there's a quote, I don't remember who by, that says that there's no such thing as a fake thing, there's just sometimes real things pretending to be other real things.
I'm trying to keep in mind that, in a manner of speaking, there are no ingenuine emotions or people. Even when someone is desperately trying to hide what they're feeling, or avoid their emotions all together, they are genuinely tying to avoid them. Everything I feel is a real feeling, and how much I want that not to be true is a part of it
