i tried the method i saw by @obviouslyliftingweights and @lifting-life-love of tying hair ties around your wrist to conceal and although it’s pretty hard to slyly shove stuff up under the ties, it’s definitely a great method for concealing in changing rooms (e.g. in department stores where you can sneak goods into the changing rooms/toilets to conceal) and for opportunistic lifters who don’t want to carry around much stuff!! just make sure you wear a long sleeved yet baggy jumper… maybe a tee but i’d recommend jumper as it will hide any bumps or anything better!!
i feel like this method is great for spring too when it’s gunna become warmer and therefore using a coat to conceal will be sus

Magnet and Metal detectors and what they look like:
Magnet detectors:
Most likely to be at the entrance/exit of the store or near/in the fitting rooms. Basically just look out for black or otherwise seemingly random/useless boxes mounted near those areas.

Booster Bag detectors:
Usually used in conjunction with the regular alarm towers, and these usually will be next to or beside them.

Detects both magnets and booster bags:

Please keep in mind hidden security measures might be present, so check for these on the ceiling as well as the floor and doorframe. Detectors might also be disguised with fabric etc. so keep an eye open for anything that’s out of place or seems unnecessary, assume everything has a purpose!
And if you don’t know if something in the fitting room is a magnet detector you can casually ask the employee what it is, out of “curiosity” or mistaking it for something else (pin cushion etc.) but don’t lift from there immediately after asking. Give a good amount of time before going back or just take that knowledge for future reference for what they can look like in other stores and don’t lift from there.

ŬIt@ Tips n Info !
I worked at ŬIt@ for about a year, so I'll try to give as much advice as possible! It's been half a year since I quit, so things may have changed, and things may be different at different stores.
When learning about shr!nk/l0ss pr3v3ntion, the first thing we were taught was to never confront someone you think is ste@ling. You'll never be asked to put something back by a regular associ@te, only a m@nager who's usually pretty easy to identify. Instead, if you're being consistently approached by the same associ@te, asking if you want a basket and being pushy, there's a chance theyre onto you, so just take what you have alrdy and dip. They're not allowed to chase or touch you at all.
Cam3ras are usually on a monitor by the register, and on a monitor in the back! Take advantage of busy days, if the store is crowded and there isnt a lot of stàff, there's a good chance everyone is too busy to keep an eye on the c@meras and floor. (but still avoid them, obviously)
Most of the time, stâff is looking for th3ft in the fragr@nce or h@ir tech section. At my store we often had people come in and fill bags with it, so avoid that area like the plague when conc3aling! Even just walking into that space can put eyes on you.
Always be friendly to the stáff! This is an obvious one, but at ÙIt@ we were really pushed to walk the floor and ask people if they wanted help, even multiple times. Just a simple "no thanks!" and a smile will help you sm.
Obviously it varies by st0re, but at each one I've been to, I've had the most success c0nc3aling by crouching at shelvès by walls! Especially the wall that holds pr0ducts for ÙIt@'s brand. But make sure to scope out your own st0re, the c@meras have wide range.
Dress casually and try to seem put together, and be careful what bag you bring! Since fr@grance nd hair tends to get taken the most, workèrs keep an eye on people with big bags.
Never ever ever leave an empty b0x. If an empIoy33 finds an empty b0x, chances are they'll give it to a m@nager who checks c@meras at where the b0x was found to see who left it.
I don't recommend l!fting from a location that will recognize you, especially if you have a r3wards acc with ÙIt@. The account has your name, number, address, etc. If you're buying something at the same time youre l!fting and you think they might be susp!cious, don't give them your nùmber.
Be careful for hidden rf!d t@gs! Some are more hidden than others, for example, some k!ss nails have rf!ds inside the box.
Of course, again all st0res are different so take everything with a grain of salt. And some man@gers are so far up c0rporates ass that theyll ignore the LP rules just to keep lnventory so always be careful and watch your back! Quick trips to st0res youve never been to before are always best.
Thats all the important ones I can think of at the moment, but I'll reblog with more if I remember anything else!

