as he sits there, alex listens closely to everything being said as he occasionally nods along to show that he's paying attention even to tee's words. it may be true that the two of them were in fact roommates, though over the past year since the day that the other had arrived in the dorms, well alex had been more focused on other things rather than getting to know his new roommate.

today would be the day that he at least attempts getting to know the other a bit more. since he had recently gotten over his whole breakup, it was definitely time for him to sit down and focus more on his career as an idol, at least even more than he previously was anyway. "oh really? what are some of your favorite books?" he asks this, actually curious as to what sort of books tee reads in his spare time.

alex smiles slightly when the younger asks him the same question in return. "well, obviously dancing and coming up with choreography would be on my list. though here lately i have been sort of spending a bit more time in the studio trying out a bit of producing here and there. so hopefully in the future i'll be able to take part in some lyric writing and producing as well."

It's been over a year since Tee joined V&A but he was still getting used to some of the members and some of their schedules. Tee and Alex were still slightly awkward towards each other despite being roommates and so Tee hoped that it didn't show too much during the live. It wasn't that they didn't get along. It was just their personalities were too similar and both tended to keep to themselves. Fingers crossed today went well for everyone.

Tee listens carefully to everyone introduce themselves patiently and once it was his turn he smiled. ❛ Hello! I'm Versus' Tee. ❜ These vlogs were a new concept to Tee and so he was still learning what was what. Thankfully, he had Alex to guide him (even if the older didn't know it).

If he was being honest, Tee was a little surprised when Alex directed a question at him but he smiled brightly and answered politely. ❛ This first topic is a really good topic to learn about each other. My hobbies? Of course it would be dancing. I also enjoy reading lately, too. I've started learning the piano, too so that's becoming a hobby. What about you, Alex hyung? What are some of your favourite hobbies? ❜

it's the first episode of their podcast, alex figuring that there will obviously be some moments of awkwardness due to this being a bit new to the members, though at the same time they had been doing things similar to this for so long now that he actually didn't think that it would really be that bad for them. at least, that's what he hoped. with this being live, one slip up and they could be in some deep shit later on.

pushing the thoughts out of his mind, he waits until they're cued to begin, thus starting the beginning of the group's activities for the next few episodes. "hello everyone! i'm v&a versus' k." he introduces himself then waits for the others to introduce themselves, watching them as they do so and giving the slightest bit of a smile.

when it's his turn to talk again, alex looks towards tee as he speaks. "i know we're usually, or at least most of the time, busy with our own individual schedules so even i'm curious about this first topic we have. what are some of your favorite hobbies lately, tee?" he asks the younger male, allowing the younger members to actually go first, especially since he's technically the 'senior' of the group compared to the others.

VERSUS Mission 004: Alex's Birthday Vlive

Game: Amongus Word Count: 1,046

honestly, alex wasn't someone who really cared much for his birthday's, especially since it just meant that he was getting a year older, but when it came to him celebrating for the sake of situations like these he didn't mind it really.

what made this even more enjoyable was that he would get to enjoy playing some games with the fans, even answering questions in between rounds during the short little breaks. so really it was just like any other 'off day' aside from not really being alone.

it's true he has plenty of games that he plays, a lot of which he has more private accounts for when he wants to just enjoy a more chill day of gaming with his friends, though he can't exactly play those games he's used to playing. a single round alone would last longer than the time he was given today for his vlive, so in the end he decides on the more 'basic' game such as among us.

once he's given the 'okay' to begin, alex waves both hands to the camera and smiles. "hello eterval. another year has gone by since we did this. right?" he gives a small chuckle before continuing. "today we're actually going to play some games together. i know that one of the games i have lined up, among us, can actually now have up to fifteen people in a lobby but that may take longer to find the imposters so we'll still to having up to eight in total which will give us a few good rounds to play today."

he smiles as he looks at the chat, the comments flooding in as his fans begin 'yelling' about wanting to join first. "don't worry, we'll make it so that no one joins in more than once to sort of keep things more fair for those who want to play."

as he says this he begins setting up a lobby, speaking as he does. "i wish there was a game that we could have an unlimited amount of players but we'll have to do with this for now." letting out a disappointed sigh he finally calls off the join code a couple times, waiting until the lobby fills up before finally starting the round.

he keeps his expression neutral, even though this round he only gets the 'crewmate' role, in order to keep his role a mystery from those within the lobby. though this doesn't seem to matter when one runs up and kills him in the game, making him laugh as his head falls forward. "well then..." of course his fans would do this. they loved clowning him and screwing with him whenever they had the chance to do so.

