since his item was only semi-useful, jisoo really wants to make himself useful. and that would be in the method of looking for outward food in the nature around them in the form of berries or... fish? he's not sure if fishing would be realistic if they're missing equipment but some berries and fruits would be a good thing to try to gather right now. and less dangerous, probably. he's walking beside akio and a local guide, avoiding any branches that are at face level, especially if they swing it into the person behind them. yow. "it's so humid here," jisoo mentions in passing, rubbing at his temple. "our skin should be glowing by the end of all this, right? who even needs face cushion right now-" and honestly, it's very nice to let their skin breathe. "i wonder if mushrooms grow in this region? or is it more about trying to spot the edible herbs and berries, and the non-poisonous ones?"

he takes a sidestep towards a tree. "these fruits look really juicy, are they ripe? or..... good to eat?" in which the guide took a look and shook his head, mentioning they're actually not ripe at all, which meant they would be very bitter. yea, jisoo doesn't know much about any foreign fruits or picking anything from the actual tree or plant. it's so daunting to him. "good thing we have a guide, because otherwise, i'd likely be starving overnight. have you spotted anything yet?" @lgcakio

There’s a lack of colour in his physical surroundings. It’s disturbing how his aesthetic used to be, but that is his past self judging himself. Slowly through the years, colour has seeped in through its own ways, through work projects, clothing pieces, the colourful book colours that littered his bookshelf, the art products he picked up here and there without much commitment. Commitment…. He cannot commit to it yet, changing the entirety of his apartment but the secondary room could be the sacrifice.

It’s where his bookshelf sits as well, so it feels organic. But he could test adding in the deco here, starting with curtains, and a rug. If it’s an excuse to go shopping, he won’t admit it. He foregoes the IKEA and finds local shops instead. Somehow, a pastel chair follows him home and some tabletop decorations too. A colourful vase that will soon hold some flowers, and glass trinkets here and there.

After assembly, it’s strange. He feels refreshed here, less contained and confined. It’s all part of growth, Jisoo supposed, he could change his mind tomorrow. But with this being housed as his new hobby and creative room, he doesn’t feel stifled. The hiatus on AURORA this time around while seeing those around him flourish initially made him feel queasy, but everything is set in a way for a reason. Hopefully he will be able to find out what is within that makes him tick.

they've had their pair of bad ideas before, but for some reason they still find themselves rooted into this position, in the bathroom. they clearly must be crazy. it's in the gene pool, evidently. granted, he's looked through his handful of short hair pictures too and it looks like a great hairstyle, especially during the summer. he knows hyunhee will look very cute with it. but is he really the one that ought to be the welder of the snippets? the corner of his eye tweaks lightly as he moves the scissors up to above her shoulder, before going significantly lower. "you're right. i need to get the hang....... of your hair texture first," he finishes, an excuse clearly. but jisoo's a bit daunted by the whole ordeal. again. remind them why they aren't scheduling an appointment outside at a salon? but with the hour of day it was, clearly none were opened right now.

"okay, what's the ideal short goal you want? you have so much hair." it grew out rather long lately, the type of hair that people would die for with extensions. but jisoo knew well that she could grow it out again and again, and that they were creatures of change and not habit. ( in a way, it was type of a habit cycle. ) "like... here?" he held his hand up to her chin. "joking. maybe... here?" down a few more inches on her shoulder. i'll snip off a bit first but you know once i do the first cut, we can't go back," he laughs a little, exchanging a look with hyunhee before the dramatic snip made the telltale sound of a cut. "oh shit."

as she stands in her bathroom working on her part, hyunhee wonders when this had become tradition for the two of them. somewhere along the line, any time one of them wanted to do something to their hair, the other was involved. of course, most of the time it had to do with dyeing, not cutting.

turning away from the mirror and in turn her reflection, she takes a deep breath before attempting to hand the scissors in her hands over to jisoo. she’s nervous, she hasn’t done anything like this before. she wonders what haeun will think. of course, hyunhee has let her know beforehand that she was thinking of chopping her hair, but just how short? she hadn’t been sure at the time and now after looking through inspo pictures she’s decided that, well, the shorter the better.

