lgcbyungho:
“yes..” he spoke “i’m guessing you are mirae?” that was a great entrance and he wasn’t going to not acknowledge it. “what was that earlier?” he asked with arms crossed “is that how you always walked into a room” he tease playfully. even though he didn’t know her that well he would say that she definitely made it easy for him to feel comfortable - but still guarded.
“it was like watching those pro wrestler on tv.” byungho laugh remember to when him an his ex friends used to enjoy watching such crazy stuff on television. “all you’re missing now is like a theme song.” he joked. “I might need to record that for later. yes this is me bluntly telling you I plan on stealing those dance moves.”
“ record away!”  as soon as he spoke of recording her to steal her dance moves, mirae practically preened with the praise she had showered upon him. after all, there was nothing more amazing and admirable at the fact that someone wanted to record her in all of her amazing glory. “ i don’t watch pro wrestlers, but yes, you are right. i am the one and only--yoon mirae!”  she crowed, finishing her introduction with a exaggerated flourish and a magnificent bow.
perfect.
that had to be one of her most splendid attempts in introducing herself.
sans the scattering salt onto minseok and well, amongst other doubtful things that she could have possibly done or said (wasn’t her fault that she couldn’t remember them all. there was just too many.)
“ and please, steal away. but as long as you remember to credit me.” she grinned, a hand pressed against her chest as she glided towards him with a wide grin. “ and no actually, this is the first time that i’ve chosen to do an introduction this way. they said musical theater, and it’s always been somewhat in my head that theater is a little...dramatic.”  she savoured the word lightly. “and besides, what better way to make an impression on you, whether it’s good or not.”  she sticks her tongue out. “ i hope it’s a good impression, though.”  she tossed her hair back slightly, stretching herself out as she exhaled.
“since you did mention it though, why don’t you make a theme song for me or something? i’ll be sure to use it.”  she winked at him, clicking her tongue against her teeth with a cackle. “i’ve had other ways of making myself impressionable and interesting but i’m sure--that was refreshing in a way for you to watch, wasn’t it?”  she kicked her feet up, stretching herself across the chairs as she smirked at byungho.
“ now.”  she held herself as commandingly as she possibly could whilst lying upon her stomach. “ your turn, byungho.”  she crowed, pointing to the floor. “ come come, the dance floor and the introductions can’t wait. introduce yourselve to me, just like how i did just now!”

lgcjinyoung:
“I mainly joined to get away from my parents and to be closer to jinseo hyung. they accepted me easily and well
I never really had to work hard for anything.” by now he doesn’t bother to even try and hide that fact, knowing it would just come across as fake humbleness that made him look even more stuck up. so instead he merely shrugged his shoulders. “after being here for three years though
performing is fun. I could see myself be an idol but I think being a model is
well it’s nice. it kind of combines what I like most. I enjoy staying fit regardless so there’s no need for me to go out of my way to look great. it doesn’t require me to put up a huge act of who I may not be and it also doesn’t expose me to the public scrutiny as much as being an idol would. I feel comfortable with the idea of being a model
i think that’s what’s most important. kind of following into hyung’s footsteps would be nice as well, I think,” he tags on, humming pleasantly beneath his breath as he sways back and forth on his heels a little before moving along to motion the way. “are you on the run or do you want to sit down for a bit?”
“then--just do it.” the answer was already pre-written, simple as how he had answered her with a soft smile and a firm nod, eyes aglow lightly with both something familiar that she had regularly seen amongst their family members--ambition.
it was a pretty sight to see, mirae contemplated lightly to herself, fingers gently rubbing against her chin with the lightest hum.
“and no,i absolutely am not running away from anything.” she completely ignored the fact that she was--and still is , currently trying to avoid a one particular minseok as she plops herself down generously, even before jinyoung mentions a single thing. after all, mirae was always one to act upon her whims and fancies, regardless of whether or not she considered the public opinion or general opinion of it. “i just bought myself a nice little drink, and i’d like to take my time to enjoy it.” she raised her straw, taking a wild stab right at the top of the drink, puncturing a hole through the cap and taking in a deep sip of her starbucks drink. “hm.” she hummed, nose scrunching at the overly sweet taste ( surely, they must have added a little too much beyond her usual requests.). she frowned, lifting the drink slightly above her head before settling it back down upon the table, half hearing whatever it was that jinyoung was saying.