"well, i'll let you all discuss that while i answer some questions from the chat." he states, turning his gaze from his computer screen to check the chat.

scanning through some of them, he nods slowly while smiling. "thank you all for the birthday wishes. it really means a lot to me." he says honestly, doing the whole 'fan service' thing by giving them a few finger hearts, even making a heart over his head.

occasionally he looks over to see what's being discussed in game, taking a sip of his drink in the process and just smiling as no one gets it right before they begin again and alex goes back to doing his tasks as a ghost. his focus on making sure he tries to at least get those done to help the crewmates at least.

then another body is found and he's back to reading through questions. "what are my plans after this? probably practice some more before i go out with some friends for dinner later." he states with a slight couple of nods.

"my favorite hair color so far? my current one. red. so many of you teased me back when i had the orange hair." he half-jokes before returning his attention back to the screen and getting back to his last few tasks. he sits back in his chair as he watches the rest of the round unfold, the imposters winning in the end. "good job everyone. some of you had it right but ended up being killed for that."

"alright, let's answer some more questions before we start another round." as he says this he exits the lobby, quickly typing up the names of those who played the recent round in his notes, before paying attention to what's being said.

"what's my ideal type?" he can't help but laugh a little at this, shaking his head back and forth a few times in response. "i don't really have an 'ideal type' honestly. i think just anyone who's able to spend time with me on my days off, and even understands me and my career is enough. though, of course, they have to have a good personality." he finishes off with a smile before moving on.

"my favorite song off of the new album.... i'd have to say 'dive' is my favorite off of the album. so i'd definitely recommend listening to it when you all get the chance... that is, if you haven't already."

and back to yet another round of among us. he somehow manages to only get crewmate for all of the games he plays with the fans, almost as if the game just hates him, though regardless of this he still has fun in the end while answering questions and enjoying some quality time with eterval. despite everything that had happened over the past few months until now... well, alex couldn't really complain too much knowing that he still had their fans to help keep him grounded at times like these.

maybe alex would actually enjoy his birthday more often in the future if they could do something like this each year. though that would be up to the company to decide, plus depend on what was on their schedules at the time.

either way today proved to be more fun that he originally thought it would be, especially when the cake was brought in, but more due to the fact that he got to play some games with those who supported him and the group. it was definitely a special birthday.

even though they hadn't lost many members since debut, maybe 3 or 4 at most, there were still moments when alex found himself wondering if it were worth remembering the new members that they did get. there were only two of them as 'original' members left, one being yeonwoo and the other being himself, and it still felt strange just knowing that fact alone. but, despite his initial thoughts of just keeping his distance from the others, aside from yeonwoo that is, he can't exactly do that. alex has to make an attempt at becoming closer to the others so that they could maintain great teamwork for schedules in the future. though he'd be lying if he were to say that at least akio hadn't caught his attention the first moment they all met one another. "you don't have to be so formal with me. we're a team now... a family. you can just address me as 'hyung' if that works better for you." he states, giving the younger male a reassuring smile.

"actually... that's why i came searching for you. to see how well you and-" what was the other one's name again? "seo....jun?" that didn't sound right though. "were handling practice." he states while giving a small nod. "i'd love to see how you're doing so far, and if you don't mind me even giving a few tips... or help if you need it." alex then makes his way to the side of the room, taking a seat in one of the chairs to stay out of the other's way and not disturb him. he honestly wasn't used to being in this kind of setting with a new member, though he wanted to honestly help in every way that he could. especially when it came to a fellow japanese member.

When Akio’s head perks up to figure out the origin of the voice, he immediately puts down his water bottle and gets back up on his feet. He did not expect any of the Versus members to show up in the practice room he usually shares with Seojin. “Hello, sunbaenim,” he greets politely. His body reacts instinctively and he bows deeply as he’s been trained to do in the presence of a senior idol. “I am, yes. It’s nice to meet you again.” They’ve been introduced already by Kyuhwan, but he thinks Alex might not be good with faces, or names… or both. Or maybe he can’t be bothered with new members, which Akio hopes isn’t the case. He’s aware that Jaesun is an abysmal loss to the group. His charisma and popularity were undeniable and he can’t even begin to think that he’ll ever reach a quarter of his fame. 