“okay, so my plan was that you cut some off little by little. then we just go from there?” she asks jisoo, unsure of how to approach this. “we can stop before it gets too short, in case i have to go see a professional to touch up your sloppy work,” hyunhee laughs.

jisoo definitely winces at the idea of using fish with the water bottle. "w....................................no! the water with the filter is for... making the water clean for us to drink. i don't think it could filter out the fishiness. none of us brought a fishing kit or fishing pole huh? what about if we tried foraging for mushrooms or something more realistic?" the corners of his mouth wilt into a grimace. "we can bench the idea, i guess." his eyes are wide and he glances from the water, and back too haru. "in case of a real emergency." but the model genuinely felt like every moment of being on this filming session felt like an emergency. his chill side was really not coming across this time around.

"maybe.... we could use your pillowcase as some sort of trap or something. or..... a carrier for foraging. how about that? you'd still have the base pillow," jisoo says slowly, looking away from haru to twiddle a little with the bottle in his hand, and taking a little sip. heh. "here's to wishing i watched every single season of survivor with my dad when i was younger, but i think i only watched one season. my attention span was so poor!" but he was definitely not the survival mode type. wishing for air conditioning, a portable fan, water he could drink at all times... some caffeine. he better stop thinking about those things and get back to the situation of reality right now.

"we need to also get a fire started, yea. otherwise any live food we catch would be pointless."

"in my defense--!" haru exclaims in response, ready to (try and) defend his choice now that it's been revealed how that survey they had filled out way back when impacted their current situation. "i assumed that being sent to a deserted island meant i'd be alone so of course i'd only say i'd bring a single pillow!!"

what he doesn't say, obviously, is that he hadn't really given his survey answers much thought when they were asked to fill it out prior to the show-- or else he may have guessed that if they were asking about what they'd bring to a deserted island then it might mean they'd end up on one (or at least in a similar condition, since where they really ended up was a park in a country that's a frequent tourist destination). if he knew there was a potential for this, he probably would've picked something deemed more useful!

(haru wants to believe he would, anyways.)

"jokes on you if you think i'll let anyone borrow my pillow," haru adds on with a pretend huff, playing up his act for the camera. "everyone asked why i chose a pillow but you'll all wish you had one too when we have to sleep out here!!" as for other uses for his pillow, well... surely he'll find something to do with it aside from sleeping, right?

that was a problem for later though; currently, jisoo had asked something haru thought was important to figure out right now: food. "oh... i think we'll have to," he says a bit hesitantly, turning to look out at the nature surrounding them. "we only have some rations so we're going to have to find other food sources... should we try fishing with your water bottle? like we try to catch fish inside it..." haru knows he's the one suggesting this but just visualizing them trying to is making him squint in doubt so much that he can't even laugh at the image forming in his mind. were they really going to be okay these next two days?

survival mode

"i don't blame anyone for bringing a pillow, but. i wish it was.... a whole bunch of pillows," jisoo says flatly as he looks at haru's fluffy pillow. it looked nice too. good quality. and totally starkly out of left field for this whole ordeal. he wished that he'd put more thought into the response he provided when they initially gave before the show, but now... but some of the things he'd thought of afterwards, the management had provided anyway in forms of rations and swiss army knives. but. hey. the pillow wasn't the worst item of the lot. ( seriously, he's not complaining at this point. ) "we could take turns and have naps on it... or something! this is starting to feel like survivor." utter blasphemy, how did they turn out like this, after the nice vacation-type feeling of the first portion of lgc boys energy. "to be honest, i think that the pillowcase could be quite useful for some other things." granted, jisoo didn't know if it would have the chance to be utilized in the 48 hours that they'd spend out here but there's a part of him that truly wishes that they could be indoors right now and that he was lounging in air conditioning...

jisoo licks his lips, carefully looking at all of their belongings. all their items. they hadn't been the winners of the ramen. "do we have to... go out and hunt... or fish? or catch other things to eat?"

many that knew jisoo from when he was younger would know that smarts and academia were not his strongest assets, but as he's grown into himself, he realizes a lot of it was just.... lacking the thought or connecting the dots. he's not inherently dumb-as-hell, even if that is what he thought when he was younger... but some things do take a little bit longer to clue in for him. that being said, childhood seems far away despite his young age, but he's had quite a few travels and moves even at this age.

not always being the type to easily bond to someone, it felt natural when he and akio met and became acquainted. there was always a familiar air or ease of being comfortable, if jisoo had to put it into words. and he liked that he didn't have to think before he spoke, or sit around in awkward silence.

at akio's question, jisoo feels his neck crane towards akio, his temple creasing at the question. cut out what he said earlier about not having to think before he spoke, because the gears in his mind are physically grinding as he thinks. "um... yea i did travel to tokyo with my parents when i was younger. but much younger. i never did get very good with learning Japanese, even now." he chews the inside of his cheek, eyes narrowing. he remembered the frequent visits until they stopped out of nowhere, which sucked because he actually really liked visiting the neighbouring country. "wait............. wait......."