“rather than following someones footsteps--why not forge your own path?” she raised a brow, rather perplexed as to why someone like jinyoung would only desire to emulate his  sibling, in contrast to taking a pitch fork and carving a road out for himself, like she did. “forging paths may be hard, but i’m sure that someone like you would enjoy it.” her head tilted slightly, a cheeky little grin fluttering over her lips. “like me.” she pointed to herself, finger stabbing right in her chest. “but not that i blame you really. we all start from somewhere.” she studied her nails for a moment. “for me, it was acting, and then it was my younger sibling.” her fingers glided over the sides of the chair elegantly. “and then my ambition grew, and there we have it.” she said lightly, skirting carefully over the topic of her and minseok having been barred in the past.
surely, he didn’t hold such grudges against her for troubling his hyung, didn’t he?
“and i hope you help me...ahem..” she cleared her throat a little awkwardly, almost glancing at jinyoung a little greasily as she rubbed her hands together, as though attempting to make a little plea. “well, minseok isn’t that mad at me, isn’t he?” she crossed her legs and huffed, pouting. “i’d count you as someone pretty lucky.” she frowned. “a brother, cousins that care for you, and parent possibly too.” she vaguely knew of her aunts and uncles, though anyone from her parents’ sides of the family always left a rather unimpressive impression upon her. (her own parents, were otherwise...even worse) . “you’ve got more than just all the time in the world, jinyoung.” mirae murmured softly, settling her drink down one more time to glance at her cousin seriously. you probably didn’t hear much of my shit but--i count the fact that you have a choice in what you want to do leading up to becoming an idol as incredibly lucky.” she paused. “being comfortable is one thing. it’s always more than easy to be comfortable with something, but the difference lies in whether you desire or love it so much that your passion burns for it.” she tapped her fingers lightly against the table. “that decides on the longevity of whatever it is that you want. or sometimes, even ideas.”

menace mirae
to let the hilarity finally ensue, for @lgcbyungho
if there was something that mirae had in spades, it was her confidence in singing (even though it was a plain miserable feat of hers and hers only--to be able to sing every single key on the white keyboards of the piano, completely out of tune).
in fact, the actress had taken to spending her days of boredom in her own apartment with every single possible rendition of musicals: from romeo and juliet to the sound of music (needless to say, courtesy of her extra self, she employed herself effectively in all roles), prepped and arm with her blankets and cartoon pjs upon her frame. it had been something that she was intent on doing, ever since the announcement that they had to work on their musical acting.
surely, everyone would now see the genius that is yoon mirae, she thought to herself gleefully, basking in her personal satisfaction and imagination of her figure gliding dramatically across the stage, clad in a mix of costumes.
she grinned to herself, squinting slightly at the piece of paper that she had written upon her partner’s name for the workshop. byungho. mirae squinted, a calculative finger tapping against her chin as she hummed.
there were vague memories of him in her thoughts--if nothing, mirae prided herself in being able to vaguely remember impressionable, hot young men, as many as there were in legacy. byungho dressed coolly, that was a fact that she recalled in her mind as she danced her way flamboyantly towards byungho, eager and ready to introduce herself with a majestic little flourish.
skip, hop, wiggle on the spot, bow.
she swept the imaginary hat off her head in a wide sweeping bow, eyes half closed as she smirked impishly up at byungho, whom she was now in front of, the clear confidence over that series of absolutely horrible dance steps shining as bright as the sun.
she gave him a fantastic, wide grin.
“byungho, right?”

for @lgcxsnl , belated and chaos finally in the making.
it had to be some kind of apparition that she was seeing.
mirae was sure of it.
goosebumps rose over her skin as she raised the cocktail she had just ordered to her lips, eyes wide as she took another sip of her drink, a trembling smile upon her face as she fixed her gaze in the last place she had seen that tall handsome young man hover in her periphery.
next time. the next time laurent was going to do this--she was going to grab him by his ear and yell. even if she had been the person to puke all over his shirt the last time they had met.
the world swam slightly before her eyes as she took another dainty little sip, standing abruptly to her feet as she whipped her head around, almost sure with her tingling sixth sense that laurent was hiding, somewhere round the corner.
“laurent--”  she gritted her teeth in a magnificent smile, closing her eyes as she whipped around, hand to her chest as she swayed right in the same spot, almost nauseous once more as she squinted at everything swimming before her eyes.
hmm....perhaps, she was a little drunker than she originally thought.