Alex does seem friendly, which puts Akio’s mind at ease. It’s a bit embarrassing that he was caught in the middle of a water break and not while diligently practicing his steps. He’s getting along pretty well, already being a fan of V&A and knowing most of their choreographies. The only bothersome part is not really knowing where he would be standing in comparison to the rest of the members, which makes truly mastering a dance difficult. But he guesses they’ll end up practicing with the whole group, or use back dancers. “Did you need me for something?” He asks, running a hand through his hair to get it out of his face. “I was practicing Cream Soda, actually! Just took a small break. Do you wanna see?”

honestly, out of all the new members that the group as a whole had gotten lately, max was one that alex was grateful towards the company for adding into the group. the two of them were so close that alex thought of the younger male as his own 'brother', so when they had announced him last year as a new member alex couldn't hide his excitement for the other male.

squinting slightly at the question, alex thinks for a moment before shrugging. "i'm not sure? there's too many languages at this point to even remember and keep count of." he half-jokes, chuckling softly at his own words. it's true they both know different languages, more than one, though some languages alex is sure he only knows the basics of compared to max's.

smiling at max, alex waits for max to speak before jumping in, responding in english as well at first. "that's one!" he then switches to japanese when speaking next. "hey eterval. please be sure to also send in questions that you'd like for us to answer as well." he then looks at max with a slight grin, motioning for his turn again.

max beams back at alex, feeling once again thankful he had been received with such open arms from everyone in vna. his path had been so full of ups and down with becoming a potential leader to ending up the youngest on the team; it was a journey for sure.

now he finds himself chuckle, sitting straighter for a second. "I mean- I guess. we can also take turns? do I know more languages than you?" if memory serves him right he has one more language over alex but the guy is so full of surprises sometimes, it wouldn't shock max when he suddenly came around and knew five more.

"but okay sure- i'll go with the first one- starting it off easy with english: hi guys! this is k and myungsoo speaking. we hope you enjoy today's podcas episode!"

alex smiles and nods to yeonwoo in response. "same. though, i feel like we'll definitely learn something new today regardless of what they make. maybe even something we can make in the dorm for the others when we have the time." he states, lips pursed in thought as he slowly nods at the idea of learning some new recipes and sharing them with the other members.

chuckling softly, alex shakes his head a couple times. "if you can't finish something, feel free to slide it my way. i'll help you judge them for sure." he half-jokes, giving the younger male a slight playful nudge to show that he's actually joking with the other male. of course if it really did come down to it, alex would help the other in any way that he could, though he's sure that they most likely won't make them eat the whole portions. at least he hopes they won't force them for yeonwoo's sake.

with his attention returning to what's going on, he listens carefully to the male beside him and smiles gently at the thought. "that would be amazing actually. i'd love to share some of even my own secret dishes that even you haven't tasted yet." he says this while taking a moment to glance at yeonwoo. "don't worry, one day i may share them with you." he jokes yet again, obviously not one to hold back cooking for anyone, especially yeonwoo.

as someone who enjoyed cooking and watching chefs prepare recipes so he could learn new tricks, yeonwoo had always wanted to guest on one of these cooking shows. so he sits comfortably next to the members, relaxed enough to enjoy the filming since it is something he is familiar with. "yeah same. i wonder what kind of snacks they are preparing and if they will add any twist to it," he shares with a grin.

the younger idol laughs lightly at alex's revelation. "oh! i should've done that. i had lunch before coming so i hope i won't be too full when it's time to eat and judge the dishes," he says. if anything, alex could eat more ( from his own words, he doesn't think the other would mind at all ). "can you tell what they are preparing?" he asks as they watch the progress through a small screen on a different set.

crossing his arms focused on what he was watching, he nods. "we are. maybe one day they will invite us to cook, too. wouldn't that be fun?" he asks with a grin on his lips, reminiscing the lgc masterchef days.

playfully rolling his eyes at her, alex can't help but laugh a little at her response. "really? i figured you would be going shopping at this time." he jokingly says as he gives a fake expression of shock while looking at her, his hand flying up to his chest as if he's actually shocked by this information.

of course alex isn't someone who assumes what someone is doing, especially the opposite gender, though with his more 'playful' side he tends to use it when he's either bored, stressed, or even just needs to have a little bit of a laugh at times.

raising his brow, he looks at her with an amused look at how she suddenly changes upon hearing that he'd be paying, soon finding himself laughing and shaking his head. "do they not feed you throughout the day? or are you like some 'garbage disposal'?" he's joking, once again of course, not really minding actually spending a little bit of money.

why would he worry when he had enough money to live off of the entire year, even with just the 'allowance' that his parents gave him each month.

"you know, usually only couples hold hands. don't tell me you've fallen for me, mimi~." again, he's teasing. something he does when the situation presents itself, and in this case it has ( at least in his eyes it has ) so he can't help himself from poking a little fun at her as they walk. "katsu?" his train of thought takes another route at the word alone. "now you're really trying to win me over. aren't you?~"

he's lowkey surprised she's managed to put up with him for this long actually.

