XANDER: OFF THE RUNWAY ⇀ EPISODE 031
"first things first, do you think the quality of this camera is a lot better than my usual vlogging one? now are you even more surprised when i say it is actually the Samsung S25? phones have come so far from since i was little - although my mom did not let me have a phone when i was younger... " jisoo's eyes dart to the left, laughing at the thought. "i was always a bit jealous of the other students in my class that did have them. but it was good discipline-wise. i understand why she did it. i am still not the biggest fan of screentime - which is a bit ironic since that is what i am using right now to film this!"
"now what i'm going to do today is go to a few fashion houses in korea today as if i were on a go-see. have you seen the.... 'next top model' series? the Korean one felt a little less intense than the American, but the American version always felt so cut throat. do this many go-sees in this many hours. i want to see if its even possible to do two or three in that time," jisoo says, "so i'll pick out a few houses, and we'll go check it out on my handy-dandy GPS," jisoo says, tapping on his galaxy watch. "come follow me as we make our way to 'Hyein So', 'LOWCLASSIC' and 'MINJUKIM'. i won't be doing any actual go-see, but i wanted to time it and also check out this purse for my mom."
there were a few cuts while the camera followed him and his GPS map, weaving them through some malls and through the mainways. "i love that it knew the mall was open and told us to go through rather than making me waste five minutes by walking around. realistic and efficient," jisoo chuckles, grinning as he walks to the MINJUKIM store. "and we are here! no fuss, no muss. thank you GPS," and he walks through the doors, hoping they would have some mannequins, showcasing their newest line. "last year, they had this beautiful line called 'fairy's shadow'." this year's newest collection is called 'chanran', brilliant. vibrant. their silhouettes are unique and special. what i am happy about is that fashion sense is less 'this is for men, this is for women', and that we often interchange clothes for each other in the industry. i would be down for this outfit. okay, i guess i should be good with my wallet too. we will head to Hyein So next... so let me plug that in right now, and see you soon!"

XANDER: OFF THE RUNWAY ⇀ EPISODE 030
may luck favour the bold. or foolish. whatever they say. he's had the brilliant, and amazing idea to film his bouts into an escape room alone, but that's exactly what he's chosen to do. and jisoo isn't necessarily the most intelligent guy in the universe either so there is a part of him that is woefully regrettable as he sits here in front of a puzzle now. funny, as the introduction part of the video had him gleefully saying his usual greetings to the fans, "gooood morning, we are here bright and early but only after i've had breakfast because i could not imagine doing this on an empty stomach," jisoo declares, grinning at the cameraman who would be his only companion as he went in to the escape room. "have you done escape rooms before? i hear they were pretty popular back in the day and i actually do enjoy the idea of them, but i am not sure how good i am at problem and puzzle solving. but i wanted to give it a try."
considering there was an hour limit on the room, jisoo genuinely hoped that he would be able to finish before the time was up, but this was also usually meant to be a group task. "maybe i should have invited some of the boys from lgc boys..." he says to no one in particular, as he grumbles looking at the device that looked like a bank bomb that was about to go off. not unnerving at all. the green bright lights stared at him and he looked back to the panel on the other side of the room that looked identical. maybe there was a theme here. but maybe the numbers were different? jisoo stands back up and goes back to the other panel and figures this might be a lost cause. "i think i need to take a break from this area and look at the other puzzle here," the model walks towards a dresser, vanity looking like case with many drawers. time to look through each drawer to see if there was anything of use. going through the first drawer seemed to be a lot of papers at disarray but the symbols must mean something. he kept that in mind for now, opening the second and third drawers, manuvering through. "oh finally an object! a key... we did see two keyholes earlier in other sections of the room, didn't we? must be for one of those. that feels so long ago. now where were they?" and the clock continued to tick, dropping down to 38 minutes. the mission goes on. but whether it will be a success or not, will truly be up to his wit and luck.