“ laurent~”  she cooed, a sanguine smile of devilish thoughtfulness filling her voice as she swayed once more, exhaling alcohol in the same breath as she took another sip of her drink, covering her mouth with her hand as she mildly hiccupped. “ please tell me that you’re--”  she barely manages to finish her sentence when she finds herself staring at a pair of familiar shoes, and the urge to vomit overwhelms her once more as she bent over, heaving onto those immaculate shoes (with such precision) what had been the leftovers of her dinner and alcohol.
“fuckkkkk.”  she moaned, feeling her stomach churn, cracking her eyes open to spare a glance at the person in front of her, a deep sense of deja vu filling her as she pressed her hand to her forehead and pouted. “well...i guess..oops?”

lgchyoseop:
and he was sitting with mirae, the two changing between telling stories to the kids, and they all seemed to enjoy it. then mirae switches over to something not as cute and calm. in a second hyoseop’s hand is smacked over mirae‘s lips and he chuckles awkwardly. “well
”.
“who wants to try braiding mirae’s hair? i’ll show you how to do it!”.
                                                                        <3 @lgcxmirae
when it was announced that they would have something called the babysitting services, mirae volunteered for this with a--perpetually sincere heart. after all, she knew that she was more than capable of taking care of little kiddos. her brother had been one for the longest time after all.
she remembered combing his hair, making food for him--surely tiny tots like those children in the babysitting services would not pose something of a threat to her. what she did not bet on however, was hyoseop being one of her many partners in helping to care for the children. she was more than capable of taking care of kids all on her own really, as sufficed by the terrible image of dumplings that she had been pinching together meticulously for lunch, legs spread apart as she squinted at the creature (that seemed more like a monstrous monster than a little dumpling sitting in the palm of her hand) that she was trying her best to pinch together, brows scrunched deep in astute concentration.
her ears twitched at the mention of her hair, finally looking up from her job at hand, and noticing the bored stares of the energetic children, flour dotted upon her nose as she scrunched her nose at hyoseop.
“ my hair? is your fe...interest for it coming back again?”  she swallows the dangerous word quickly, turning it into a harmless one as she shrugged her dark hair over her shoulder. “ why don’t you do it on one of the kid’s hair instead?”  she pouted, huffing as a young kid attached themselves to her leg. “ i’m trying to make this....this--”  she twisted the top of the dumpling together, frustrated little noises bubbling from her lips as she tried to pinch the dough together, bit down upon her bottom lip, a terrifyingly dangerous smile dancing upon her face. “i’m fine. this is fine. i’ll eventually pinch that dough thing together.”  she chanted, sucking in a deep breath as she tilted back her head. “ i’m not gonna lose my cool and chuck the poor dumpling against the wall.”

lgchyoseop:
if hyoseop thought about it actually, if he used his brain, something which he didn’t do often, he enjoyed the company of mirae. hyoseop wasn’t used to people sticking around, most people came and left in the blink of an eye, and it was understandable, because who wanted to stick around to the most confident self-centered person ever? but mirae had been there for more than a month now, something people didn’t usually do. and maybe it wasn’t a friendship completely the two had gained, but whatever it was, hyoseop was happy to have mirae around, and he wanted to keep her around, not just to flirt, but to make her smile.
“ oh, i’ll definitely not be allowed in your dorm.”  mirae couldn’t help but chuckle at hyoseop’s tentative suggestion. “ just like how i think you probably aren’t allowed in mine? maybe they do if we keep it friendly-ish and nothing out of line, but perhaps you can try teaching me cooking outside.” she raised her brows. “ i have the pots and stoves for portable cooking.”  she smirked.
mirae didn’t know exactly why hyoseop felt the need to know in a lot of what exactly it was that had made him memorable to her--was it pride? or was it just the need to feel needed? a little pang of understanding mildly surges in her chest as she eyed hyoseop with a slight knowing look, before grandly clearing her throat.
“ that? that’s for me to know and not to tell.”  she grinned mischeviously in hyoseop’s direction. “ keep on guessing, pretty boy. that’s part of the fun in things.”  she poked his chest lightly. “ but you’re memorable to me, that’s right.”
quickly ignoring his slightly flirtatious speech, mirae quickened her steps as they neared hyoseop’s work place, attracted by the quaint little coffee shop that exuded relaxed vibes--a prime place for one to relax if they ever needed to.
