im sorry to say but bioessentialism is "women will never be fulfilled unless they birth a child" or "women are naturally submissive and delicate caretakers because of their brains" not "female individuals menstruate and are capable of giving birth"

forever grateful i was simply too lazy to let the makeup industrial complex get its hooks in me. I was just like im not doing all of that. in fact. im doing none of that
#i was miserable for years bc i get contact dermatitis from every foundation ive ever tried#and for like 2 years in hs i would wear it anyway and sleep with calamine lotion on my face#imagine willfully giving yourself an allergic reaction daily just to not be ugly 😭#now im just whatever but in hs it was devastating like what are we doing to our girls

One reason I’m vocal about being a “gold star” lesbian / never having slept with or dated a man is because I feel it goes against the dominant lesbian narrative. I’m talking about the lesbian master doc “am I gay or are girls just really really pretty” back and forth years of experimenting stereotype. For gay men I feel like the narrative is always how they’ve always known since they were small children. Because of this I love talking about how I knew I was a lesbian since I was a kid and never questioned it enough to feel like I had to try out a man. Again, this isn’t because I think I’m better than bisexual women or lesbians who have been with males but because I’m sick of the only lesbian coming out story being the indecisive oh do I love my best friend or am I in love with her. Again, nothing wrong with that either I just don’t think that’s necessarily the norm but it is in pop culture. This of course ties into the stereotype that women’s sexuality is more fluid and less certain and that lesbians are less gay than gay men.

“idk if what you said about humans not being supposed to have their period every month for 30 years was true” no. it is. our ancestors had fewer periods in their lifetimes, due to a number of factors like lower life expectancy and long term chronic breastfeeding. it wastes an incredible amount of energy and resources for the body. people in the past generally started their periods later. of course, the regularity of periods in the modern population is due to better nutrition but I stand by what I said. bodies are not built to shed our uterine lining and 2+ ounces of blood every month for 30+ years. just because it can do it doesn’t mean it’s good for it.

If you were ever on board the trans wagon, from vague unthinking support to full-blown TRA, what was the issue that first gave you pause?
Bathrooms
Changing rooms
Women's shelters
Women's prisons
Sports
Puberty blockers
Surgery for children
"Genital Fetish"
Reaction to JK Rowling's reasonable and thoughtful essay
When it became clear that trans people had gone from gay people with issues to straight people with a fetish
Other(please list)
Same options but the question being: What was the issue that finally peaked you?
Feel free to come up with other answers if I forgot anything.
(poll 2/2)

#what put me off for a long time was seeing the transbians demand the spaces meant for lesbians#while seeing with my own eyes the way tifs are treated by gay men with no pushback#it made it clear who was always getting their way (males) and from there i stopped immediately blocking 'op is a terf'

you know, I can't blame boomers for being Like That.
if I grew up in a world where I could fund a college education with a part-time job and buy a house with an average single person's full-time wages I would probably also be really weird about hard work and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and stuff.

this post is for the girls who want to learn about radical feminism because they’ve seen something in it that speaks to them, but have to stay hidden behind anon and on sideblogs because if they’re discovered to even be trying to understand radfems they’ll be harassed and violently ostracised. I’ve been there, I’ve done that and I’ve felt that fear. Hell, I’m still feeling it. And I’m here for you. Stay safe and stay curious. The people that would hate you for it are more scared of you than you are of them because they know, deep down, you’re right. Don’t let them break you.

New Apostolic Reformation [NAR] Church to be specific.
The text from the assassin to his wife: “daddy went to war last night”. Pretty alarming.
NAR is responsible for dissolving the separation of church and state. Members include Speaker Mike Johnson, Michael Flynn, Charlie Kirk, MTG, and Lauren Boebert.

I think i made a male oc in high school, I couldn't possibly be misandrist! 😋
it’s so funny how genuinely confused people get if you feel about men the way men feel about women. disgusted by their bodies, annoyed by their voices, if you find their culture and the way they talk and they things they say banal and same-y and boring, if you find them mostly unfunny, if you think they’re usually trying too hard, on average untrustworthy, incompetent, kind of stupid, generally unlikable, if you make specific concessions for specific men for shallow reasons but they’re always on thin ice with you, if you make fun of them constantly and don’t take their ideas or personhood very seriously, if their injury and death is less important, if you think the violence they suffer is often their fault, if you just find the way they look and talk and think to be grating on your nerves, and wish they were women… it’s okay though i have male friends