fashion analysis ;
an outfit, from the clothing, down to the accessories and shoes, is a very relevant thing to jisoo. it doesn't dictate his life, but it has quite the emphasis. he will purposely dress up a certain way and be mindful about it, but it does not necessarily take up a big portion of his life: rather, it is something he will think about the evening before and set aside for the morning. he is that type of individual, and does not prefer to rush around in the AM. comfort. for casual days at home, working out, training, there's a set of clothes for this type of casual. to the next degree he also has 'casual going out' clothes, that he may reserve for vlog filming, or for visiting family for a non-specific event. when he is wearing these clothes, he's probably the most reserved, and most close-to-his genuine self, albeit different if he is vlogging of course. when he's behind the cameras, in clothes that aren't angled or stiff in a particular way, jisoo feels most like his inner skin. typically found at home in the corner of his apartment reading a book. styled. a bit more coifed, semi-formal. everything is more shapely, pinched, shoes are not the type to be tumbling around in. jisoo feels more 'at ease' when he's out of his casual clothes if he has to make a public appearance. you won't typically find him in transit where he will be photographed wearing something that isn't purposely styled (although his casual clothes are always tidy and fitted too). jisoo enjoys dress shirts, all types of different shoes, and slacks. an air of professionalism and confidence comes with the attire. to the next degree, one will find jisoo in a dress shirt, blazer, or a three piece. he won't wear this without reason, but when he does, jisoo will typically feel tip-top of the world, especially if he has something important to do (such as hosting an event, attending a gala or party, somewhere where he's a plus one for someone, where he needs to make a good impression.)

"oh dang! i keep finding the same scallop shaped ones," jisoo grumbles, looking at the ones that jiho saw. "i'll have to go back down for some of the varied ones. you know... this feels like.. i feel silly saying it but..."
"real life animal-crossing new horizons." especially when they added the underwater feature where you could go down and dig up items. and the different shells on the beach. that's what it felt like. "i want to find every type of conch or shell possible now that the thought has come into my mind because i feel like the 'villager'," jisoo cackles, putting away the shells that he did find, preparing himself to go down below again. "alright, i'm going to try to target where you pointed to. give me a few moments," and he prepares to go back under, loving the peace that came along with being under the water's surface. spotting a small collective pile that looks as if someone had put them there, or if it was another underwater animal or mother nature's way of saying 'come here', jisoo slowly made his way in that direction. is this how mermaids felt? grabbing at a few, he maneuvers a bit further, trying to locate anything with a stark colour that would stand out to him.
popping back up, jisoo puts the shells in one area. "should we put back the ones that are repetitive?" anything for another excuse to go back down, to be honest.
everything is completely different under the water, he muses once he's ducked under on jisoo's count. it's not that he hadn't gone snorkeling or swimming before, but the experience feels a lot different when they're in a foreign country doing it. the water is nice and warm though, and jiho finds himself feeling a little distracted from the task at hand.
a part of him wishes he could take a picture with his eyes, of how vibrant the seascape is, even underwater. he wants to commit this to memory to see if he could paint it when he gets back.
spotting some shellfish, he glances around to see if jisoo's seen them before he swims over to grab at least one since he needs to resurface for air. breaking the surface of the water, jiho takes in a breath and looks around, waiting for jisoo to come out too and then waving him over. "there's a few more directly below here," he says, pointing downwards. "i grabbed one, but i think we could get two or three? they all looked different to me."