“ hmmm.” she raised a slender finger, brow cocked as she tapped against her chin, ruminating lightly as she eyed the cafe, and then hyoseop with a devilish but knowing smile. “ how much have you been raking in being a barista?”  she teased him with a little nudge, a soft cackle to let him know she was mildly joking. “ they must have had their business boom for a good bit, considering that they have a handsome face like you standing behind the counters.”
she continued, a plot lightly brewing in her brain as she clasped her hands behind her back and leaned in towards hyoseop almost conspiratorially.
“ so what do you think on adding me to your roster?” she suggested the thought on a whim. “ i mean if we are to get closer, at least this would be a good point to start with. hobbies, work, whatnot.” she peered up at hyoseop interestedly. “ i mean, it’s just a suggestion...”  she trailed off, her bravado diminishing as the brief thought fades into doubt for approval. “ unless you have something we could do that doesn’t need us working?” her lips screw slightly into her characteristic pout, brows knitting together as she picked against the hem of her shirt.

lgcjinyoung:
he doesn’t have much to return to the half rant, half compliment thrown his way except a short shrug of his shoulders and a careless tilt of his head that has his bangs falling into his eyes. he straightens to swipe them away once more and is quick to step forward and announce his own order before swiftly paying both their beverages. he knows that regarding to age hierarchies he’s not supposed to be the one paying but with the chance of a reunion he wants to honor the occasion and do this for his cousin.
“not much. I’ve been kind of just existing in legacy for the last three years so I don’t blame you for never really realizing I’m here as well,” he begins with a grin, knowing they weren’t exactly in the same crowd of people either. “but a manager from lgc agency approached me recently and told me to think about considering in being a model?  maybe it has to do with the fact I got chosen to be in one of the promoted brands from the senior models?” rubbing the back of his neck he looks a little lost but happy.
jinyoung? a model?
the thought sends mirae into a contemplative state, fingers lightly bracing against her chin as she hummed, completely oblivious that she hadn’t paid for her own beverage and already poised to walk away with it (neither had she noticed that it had already been paid for, obtuse and carefless as she was).
“ hmmm.”  she drawled, purposely drawing out the hum as she bought herself time with her own thoughts.” is that what you really want to do though?” the slight tilt of her own head betrays her own suspicion with regards to whether or not she thought that jinyoung kinda desired being a model.
“ i mean ,you are a decent specimen, if you don’t mind me saying so.”  she scrunched her nose slightly. “ i mean our family--look at all of us, all in the entertainment industry.”  she tossed her hair back flamboyantly, with a smudge of arrogance. “ clearly, that’s a testament towards our immobilizing beauty.”  she sent an atrocious wink in his direction, accompanied with a light cackle. “ i don’t see why you shouldn’t go for it though.”  the flamboyant smile slowly turns into a serious expression as she tiled her head. “ in my opinion, you would make a fine ass model.”  she leaned in a little conspiratorially. “ you’re the type that all the girls like to see, smart, handsome, tall and cutely pretty. i mean there’s a reason why i didn’t continue modelling...”  she trailed off, looking him up and down repeatedly (as thought that would tell her cousin that it was the fault of her height and nothing to do with her own personality that she had chosen to run from the modelling career). “ but i wouldn’t be against you going for modelling. what did you join legacy for anyway?”
she leaned in, curiousity piqued.
“ surely there was something that had inspired you in the first place to come here.”  she blinked up at him, eyes wide and bright. “ and please, tell me that the one that inspired you was me and not minseok.”  she pouted at the younger male with every fiber and essence in her body. “ i’ll have to scatter salt on him once again the next time we meet if you say that he was the one that influenced you to join.” she whined, folding her arms. “ just so that i can steal a fraction of his fortune. i heard that it works.”  she sniffed, scrunching her nose up cutely. “ but that aside, i think that what’s incredibly important for people like us who live off our livelihoods upon other’s adorations...is that we love and have an ardent desire to do what we want to do. so ask yourself, is that what you want to do? stand in front of a camera and be every girl’s wet dream for the month or two?”

character update
how do you choose who you spend your time with?
“ by how much they actually do interest me.” mirae sniffled slightly, rubbing her nose as she fought off a mild yawn. “ but anyone works. i don’t have a particular criteria save for the part ‘interest’  or ‘intrigue’ me. that’s about it.” she lifted a hand to scratch her neck slightly, eyes half open in an almost bored yet contemplative expression. “ they could be anyone from anywhere, as long as whatever they do or did is completely out of the box--you’d have gotten my attention and my interest to want to spend some time with.” she raised a brow delicately. “ you know, just that simple a criteria. nothing too much of an high order really.”
who is the most important person in your life?
