MONEY? NOTHING

WEEKLY BLOG NUMBER 7: IF MONEY WAS NOT A CONCERN, WHAT WOULD I WANT TO DO?

It’s not the money that matters, its how you use it that determines it’s true value.

For me, If I will be given a chance to live my life without money I would spend the rest of my life travelling. I want to explore every corner of the world, want to familiar with the culture of people living in different countries.

I really can't imagine if this becomes true even for a single day. I think I am the happiest person in the universe. I would travel to:

JAPAN

Japan is known as the "land of the rising sun”. This is the first country I would go because for me Japan is something that is part of my heart, even if I haven’t been there. I wan’t to really know their culture and traditions. Also, my auntie is there so if I am there my trip would be awesome because I can see my cousins for decades of years. We can see spectacular place I haven’t seen in my life.

PARIS

As we all know Paris is the city of love. Someday, If God give me a chance to love someone this country is the best honeymoon place for us lovebirds. Paris is somewhat the most beautiful country in the world. If money is not a concern, I will eat in their fine dining restaurants and spend time with a luxurious hotel.

and do these things:

SKYDIVING

For me, I will face my fear if money is not a problem in the world. I will try the skydiving over and over. Why not? Facing your fears won’t make you less as a person. If I had to try this I can actually tell my story in my grand children that somewhat in my life I tried skydiving, that it is not a fear that you cannot do it but it is your eagerness to know yourself and challenge yourself as a person.

MALL DIVERGING

This is just random in my mind that if money is just nothing I can get all what I want. In this case, I actually dreamed this of that I can get the latest phone in the store, I can eat all what I want in my favorite fast-food restaurant. I can get those biggest and easy to get appliances for free!! I can shop a new t-shirts and pants for me I can freely get all those skin care and all those organizers haha. I feel like I am the king.

That’s all, I just woke up haha just kidding. :)

REALATIONSHIP

WEEKLY BLOG NUMBER 6 : MY KIND OF RELATIONSHIP

There is no perfect way to explain the real and unique kind of relationship but the most important thing is what is the hidden feelings behind further reason, it is how we draws a lot of experience together with my love once it differs on how we can spend and build a natural feelings into our hearts. It cannot simply defines a lot of words to input but the most important thing is when you stands for a transparency to show up to those people around you — family, friends, and even your special someone.

It is sometimes just like a wind you can never even see, you cannot even imagine the importance but the best way to feel the presence is when you breathe and and Just enjoy why you are still leaving in this kind of wonderful world.

A time may pass through laugther and there is electric current running to our blood cause of some undefined magnetic thing I don't assure if it is a crazy way of asking but it is the same sometimes it is also a scenario that we together with someone who is very special we always wanted to be together, to be always making the moment or I mean every single details of time.

In every step, in every particles of rediculous thing, we both enjoying the reality that it is existed by means of this word "happiness ".

I couldnt imagine how could I write and answering this particular question so instead doing some enjoyfing tricks intead of using internet but I chosen to answer the question the way I can express my thaughts about this certaiin topic.

In other words, there is many different kind of relationship but the real king is the relationship within yourself. A work of building the relationship unto yourself and creating the memories you would never forget that is a one of a king relationship.

Being a good son, being a good friend, being a good student, being a good dreamer, being a good person is the best relationship in the world but we onky live once not all we do is based on what we need to do but it is sometimes the real meaning of being a good in relationships.

What we need to actually knowis that we ate a wood so that we are strong enought to deal with any kind of relationship. The LGBT group of people is not just a relationship it is a kind of thing that we need to give importance it is a relationship to the community on how they would treat us well.

Befor I end this blog I wanted to share ny feeling to everyone that do not be afraid to love because God made us to live each other. No hate! 🤗

EXPECTATIONS VS REALITY

WEEKLY ENTRY NUMBER 5: THE CARRER CHOICE

In the eleven challenges a normal adolescence dealing recently the career choice is what I am facing in this right moment.

