a family friend is stuck in gezira state, which is currently controlled by the RSF (genocidal militia wreaking havoc on sudan right now). him, his elderly father, and his two sisters with their children don't have the money to evacuate to a safer part of sudan. not totally sure how much they'll need but he estimated about $600 to get the 14 of them to safety. if you can please donate to my vnmo $nmimk , every dollar will go straight to a sudanese family in danger

I hope this doesn't come across as rude, but how do you decide what gofundmes to donate to? It feels wrong to pick and choose when there's so many people in need.

I basically donate to the first ones I see when I log on. If I have only $5 that day I donate to the first one, if I have $10 I donate to the first two, and so on. At first I was thinking, "if I save money then I can make a bigger donation to help one specific gofundme" bit then I think it was @fairuzfan who said something about like... if people who only have $5 see a bunch of $5 donations, they're more likely to give their $5 too, versus if all the other donations were $100 they might feel like their $5 isn't worth giving.