“ oh, that’s a really simple answer.” she wonders if people really didn’t pay attention to how many times she did mention her younger sibling. “ my younger brother, as well as my cousins. but really, my younger brother. he’s such a soft, at times hapless little kid.” she pouts, dwelling on the memories of a younger minjae. “ i mean at one point, he couldn’t even tie his shoelaces.” her eyes started to sparkle as she talked more about her younger sibling. “ and he was so cute that you’d die to meet him really, fluffy cheeks, sharp nose, handsome features--god, he was like the go to person for the ‘son’ role back then when we did quite a bit of acting. the cherubic, cute angel.” she sighed happily. “but yeah, he’s the most important person in my life. quite the surprise, isn’t it? most would expect it to be our parents, but really, we only have each other.”
if you were in desperate need, who would you turn to?
“no one.” her face turns slightly serious as she answers the question. “ i’m quite used to being alone.” she adds rather lightheartedly. “it’s not a big deal for me to turn to myself in times of a really desperate need. maybe my cousins if i will? but i doubt most of them see me beyond that crazy cat lady that spoils her younger sibling and cooks a horrifying meal to eat.” it’s a self-deprecating standard that she sets for herself, studying her nails. “i’m not that important after all.”  she admits. “ and they will always have their own lives to get to. so why trouble others when you can try to solve it all by yourself on your own? it may be hard, but still, it’s rewarding if you do succeed.”
what’s your idea of romance?
“ anything romantic! i’m a pretty shallow person when it comes to having to impress me with any romantic notions, but really, if we’re going to go indepth into what i dream of for my romance, it’s a simple criteria of someone seeing me as just who i am, as well as being able to forbear everything i do. from my little tantrums to my ridiculousness, they’d be able to see through that and perhaps see to the inside, even if i guess that might just be a little too difficult.” she gave a light shrug and a half hearted laugh. “ that’s why i don’t have any hopes in terms of romance. when it comes, it comes. if it doesn’t last--then so be it. i shall fashionably accept my single-ness as a singularity that belongs powerfully to a woman like me. no woman needs a man or a woman in order to survive after all.”
how do you show someone you care about them?
“ i make them things. just ask my younger brother. i’ve made so many lunch boxes for him, and he’s literally eaten all of them?” excitement encases her features delicately. “ i appreciate it when my efforts are appreciated, but i do try and help take care of people that i care about. it’s rare, since not many are on my list, but when i do i’ll do everything that i can to protect and help them.”  she admits. “ so if someone ever attacks a person i care about, be it verbally or physically, naturally--i would stand by the person i care about first. their feelings matter over everyone else’s, and i should always listen to both sides, as biased as i am, and as much as i will lean favourably towards the person that i adore.”

lgcjinyoung:
one of the craziest of all of them had always been mirae. the female loud, boisterous and ready to enable them in the craziest ideas that would get them into the most trouble. he’d always been the fond and silent type, his eye smile a trademark as was it his only recognizing feature. thus he didn’t exactly blame her when minutes past of them waiting in line of the same cafe, him just behind her to get their well deserved drinks in between hectic schedules.
the moment she clears her throat and addresses him, jinyoung has nothing more to say than just flash her his trademark eye smile, the one feature that would always make him stand out among other people.
“thanks nuna. I’m actually taller than you now. even though I could never quite catch up to hyung.”
mirae couldn’t believe it.
the last thing she had ever expected to be treated by one of her cousins--was with an attitude of an air of subtle, unconcerned acknowledgement.
almost immediately. she sank into a depressive silence, nose scrunched and hand rubbing her chin as she pondered  and squinted at jinyoung’s eye smile.
ba-dump.
her heart skipped a beat, as though they weren’t related and she felt something in her chest loosen because of a bloody eye-smile that looked so cute that it could almost make her swoon.
“ shit. “  she breathed, swiping a hand right through her hair as she peered up at him. “ i never thought that you’d ever become or grow to become so deadly.”  she sidled over towards him, rubbing her nose lightly. “ man, how many people have you killed with that eyesmile of yours?”  she clutched her chest almost dramatically. “ i swear, my heart almost skipped a beat just now, just from you giving that cute dumb smile.” she whined, a pout slowly forming upon her lips as she scowled at her taller but younger cousin.