he pulls out his phone and takes out a picture of the choco monaka jumbos. "i remember eating these like.. nearly every time i went back." his eyes flicker from his phone to akio, eyes wide. "foggy memories of this weird purple chocolate i can't find anymore from my childhood.....?" it's like his mind is disjointed and slowly trying to remember things from a foggy youth and flashbacks that aren't so seared into his mind. "wait- you know, jisoo is my korean name but its not what i went by as a kid..."

the rooftop of legacy is a legendary spot for a reason. many things happen there, good and bad, and as much as everybody ends up there often... it’s somehow never crowded. as if it knows to give you exactly what you need at a given time. it reminds akio of the room of requirement in harry potter. which is why he’s a bit startled when he comes across @lgcjisoo when he arrives.

they’ve always been friendly. hung out a few times with mutual friends, sharing pleasant conversations and having quite a few laughs together. though akio wouldn’t necessarily categorize him as a ‘close friend’, he��s always felt this strange sense of familiarity whenever he spends time with jisoo. like a thread tugging at the back of his mind every time they pass each other in the hallways at legacy. it brings back… something. not quite a memory, just a feeling, like he’s met him before. somewhere that probably mattered, somewhere that wasn’t legacy.

he’s always wanted to ask him about it, but never found the right opportunity to do so. it felt random and… crazy, even. to think that he somehow knows this random korean guy from when he barely knew south korea was a country. he doesn’t know what takes over him today, why he approaches jisoo with this at all. maybe it’s the result of not feeling like himself lately.

“hey,” akio says casually, stepping next to jisoo, arms resting on the railing. “do you… have a second?” he scratches the back of his neck, expression slightly awkward. “this might sound weird, but— did you ever spend time in tokyo? like, when you were a kid?” he pauses, eyes fixed on jisoo as if scrutinizing his features in search of something he can’t quite figure out. 

“only asking ’cause you’ve always felt kind of… familiar. not just ‘we’ve worked together’ familiar,” he clarifies quickly. “more like… ‘we played with water balloons on a balcony and ate convenience store ice cream in summer’ familiar. which doesn’t really make sense to me but… ” he chuckles awkwardly. “i don’t know, forget it. it’s just been bugging me.”

do you guys remember the episode of intimate note with actress baek seona and the model han jisoo? i know it was a while ago, but hear me out. did anyone else think something about it was . . . odd? specifically, their behavior throughout the episodes was really strange.

jisoo's body language read totally uncomfortable. he even looked a little scared? don't get me wrong, i'd be sweating bullets if i had to sit in front of seona, but i'm just a commoner — he's a celebrity! like, he shouldn't look that awkward in front of her? unless there was something else going on between the two of them, right?

i need to know the tea because there was totally something up with them. please, i just have to know what went on behind closed doors with those two. does anyone know anything that i don't and care to share?

[ + / - ] wow, i completely forgot about this until you brought it up again! there weren't any articles published about it during that time but their behavior was suspicious to me too. i was always curious but dropped it because i thought i was the only one. [ + / - ] i heard rumors that they never liked each other but i wonder if that still holds true? i wonder if intimate note was their way of making up? [ + / - ] why does everyone assume weird things? at the end of the day they're just co-workers. i wouldn't be surprised if it was scripted this way for drama but no one really caught on or cared enough.

The life of Han Jisoo if he continued being Alexander Han.

the life of an unremarkable boy. jisoo's thought of this many times, even when he was in school following behind keeho like a little minion back in school. His grades were always below average, he didn't particularly excel in anything, and the way he auditioned for legacy was because he thought it'd be fun to go alongside his friends to try for something, but also expect nothing... but the same could be said since once he got within the company, he didn't feel confident enough to debut as an idol, which is why he chose to go down to modeling. what else would he be doing? lets go into this alternate universe and envision the life of alexander.

