Nex watches the television for a little while. She is sure Maggie would do a harmless prank on her but it still doesn't make her wonder what kind of silly prank it could be. Her eyes look over towards her office door down the hall. She wondered what her code was coming up with. Though relaxing with Maggie was much needed her mind still was always in work mode.

"Well can't wait to see it when you do Maggie!" Nex welcomes the silly shenanigans. "Though... can't help but come up with payback already!"

It wasn't like Maggie was too serious about payback. But it wasn't like she couldn't have a little fun when it came to 'payback'. No her style was more a harmless prank, like the tiny ducks she'd hidden all over Sam's place. Even months later she was getting annoyed texts with a new discovery. She still wasn't sure he'd found them all... In her defense Bucky had helped and well he'd gotten bolder with hiding them than she had... Still Sam had signed her up for online dating without telling her so it felt fair... She was still getting emails notifications.

"I know so am I..." Maggie chuckles with a little twinkle in her eye. "Oh no... It'll happen when you least expect it." Well when she thought of something...

Rie listens to Sara talk, she understood about choosing a new path and leaving an old one behind. Though for Sara it was different than her own struggles to find a new light to follow on her terms. Rie holds her arm for a moment before she makes a quick motion with a loud crunching sound comes from her joint. She rolls her shoulder with a blank look. Her arm felt better now.

"Sounds... inviting. I will take you up on the offer for the night." She looks at Sara, not sure where she was going to be taken. "I'll follow your lead."

“Yes, it does,” Sara replied with a brief nod of her head. Did she wish that she had been trained to use any and all weapons differently, that it hadn’t been learn or die? Kill for the League or be killed? Of course. But she couldn’t change who she was or what she’d done. She could only make different - hopefully better - choices moving forward. Which was why she agreed, “It is about surviving, but the mission, as it were, has changed. I choose who and how I fight, and that means fighting to help the people of this city.” She then offered her another nod of the head, “So have I. But it doesn’t mean you have to, especially if someone is offering you a better place to sleep. I mean, it’s nothing fancy, but it’s a roof over your head. Warm. Dry. Cot, blanket, pillow. What do you say?”

Benn just couldn't help but smile at the compliment on the outside property. She squeezes Maggie's hand a bit tighter in response though. She bite her bottom lip as she looks at Maggie and can't help but let out a small laugh. She couldn't tell if she was over thinking things or not but is happy to be here right now.

"No I insist you can. It's here and if I'm here or not you can use it too. Especially since this summer has been hot." Benn turns as still holding onto Maggie's hand. "Or do you want to keep this place all to yourself for now?" Benn has a teasing smirk on her lips as raising her one eye brow. Would Maggie want to keep this and her all to herself? Benn could hope a bit.

"So Maggie, what do you want to do? Go for a swim or relax on the porch, or do you have something in mind?" It was an open invitation for Maggie to choose what she wanted to do.

Maggie was happy to indulge Benn. "It's beautiful, it's nice to have a safe peaceful place to come home to. Best people huh?" Maggie grinned, was she not the only one to be happier to be nearer each other after all?

Allowing Benn to pull her outside, Maggie takes it in. The deck. The beautiful hanging chair. The bench that looked perfect to sit on and watch the sun rose. And that lake .. damn it's breathtaking. All she can do is take it in. Her hand still entwined with Benn's.

"Wow..." Is all she can say, taking it all in. Realising what Benn had said after a beat, she looks to her. "It's beautiful really... Beautiful." Is she talking about the view or something else... "Wait what? That's super kind but I wouldn't want to impose."

Nex lets out a tiny playful mock gasp as placing her hand against her chest. Maggie was going to get even with her and now she had to wonder just how she was going to do that. She has seen what her friend has done to Sam before and she could only hope that she could be on the better end of that.

"Maggie, your voice says other wise but hey I'm just teasing!" She looks at the television for a moment before looking at Maggie. "So do I get to know how you will get back at me?"

Maggie could be terrible at forgetting her own birthday. But friends and family... It was rare for her. Always wanting to make sure they knew what they meant to her. "Oh damn, well I'll make a note. Yeah, we kinda just used to blend the occasions together."

"Oh you'll see. Mhmm I'll keep that in mind." Maggie glances at Nex out the corner of her eye with a cheeky smirk. She laughs alongside Nex. "Hey I never said that. We're just friends." Yeah... She didn't sound convincing in the slightest.

Benn smiles at Maggie, happy to show off her home, especially to Maggie. "Thanks, it is nothing much just a nice little place to call home when near one of the best people." Benn was even more happier to show Maggie her favorite spot.

Benn grab's Maggie's hand again and leads her out the double doors. They step out onto a deck, though in the corner there is a hanging chair. Not far from that is a nice outdoor bench that has comfy cushions on it. Off the porch is a wooden dock that leads to the lake. It was a beautiful sight with the sun beaming down on the lake and part of the deck. Benn walks Maggie over towards the bench and turns her towards the lake. It was so peaceful.

