 ❛  he  is  your  brother,  you  should  know  how  scary  he  can  be  !  ❜  he  says  in  defence,  wanting  to  laugh  and  avoiding  eye  contact  with  aeri  for  a  moment  before  finally  getting  the  courage  to  look  down  at  her.  his  eyes  meeting  with  hers.  ❛  don't  get  me  in  trouble,  okay  ?  be  nice.  ❜  he  smiles  at  her,  that  goddamn  crooked  side  smile  he  always  had.  why  was  she  making  everything  so  hard,  why  was  he  so  awkward  with  her  ?  so  he  decides  to  entertain  himself.  ❛  if  you  try  to  get  me  in  trouble,  i  will  tell  your  brother  you  are  flirting  with  me.  ❜

"Of course you can stay over." Her couch saw more use from Hyunsoo than Eunbin at this point; she'd left a blanket and pillow in a small box next to it that may as well have his name on it. "I'm streaming tonight. If you're planning on getting really drunk, can I make sure you won't get loud again? A few people heard you last time and said it ruined the sound." It also distracted her and Eunbin hadn't been able to beat the last level because of it.

 ❛  it  is,  it's  nice  seeing  you  around.  i  thought  you  had  moved  away.  ❜  he  gives  her  a  smile  but  soon  hyunsoo  was  sure  he  had  turned  red  as  tomato  on  the  spot,  at  least  ears  burning  and  feeling  rather  hot  from  sudden  comment  he  had  gotten  from  yoora.  his  brother  glaring  at  him  and  probably  wanting  to  toss  him  out  of  the  window.  even  his  own  mother  almost  choking  on  something  at  yoora's  comment  about  the  food,  soon  saying  she  had.  ❛  you  are  giving  her  too  much  credit.  ❜  he  says,  leaning  closer  to  yoora.  ❛  she  didn't  cook  this,  our  cook  did.  ❜  he  whispers  out,  his  heart  racing  fast  in  his  chest  at  the  scent  coming  off  her  and  just  being  so  close.  as  they  had  eaten  the  food,  chatting  here  and  there.  hyunsoo  removes  himself  from  the  table  and  gets  outside  just  to  get  a  breather,  the  sky  already  darkening.  he  stands  there,  but  turns  to  look  through  the  window  and  spotting  yoora,  nodding  his  head  as  if  to  invite  her  outside  with  him.

            "  i've  been  well  !  it's  definitely  .  .  maybe  the  day  before  i  graduated,  right  ?  or  something  close  to  that  ? "  being  a  year  ahead  of  hyunsoo,  yoora  remembered  feeling  sad  knowing  she  wouldn't  see  familiar  faces  once  she  stepped  into  university.  yet,  despite  their  limited  interactions,  the  memory  of  lee  hyunsoo  had  stayed  vivid  in  her  mind.  "  it's  just  so  nice  that  we  get  to  reconnect  now.  and,  you've  really  grown  !  oh  -  oppa,  i  think  you  might  have  some  competition  .  .  he's  even  more  handsome  than  i  remember.  "  she  teases,  her  fingers  gently  grasping  hyunsoo's  chin,  a  playful  grin  forming  as  she  glances  at  his  older  brother  sitting  across  from  them.  she  could  sense  the  tension  between  the  siblings,  yet  something  told  her  the  elder  had  the  upper  hand,  which  didn't  sit  right  with  her  for  some  reason.  "  anyways,  auntie,  did  you  prepare  this  meal  ?  it  looks  incredible  !  and  .  .  familiar  ?  "  she  adds,  stroking  her  chin  dramatically  before  gasping  in  realization,  "  wait,  is  this  my  recipe  you  followed  ?  though,  i  must  admit,  yours  looks  even  better  !  "  yoora  still  had  no  trouble  controlling  the  conversation,  her  grin  unwavering  the  entire  time.

 ❛  he  is  being  the  asshole  he  always  is,  when  i'm  talking  about  something,  he  comes  and  says  something  better  and  of  course  my  parents  just  ignore  me  and  i'm  like  oh,  okay  and  leave  the  scene.  ❜  nodding  his  head  as  he  moves  to  get  a  drink  for  himself  and  water  for  her,  then  coming  back.  he  was  getting  drunk  already,  not  wanting  to  go  home  sober.  ❛  so  ..  should  i  crash  at  your  place  tonight,  i  feel  like  my  parents  will  make  me  sleep  outside.  ❜

"What did he do this time?" Outshine as always? Brag about his success? Eunbin didn't need an answer to know Hyunsoo was irritated enough to drown the rest of his drink and she prepared herself for a long night of carrying him home. "Water for me. I think I'm done with drinking for tonight." Someone needed to be sober, she had a feeling it wasn't going to be him.