“ and height is nothing to be proud about! just look at minseok, all height and no, no--”  she was almost about to say substance or looks, but that would basically be making her out to be a liar, considering that minseok was one of the handsomest people that she had naturally met, as disgruntled as she was with him and all.
“anyway.”  she continued, barely turning her attention away from jinyoung as she quickly made her order. “ one chocolate frappe with three pumps of syrup please.”  she manages to remember her manners, quickly shooting the man behind the counter a coy little smile, before returning to pout at jinyoung.
“ we shuold really catch up.” she lightly mused. “ so tell me, how have things been for you? any new jobs? gigs? minseok and i are probably coming back to work soon.”

lgchyoseop:
hyoseop smirked, most likely he didn’t just have the money to go to a theme park, but he wanted to invite her, for some reason he wanted to give her what she seemed to want from him. “you got my number, right? then i’d like you to text me a date you’re free” he smiles to her, softly and warmly. “i don’t think i’ve ever been to a theme park before, but i’d love for my first time to be with you”.
“you can do those things with me you know
i think i’d be willing to learn how to give a manicure or pedicure for your sake, and i do work in a coffee shop, so i do know how to make you coffee if that’s what you want” he doesn’t look at her as he walks, but he does see her clearly, imagining how she’d look, would she smile at his words? probably not, she doesn’t seem to be surprised or that happy about any of his kind gestures. perhaps he’s just stuck to nothing, wouldn’t show any special emotion at his words, he should probably hope for that rather than she gets as ‘excited’ as with the pinning. “my day was fine, i haven’t done anything special” how long has it been since somebody asked how his day was?

“well, for starters--” mirae shifts a little uncomfortably, tilting her head to lightly match hyoseop’s gaze, a slightly self-deprecating smile dancing upon her lips. “maybe perhaps a lot of people have heard unsavoury things about me.” a wisp of a whimsical smile turned her smile slightly upwards. “i know what people say about me.” her eyes shift, adjusting her weight slightly. “i act out, am too loud, too weird--or the best, i’m crazy.” she chuckled. “ i’m sure you wouldn’t want to date me too after hearing that i kicked my ex in the balls with 5 inch heels.” she leaned in conspiratorially, the self-deprecating smile turning into that of a light smirk.
surprise etches her features at his words, just a blossom of mild affection blooms in her chest at his apparent desire to demand nothing from her and fully accept her just as she was in return.
“that’s nice.” she finishes quietly with a nod, keeping her mouth shut over how she truly felt seen for the first time in a long while, quickly turning her eyes towards the horizon as a faint blush tints her cheeks. “not many people say that to me.” it was why she always never failed to be herself--if others expected things of her and told her how to expect things of herself, it was a definite thing that she was going to do it completely--the other way.
that was who mirae was, after more than a few decades of being under someone else’s watchful eyes.
“you’ve already made yourself memorable.” she murmurs, finally turning to face him as she notices his slight nervousness--the joking tone that slides into place to mask his slight terror and fear--of what exactly, she truly didn’t know. but he needed reassurance, and if it was something that she could give, she would gladly do so. “to me at least.” she pokes him in the chest. “and i’m not as popular as you think i am.” she watches him through her lashes, half hating the fact that he was so tall, as she tilted her face up to look at him fully in the eyes. “sometimes, in moments that you least expect of yourself, you unintentionally make yourself memorable. like you did. for me.” she reverts back to her playful self as she sticks her tongue out at him. “not that i’m going to tell you what it is anyway.”a half smile slid over her lips. “and i’m always free.” she murmured softly. “at least, for now.” the punishment that was wrought on her for fighting with minseok had no doubtedly gave her all the freedom she never knew she needed in this world--mirae had gone on walks by the sea, in the park, cycling, hiking--name almost everything that she had possibly missed whilst being in the middle of a hectic schedule, that this break was almost a breath of fresh air for her, as if she stood on the peak of the ansan mountain and refilled her lungs with fresh morning air, like a breath of new life.