it was an amusing thing really, that it did not cross jisoo's mind who his team mates may or may not be. it was his initial error that he presumed perhaps his bus or villa mates would be part of his group but no - it was completely by random. assumptions were never a good thing. though jisoo does feel like he walked right into this one.
but it's a nice twist if there ever was one, but it does make his insides internally twist, wondering how this affects the total star count, considering he'd been collecting some alongside people who weren't his actual teammates in the end. ( also, what are the prizes? ha! ) it makes sense though, considering how the staff hadn't explicitly dictated what the teams were. and they specifically said roommates, and there was no confirmation that villa buddies were their team, so for those people who had assumed falsely, or had 'been lead to believe', that would be a human error on their end. ah. that is how the cookie crumbles isn't it. his name is called and he heads up, taking a seat near kai, jisoo is actually quite happy that one of the teammates he partnered up with at one point he'd collectively gotten some stars with. yay, teamwork indeed! wondering who else would be on the team, he sincerely hopes that they collected as many stars as they could, and as the others pile up, there are many, many familiar faces and he nudges sanghyun lightly as he passes by onto their bus. any more twists? he'd hope not, but knowing the staff, there probably would be another. don't tell him all that running was for nothing! at least give them some fun prizes, even if they're honorable mentions, or.. a delicious meal with everyone there. or even with the new team and a second phase. hey, jisoo can be competitive when he needs to be.

cerulean tour
mark this on his non-existent bucket list, jisoo is so excited to be able to snorkel. under the sea, under the sea. the song is kind of jingling in the back of his head as he is beside jiho, the two of them having been briefed on how to do said activity. it seems a bit excessive rather than finding shells on the sand, but imagine the things they could see here. too bad they couldn't bring along their phones but there was something to be said about being able to see something without having to be distracted by the camera's lens.
"ready when you are," jisoo says briefly, before the worldscape changes as they plunge into the water. the equipment that was a bit bulky and awkward above the surface is transformative underneath. they didn't have to stay next to each other, but it would probably be a good idea not to get split up too far. oh yea, no talking either, jisoo hums mentally, looking around. everything was so... vibrant. and beautiful. right, shells. looking for different types of shells...

jisoo chuckles lightly at the comments about height, but honestly, it probably didn't mean too much of a difference in terms of traditional running ( they are not usain bolt-ing this, no way- ) and jisoo has never been the most naturally athletic person anyway. height would be a farce in this situation. "half those names just went over my head..." he only knew sonic. good enough. go as fast as you can! jisoo mumbles a little and keeps his breathing steady. there was no point in thinking about theoreticals with him and he preferred to see results come out for themselves. a very basic no point in overthinking type of guy, but it also sometimes rendered him a bit empty-headed, as he stares off at the goal with only one thing in mind - win.
it's the perfect storm (no, no not a literal storm), the wind is so breezy in their hair, kai's is basically sparkling in the sun, the sun isn't in his eyes, and jisoo feels his body react before his mind does, and he's off, off, running with the sand slightly pulling him back. running in sand is not something jisoo is used to so that does throw him off initially, but he adapts, though for another tourist that they're competing against, thankfully there was no advantage to the locals. honestly, they might have done better on bare feet, because he could have sworn one of the tourists was wearing sandals.
oh! that was close - the tourist and he barely had much of a difference at the end goal, and he turns to the audience, awaiting the determination. "wait, who got here first? me right?" jisoo laughs with the tourist, while they await the result.
Thank the stars Jisoo has a sharp eye. While Kai keeps spotting sweet elderly couples he could never dream of dragging into a competition, his teammate zeroes in on two tourists who practically radiate excitement.
The two guys agree instantly, grinning like this is exactly the kind of chaos they signed up for. Kai, ever observant, takes a moment to size them up and laughs softly when he notices the height difference.
"Maybe I’ll go against you," he says, a playful lilt in his voice as he points to the shorter one. "You know, height equality. Wouldn’t want to give him too much of an advantage." He flashes a grin at the taller one, who only chuckles in return.
The sprint route is marked out within minutes, and as the tourists start warming up with exaggerated stretches, Kai turns to Jisoo. His tone shifts into something mock-serious, dramatic in the best way.
"You got this. Channel your inner Sonic. Speedy Gonzales. Lightning McQueen if you must!" It’s meant to tease, but as he watches Jisoo step toward the starting line, Kai realizes he’s more nervous for this race than his own. Competition is fun. But cheering someone on like this? That hits different. Feels bigger, somehow.