"So what do you think? Nice right?" Benn tightens her grip on Maggie's hand. "You know if you want you can bring your family here if you want when I'm not here. I encourage it."

Maggie remains quiet allowing Benn to pull her along. Fully ready to take in every little detail of Benn's new home. She loves the coziness of living room, imagining many a nights curled up on the couch with a film. Even more cozy with those blankets.

The kitchen reminded her of her own. Small but practical. It reminded her of the days she'd spend in there with her grandmother. Sure she wasn't much of a cook, but they used to have long conversations over tea or coffee. She loves the views, it feels so isolated but not in a negative way. More in a peaceful way.

"It's beautiful. Wait there's more?" Maggie's surprised but she's more than happy to follow Benn further. What awaited outside?

Nex couldn't help but to still make a note about remembering your best friend's birthday. Though the mention of Maggie remembering her own she let out a laugh. My birthday is in August! So it has passed! And you get fireworks? That is so cool Maggie!"

"What do you mean payback? I'm nothing but nice Maggie why would you need to do such a thing?" Nex playfully acts out. She places her head on Maggie's shoulder again as letting out a laugh. "Yeah I know but it's cute to see you actually might like someone. You deserve that Maggie."

"No it was a long time ago. Back in my spy days. Thanks likewise, would never let you celebrate alone. I get there. When it's on and near a holiday it's easy to forget. I mean not only did I share my birthday with my grandpa, but it's on the fourth of July so wale always got birthday fireworks."

Maggie snuggles closer to her friend. Glad to have these calm moments. "Yeah same here. Oh yeah? I'll keep that in mind when I want payback." Maggie chuckles at the boop, smiling widely at her friend. "What?" Maggie shook her head, not surprised. It wasn't like she wasn't used to the teasing when the subject of Benn came up. "You're good. Trust me you'd know if you did."

Kit smiles and finally agrees. If he was no threat to her then she saw no harm in going with him. She'd never admit it but she didn't really fight, so she had no idea if she would be good. But she would always try to make sure she could defend herself.

Kit was scared for a moment with Ruby, even if it was being nice she still was a bit apprehensive of other animals. She slowly put her fingers out to show she meant no harm.

'Lunch sounds lovely. And for lunch? Any place that allows a vegetarian option?'

No funny business, I promise. Dae was a man of his word. No harm would come to her if it was up to him. However, he couldn't guarantee trouble wouldn't follow them around in other forms. He was quite content with the dull, predictable he's worked so hard in cultivating. Unfortunately, he couldn't always keep it that way. We can take lunch afterwards, if you want. What's your favorite food? Ruby came closer to Kit, sniffing at her a bit. She did nothing else otherwise, always a well behaved canine, unless the situation called for the contrary.

Kit thinks for a moment. She was out to get some art supplies since some of hers have gone missing lately. If they are heading them same way she doesn't think there is harm in it. She nods her head in agreement.

'Sure, but no funny business. Okay?' Kit can handle herself but sometimes she just over worries about what others will do. But she really wants her art supplies. She looks down at Ruby wonder if it could smell the cat on her.

Dae snorted silently at that. He rolled his eyes, as if saying men. He knew many whose ego wouldn't be able to handle being bested by the opposite sex, though he always found it completely absurd. He, too, however, would rather avoid fighting if he had to, only ever getting involved in it as a last resource. An aching pride takes longer to heal than any physical wound. Good. He smirked, then. He then changed the subject for something he hoped would be more pleasant. Ruby and I were about to buy some work supplies, would you like to come with us?

Benn just smiles at Maggie as she takes her hand. She holds her hand tightly as pulling Maggie along to show her everything. First thing was inside the house. Once inside Benn drops her bag by the door and moves to show Maggie the living room. It was small but enough room for a few people to cozy in for a movie night. Instead of a television though Benn had a projector hanging from the ceiling pointing towards the wall. The colors and furniture were light grays with throws of gold or yellow pillows on them. A cozy large blanket was thrown on the back of the couch.

The next was the kitchen, it was small but enough to make food in. A nice little island sat in the middle of the kitchen with two stools in front of it. A coffee maker tucked away in the corner of the kitchen. Next Benn shows Maggie the rest of the house, the guest bedroom on the ground floor and the master bedroom upstairs, which had huge windows showing off the view of the mountains and forest but also overlooks the lake.

"So that's the house! Ready to see my favorite part of the whole place? It's outside." Benn has a bright smile on her face.

"Well maybe that's not always a bad thing." Maggie replied, a smile on her face. Certainly not a bad choice when it meant Benn would be in driving distance. Less distance meant more chances to see each other.

Driving up, Maggie takes in the beautiful cabin. It looked cosy and she couldn't wait for the tour. And that lake... it looked like the perfect scenery for a morning run.

Parking up the bike, Maggie waits for Benn before she climbs off herself. Pulling off her helmet she takes the cabin in a bit more. This felt... exciting? Looking Benn, Maggie takes her hand. "I would love to."