Being a senior high school student which is currently taking a HUMSS strand career choice is hard for us. My family is expecting me to become a teacher someday because they want me to follow what the family is in line with. Therefore my decisions in life is from what they want me to be someday. They expect me to be a teacher someday and they want me successful in that track.

Expectations are meant to be reality, even if we are not happy with what we are doing we are not allowed to disregard there decisions. The thing in life is to follow your dreams but for me, following my parents won't make me less as a person because I should think what is the capacity of my family in giving us good education. The only thing to do is to accept the truth and love what you are doing.

Loving what are you doing regarding in what they want you to be is accepting the reality that nothing else can happen if you aren't sure with your dreams. Challenges is accepting the reality, doing what they're expecting you to be and always believe in them because they know better than you. All you need to do is accept and believe that you can do it and love your passion, but for me loving your passion might lead you to a successful life.

Another thing is if you want to have a luxurious life someday that won't happen because being successful in life is not about having those kind of luxury thing and luxury house, for me the definition of being successful is having a contentment in life and creating wonderful memories with the person that makes you happy as a person.

Believe. Accept. and Love your passion and in that way, it will lead you to be a successful person someday.

DREAM & ACHIEVE LIMITLESS

WEEKLY ENTRY NUMBER 4 : IF YOU CAN DREAM IT THEN YOU CAN ACHIEVED IT.

In the lyrics of the song "Who You Are" by Jessie J — "Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing, It's okay not to be okay". I agree in the song that if we believe we can achieve success

A dream is not just a dream, it is a goal. We only live once, remember not just to dream but to achieved those dreams. If we live in this world full of stress nothing will happen.

For example — we tend to be materialistic in our dreams but those material thing may be not good for us because that is what we only want, a true dream is not all a matter of things but it is a matter of feelings.

Achieving your dream is a dream. Yes, it is right that if we achieved those dreams is what we really called a dream. When achieving, it is not just a happiness but it was all the struggle you had.

Always remember forget to all those who unhappy for you but treasure those who are happy. That's all. For me, dreaming is abstract and happiness is dream.

In this time, being a student my only dream is to finish my study, to help my family, and to be a successful person. I want to go to USA for me to be able to work there and save money. For me, dreaming is not about the things you want to have.

SILVER LINING

WEEKLY ENTRY NUMBER 3: GOOD THAT HAPPENS IN A BAD SITUATION

In my research, silver lining is probably : a consoling or hopeful prospect.

If I were to be ask what is my silver lining? If there's a silver lining to losing my study, it's that I'll be able to go work for the family and save for the future.

But as we all know, education is the key to success and the stairway to your dreams. Education is very important stuff to all of us, we need to study for the future

We all need to focus on thing that can make us successful even if it is a long time process to finished.

Being a son, it was hard for me seeing my parents having a rough time to make me finished my study. I know that the hardships and struggle they've been is for me.

I wanted to bring back to them what they've done to me, my goals is to be successful as them just like they're happiness for me that I have finished my study.

But in this time, all I can do is to study hard and by that I can achieve my drems.

For me that would be my silver lining moment in life.

YEAR OF SELF-AGREEMENT

WEEKLY ENTRY NUMBER 1: AGREEMENT TO MYSELF

As we start the blog entry for this week I want everyone to know more about me.

For you to know, this is my first time to blog and I'm surprised how it works. This is like a digital diary for everyone who is lazy when it comes in writing, this app is really usable for you out there.

Jan Rassel De Leon an Aspiring Photographer and Lifestyle Blogger from Cabanatuan City, Philippines. A student from Wesleyan University-Philippines currently taking Humanities and Social Science for Senior High. This blog is basically Rassel's way of expressing his creative side by showcasing his weekly lifestyle and thoughts.

As we'll go start the blog I want you to know that this blog is all regarding about my "agreement to myself" since Mr. Gonzales our Personal Development professor asked us to reflect on this certain topic.

So, what are we waiting for? Below are my:

6 DISAGREEMENTS TO MYSELF

This week has been so good to me, from getting a passing score in my quiz in our Media and Information (33/35), and then I got 6/10 in the surprise quiz in our Personal Development, I’m thankful because at least I got the 50% of score, but I will do my best again next week to make my scores much better. Beyond these scores, there is nothing without experience.