This may come as a surprise to those who were unaware of some things behind the scenes, but if it seems like I am taking a step back, and a step forward simultaneously, yes, it's true. I've done some self-reflection to determine what I truly want to do, and in a way, I feel like I was trying to do too many things, when I didn't have time for all of it in the universe. I don't know what the future brings, but I also don't want to regret - Regret not doing something, regret doing something - there's so much on my mind. And this is truly a ramble, I understand. So if it feels like you're seeing even less of me than usual, I will be back, I promise. This isn't the last you've seen of me. To those were expecting a grand gesture of a return, I am also apologetic that is not the case... But this is a little white flag to say that I'm still grateful to be here, and I'm grateful that YOU'RE here. See you soon.
#( insta : hanxan )#no seriously thank u to those who were here for me when i needed it - i am literally talking thru him rn

being around a bunch of guys on a bus. in living arrangements. sometimes jisoo wonders what he's thinking when he participates in these projects, which have such a high contrast to his modeling lifestyle, where he gets to stay in his own apartment. alone. at home. but hey, man's here to enjoy himself, get exposure, get exposure literally to the sun, and to a new country, he's happy, he's thriving- until the idea of talking to strangers to do these street activities - ah he should have known. the joys of variety and reality shows, combined. fortunately, he's paired with saem who is a very, very familiar person in his life. thank goodness.
"i mean, i have been working out a bit more than usual- granted i still kind of look like a noodle," jisoo furrows his brow and sticks out his arm too. slightly less limp noodle? "wait, do we alternate or should the stronger one of us do the arm wrestling and the other does the attracting of tourists and locals? what do you think?"
jisoo quirks his brows up and down at misaki, wondering which might be better, holding out his arm at the possibility of them duking it down. "we might run out of energy faster if one of us does it but they didn't necessarily give us a... time limit, right?"
☆ ⸝⸝ 𝐁𝐔𝐅𝐅 𝐁𝐎𝐘𝐒 , ft. @lgcjisoo.
misaki had always enjoyed traveling, the adventures that often ensued when away from home being memorable in the best of ways, so there seemed to be no end to his excitement as his hand delved deep into the baggie held before him by a staff member— working or not, he was still in vietnam with a myriad of activities to experience alongside the rest of the lgc boys members, so there was no doubt he'd make the most of things, starting with random room assignments.
with jittery hands, misaki pulls out a marble, eyes widening as they take in his fated color. for a moment, he'd been still, rarely silent, before a bright grin broke out across his features.
jisoo and jiho. oh yeah, this was gonna be good.
being roommates, naturally, opened the door in regards to teaming up for the challenge aspect of this little trip— that's how misaki finds himself roaming the resort with jisoo by his side, ready and eager to begin. "what about armwrestling!" misakis voice carries, gaze set on the older boy, brows furrowed. "do you think tourists would take that challenge from us . . . we could win that! we're strong!" to prove his point, misaki lifts an arm and flexes comically.