When things were always so tense, it was only right that they had their fun in so many ways. Of course, they couldn't hang out all the time, they couldn't just go out. They weren't quite normal people, so that outlet had to be remedied in... other fashions.

No, not that one.

When Alex bounds next to her, her brain short-circuits for a moment, before she's offering her senpai a short bow before she's clearing her throat. Well, she hadn't been thinking in japanese, but she answers easily. "The dorm of course!" She says with a bit of sass, but she knew he'd take it in stride.

Damn, she had let this get so incredibly far, but really it could have been worst. It could have actually been malicious, but really, it was just some harmless fun. Maybe, really in the grand scheme of things, Alex knew she could actually speak English was just humoring her.

Maybe.

"Mmm, your treat? Suddenly, I'm starving. Let's go." She murmurs, moving to grab his hand and drag them out. "I know just the place. There's this place with the best katsu."

being in settings like these were usually relaxing to alex, though the moment that they found out they'd be able to do something together like this, he couldn't hide the excitement that he usually would push down. it was max after all. the two of them had known one another long enough now to be close and have alex even wanting to take care of and spoil the younger male ( he even unofficially adopted max from the beginning ).

he smiles gently, nodding along to what max says, even sometimes humming in agreement every now and then. seeing how max is able to speak with such easy helps alex relax some more, originally worried that the other would be nervous. "we should actually! especially if we have international fans joining us today."

alex takes a short moment before speaking again. "would you like to start us off? or should i?" he asks, offering more time for max for a few reasons, though one being that alex has managed to gain popularity through group activities more than max has so far. he wants people to know max and his talents, alex almost acting like some sort of supportive mother.

adjusting the headphones max sits himself neatly into his chair, unable to fight the smile off his face when he sits directly facing alex. after opening the show and introducing himself, today's topic would be languages and who else to join him for it than alex of course. the two of them seemed the most well versed in languages- even if max still considered himself fairly bad with japanese.

"hey guys. we're back everyone. today you'll be listening mostly to me and alex hyung cause we'll be... talking languages-," he begins and then blinks, the smile already widening across his lips.

"well- about languages- but I guess we'll be talking in different languages too- hey! shall we say hello in every language we know?!"

there were two new members added to the group after being told about another's departure, though he wasn't upset or irritated by the news as much as he thought he'd be. actually, he was pretty happy to find out that one of the new members actually was japanese, making alex actually grow even curious about whether or not he'd be able to get close to them ( which he hoped they would ). it was at least worth a shot right? not like it would hurt to try and at least introduce himself to the new member, even if the younger wanted nothing to do with him.

after hearing that akio would be in the practice room, being forced to learn every single bit of the versus discography and the seemingly endless choreographies that went with most of their songs, alex decided to take this time and not only introduce himself properly but also help the other out if he needed it. with them having a more newer song recently, it would probably be best if alex offered the younger some help with learning their newest choreography.

upon entering the practice room, alex slowly enters and takes a few steps inside, spotting akio as soon as he does so. "hello... you're akio right?" he asks, still being a big cautious just in case he's mixed the other up with someone else.

how could alex not be excited about filming for a show revolving around food? especially since he enjoyed cooking himself, even if today was revolving around just stacks it was still food either way. as him and yeonwoo sit there, side by side, he leans over to whisper to the other male as those preparing the snacks were busy with their own tasks. "i'm ready to see what they're preparing for us.... and how good it tastes." he states, a smile on his face.

"i purposely didn't eat before coming just for this." he openly admits to the younger male. of course he wouldn't tell this to anyone, admitting that he purposely skipped out on eating just so he could have room for eating on a show, though with yeonwoo he was rather comfortable around the other male enough to do so. the two had been together for a while now in versus, since the beginning of the group, so it's not really shocking that alex would trust the younger enough to share even secrets with.

"i feel like we were actually made for this show actually." he states, glancing over to watch the progress of the snacks being made.

for the amount of time that he had known mimi, alex had grown used to the moments of teasing and 'banter' that the two of them had. to be fair, they knew at least by now that they didn't really have to take anything the other said by heart, especially when they had made it clear at some point in the beginning that they really didn't have any harsh feelings towards one another. it's what friends did. right?

that's why, when he spots her while making his way down the hall, he can't help but grin before jogging to catch up with her. he gently nudges her with his arm as he falls into step with her, a grin on his face as he looks at her and speaks in japanese. "where are you heading to right now?" he asks, curious if she was busy or if she had some free time to just hang out for a little while. hell, with his comeback approaching it would be hard to even see one another for a while.

"if you aren't busy, how about grabbing a bite to eat? my treat." his previous teasing grin now replaced with a genuine smile as he stops walking and waits for her response.