“i’ll text you the date.” she chuckled. “so keep your eyes and ears peeled for me on your phone.”
she wonders if hyoseop can surprise her any further when he suddenly mentions about being willing to learn how to give a medicure and pedicure for her sake, or even make coffee for her. was this part of a ploy to make her soften?  because it was. these ordinary things that others didn’t really take note of were considered to mirae as precious things that told her silently that someone took notice and was willing to take notice of her. for someone who had to fight for attention for so long--it was nice.
good. nice. wonderful. she felt herself shake slightly at his offer, giving him a genuine eye-smile for the first in a long time.
“i would love that.” she admits, letting her hand lightly bump against his own. “god knows i don’t know how to make proper coffee.” she laughed gayly, throwing her head back slightly as she recalled her family’s reaction to her own cooking once (except her brother, who inhaled the food with rigorous gratitude). “let alone cook.” a flash of ivory teeth sparked as she gave him a wide smile. “i think you did do something special. you just--haven’t realised it yet.” her steps turned lighthearted as they continued on their way to his workplace, her hands lightly clasped behind her back. “why don’t you recommend me some of the things on your coffee menu at your workplace..?”

for @lgcjinyoung , because...cousins.
this had to be one of the biggest reveals of the century.
in fact, mirae couldn’t even believe herself--of all the things she could possibly do, she had forgotten the basic, ardent, existence of a cousin of hers.
how positively criminal.
the actress thought to herself, savouring with a mournful look on her face the bitter cup of coffee with her pinky finger lightly stuck out, like the most arrogant bitch someone could ever find, an occasional shake of her head to commemorate the fact that she had--once again, failed miserably to even realise that another family had existed.
and jinseo’s brother too. of all the things, she had to forget the fact that the one braincell in their family had a sibling, as though that wasn’t enough to prove (as she did on the regular) of her horrifyingly absurd memory, as well as the fact that she didn’t have a braincell, as per what her cousins believed.
“ i have a fucking braincell.” she mumbled grumpily into the cup of coffee she had, finally acknowledging her cousin next to her with a tilt of her head and sunglasses perched perfectly on her nose, peering with squinted eyes right at jinyoung as she perused a look at him, from the flats of his feet right up to the tippy top of his hair.
mirae cleared her throat.
then as sagely as she could--she opened her mouth to speak the most obvious thing into existence.
“well, wow--you’ve grown.”

lgchyoseop:
even if there is more to hyoseop than this cheesiness, his flirty and confident behaviour, hyoseop isn’t even sure he knows of it. hyoseop has been like this for so long, ever since he was fourteen he believes, nobody has ever requested more of him, more honesty of him, he’s not sure he could give mirae what she wanted, even if he tried. because he’s not sure what she wants, and his whole personality is based around being wanted, being noticed.
he shrugs, confused, hurt but also relieved by her words also. “i am not sure what i could give you, i don’t really do things i am bad at
” he hums. “can i ask, is there anything you would want to do with me?” hyoseop isn’t that smart of a man, ideas don’t usually just come to him, so it’s easier to just give what she wants, even if he’s not sure what he can give.
“sure, follow me princess” hyoseop starts walking, completely knowing the way to the coffee shop, he has worked there for a while now after all. “you can tell me about your day on the way there”
“ me?” mirae scrunched her nose slightly at hyoseop’s words. “sure, i mean. you could say that.” she was  popular with boys, it was something that she wasn’t going to downplay at all--especially not when it did give her some form of a boost of confidence. “ but most people don’t like me because they want to date me or something.”  she folds her arms, a scoff upon her lips. “ are you like them? just wanting a notch on your bedpost or a little score?” she tilted her head slightly, raising a brow as she watched him fluster in front of her slightly, a hand running through his hair as he lifted his brow.
“if you want to be memorable, sure. be different from others. if you think that you’re just right as you are...continue the way you wish.” she fell in step with him, noting his disbelief and slight discomfort in her words. “ perhaps you never thought of it, so maybe give those thoughts a little two cents of your own. just like i’m not as crazy as most people think i am--” a small smile plays itself on the corners of her lips. “ i doubt you are as one dimensional as just being flirtatious and wanting to be cheesy.” she shrugged.
she squints slightly, letting go of the topic to stretch her arms to the skies lazily, scrunching her nose and lips in the process.
“you know what, maybe go to a theme park with me. i’ve been dying for a ride in a pirate boat. or like...” she gestured slightly, trying to find the right words. “ a proper thrill. a haunted house. or a drop from the skies.” stones scatter at her feet as she scuffed them against the ground. “ i’ve been living a little mundanely for too long. i just need something to spice up my life. maybe you can give me that, since that’s what i seem to be wanting from you.” she shrugged, turning around to face him with a playful smirk upon her face.
