Potty training bootcamp day 1.5 (we unofficially started yesterday) wrap up
Tiny Sir did all his pooping on the potty!
Tiny Sir only had 2 off the potty accidents one in the car because we had to run an errand and one hiding under the table because he refused to go potty.
Squish had 3 successful pees in the potty.
After nap she refused to even sit on the potty so there were loads of accidents.
She pooped in the bath so I had to fish for poo. That was not fun.
She held her poop for many hours and when I put a pull up on her (because I needed a pause while I cooked dinner) she pooped within 5 minutes. We talked it out (it seems like your body needed to poop. Good thing your special underwear caught it!)
No one peed in the car after swim!

I'm doing potty training bootcamp with my peeps this week.
They both want to sit on the potty.
They both tell me they have to/want to go potty (though they haven't successfully gone yet).
They're both excited about it.
Tiny Sir can tell me (mostly accurately) when his diaper is dirty.
They both tell me, 'ewwww gucky' when getting a diaper change.
They both stop and stare at me to poo.
Tiny Sir stops to watch his pee happen
Squish is very bothered when she pees and she isn't wearing a diaper.
So we have 5 days of at home time. The only time we're leaving is to go to swim class in the morning. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 we can get this done.
If i don't do it now, that means i leave it until either fall break in October or winter break. Neither of which sound appealing. And I'm certainly not waiting until spring break or next summer because they'll be 3 (or almost 3 at spring break).
I'm open to all tips and tricks. Or messages of solidarity/you can do this.

New garden update because why not.
I haven't been out to checking a few days because it's been raining.
But we've got peppers, strawberries, lettuce, and potatoes all pictured.
Also growing cantaloupe, watermelon, sweet potato, onion, and green beans. And I'll be planting corn and cucumber soonish.

But also my sensory issues HATE washing dishes.

Lots of people in my circle are talking boycotting target and Walmart. And only shopping at small locally owned stores.
All of those things are amazing but it feels like a yes and or yes but situation.
Yes but it takes a lot of folks boycotting to hurt the corporation. The more immediate hurt is felt by the folks who are trying to make ends meet and have their hours cut because there's less traffic in their store.
Yes, shopping local is always right and lots of people can't afford it. A container of shine and jam for squishs hair is like 8 bucks at a big box store and 13 bucks at the local black hair store.
Absolutely do what feels right for you. I'm making the conscious choice to frequent places less but it's just not realistic for the vast majority of people to completely stop going to those places while also recognizing corporations are shitty and are going to be even shittier right now.

I had a conversation with my sister yesterday. In light of my chosen career and the state of the world.
I felt like it was super important to make sure she knew what I wanted with D&D in the event that I can't be here.
First they came...that poem is living rent free in my head lately.

I got an ADHD diagnosis yesterday at the doctor.
I scored 8 out of 9 on the questionnaire.
And she looked and me and goes ohhh girl, I can help with that.
So tomorrow, I start meds.

We are on night 3 of falling asleep in our own beds! Still haven't made it through the night with 100% of humans in their bed in the morning but not being rocked to sleep is HUGE progress.
