And to answer your questions:D

Firstly, yeah he can be scary if he wanted to being able to basically shapeshift with no issues. To me though, I feel like he's more spooky as a concept. Basing him off of religious trauma and the myth he's inspired by "the weird thing" and being a spectator. Basically having a stalker or someone looking over every move, everything you did through out your life, not knowing if he is judging you, why he's following you or what he thinks of you. Only few claim that they saw them in the corner of their eye. Even less knowing who or what he is before they die (shedletsky, builder man and doombringer since I headcanon them to be basically immortal)

have a doodle of him being spooky maybe because he saw someone he hates idk lol

And secondly,

I don't think scared is the right word. he can definitely see that spectator isn't trying to hurt him. So, leagues better than the killers in the game lol. He would feel maybe unnerved since before he met him when he entered the Inbetween (a place the survivors would be at if they died before the round ends and are waiting to be respawned) he never saw anyone there. But he definitely got used to him after a while and they became the yapper x listener dynamic I love <3

Thinking about how Griefer is scared to lose his dad and loves him to death cause like Thaniyel is old old

In the year the game takes place(2010, got it from the wiki) he would be 72 based on Mayor Montys dialogue on Thaniyel being a deadlift champion in 1974 which wouldve made him 36 at the time.

Which means he would be 51 when he had griefer so hes like an old parent mannn fuckckck griefers probably scared he will lose him man... sooner than later and how he wanted to be strong so he could carry his kids one day? That shit made me tear up

AND AND HOW HES PROBABLY STILL STRONG ENOUGH TO CARRY GRIEFER DOWN THE TREE DUDEEE still his baby boy😭😭 he loves brad sm.

He probably could not carry him for so long cause he needs his cane for mobility so its likely he either collapsed at the bottom of the tree or just outside of town and the citizens came to help once they spotted them.