“and since you wanted to know about my day. i’d say that it has been quite normal. at least until you invaded into the practice room and decided pinning me against the wall was a course of action that you wanted to go for.” she chuckled at the thought, brushing her hair back as it tangled in the slight breeze. “ not quite the day i had been imagining, especially for something relaxing. i was gonna do superficial stuff. like...get a manicure. or a pedicure. drink two or four cups of coffee. eat a tub of ice cream while watching netflix. that sort of thing. i don’t really make plans when it comes to my day. i just.. live it as it is. that’s the most incredible thing about life. living it as it comes--true excitement comes from not knowing what’s next and doing what i want in the moment for me. you? how was your day, cha hyoseop?”

lgchyoseop:
then she stood there and called him overly confident, and he didn’t know what to do, because truly confidence and his looks was the only thing he got. so maybe he should play it differently. “you don’t seem to be a fan of my confidence, hm?” he takes her hand, he guides it to under his shirt, and on his chest, so now she can feel his heartbeat. “seems like i’m the fan here then, or who knows why my heart is beating faster than usually?”. he takes her hand out of his shirt, but on the way, lets her touch his abs, he’s got so much confidence in his body, why not let her feel why he’s confident?
“then if you already know which coffee shop i work at, you should visit me there, i’ll give you free coffee, it’ll be on me” he hasn’t let go of her hand yet, he takes it up to his mouth and places a kiss. “just don’t bring other boys, hm?” he smiles at her, lets go of her hand.
“ confidence is attractive on a man when they know how to do it just right.”  her long lashes flutter, hiding the subtle look in her eyes as she turned her attention towards the phone in her hands, only stirred into vague re-comprehension that he was still trying his best when her hand moves smoothly under his shirt and right to the beating heart of his chest.
and it wasn’t as if she hadn’t felt those abs of his as he takes her hand out from his shirt.
her lips twitched.
“ you think that i’d bring other boys on a date?” amusement catches onto the ends of her tone, letting him kiss the back of her hand in that overly gentlemanly manner that could only be a faux pretense. she quickly retracted her hand, folding her arms quickly to not let him see the goosebumps that had prickled upon her skin from the cheesiness of his actions.
well. perhaps it was slightly endearing. she would give him that much.
though he could have pulled off that whole ab touching thing and heartbeat thing more subtly--she rated with a raise of her brow.
“ or maybe you’re just nervous, that’s why your heart’s racing abnormally.”  she snorted. “why don’t you take a word of advice, if you’re really serious on making an impression or chasing me.” she hesitates for a moment, wondering if her next words were a little harsh--or if hyoseop could even comprehend what she was attempting to say next. “ stop with the cheesiness and everything else and be more like yourself. i like honest, genuine people.” she offered, cracking a little of her gates to let the poor boy feel a little hope. “ like if you show me that you truly enjoy something and there’s nothing fake or like pretending about it. i’ll consider things.”
hell, hyoseop could even just do something as simple as bring her for a motorbike ride and give her a genuine reaction about how scared or how excited he was, and that--that would have been the first step of the many deal breakers that would slowly wiggle their way to mirae’s heart.
“ i don’t like faux people.” her tongue darts out to wet her lips. “ i’m not saying that you’re false in anyway--but i would rather laugh aloud at something stupid with a friend than be courted by flowers and kisses on a hand. or even, you know, being slammed against a wall.” a smirk flickered upon her lips. “ as hot as that may be and as hot as feeling your abs may be. just a little word of advice for you to think on it.” he’d give up, she was sure. being honest was something hard for people in the entertainment industry. that was something she had seen throughout the years of being in it.
sometimes--some weren’t even aware that what they were doing wasn’t their real personality either. it was why she threw all worries and doubts about breaking the rules away and lived her life as she wanted to.
which brought her back to another thought that had been festering in her brain ever since her hand had found its target (our of courtesy to hyoseop, of course), on hyoseop’s abs. he’d make another good specimen for those photocards she was attempting to make. those lines of his abs felt quite defined.
she stroked her chin once, squinting slightly as she tilted her head in thought. perhaps she should try her best to bag him in a deal with this dubious thing she was trying to do. there was no harm in trying.
“ why don’t you walk me to your coffee shop, hyoseop? we can talk on the way.”