In my junior high school days, there is one quote that I remembered because we always seen this quote before we enter the room: “Experience is the best teacher” thoughts are made, realizations were build and agreements were created.

Here is my agreement to myself, it was some half dozens of agreement that are free to expand.

6. If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will.

“I don’t believe in myself” We often use this phrase whenever we deal with lack of confidence, fear, and failure.

This is the thing that we need to throw in order to fly high, believing is the key to success. The reason why we achieve our goals is believing.

Intelligence, opportunity and resources aren’t the key of successful people to become what they are now. It was about their determination to make their goals happen, so as we enter the next journey even the next week or the next day, always believe in yourself that you can and you will, because If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will.

5. A book is the dream that you hold on your hands.

So, I set out this month to find books, magazines, articles and other forms of information literacy.

Since, I’m away from my family, I’d rather use my free time reading and creating motivational words, even if I’m not motivated rather.

Books are the man’s best friend, as a HUMSS student I think I am the last one who is not interested in reading books. I am looking forward to the moment that I can say that “Books are my best friend”

I hope next week I can find books that are meant to create for me, because honestly I’m so lazy when it comes in reading books. So let’s start finding interesting books. Would you give me some tips on what book should I buy?

4. Good vibes only.

Every day as we leave the house, we should need to remember this three words. Good vibes only, no one can spur the moment since I am the type of person that is always finding happiness in times of dullness.

I don’t want another person to be out of place so I rather entertain them or have little talk to them. Because If I were to become them, I would really be so sad that no one is finding me interesting to talk.

In my spare time, I do entertaining stuff (sound trip, calligraphy, boomerang, surfing the net, playing application and watching YouTube videos) I would suggest AC’s Life account on YouTube, he is my idol when it comes to achieving goals independently he went to Korea to watch the wedding of his favorite KDrama Star. His life is a goal.

Good times are not planned, they are made. Having a good time with your good friends is the best moments.

3. Don’t compare yourself to others.

“Envy is ever joined with the comparing of a man’s self; and where there is no comparison, no envy.” —Sir Francis Bacon

We live in a world that is great at measuring and comparing externals. We most often compare our life to others which is wrong thing.

We measured ourselves to others and that we cannot see the good things in life, because we always defined our life to others as not what level they are.

We should understand that contentment is what we need in life. Contentment matters the most, like Pearl S. Buck said: “Many people lose the small joys in the hope for the big happiness.”

2. Buy only what you need,not what you want. Start saving money.

Nowadays, the accumulation of money is very difficult.

If we don’t have money, we think that we cannot live. Sometimes, money make us greedy. At times we do lies for money.

People in today's present time, cannot move without money.

Nevertheless, having lots of money is also losing lots of friends. Buying what we really need, not just what we want.

Be unique and resourceful because in the future, saving money is important.

Money is not everything, memories and happiness is the true meaning of richness.

1.Finish what you start.

Today, I have less than 5 hours to pass this blog. That’s means, If we start a work we need to finish it.

“Getting diploma is not the stage of self-actualization, because self-actualization is everyday“ we always need this on top of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

Starting my week last week was good, and I ended it up good because of my family, that is supporting me all the way, and always trying to find time to talk to me when I got homesick, especially my Wesleyanian friends who is always there helping me to leave my comfort zone, and lastly to my board mates who is always making me happy when I got home, telling me to believe in myself, and helping me to boost my confidence and building my foundation in this society.

I hope that you have learned something about my agreement to myself. Always remember those 6 things, I may not know what would be the outcome of those motivational quotes but as what we always need is to believe and God will take care of it.

So that is what I learned about Personal Development in this past week. The Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, planning the near future, creating blogs, motivate yourself, discipline yourself, and most of all how you deal with the society and onto your behavior.

Thank you for asking us to create blogs, because I realized that in this kind of digital diary I can be myself, I can talk to myself and I can sum up my week with a simple blog.