for those who wanted to say some individuals peaked during highschool, alexander didn't even feel that way. he wasn't great or some super sports star in highschool, wasn't popular or much of... anything. his nose crinkles slightly when he watches any show or reads any book where someone had that whole.... significant moment in their life that really proved they 'lived'. alex may be a young adult, but nothing like that has happened to him yet. a peacefully plain life. a loving family. hyunhee and he meet up often to go to places like ikea and check out the food and furniture, and other things. they often had family dinner at either's home which was pretty neat too, making it a regular thing. his relationship with his parents were strong as ever, expect for the times where they tried to push him into the right direction of doing something right with his job and life. so if that's the thing he's got to complain about, its really not that bad, its really not that bad. that's right. the bane of his life, going on this damn stupid job interviews, with his photo stuck on the top of his resume. alexander absolutely hates the job market with a passion, but despises the way korea does interviewing. it feels completely different from the way Canada does it. after a few unsuccessful bouts, alex had to look at reapplying back to school, despite not feeling comfortable with the idea. he was never a good student, but maybe its because they were trying to make him study everything, rather than what he liked. sciences, maths, really not his forte. but what about... writing.... and the creatives? his parents didn't love the idea, wanting him to go into the big few genres of studies but alex knew if he tried that, he'd certainly fail. the other thing, would he even get into school with his old grades...? especially with how competitive everything was nowadays.... god. his life sucked.

that's the crossroads alex is in right now - going back to school, or finding a different job that was better than being a sales associate, but that's where you'll find him now. spritzing fragrance on people's arms, and asking if they needed assistance with finding any other products or anything else at a boutique. he fronts the jo malone with a few other ladies, and smelling nectarine blossom and honey for the 500th time in a week is considered a highlight of his day. bringing back gratis and samples for his family... he guesses that could be considered a perk. but alex feels like he could be destined for more. no? he sets the novel he's reading down. ( yes, he picked up reading as a hobby eventually in this life too! ) or is he reading too many unrealistic inspiring stories lately that make him feel as if he could do more, yet not be able to have it in reach...? time to give seyoon a call and see if they could hang out and/or talk things out to get the bad juju out.

"first things first, do you think the quality of this camera is a lot better than my usual vlogging one? now are you even more surprised when i say it is actually the Samsung S25? phones have come so far from since i was little - although my mom did not let me have a phone when i was younger... " jisoo's eyes dart to the left, laughing at the thought. "i was always a bit jealous of the other students in my class that did have them. but it was good discipline-wise. i understand why she did it. i am still not the biggest fan of screentime - which is a bit ironic since that is what i am using right now to film this!"

"now what i'm going to do today is go to a few fashion houses in korea today as if i were on a go-see. have you seen the.... 'next top model' series? the Korean one felt a little less intense than the American, but the American version always felt so cut throat. do this many go-sees in this many hours. i want to see if its even possible to do two or three in that time," jisoo says, "so i'll pick out a few houses, and we'll go check it out on my handy-dandy GPS," jisoo says, tapping on his galaxy watch. "come follow me as we make our way to 'Hyein So', 'LOWCLASSIC' and 'MINJUKIM'. i won't be doing any actual go-see, but i wanted to time it and also check out this purse for my mom."

there were a few cuts while the camera followed him and his GPS map, weaving them through some malls and through the mainways. "i love that it knew the mall was open and told us to go through rather than making me waste five minutes by walking around. realistic and efficient," jisoo chuckles, grinning as he walks to the MINJUKIM store. "and we are here! no fuss, no muss. thank you GPS," and he walks through the doors, hoping they would have some mannequins, showcasing their newest line. "last year, they had this beautiful line called 'fairy's shadow'." this year's newest collection is called 'chanran', brilliant. vibrant. their silhouettes are unique and special. what i am happy about is that fashion sense is less 'this is for men, this is for women', and that we often interchange clothes for each other in the industry. i would be down for this outfit. okay, i guess i should be good with my wallet too. we will head to Hyein So next... so let me plug that in right now, and see you soon!"

XANDER: OFF THE RUNWAY ⇀ EPISODE 030

may luck favour the bold. or foolish. whatever they say. he's had the brilliant, and amazing idea to film his bouts into an escape room alone, but that's exactly what he's chosen to do. and jisoo isn't necessarily the most intelligent guy in the universe either so there is a part of him that is woefully regrettable as he sits here in front of a puzzle now. funny, as the introduction part of the video had him gleefully saying his usual greetings to the fans, "gooood morning, we are here bright and early but only after i've had breakfast because i could not imagine doing this on an empty stomach," jisoo declares, grinning at the cameraman who would be his only companion as he went in to the escape room. "have you done escape rooms before? i hear they were pretty popular back in the day and i actually do enjoy the idea of them, but i am not sure how good i am at problem and puzzle solving. but i wanted to give it a try."

