although he did still offer his expertise as an internal advisor. it meant slightly more pay, and he had more time for jake, which was the ultimate goal. he hadn't known what to expect when working at a fashion magazine but... it was great.
mostly. when he wasn't hounded by the magazine editor-in-chief for his 'expert advice' on getting a new, flash car into the magazine's budget. beau was considering putting something into the budget himself - a big stamp and some red ink, to stamp 'rejected' across levi's proposals.
"you'll have to discuss with the CFO to get that approved, mr jackson." beau said with a fake smile, offering the document back to his boss... sort of.

"Don't appreciate the sarcastic, insincere tone, eeyore." Levi grinned, winking once again and hopping up to his feet, and he reached down to take both his and Noah's empty glass. "You can't stand me, but you'll let me buy a drink?" A smarmy smirk, Levi let what Noah didn't say (or do) encourage him more than Noah's active, verbal discouragement. "Right, you better brace yourself. When I'm back, all I'm doing is asking you about yourself. Don't go anywhere." He went to the bar to fetch them both drinks and wasted no time in bringing them back. @rxshingpxlse

"Of course you would. It seems like you are just a positive ray of sunshine where rainbows and glitter come out of your ass. This is really interesting to hear." Noah mentioned to Levi before he took a longer sip of his whiskey. "I can't stand you. I'll take a whiskey on the rocks actually." He said to the other as he swirled the empty glass around with just ice in it. @levijxcksxn

"Hey, the night's still young. I've still got time to "shake". Although... I'd much prefer someone else be doing the shaking against me, y'know?" A playful wink, Levi knocked his drink back, granting Thomas the privilege of elevator eyes, panning his gaze up and down the bartender that had chosen to grant Levi his company. Easy on the eyes, that was for sure. A few more drinks and he'd likely say that out loud.
"I thought that someone who worked here would wanna get out as soon as his shift is done, you're braver than I." Levi could think of nothing worse than loitering at the Lepor offices after office hours. "But hey, I might take you up on that offer if I'm feeling desperate... but I'll also take you up on that shot, hm?" Despite the remark sounding like a backhanded compliment, he leaned over and flirtatiously nudged his frame into Thomas. @rxshingpxlse
Tumblr media
"I'm surprised that you're not out there. I figured you'd be out there shaking it." Thomas explained to Levi while looking at him and he laughed a bit. "Well why don't you have a partner? Where are they? Did they leave you high and dry to just hangout with yourself? But you don't have to worry about it at all. If you're really worried about it then I'm sure that I can keep you company. I like to go out there and dance as well so you just let me know if you need someone to join you. Would you like to do a shot?" @levijxcksxn

Levi was a serial lurker when it came to bars and clubs. Many may consider it creepy. However, more often than not, it was rare that he'd be left on his own for an extended amount of time. Tonight had been a rare exception, though. Perhaps people in attendance didn't like the cut of his jib, or they had seen him in the press and were put off (or, equally, too nervous to approach), there was a multitude of excuses reasons that could explain why Levi had been neglected - that is, until, the rather charming bartender he'd been subtly eyeing up throughout the night finally approached, clearly having just ended a shift.
"Me? Not on the dance floor? Well, I, hm..." He looked around the bar area, seemingly past Thomas, deliberately so, and then back to the man. "Although I know I can dance stag any day of the week, I kinda' envisioned that, if I was to dance tonight, I'd have a partner." He shrugged lazily, taking a sip from his own rum and coke.

Thomas was done with his shift and he decided that he was going to stick around and have himself a few drinks. Well, probably more than a few because that tended to be his ritual when he was working. He was glad he didn't have to work the late night shift this evening, even though sometimes that's where they made the best money. Drunk people forgot how much they were tipping sometimes. He walked out from the back, glitter still on him and he moved up to the bar where the bartender sent over his usual tequila and club soda. He sipped from it before he saw the gentleman who had been hanging around for a chunk of the day. He walked over to him and sat on a stool. "What are you doing here, handsome? Why aren't you out there on the dance floor?"