hi I haven't been around in a while but I'm still lyft1ng and going to try to be more active on here again!
I've mostly been lyft1ng groceries lately so I'm going to share my grocery technique to help anyone who needs it. (this is probably pretty basic and has most likely been shared here before but it works)
small grocery häù1 technique:
you need some reusable bags. personally I use two heavier, more structured ones, and one or two small fabric ones.
you're going to choose one of the thicker reusable bags to store your other bags inside. bend the other thicker one around the inside of that first bag to kind of hollow it out while making it look fuller than it is. then throw in your smaller fabric bags on top so it looks like it's just full of bags. basically just make it look full and position the bags inside it so that the shapes of objects won't show through the sides.
now you're going to head to the store. (i only do this at stores with self checkouts). shop normally, as if you're shopping with your own money. check prices, examine fruit and vegetables before you choose them, etc.
pick up a few things that you need until your hands are full. this is when you're going to put your groceries into your reusable bag. don't try to hide what you're doing, you're just putting things in your bag because your hands are full. tons of people do this, stores don't like it but it's not innately suspicious so long as you've acted like a paying customer (e.g. don't choose the most expensive items you can find and put them in your bag.)
I tend to keep fruits + bread in my hands because they could get crushed in the bag (plus they're cheap), as well as the majority of stuff that I pick up after this point. I usually pay for 4-5 things.
now you're going to proceed to the self-checkout and pay for the things in your hands, use one of your small reusable bags to pack your purchased groceries, and leave. don't pay for anything in your bag.
I've done this for the past month and it's worked every time. i just got $40+ of food for $11 a few days ago. and i learned this trick from someone who's been doing this far longer and it still works for them too.
there are modifications to this you can make. you can put everything in the bag as you go and then do a walkout. you can check for cams and dump into the bag in a blindspot (I personally don't always, I focus more on shopping normally and acting like I have nothing to hide, but if you've scoped ahead of time and know which blindspot you're using then go for it)

