In this tech-driven era, being a student living independently in the city is more manageable than ever before. After a long day of studying and classes, relaxation is an essential for me. Streaming services like Netflix and Spotify offer endless entertainment options, and I can enjoy them on my laptop, smart TV and even on my phone. I use a JBL smart speaker to set the mood with my favorite music while I unwind.

EP4: Daily meal habit

Living independently means taking charge of my meals. I miss my mom's cooking! Food delivery apps have become my lifeline for quick and convenient meals when I'm in the middle of a study session. I can order from a variety of restaurants and have my meal delivered right to my doorstep using Grab or FoodPanda!

EP3: Studying and Productivity

My laptop is my constant companion throughout the day. I rely on cloud-based note-taking apps like Evernote and Google Keep to organize my class notes and assignments. When it's time to study, noise-canceling headphones and a digital library of textbooks and research papers allow me to focus even in a bustling city environment.

Collaborative projects are made easier through tools like Google Drive and Dropbox, which facilitate file sharing and real-time collaboration with fellow students. And when I need a change of scenery, I head to a nearby co-working space, booking a desk using a dedicated app.

Navigating the city's public transportation system can be a breeze with transportation apps like Grab, JoyRide, and Angkas. They provide real-time updates on vehicle locations and estimated arrival times, ensuring I never miss an important lecture. Sometimes when I go home to my province, I use a smart transit card (a.k.a. "beep card), which I can easily reload through a mobile app, making my daily commute hassle-free. I don't really need to bring any cash on me nowadays!

My day begins with the most latest smartphone, my iPhone 14 pro max! It's acting as both my alarm clock and a personal assistant. It wakes me up with my favorite playlist and provides a daily weather update, helping me decide what to wear. As I enjoy my breakfast, I catch up on the latest news through a news app and skim through our school portal, and organize my day with my calendar app.