"Am I being a distraction?" A grin is tugging to her lips, and she tilts her head to the side. "Do you want me to leave so you can study?"

 feeling  her  gaze  on  him,  he  feels  warmth  in  chest,  sighing  out  softly,  arms  soon  crossing  underneath  his  chest  as  he  watches  the  back  of  his  friend's  head.  ❛  he  really  does,  he  is  a  smooth  talker  with  the  ladies  too.  no  wonder  why  he  gets  all.  ❜  he  laughs  a  little,  maybe  a  little  too  much  information  to  her.  ❛  don't  tell  him  i  said  that.  ❜  he  says,  bumping  his  hip  playfully  against  her  side.  ❛  don't  want  you  to  get  me  in  trouble,  you  know.  ❜  he  was  already  in  one,  he  wasn't  supposed  to  be  falling  for  her,  but  there  he  was  with  a  loud  beating  heart  by  just  being  near  her.

 ❛  still  better  than  not  enjoying,  right  ?  ❜  he  just  chuckles  out,  staying  leaned  against  her  shoulder  before  sitting  up  straight  and  leaning  forward  to  take  a  sip  from  his  drink.  ❛  no  one,  actually  ..  my  brother  did  but  you  know,  that's  nothing  new  about  him.  ❜  he  shakes  his  head,  downing  the  drink  fully  and  hisses  out  at  the  burning  feeling  in  his  throat.  ❛  i  need  more  to  drink,  do  you  need  anything  ?  ❜

Eunbin's eyes shot open and looked around with her hair whipping by her face at the sudden attention he drew to the pair of them. It slowly turned in to a glare, for whatever reason she did tolerate Hyunsoo, sometimes wasn't worth it. Still, as he lay his head on her shoulder she lifted a hand and patted the top of it. "Tolerate...feels like a better word than enjoy. "What sort of attention are you needing right now you're willing to scream out in a bar of already drunk people? Someone really irritate you today?"

 not  knowing  what  to  do,  the  stare  his  older  brother  was  giving  him  was  like  being  stabbed,  or  being  sit  on  fire  on  the  spot.  but  he  follows,  letting  yoora  drag  him  down  to  sit  beside  her.  he  could  feel  how  his  heart  was  beating  faster  at  such  a  simple  touch,  even  smiling  but  not  wanting  to  look  smug  in  front  of  his  family,  but  oh  god  how  much  he  wanted  to  just  look  at  his  brother  in  the  eyes  and  smirk  but  he  doesn't  do  so,  just  out  of  respect.  when  yoora  was  speaking  again,  he  wanted  to  die  on  the  spot,  seeing  the  look  of  confusement  on  his  parents  eyes  and  the  pure  hate  in  his  brother's.  ❛  it  really  has  been  such  a  long  time,  i  don't  remember  when  was  the  last  time  i  saw  you.  ❜  god,  why  was  he  so  awkward,  he  would  be  more  open  if  his  family  wasn't  there,  but  they  were  eating  his  confidence  away.  ❛  have  you  been  alright  ?  ❜  he  asks,  turning  his  head  to  finally  look  at  her  and  god,  was  she  a  sight  for  sore  eyes.

           the  reason  behind  his  brother's  sour  expression  over  her  knowing  hyunsoo  personally  was  still  a  mystery,  but  yoora  silently  vowed  to  figure  it  out.  after  all,  she  couldn't  think  of  a  single  reason  to  hate  him.  she  had  only  crossed  paths  with  him  a  few  times,  yet  every  memory  she  had  of  him  was  fond  -  even  the  awkward  kiss  they  once  shared  inside  a  closet.  when  hyunsoo's  mom  called  them  for  dinner,  she  eagerly  tugged  at  his  arm,  "  come,  come,  let's  sit  together.  "  leading  him  to  the  dining  area,  she  practically  dragged  hyunsoo  down  into  the  seat  beside  her,  a  satisfied  smile  playing  on  her  lips  as  her  date  begrudgingly  took  his  place  across  from  her.  "  you'll  have  to  excuse  my  excitement  !  i  haven't  seen  hyunsoo  since  i  graduated,  and  i've  been  wondering  how  he's  been  doing  !  "  whatever  tension  lingered  within  his  family,  she  had  no  interest  in  entertaining  it.  as  a  guest,  she  knew  she  had  the  power  to  steer  the  conversation  wherever  she  wanted.