with more time in front of interviewers and variety, jisoo's gotten more comfortable with speaking without prompts. but the more practice, the better. it's not like he's actually done the traditional job interviews like some of his family has when they went down the more traditional route of careers and job interviews. these questions should be a lot easier, but for a person who journals occasionally, he's not very emotive or in tune with that topic specifically. more matter-of-fact rather than deep diving, it's something he'll have to work on. such as. right now.
"what would make you happiest: wealth, power, peace, or love?" jisoo pauses before answering, blinking idly. "peace would make me the happiest. i don't know if that meant 'world peace' or what type of 'peace', but for me, inner peace would be the most joyous. to be able to be at peace, no matter what is thrown at me, and move about the day without being bothered. imagine what you could do if you were not held back... by internal or external affects. wow."
"what, if anything, makes you feel insecure?" jisoo knows that this has shifted a lot over the years. initially, he was happy for anything. now he wonders if he's too picky. to convey that professionally though... "sometimes i contemplate if my selections in my choice of projects and collaborations make others question me, and my ability. quality over quantity can be seen as being too picky, or not being able to book the gigs. i'm very happy about the quality of my work and the brands i work with. but i hear the outward commentary at times. i try not to let it affect me.... but. it does. i'm young, i'm not made of steel. i am human."
the segway into the next question is perfect. "how much do you care what people think about you?" well. "i don't let what others think direct my choices, but it's tempting. i do what i want, and allow the judgment to simply be just that - commentary... it's the best way to work and in a way where i do not feel like i am compromising myself, and what i want for my career. this is my career after all, and not the public's."
"when you want to do something, do you dream about it or do you take action?' jisoo hums. he isn't that much of a thoughtful person. it is a clear cut answer. "i take action. i do not dilly-dally much. if i want something, i will work towards it, and eventually get there. i do not know of any other way to operate. dreaming about things is fine, but don't think too much about an unrealistic dream self. work towards an attainable realistic self. "

the passage of time since kai and jisoo got to do something together has definitely crept up on them - so being on the bus team was pretty great. the humidity stuck to his skin immediately after landing in Vietnam... and now to learn that they also had to run around, jisoo wishes that he had a portable fan. it's hot! but it gets him in the spirit of working while being 'on vacation' despite, really not being on vacation at all. but it felt like a party of sorts with the energy boys.
"you're right. i think it's best to find other guys our age. although... maybe we could ask those who want to volunteer to race us too, for a fair and square game but they might also be real serious runners." and he barely runs. maybe that's something jisoo should pick up again. cardio time, lets get serious.
he peers around, looking at the scenery, and spots two men who look to be in their age gap. and weren't in the sportiest clothes ever. "what do you think about those two? they could maybe be students?" something gave off that vibe. with their luck, one of them might be a sports major.
the pair of them made their way to the other set of gentlemen in a greeting, a little nervous but figuring it's better to shake off the nerves. after explaining a little bit about who they were, jisoo figures its best to jump right into it. "so... are you down to race with us? you versus me or kai, and the other against the other. your choice?"
run, run, run.
Here, on this breathtaking island in Vietnam, the last thing Kai expected was to be roped into racing tourists. But if there’s one thing five years under Legacy Entertainment has taught him, it’s this: always expect the unexpected. Idol life doesn’t just mean singing and dancing; it means impromptu games, public dares and laughing your way through the most random challenges imaginable.
Still, standing next to his teammate @lgcjisoo, Kai finds himself scanning the crowd with a strange mix of strategy and amusement, lips pursed in thought.
“We should probably go for those who look our age,” he muses, eyes flitting across sunhats and selfie sticks. “It’d be mean to go against the elderly.” He pauses “And I kind of fear these teens nowadays … they’re so tall. And fast. I swear, they’d outrun me in a blink.”
A sheepish laugh escapes him, one hand gesturing toward his own modest 171cm frame. It’s not that he isn’t confident, but there’s something humbling about realizing today’s sixteen-year-olds look like they’ve stepped out of a basketball academy. Must be the food, he thinks. Or the hormones. Or just karma. His gaze keeps sweeping until he leans closer to Jisoo, voice dropping into a conspiratorial whisper. “Do you see anyone fitting?”