considering there was an hour limit on the room, jisoo genuinely hoped that he would be able to finish before the time was up, but this was also usually meant to be a group task. "maybe i should have invited some of the boys from lgc boys..." he says to no one in particular, as he grumbles looking at the device that looked like a bank bomb that was about to go off. not unnerving at all. the green bright lights stared at him and he looked back to the panel on the other side of the room that looked identical. maybe there was a theme here. but maybe the numbers were different? jisoo stands back up and goes back to the other panel and figures this might be a lost cause. "i think i need to take a break from this area and look at the other puzzle here," the model walks towards a dresser, vanity looking like case with many drawers. time to look through each drawer to see if there was anything of use. going through the first drawer seemed to be a lot of papers at disarray but the symbols must mean something. he kept that in mind for now, opening the second and third drawers, manuvering through. "oh finally an object! a key... we did see two keyholes earlier in other sections of the room, didn't we? must be for one of those. that feels so long ago. now where were they?" and the clock continued to tick, dropping down to 38 minutes. the mission goes on. but whether it will be a success or not, will truly be up to his wit and luck.

fashion analysis ;

an outfit, from the clothing, down to the accessories and shoes, is a very relevant thing to jisoo. it doesn't dictate his life, but it has quite the emphasis. he will purposely dress up a certain way and be mindful about it, but it does not necessarily take up a big portion of his life: rather, it is something he will think about the evening before and set aside for the morning. he is that type of individual, and does not prefer to rush around in the AM. comfort. for casual days at home, working out, training, there's a set of clothes for this type of casual. to the next degree he also has 'casual going out' clothes, that he may reserve for vlog filming, or for visiting family for a non-specific event. when he is wearing these clothes, he's probably the most reserved, and most close-to-his genuine self, albeit different if he is vlogging of course. when he's behind the cameras, in clothes that aren't angled or stiff in a particular way, jisoo feels most like his inner skin. typically found at home in the corner of his apartment reading a book. styled. a bit more coifed, semi-formal. everything is more shapely, pinched, shoes are not the type to be tumbling around in. jisoo feels more 'at ease' when he's out of his casual clothes if he has to make a public appearance. you won't typically find him in transit where he will be photographed wearing something that isn't purposely styled (although his casual clothes are always tidy and fitted too). jisoo enjoys dress shirts, all types of different shoes, and slacks. an air of professionalism and confidence comes with the attire. to the next degree, one will find jisoo in a dress shirt, blazer, or a three piece. he won't wear this without reason, but when he does, jisoo will typically feel tip-top of the world, especially if he has something important to do (such as hosting an event, attending a gala or party, somewhere where he's a plus one for someone, where he needs to make a good impression.)

"oh dang! i keep finding the same scallop shaped ones," jisoo grumbles, looking at the ones that jiho saw. "i'll have to go back down for some of the varied ones. you know... this feels like.. i feel silly saying it but..."

"real life animal-crossing new horizons." especially when they added the underwater feature where you could go down and dig up items. and the different shells on the beach. that's what it felt like. "i want to find every type of conch or shell possible now that the thought has come into my mind because i feel like the 'villager'," jisoo cackles, putting away the shells that he did find, preparing himself to go down below again. "alright, i'm going to try to target where you pointed to. give me a few moments," and he prepares to go back under, loving the peace that came along with being under the water's surface. spotting a small collective pile that looks as if someone had put them there, or if it was another underwater animal or mother nature's way of saying 'come here', jisoo slowly made his way in that direction. is this how mermaids felt? grabbing at a few, he maneuvers a bit further, trying to locate anything with a stark colour that would stand out to him.

popping back up, jisoo puts the shells in one area. "should we put back the ones that are repetitive?" anything for another excuse to go back down, to be honest.

everything is completely different under the water, he muses once he's ducked under on jisoo's count. it's not that he hadn't gone snorkeling or swimming before, but the experience feels a lot different when they're in a foreign country doing it. the water is nice and warm though, and jiho finds himself feeling a little distracted from the task at hand.

a part of him wishes he could take a picture with his eyes, of how vibrant the seascape is, even underwater. he wants to commit this to memory to see if he could paint it when he gets back.

spotting some shellfish, he glances around to see if jisoo's seen them before he swims over to grab at least one since he needs to resurface for air. breaking the surface of the water, jiho takes in a breath and looks around, waiting for jisoo to come out too and then waving him over. "there's a few more directly below here," he says, pointing downwards. "i grabbed one, but i think we could get two or three? they all looked different to me."