This is the person who just did their first lift, I totally forgot to ask but, do you have any tips for new lifters ^^
of course! and congrats!!!
new l!fting tip #1: tumblr 101
no tags!!! do not tag ur posts, it makes it easier for non-l!fters to find and report l!fters
censor out brands and l!fting terms!! such as dn@, 3B, etc. (dn@ is did not arrive and 3B is empty box!!! different l!fting methods)
never ever put any defining objects in your photos if you are gonna post! make sure its the haul and ONLY the haul.
remove exif data from your photos so they can’t be traced, personally i dont do think bc im lazy but you should!
don’t put your total in your bio! i used to do this bc i liked to tell ppl i saved $20k-$30k over the year but it’s not smart to flaunt that you’re over the felony limit!
next, #2: how to lyft
so you’ve already completed your first lyft (woohoo proud of u!!) but how can you go about being safer and smarter?
my first tip is always scan the school for cameras! be sneaky tho don’t like just stare at the ceiling, but yk get a feel for how many cameras, what type, and what direction they’re facing. most places are gonna have the dome cameras, those are the worst because they see in every direction. always always try to body block if possible. either get someone else to block you or duck behind something while you’re concealing. better to not be caught on cam!!
nobody in that store is your friend, remember that. always assume that customers are plain clothes LP (disguised security) and always assume that sales associates WILL rat you out. don’t think “oh well it’s just me and one other person in the aisle it’ll be fine” because it’s gonna be the one time it’s not fine.
on that note, be kind to everyone. this isn’t just a lyfting tip it’s a rule i live by but just be kind. they’re gonna suspect you much less if you smile and answer questions and compliment them if you feel so inclined, just be a nice person. i believe this is one of the reasons i’ve never been caught, i’m just very friendly.
concealing!!! where to conceal? i personally like using my bag most often. your bag is important too!!! i use one off amazon (you can type like kawaii heart school bag and it’ll pop up, its black and has a big heart cut out for pins) but i dont have any pins because i dont want it to be too identifiable. its purse enough for people not to tell me to take it off (a lot of places don’t allow backpacks) but big enough to fit a LOT of stuff. structured bags are always a good idea too! that way people won’t be able to tell if you’ve put anything in there. i like to conceal in aisles without cameras most often, but if i have to body block sometimes i’ll put stuff up my sleeves first! another idea is to use a shopping bag from another store. this way people will think you’ve just already bought stuff! the target ones are my favorite since they’re opaque<3
onto the next section, #3: all about tags
de-tagging is definitely a more experienced lyfting practice but you can definitely start with rfids!!
rfids are gonna be the little metal wires in plastic, paper, or sticker tags. these are very common and you’ll see them at places like w4lmart or t4rget. these are easily removable by either cutting them off or disabling them with a magnet. you don’t NEED any tools while lyfting, but some of them can come in handy. if you do find yourself with a magnet, to disable rfids you just need to swipe your magnet against the tag. if you don’t have one, simply cut the metal wire in half. you can use scissors or nail clippers or cuticle nippers or whatever you might have!! if you can’t cut them, simply remove them and i personally stick the tag in the pocket of a really ugly item on clearance so that it hopefully goes unfound for a while!
hard tags! hard tags are any tag from the solid tags you find usually on clothes to spider tags you find on electronics or wire tags on jewelry at hot topic, etc. these all require tools to remove. some will require a magnet, others will require hooks, but it’s definitely worth looking into if you decide to branch out on your journey.
brief mention, #3.5: booster bags!
booster bags are small bags lined with many layers of foil to prevent signals from reaching the towers. just in case you didn’t know, towers are the tall sensors by the front door when you walk in! with a booster bag, you can put any kind of tagged item you want, zip it up, and walk out without beeping. you need many layers however!! the way to test if your bag works it by putting your cell phone in there and asking someone to call you. if the call goes through, there aren’t enough layers!! once the call doesn’t go through you’re set! this however is a more advanced trick so please be careful if you’re gonna try this!
lastly, #4 online “shopping”!
so you’ve heard of dn4ing or empty boxes, well lemme tell you what it all means! did not arrive is when you purchase an item, wait for it to arrive, and then message the carrier and tell them it never arrived. typically our goal here is to get a refund, but any times they wont be as easily persuaded and you’ll end up with a replacement instead. however it’s not impossible and many places are easier others. if you think you wanna try this, she!n or am4zon are a good place to start!! if she!n opens an investigation, it’s just a bluff, go with it!
empty box is another form of online lyfting, it’s when you tell the carrier that your item arrived with nothing in it. the process is similar to the first one, message the carrier etc. however just claim that it’s an empty box!
I HOPE ALL THESE TIPS HELPED PLS LET ME KNOW<333 LOVE YOU GUYS STAY HEALTHY AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES

This is gonna be the most important article I'll ever write.
The human mind isn't designed to multitask, you can debate that if you want but I'm not here to argue. Most people can only focus on what's right in front of them, and if you don't raise any suspicion, they won't have their guard up.
Think about how you were raised as a child, to be polite and respectful. So most likely you wouldn't know how to handle a situation you never encounter.
If someone's focus is heavy on closing a sale and there's a lot going on, they'll zone in and try to seal the deal and block everything out.
That's your opportunity to take what you want and leave unnoticed. You just have to judge their energy level. No one is a superhuman, they'll eventually get tired and overwhelmed, and that's when you can exploit the moment. My strategy is all about seizing opportunities. I'm always on the lookout for clues, and human behavior is predictable. You can time and gauge thier actions. Of course, you'll have to decide when to execute your plan. Blending into the background is always the best option. I dress in neutral colors and try to look forgettable, like a boring guy.
I will explain more on this theory later.

Ok y’all, here’s the ☕️ when it comes to a|i3xpr3ss 🧬
So 🧬 doesn’t work. If something doesn’t arrive, they keep telling you to get documents from your post office which is a pain in the ass. HOWEVER, damage and wrong color DOES WORK!! I took photos from different reviews to use for a dispute, and I was able to get $100 back! So if you’re planning on doing them, don’t 🧬, do wrong color / damage