Levi's nose scrunched up, in a mixture of both disgust and thought. Disgust, mainly, in response to Noah's hypothetical ('cause of course it wasn't real) idea that he was, unfathomably, already sick of him.
"Y'know, I'll take being equated to Tinkerbell. I probably would combust or wither, which would now, as you're the last to speak to me, be on your hands. You'd hate to be a potential suspect, right?" A cheesy grin and a lame attempt at finger-guns, he nodded and hopped up to his feet, waggling a finger between his own, nearly-empty glass, and Noah's drink.
"I don't think you're sick of me. So what'll you be having?"
Tumblr media
"I mean I was sure someone was going to speak to me, but I did think that my attitude of not wanting to talk would deter them from wanting to keep the conversation going, but it seems to have had the opposite effect on you." Noah admitted to Levi as he shook his head once again.
"I'm sure it does. I'm sure you need that to help you survive. You're kind of like tinker bell and want attention or whatever her problem was." Noah admitted to the other man as he chuckled a bit and then sipped from his glass. "You're going to pay for all of my drinks until I get sick of you? What if I said that I'm already sick of you?" He asked him. @levijxcksxn

"You could've done a variety of things, other than come into a bar by yourself and hope that no one spoke to you. And, of all your options, I think that was probably the silliest one." A smarmy wink, Levi rest his face upon a cradle of his arms, supported by his elbows against the table.
"I could've invited people, sure, but I like to meet new faces. Charming and different personalities in my life keeps me on my toes, y'know? Keeps me awake." Levi laughed at his own cliché remark. He pointed towards Noah's drink of choice. "Say, tell you what, I'll buy any future rounds until you're sick of me - then, when you say so, I'll go. How about that?" @rxshingpxlse
Tumblr media
Noah rubbed his temple softly when he heard the other one trying to replicate the British accent. "I suppose that I could've, but I also could've come in with other people if I wanted company." He said to the other. "If you wanted to.be so friendly, then you could've also found some friends to bring out with you so that you didn't have to bother others that you don't know." He said to him. "Well I'm not a complete asshole and you don't seem like the type of person who'd accept that and would continue to annoy someone. I'm Noah." @levijxcksxn

"Okay, well," He took another sip. "honestly, mate," Levi's British accent and subsequent impersonation of Noah left a lot to be desired, "if you didn't want any form of social contact, you could've bought a couple cans and done this on the couch." His nose wrinkled, Levi's attention swept the bar briefly.
"And you could say, sure, you don't want to talk to me. But if that was the case, you'd spare me the social obligations and just plain ignore me, but you're not." He wiggled a finger at Noah, taunting him almost. "The name's Levi. Yours?" @rxshingpxlse
Tumblr media
Noah sighed as the other continued to prod at why he wasn't going to speak more than he intended. "Honestly mate, it's probably because I'm tired and I was watching the basketball game that's on the television, if you want me to be frank with you." He said to him as he chuckled softly and shook his head. "I can also say that I just simply don't want to if that's what I please but something tells me you're not going to consider that a valid explanation." @levijxcksxn

The lack of enthusiasm enticed Levi further. He was not a stupid man, he didn't expect people upon the very sight of him to be scratching at the bit to impress him. There was the art of indifference, though, that Levi found hard to describe, but he could see it within the man he'd chosen to sat across from.
"All right, good, because I wasn't looking forward to having to move." Levi grinned, taking a hefty swig of his beer. He scrunches his nose up, granting Noah his undivided attention, despite being aware of the sports game holding his newfound comrade's attention.
"And why can't I get a full conversation out of you, huh? I don't take being boring as an excuse either, so, I better hear a valid explanation."
Tumblr media
With classes being an absolute bust today, Noah felt like he needed to get out and treat himself to a couple of drinks. He had parked his car at home and uber'd out just incase he decided to have more than he should and be able to get home without leaving his car at the bar. Noah had a glass of whiskey on ice in his hand as he was sitting at the bar counter. He was watching one of the sports games on the television until someone had come over and sat down next to him and he heard the huff, not really looking over that way until the person who sat down began to speak.
"Nah, not really waiting for anyone to show up, honestly." He said to the stranger as he then rubbed the side of his neck while still staring at the television. He looked over at the other now and shrugged. "Sure, I guess I can do that, but don't expect to receive a full conversation out of me, I might be more boring than whatever you were doing before." Noah spoke honestly before taking a swig of the brown liquor.

starter for: @rxshingpxlse - noah rhitt. where: five star.
It may be embarrassing for the average person to head out to a dive bar stag. Levi, however, didn't consider himself an average person - he was far from it, in fact. So, after another dull day of being spoken to by several different editors of a magazine that cared far more about its content than Levi did, he took himself out for a drink, hoping that any of its patrons would be complete strangers to his new world.
He'd been milling about the place, incapable of sitting down, with a beer in hand. It did seem like he was almost narcissistically assessing the other people in the bar, deciding whether they would be acceptable company for the night.
That was when his sights set on a rather stoic gentleman. He didn't ask before he sat. In fact, he announced his arrival rather abruptly by setting his pint glass down on the table first - loudly - before dropping down into the seat with a huff.
"Right, you best be waiting for someone because I'm bored shitless, and if you are, you can keep me company until then anyways, alright?"
