This is a really cool idea!! I should see what pictures i get googling themes in my novel. Obviously you didn't draw these but it almost seems like the pictures you picked are your style. If that makes any sense. again so cool!!!

MY RAD RESEARCH 3
As suggested by alyssaklaresmith I looked up some 1984 imagery. I found these to best reflect a lot of the themes I found myself focusing on while writing this project.

I just found out my book Alias Grace has a movie! I think I’m going to see if i can find it somewhere so I can watch it and compare the two. Did you think the movie or book was better?
Oh and I watched the movie
I really enjoyed watching the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It was interesting to see how the producer changed the content from the book. The book characterized the narrator as homosexual, but the movie painted him as someone in love with Holly. That really threw me for a loop. I did like the producers choice to make Audrey Hepburn star as Holly Golightly. She definitely fit the mold for who I imagined her to be.

I had the same issue! when I was trying to focus I had a really hard time doing it, then when I gave up and said I would do it the next day, all the ideas would come to me when i had no way of remembering them all!!
My Rad Research
During the writing and research aspects of this project, I found that it is not only difficult for me to document and transfer my thoughts into text, but also stay focused. Many times during this project, I would think of tons of ideas and points I wanted to make, but my brain would move too fast for me to actually form the sentences, therefore I would forget my point. But one thing that helped me was putting my headphones in and listening to https://www.coffitivity.com/ !

So I am almost done with my project. I only have my intro to annotations (which I'm about to do right now) and my general introduction left. I know I'm almost done but at the same time I am still absolutely terrified because this is my last weekend to do the project. Wish me luck!

Reading the Work 6
Overall, i really love this book. It kept me wondering the whole time which kept me interested throughout the whole book. Alias Grace is all about how easy it is for one person’s choice to affect another person’s whole life. Which although in this book it’s very extreme the same can be said about real life, hopefully in our cases however on a lot smaller scale. Even though i’m done with the book i still have no idea if Grace is guilty, which honestly i’m okay with it. It shows me and the rest of Atwood's audience that you can’t have the answer to everything.

Reading The Work 5
Looking back on the book again, I have realized something. In the second to last chapter it is titled “The Letter X” and it’s ten letters to and from various people throughout the book. What I am wondering is why does Atwood do this? The letters are the character telling each other how their lives are. But I wonder why Atwood doesn't just have Grace narrate everything that is going on like she has been throughout the book. I want to figure it out but at the same time I figure that it might just be something Atwood wants the reader to think about, but find an answer for ourselves and not try to find clues.

So last week I got 5 criticisms and annotated them all. Now, I just need to pick 3 between the 5. That will be the last thing I do tonight and then tomorrow I will start my abstracts! I’m actually pretty nervous about it so wish me luck!

I've never seen any Lord of the Rings or Hobbit movies. But it sounds like a really interesting story-line, I would love to try to read it! When you’re talking about the voice, is it distinguished as Janine in the Their Eyes are Watching God? And one last question, would recommend that I watch the movies first before I read it or read it first?
I have finally finished The Hobbit. It is honestly one of my favorite books of all time, and I recommend it to all of you.
In the end, the oarcs do not join the Battle of Five armies, like in the movie. Thorin is wounded in battle and dies after mending his relationship with Bilbo. I liked how...

This sounds like a really great play! It sounds like it has a really great meaning that can connect to even today’s everyday life choices. I find it really interesting that Faust kind of made up his own god somewhat. I would think that wouldn't be accepted very well during the time period he wrote it.
In the end, Faus, is just a struggle for a man, a privileged and educated man. He’s trying to find enlightenment or whatever you want to call it. I thought it sounded like he was trying to find what makes life worth living. In the first part of Faust, the main character, Faust, falls in love....

This seems like a really interesting plot line! The wall part reminded me of Handmaids Tale. I wonder what the wall is for in your book? Trying to keep people out or keep them in? Also, i’m really curious on what happens to the poor dead women who suppose to be important!
In Parable of the Sower:
It fast forwarded 8 months and now it is 2027 and the world has turned to total chaos. A group of people have attacked the wall, who and how is not clear, but now Lauren is on her own outside of the wall. The first image I got was while reading was her running trying not...

I also have a love hate relationship with my character Grace. I relate to her in the aspect of never really knowing who to trust but at the same time it’s really annoying when you can never tell if she is telling the reader and Dr. Simon the truth of what really happened or if she is just lying to try to get out of the penitentiary. on a side note, that’s a crazy difference between Disney peter pan and the one in the book. That’s really interesting! I wonder why Disney decided to make such a slightly evil story to such a kid friendly one?
The first five chapters of this book has struck a love-hate relationship between myself and the character of Peter Pan. Barrie’s Peter Pan is definitely not like the Disney character I have loved since childhood.
Barrie’s Pan is a manipulative, conceited, and rather violent magical boy. I wasn’t...

Last weekend I went to the OU library to get my criticisms for my book Alias Grace and honestly it was terrifying. I was there for two hours until I found out that I was on the second floor and the criticisms I needed were on the third. Then after 30min on the third floor I finally found them. It took me a while to figure out how to use the copy machine but after the really nice technology girl helped me I finally got my criticisms after 3.5 hours of being there. Moral of the story: I'm glad I went through the struggle now so maybe it will only take 2 hours when I get to college.

Eyes are Watching God Chunk 1
While reading chapter 1-5 i found it very interesting of how Hurston first goes on to talk about how Janine is judged by the sitters soon as she got back to her hometown. However, at first I thought the book was going to be about how the “sitters” judge her. Which honestly I when I thought this I figured this was going to be a book I would hate. However, toward the middle of Chapter 2 I found out this isn't the cause. She sits down with her old friend Phoebe and starts telling the story of her life since she left. Which so far is really interesting to me because I really like hearing the story of other people. I’m now looking forward to reading this book.

Reading the Work 4
Although i’m done reading Alias Grace, I’m still really confused on who the speaker. There’s Grace who narrates whenever there’s a flashback or conversation conversation between her and Dr. Simon. however, whenever there’s person narrating about what Dr. Simon is doing outside the penitentiary it obviously can’t be Grace so who is it? I hope as I scan throughout the book I can figure it out.

I had a hard time with the start of my book also, although I'm not reading a sci -fyi book my book has some much detail in it I really have to read it slower a lot slower then I usually would. Although for me I like reading it slower because I feel I'm getting into the book more than I usually would reading at my usual pace. Do you like taking it slow or would you rather be able to read your usual pace?
I just started reading the book, and not going to lie but it’s really hard to get into the story… The problem with sci-fi is that the author creates such a huge and new universe and it is hard to establish that back story. Without the back story nothing makes sense… I had to reread the first 30...