"we can make it work, even if its..." jisoo side eyes lili, "a hole in the wall." at this point, most things truly were closed around this time, but he's sure there were some homely mom and pop shops, or businesses that knew they could take advantage of these days, where everyone else had off. "i promise, i am not dragging you to KFC or anything that defaults in that direction." that would make it even more of an unhappy birthday now, wouldn't it?
"but you didn't even have a birthday cake... we're going to have to remedy that." hopefully it didn't mean him baking one but if it had to happen. if his eye does a slight twitch, jisoo doesn't comment.
"not to be completely lacking adventure, it is not about me and i'd rather not completely misguide it so would you prefer something warm, or cold, relaxing... cozy, or random and," heaven forbid, "i am not going to give you the option of outdoorsy because a, we aren't dressed for it and b, i'd rather us not end up sick."
fun was not the word that could explain her mood but she supposes it was the best way to … levy the anguish that was swirling inside her. if she had expected anyone to stop her, such a feat goes without notice, their presence easily slipping through the doors like sand between ones fingers; quick, hard to hold onto and without fail, easy to miss.
lili knew she would hear no end of it later but she didn’t care about that, at least not now.
for the remainder of her birthday, lili wanted it to be about her.
and rather than wallow at home, moping about another failed birthday, she mulls jisoo’s suggestion with a tilt of her head; bracing the new year’s cold with a quick tug of her jacket around her shoulders. “what do you have in mind?” the night was still young but — it was the beginning of the new year, what were the odds somewhere had room to accommodate them?

have you gone out to see warrior baek dong-soo yet? catch the play while you can to catch sights of many budding and new actors including han jisoo! it's not his first time on stage, but he definitely has more lines this time in his role as yang cho-rip. i was lucky enough to go see the play once, okay, a few times! ( i admit, i admit, i am a fan of him to begin with, and he didn't get many lines in his acting debut. i faintly recall... one singular line. ) i don't usually watch dated period drama type things, but this was really nice. and i admit, i did go to multiple showings because i really wanted to be able to go to the meet and greet... and i finally got in!
as nice as it was seeing jisoo on stage, it was even nicer to see him out of costume during the meet and greet for warrior baek dong-soo. he was extremely professional and truly polite and kind during the whole hour. i am thankful to now have a photo with him that i will cherish forever! sorry if it sounds like i'm bragging. i am a big fan of his since he started off as model. i feel like a proud sister to see him blossom in his career.
[ + / - ] ahh i'm surprised to see him acting again! i thought xander went down the route of idol? or am i forgetting things. seems like he is trying out a few things and i wish the best for him ^^ [ + / - ] omg save some meet & greet chances for the rest of us. i'm happy for you but i am jealous, alas... i only have time and money to attend one of the showings soon and i have my fingers crossed TT [ + / - ] this is so funny. he's only a supporting character, why are you acting like he's the main actor?? he's just one of the many faces that are in the ensemble roles. chill outttt.

anti-romantic
oh okay. this isn't exactly the thing he's going for, in fact, it's the opposite of what he wants to go for. but sometimes when they're a part of a company and the company wants them to do said thing, he's going to have to go with it. its not like he has to eat it himself, and it doesn't have to represent him. but still, jisoo isn't going to concoct the sweetest thing on the planet when he does not enjoy that at all.
"matcha or coffee-type would be nice. i think a coffee essence or filling would be more 'me'," especially since he had a campaign ongoing with kanu. his fans would probably catch the sentiment immediately. "dark chocolate, preferably. i like less sugar but i know there needs to be some with chocolates in order for it not to taste like chalk." yes he did try the 100% cocoa ones before and those were..... it left little to be desired, and jisoo would much rather not have any chocolate at all. "if we could have a sweet and strong coffee syrup in it, and a dark chocolate shell, in a simple triangle shape. i would really like that."
"good morning, afternoon, or evening. are you surprised by the note? i suppose mine is not the only one you are reading today. but hopefully you were not expecting it and you will like it. i want to thank you for being here. if you have not had a good day today, that is okay. take some time for yourself, to rest, or meditate for a few minutes, to relax. we often forget to take care of ourselves when there is so much going on in our lives. put on a face mask. make a cup of tea or coffee. listen to a song you like. remember that you are loved! tomorrow is a brand new day. - xander"
